Surprise, surprise! Dragon siblings are back and got a little redesign, so they look more like the Light Dragon.

I originally created AU, where Zelda is a half dragon, and she has hybrid babies with Link just to troll people who think it’s a great idea (below @redundantz sketches with hybrid Zelda from Instagram) and show them how much cringe their dreams actually are. But then I realized one thing: such transformation makes my ZeLink kiddos much more original than anyone else's. I’ve traveled across different fandom corners, and I’ve noticed that a lot of ZeLink fankids have similar designs because artists were inspired by each other. Even Mark’s design (blond boy with a tail) was based on Ferisae’s Daphnes. But the dragon features help him to stand out somehow.

Moreover, this AU would show how much Link loves Zelda. He wouldn’t care if his girlfriend was half-beast. The main thing is that she is close to him, can communicate with him, and hugs. After all, it is still better than the scenario from @bahbahhh Linktober comic.

But if you're not satisfied by this modification, I completely understand why. These three have normal forms that you can see here.

Soooo, I got to thinking yesterday, and I found it kind of cool:

Like an AU of an AU, if Nya's was more prominent rather than recessive.

Althoug her and Kai are the same type of dragon: Nya is more blue due to her element, in turn turning her more of a water-typed, while Kai is red due to his.

Also in this: Nya with a lazy eye, because I thought of the idea and it's adorable to me.

Since this coming year is the year of the dragon, the dragon family (and Link) are wishing you a very happy New Year.

For Hyrule Park, this year was not eventful, but at the same time significant. Firstly, the second chapter, which had been in the works for two years, was finally completed. Secondly, I decided to rework the story to make it more interesting for potential readers. For sensible reasons, I didn’t want to completely remake the comic, so I had to do it in fanfic format.

Overall, I'm glad that with the release of Tears of the Kingdom I was able to come up with a more structured plot. Of course, I will have to think about and redo a lot of details to make the story interesting and understandable. So in the first days of the coming year I will be busy writing out the lore and arranging the existing plot details in order to understand what exactly it is missing.

Who would have thought that there would be another night fury in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise? In the game Rise of Berk, there will indeed be another NF - Midnight Wrath. Are you surprised? Personally, yes.

Since Toothless doesn't have any canonical backstory at all, it would be really cool if MW turned out to be his relative. A sister, for example, or a mother. It seems that I have another headcannon in which MW is twice as big as Toothless, which was influenced by being in the Hidden World, and her patterns are different for the same reason.

Just look at Toothless, he's thrilled to have met another night fury, but it looks like the two haven't recognized each other yet. But the Light Fury seemed to be wary after seeing a fury of such size. Hopefully, the girls will get along.

I kindly ask you not to steal my art and not to put them on other sites without my knowledge. Do not use them as dummies, do not assign them to yourself.

Yesterday, I read comments below @redundantz sketches with hybrid Zelda, and people there were wondering why she did not preserve the dragons features. Then I imagined what their children (which I introduced in one of my previous posts) would look like, if everything happened exactly as the public demanded.

So, Mark would hate himself for looking like elf/Zonai/dragon hybrid because everyone mocks him for that. He even tried to get rid of his features by barbarous methods, like chop off horns or trim ears (but his self-preservation instinct didn't let him do that).

Gabriel, on the other hand, would be pleased by the fact that he looks like a mythical creature and even possesses some superpowers. Plus, he knows how much majestic Zonai and dragons were, so he sincerely respects them and is proud of what partly looks like them.

Aryll would be positive about this feature as well because she had heard about how cool her parents were as demigods. She would help Mark deal with his complexes and work with Gabriel to convince the other kids that being a hybrid isn’t that horrible.

I know, it sounds like a fever dream, but come on! We have Shrek, where Donkey had kids with FREAKING FEVER DRAGON. So, why not?

Moreover, I see it as a good idea for BotW threequel:

Let's say that Zelda actually preserved her dragon features. However, they are visible only when she enters into godness mode. But her children were still able to inherit these newly acquired abilities, and since they don’t yet know how to handle them, the kids will initially look like Hylian/Zonai/dragon hybrids with uncontrollable abilities And then Mark, Gabriel, and Aryll would learn that they are the new heroes of Hyrule. Well, or something like that. In game format, it wouldn't look very good, so this is another reason why I want an anime based on AoC, BotW and TotK.

Anyway, I perfectly understand why Nintendo decided to make the ending exactly the way we have. After all this hell, that was in previous two games, Link deserves more than being an armless disabled, and Zelda deserves more than being a strange hybrid who shocks others (don't forget that she's a school teacher now). Don't get me wrong, I respect other people's opinions, but it's better for me to be myself and make my AU in the way I WANT.

But you still can let me know if you like regular versions of Wilde siblings (in my AU, this is Link's last name) or their dragon ones?
