Was that last part really necessary? A diagnosis isn't the end-all-be-all of "validity". Not everyone has the resources to get diagnosed, and just because they don't fit the current DSM to the letter, doesn't mean they're faking (cause y'know how people like to fake highly stigmatized illnesses for clout? Y'know how that's a thing people do all the time? /s)- psychology, as you may be aware, is a constantly-evolving field, and DID and OSDD are rare diagnoses that haven't really been heavily studied. Diagnosis requirements aren't static.

MPC, you don't have to publish this if you don't want to, I recall you've gotten annoyed with syscourse on this blog before. I thought you might want to know, though, how harmful and frankly hateful that ask was. You definitely don't need the question mark after the "ableism cw" tag, system gatekeepers do far more harm to the DID/OSDD community than good. It's almost like they don't actually care about destigmatizing the conditions or making things better for people living with them, they just want to feel like they're better than people they deem "fakers".

It gets really annoying, you telling us that someone in the system had to have thought of CC!George as a mushroom god thing, or seen fanart of it, or something, for him to exist that way.
