TLM Update ramble

So i managed to write more of the putline for the fic today, im already in chapter 12, and by this point I'm more certain that the first part is gonna be roughly 20 chapters long, that mostly depends on how long each chapters turns to be.

Also is so crazy how a bit of planning and actually having at least some of the characters figured out before writting changes the way you can tell a story.

I've also being thinking of creating like a whole new ao3 fic instead of updating the already published chapters i have. Im thinking of this for 2 reasons:

I can keep the old version, called it like the beta storie, and its a memory and whoever loved that version can still read it if they want.

The capters are going to be extremly different from what i have planned, so changing it the old chapters for the new ones might be confusing for old readers.

Another idea that has being going around in my head is that I might publish the story once is fully or almost fully written, that way i still have time to write while being able to publish on a scheduel.

And I might do this, since having a short timeline when it comes to writting just makes me dont want to write at all ;w;

BUT

I do plan to create a death line to have at least hafl of this written so that I do finish this proyect.

NAME FOR THE SERIES

I need to find a new name for this story too, I've been thinking i might be able to get a good one, once i finish writting the first part.

Another problem i find myself in is, im torn between having a name for the whole series and that's it.

OR

Have the series name and also a separated name for each part (there gonna be 4 parts if i remember correctly) so i dont know

I suck at choosing names, so im truly struggling.

The original name is not my favorite to be honest, since the idea for it came from this being a one shot... and since its not a one shot anymore then the name doesnt work anymore.

If anyone has recomendations or tips on how to name a story im all ears, im dying here TTwTT

Así que me las arreglé para escribir más outlines para los episodios del fic hoy , ya estoy en el capítulo 12, y en este punto estoy más seguro de que la primera parte tendrá aproximadamente 20 capítulos, eso depende principalmente de cuánto tiempo dure cada capítulo.

También e impresionante como el tener una idea establecida sobre tus personajes y lo que son y que quieren hace una diferencia monstruoso en como escribes una historia :v

También he estado pensando en como hacer otra historia, me refiero a dejar la antigua y esta nueva versión publicarla a parte, y he pensado en esto por dos razones:

Puedo conservar la versión anterior, llamada como la historia beta, y es un recuerdo y quien amó esa versión todavía puede leerla si quiere.

Los capítulos nuevos serán extremadamente diferentes de lo que ya tenía, entonces el actualizar la historia actual con esto solo podría causar confusión para los lectores antiguos.

Otra idea que me ronda por la cabeza es que podría publicar la historia una vez que esté completa o casi completamente, de esa manera todavía tengo tiempo para escribir y poder publicarla constantemente, asi de elegir un día donde se sube ep nuevo y toda la cosa

Y podría hacer esto, ya que tener un cronograma corto a la hora de escribir simplemente hace que no quiera escribir nada ;w;

PERO

Planeo tener una fecha limite para tener por lo menos la mitad de la historia escrita, así me forzo a que realmente yo termine este proyecto.

NOMBRE DE LA SERIE

Necesito encontrar un nuevo nombre para esta historia también, he estado pensando que tal vez pueda conseguir uno bueno una vez que termine de escribir la primera parte.

Otro problema en el que me encuentro es que estoy dividido entre tener un nombre para toda la serie y eso es todo.

O

Tengo el nombre de la serie y también un nombre separado para cada parte (habrá 4 partes si no recuerdo mal), así que no lo sé.

No soy muy bueno eligiendo nombres, así que realmente estoy luchando.

They are wounded, dysfunctional, and forsaken, and that makes them so intriguing.

hennessy. hennessy. hennessy i am thinking of you. i am thinking about the significance of first vs last names in trc/tdt. how the difference between when ronan says “parrish” vs when he says “adam” MATTERS. there is softness, there is feeling in both but they are so very different. and i am thinking about how hennessy only has her last name, how she gave jordan — her first dreamt copy, her first real companion as a child — her first name. hennessy has Half a name, she is half a person. and the half she chose was the last name, the name that is arguably less yours. a last name is your Family name, it is something that signifies your place in a group, but without a first name, it does not differentiate you from the group — hennessy gave up her individuality by giving up her first name to jordan, becoming less real, less her in the process. but hennessy would always choose to do this because jordan is hennessy’s other half and she views her as her better half. and so she gave jordan the first name, because to hennessy, jordan is the orginal, better, jordan hennessy.

Some thoughts/headcanons about Rin Yamaoka, aka the Spirit in Dead By Daylight.

Originally I had some of these in a post talking about her relationship with other characters, but I didn't want to detract from the focus of that thing, so I'm moving them onto their own post.

Rin hasn't always partaken in the trials the way the Entity wants. In her early days as the Spirit, she rarely killed anyone. Why should she? Aside from the deal she made with her dying breath in exchange for revenge on her father, why is this cycle of murder necessary? She never once took a life before coming into the Fog. The same couldn't be said of her fellow Killers. Especially her many greats-grandfather Kazan. (Lisa/the Hag may be the only other exception, but after the way her life had been at its end, no one would hold her new life against her.)

She only kills occasionally nowadays, and only because she has to.

She deeply regrets making that deal for vengeance on her deathbed. If she knew it meant agreeing to this, she would've just let herself die.

Her relationship with the Oni is strange, sometimes estranged even, but they are all they have left of their old lives, the only familiar element, aside from the Entity's twisted recreation of their estate. In those early days, he wanted her to be a ruthless killer like him, like their bloodline demanded. He didn't know she was struck down by her father with a blade he once wielded himself then. After too much belittling about how dishonorable she was being to their name, she exploded with a rage that even had the fabled Oni Yamaoka stunned. Was it honorable for his descendant to kill his own wife and child?! Perhaps she should've let the Entity bring her father her instead, that way he would have someone he'd proudly call family slaying at his side. Kazan was speechless. He cared very much for his family (had a bad way of showing it) and felt his biggest failures in life were accidentally murdering his own father and letting his son participate in something that crippled him for the rest of his life. Needless to say, Kazan stopped insulting her and slowly, in his own way, developed a bond with Rin.

Her appearance is partially a result of her death, partially a consequence for not bending to the Entity's will for too long. The Entity could've reconnected her severed parts and removed the glass shards at any time. Could've given her decent clothes that covered more than the bare necessities, too. Her reluctance to sacrifice cost her. She's fortunate it barely tortures her, considering what she knows happened to people like Evan the Trapper...

She only bleeds from injuries inflicted by the Entity. The blood is so dark it's nearly black.

She suffers form chronic pain thanks to the wounds sustained at the time of her death. Some days the Entity eases it, some days it makes the pain worse. Depends on how well she's performing her task to feed it.

Her severed body parts need to remain close to her main body in order to function/float. They can be removed/taken away, in which case they become just like any other severed limb from any other body. Very few have attempted to do this, however, lest they suffer her and/or the Oni's wrath.

Even tho I haven't truly drawn all of them yet or to much, I think drawing Leo is gonna become my favorite thing to do.

Which to me is no surprise given how in any iteration of the turtles he has always being my favorite soooo...

This image shocks me immensely because of:

a) the horror and determination engraved on Alicent’s face

b) Heleana watching her mother defending (and holding onto) Aemond in the background.

I think that the incident at Driftmark had a different potency on each of Alicent’s kids, but especially upon Heleana it must have impressed the idea that “a mother fights for her child no matter what” and that she doesn’t stay silent.

I can only imagine how Heleana feels after B&C, but the sense of being unable to protect and stand up for her son must be devastating.

And further than that, Heleana must be repelled by the idea of being coerced and finally having chosen to sacrifice one of her own kids. She probably feels that she has failed as a mother. That unlike Alicent, she has no right to demand justice for Jaehaerys’ murder because she herself chose him over Maelor. Maybe she blames herself for not doing enough to save him (even if she offered up her own life instead of her children’s), and possibly compares her efforts to defend her children with Alicent’s defense of Aemond. In essence, she probably tragically feels that she offered up one of her children herself instead.

In any case, this is such a heartbreaking and unsettling position to be in and it makes the emotional and psychological toll she consequently suffered all the more unbearable, because even if she drew courage and strength from and tried to imitate her mother’s actions, nothing could have ever prepared her for this.

The Raven Cycle is great because you go into it thinking it's another weird YA romance and then you get thrown into four (or seven if you read the sequel trilogy) books of batshit insane magic and then at the end of it you find out it really was a love story the whole time
