And about how even though Ronan is constantly about to explode with emotion he is very good at hiding behind emotionless blankness that I feel like is probably very reminiscent of Mór

And about how when they first brought him out he would have been very much that emotionless blank uncanny child

And how even with how different Auror is to Mór there’s still some of that in her to, a seemingly emotionless vacancy even if it is a more kind version

And how despite being the dreamt avatar for a ancient sentient forest Ronan is still so much his parents

And a slightly separate thought about how the books talk about how there was a version of Ronan before Niall’s death that only Gansey and his brothers knew

But how there must of been an even older different version of Ronan before years of being told to hide his dreams and suppress part of his identity

Adam "I am unknowable" Parrish tried so hard to prove he Doesn't Fit In because he's not like his Other Friends

he volunteered to become the eyes and hands of a sentient forest

..... a sentient, omnipotent, forest god that ended casually up being his boyfriend

oh and also, astral projection/mind palace Adam who can't do literally anything to hide even one speck of who he is - immediately recognizable to the ones he's close to, who love who he loves

So... When Declan said that Ronan's a follower, and cited Niall and Gansey...

He's made of dreams and followed the two biggest dreamers he knew. He tried to follow Adam, but dreams and ambition are not the same thing, not really. But they figured it out, and that's pretty wonderful to me.

rereading the dream thieves and I think that ronan forgetting to dream the camaro an engine is foreshadowing the matthew lynch no internal organs debacle

I support everything adam parrish does. Even the weird shit like sacrificing himself to a magic forest, scamming people for fake psychic readings even though he is in fact psychic and falling in love with an ancient, sentient horror who is stuck inside the body of an irish-american catholic teenager with a shaved head

thinking about how adam is the first one out of the main four to be revealed as some sort of supernatural above-human-being and by the end of the whole thing he's actually the most normal one of them just by virtue of not being a tree in any way shape or form

thinking about god taking seven days to make the earth and the lynch brothers taking seven days to become friends again. thinking about ronan's snake tattoo and the snake from eden. thinking about adam parrish's name. thinking about matthew being the only lynch to share his name with a saint. thinking about "maybe there were two gods in this church."
