The three-year wait is not the only reason I completed this request. This was a great opportunity to come up with designs for these cultists, and now I want to share the lore I came up with.
[Sketching Stories ā6: Astor's cult]
Besides Sheikah and Yiga, there is another clan. I don't know what it's called yet, but I know that this clan came to Hyrule thousands of years ago from another world (hello, A Link Between Worlds). This clan of sorcerers has a very complex history: some of its members revered Ganon, others simply practiced magic.
So, about Astor's cult: he, his older brother Arthur and these six men are from that same clan. Arthur didn't liked worshipping Ganon and he left this part of his clan after Astor became the worshiper. Then he (Astor) gathered six of his clan's members so they will help him to achieve his goals. Soon Arthur was invited by his younger brother to participate in one ritual, and then, the events from that cutscene happened.
Waiting for someone to draw the Astors(?) like this:

I realized that my Linktober entries are much more interesting when they involve my AU, which is Breath of the Wild saga crossover with South Park. And since I had no idea what to draw for day 9, going back to this odd mixture was a pretty good option.
Now to the context: Stan and his friends had to jump back into the same portal through which they first found themselves in Hyrule to find Jimmy and Kevin. However, the portal malfunctioned, and Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny found themselves 10,000 years in the past. Trying to find at least some civilization that will help them understand where they are and what to do next, the guys ended up in the Depths. Now itās a mystery to them what this place is and how to get out of here.

[HYRULE PARK: 5TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL]
July 30th marked 5 years since I published the first drawing of Link meeting the boys from South Park. You have no idea what has happened over the years. First of all, Hyrule Park has outlived most of the other South Park AU comics such as Mirai Park, Hell Park, Revenge Park, SP Fleur Blue, SP Left 4 Dead, my pals South Park High and others. While they were actively developing and then abruptly canceled, Hyrule Park was just drawing its second chapterš. During this time, my AU acquired a couple of fans but the comic took so long to develop that most of those fans lost interest in it (and some even lost interest in Zelda and/or South Park in general). But despite all this, I do not lose hope of acquiring my own fan base who would draw me fanarts, made memes, or just asking me, "When is the next part?"
Guys, I hope that your interest in Hyrule Park will be renewed, because I actually waited all these years for the release of Tears of the Kingdom so that I could immediately build the entire chronology of events, and at the same time honed my writing skills. Someone will say: āHey, why do you need to hone something? Your pursuit of ideals will only destroy you! Do whatever you want.ā And I really did. And here is the result: the comic version is being reworked, because I started making it back when I knew very little about the lore of both the Breath of the Wild saga and the Zelda universe in general.
Fun fact: I did not plan this story as a multimedia saga. It was supposed to be a short banter comic about Stan, Craig, and their homies ending up the world of Breath of the Wild, meeting Link, going on an adventure, saving Zelda and going home. But then I found out that the BotW sequel is in development, then I found out how fan comics work and what is interesting to fandoms. Then Age of Calamity was released, and I came up with a prequel fanfic called Hyrule Warriors: Backstories, after which I learned about new needs in the fandom. By the time I adapted this story for Ficbook.me, its canon had changed to such an extent that I had to rewrite everything from the beginning. Fortunately, I only wrote the first two chapters. Then I got other projects (FNAF MA, The EDM Gang and even the lore of my cybersona grew into a plot worthy of a manga), I had a need for promotion, so I started doing all these marathons of my favorite animated series and AU, taking part in Linktober and Art Fight... In the end, I have ADHD, a mental disorder that makes it hard to concentrate on anything, so my brain needed a change of activity all the time, which distracted me from Hyrule Park.
So, yeah. There are a crap ton of reasons for delays. But there is good news: I am already prepared enough to continue this story. I changed its format, and now I donāt have to draw every scene of the comic. Instead, I can describe some of them with text. I also formulated a more or less clear picture of further events. All I need are those for whom I will try, and I need to know about such people through feedback.
Hyrule Park - 5 years later, everything is just beginning!

The creation of Hyrule Park takes a very long time, and most of that time is brainstorming. But at least it's good for the comic. For example, today I learned about the main problem of war arcs in shonen, and in my opinion, the Breath of the Wild saga is, to some extent, a shounen but in video game form. And if you follow this logic, the beginning of Great Calamity can be considered a war arc.
Why am I talking about this? The point is that "Hyrule Warriors: The backstories" will not just be a prequel fanfic to the main story of the comic (which has some significant differences from the story of the original games), but my own take on the Breath of the Wild anime. This is how I would like to see at least the story of Age of Calamity there: not an alternative canon, but how everything really happened. I would really like other fans to support my ideas, so I have to bring them to fruition.
For example, in order not to repeat the mistakes of Kishimoto (the creator of Naruto), I will concentrate specifically on revealing the characters, their motives and personalities. Like, how did Zelda and Mipha developed their romantic feelings towards Link, or what the friendship between Urbosa and Zelda's mother was like, or the life of Sheikah sisters because I'm sure there's a lot to say about them. Also, I would really like to improve personalities of such characters as Revali, Kohga and Astor because I see that these characters are something more than what the majority of fandom says about them or how they were portrayed in game.
And now, back to the war arc. Unlike Naruto or My Hero Academia, this arc will be very short, only five or six chapters, one for each Champion + Impa. As for the presentation of the plot, I havenāt fully figured it out and I would like to know your opinion on this matter, because who else but you knows what a good fanfic should be like (I think I should ask this not so much from Zelda fans as from anime fans. Who else but them, tormented by bitter experience, will tell me how to do better, but the help of the Zeldafans will also not be superfluous). The only thing I know is that it shouldn't follow the already established shonen formula that they are often criticized for.

[MAXIMUM THE POWER]
Here, I present to you my concept of gaining powers in the Hyrule Park universe. It lies in the fact that in the Depths, there are lodes of magic crystals that can give anyone incredible power, and Kevin became the lucky owner of such stone. I wonāt be too verbose and will simply give you this page from my little red book:
Oh, crap! I forgot to mention "Fusion of the objects" on this sheet! Well, it comes with phase 1.
With all this, there is a significant nuance: it is necessary to train in order to keep such a powerful force under control. Otherwise, it can exert such pressure that the brain may explode from overstrain. But when you learn how to use new abilities, you will be able to defeat Glooming Hands and even the Demon King.

Important announcement: Hyrule Park will change its format!
So this July it will be five years since I introduced this AU to the world, and four years since I started working on the comic. Since then, the work has not progressed much, but all because of the amount of work on my other projects. I look at all this and realize that if everything continues in the same direction, then creating a comic will take me forever. I will slowly turn into YandereDev, who works on one game for ten freaking years.
And so, when I remade the first chapter, I realized that this story did not need to be told in comic book format. I can only draw action scenes, while filler scenes can be described with a single image and accompanying text. This will save a lot of time and allow me to work on other projects, as well as take part in events like Linktober or Art Fight. Also, this format will allow me to tell the story of Hyrule Park not only through digital drawings, but also through traditional ones (I'm just obsessed with drawing with alcohol markers lately).
So, itās agreed, my dears: as soon as I finish reworking the second chapter, in which I need to redraw only those pages that do not fit into the current canon, I will make Hyrule Park in the format of a book, which is sometimes interrupted by the pages of a comic book. It will be something like a hybrid of manga and light novel.
See you after Art Fight, fellas!

[TOGETHER AGAIN]
I can't believe it's been a year since Tears of the Kingdom came out. Those three years during which I waited for this game seemed like an eternity, and now time flies past me so quickly that itās even scary...
But let's not focus on my anxiety and take a look at a simple drawing I made to celebrate this anniversary. As you know, the events of the second season take place four years after the first, although some sources claim that the difference between BotW and TotK is actually seven years (the reference point was Hudson's and Mattison's son). And if I had maintained this gap, then Jimmy and his friends would have returned to Hyrule at the age of 17, which could have been much more interesting, but in the comics everything is already based on a four-year gap. And so, if the South Park boys returned to Hyrule at seventeen years old, it would only be to see Link (which, according to the AU canon, will never happen).

Thank you, @red-gekkouga and @akkalatechlabs for giving me the idea to make Jerrin the scapegoat for my (and Clyde's) trollingš
In fact, Clyde began to dislike her for a very trivial reason: she was very strict with him, did not allow him to touch or even take a closer look at the objects in the laboratory. Robbie's revelations about Jerrin's tantrums added fuel to the fire.
More of this coming soon in Chapter 3...
Or maybe, not so soon because I'm extremely busy with my other projects.
I hate Jerrin, but I didn't know she was ABUSIVE! Was it because of the whole Cherry thing or did I miss something-
[ RUBS HANDS TOGETHER ]
I have hatred because of this.

It's finally happened! Four years later, I decided to update the main cast references, making the sheets less cluttered, removing all the useless information, and updating the character designs. This time I'll try to do the same with the Zelda characters and my OCs for this AU, but for now I'll take a little break and work on materials for my original universe and edit these folks' pages on Wiki.
And if you're wondering what the old version looked like, it's still on this profile.

I made new sketches of these ghosts in my little red book. Now they look less ugly and more like spirits tired of being in purgatory.
[SKETCHING STORIES ā4: GHOSTS FROM THE PAST]
I have long thought that our Link will at some point meet the ghosts of his previous reincarnations. How exactly this will happen, I can not yet say, because it will be huge spoilers. But I can show you sketches of their designs and give you a brief background. Since Hyrule Park takes place in child timeline, there are only Links from Skyward Sword, Ocarina of Time Twilight Princess, Minish Cap, and Four Swords.
Sky Link used to be an incredibly happy man who lived with Zelda and had two kids: a son and a daughter. His whole happy life ended when he was invited to a long-term military campaign. Two years later, he was found dead in the middle of the Gerudo desert. As it turned out, he died of dehydration at the age of 38. Before dying, Link remembered Demiseās curse, and he had hope that he could meet his beloved Zelda in another life...
Hero of the Time died three times and linked to himself two more timelines (sorry for the pun). For the first time (child timeline), he died at the age of 35, when he went to war, leaving his wife Malon, three children, and brother Ben. Before he died, he managed to play the melody on ocarina, after which he was able to travel back in time (in fact, in another timeline). There, already in the adult timeline, he stayed with Zelda, have a daughter with her, and became a commander. But this time Link could not avoid dying, and it happened when he was 28. Hero of the time again applied the ocarina and moved to downfall timeline, where he was killed by Ganon in a pitiful 17 years. At the moment of his third death, the guy realized that his artifact was nothing but trouble, and he decided to destroy the ocarina by smashing it on the floor. So his soul was able to return to its native timeline, but due to the constant leaps in time, his spirit looks like a 60-year-old man.
I canāt say much about the death of Twilight Link. When he was 24, his village was raided, and in an attempt to protect his family, Link was killed by an axe to the head.
The Four Swords Link died at the age of 19 for unknown reasons. One day, he just disappeared, and his body was never found. His spirit never tells anyone how he died... (In fact, I just did not, so I will be interested to know your theories).
Of course, these are not the final designs, and I still have a lot of work to do. I wonder if I should add Linkās spirit from Four Swors Adventures, which is also in the child timeline? On one hand, there are the games with the same name, but on the other hand, somehow at different ends of the timeline...

[SKETCHING STORIES ā5: LITTLE RED BOOK]
When I watched how YouTubers like Beq Art or well_D_raw drew anime characters with liners in their mini sketchbooks, I wanted the same set for myself, but to make small sketches for Hyrule Park.
I want to share some of them with you, but not all of them because they could potentially contain major spoilers.
Here I tried to redesign Jimmy's exoskeleton that he will wear in seasons two and three.
Clyde tests the mechanical suit that Robbie was creating for Link.
Astor's lifetime: from insatiable brat (when Zelda was born), to mediocre sorcerer (when Zelda's mother died), to prophet of doom (AOC events), to vengeful spirit (season 2 events, but Iām no longer sure whether Astor can fit into them).
Just a stupid idea for a storyline with koroks. Jimmy will ignore Hetsu's request to collect 900 koroks, since he knows full well that they do not have time for this. However, Butters feels bad for Hetsu and decides to secretly collect these little creatures. Open Alt to read the dialogue.
And here, I tried to draw in the format of already mentioned Beq Art and well_D_raw. Here's what I have:
Sketch of Zelda's mother
In my AU, Link will wear the Yiga uniform, just like in TotK. But I won't say in which season this will happenš¤«
And finally, I present to you Maraku - the mother of Impa and Purah. Her name is a derivative of passion fruit, which in my language is called "marakuyya"
From now until the end, I will only be drawing concepts for Hyrule Park in this little book, while my old unfinished sketchbook is now free for other kinds of drawings.

The first thing I decided to do in 2024 was to finish the drawings that I didnāt have time to finish in 2023. I donāt have many of those: these are sketches of Robbieās parents, who will appear in the Afterlife fanfic.
Meet Robbie's father, Khariton. He moved to Kakariko Village as soon as he learned that scientists were living there, studying ancient technologies and creating new ones. In his native village, Khariton was considered an eccentric and even dangerous to society, so the young inventor did not think long about moving.
Khariton became a mentor for Purah. It was him who helped her learn all about Sheikah technologies and fall in love with science in general. Robbie often accompanied Purah during classes, which is how they became friends.
And this is Robbie's mother, Hera (yes, I named her after a Greek goddess because I felt like it). She met Khariton when he demonstrated his next invention to the whole village. Hera fell in love with the newly arrived scientist for his intelligence, loyalty, and excellent sense of humor. However, when their son was born, the woman realized that her husband was putting the childās life in danger by continuing to carry out his experiments. Unfortunately, the situation worsened when Robbie grew up because he became interested in his father's activities and wanted to help him.

Since this coming year is the year of the dragon, the dragon family (and Link) are wishing you a very happy New Year.
For Hyrule Park, this year was not eventful, but at the same time significant. Firstly, the second chapter, which had been in the works for two years, was finally completed. Secondly, I decided to rework the story to make it more interesting for potential readers. For sensible reasons, I didnāt want to completely remake the comic, so I had to do it in fanfic format.
Overall, I'm glad that with the release of Tears of the Kingdom I was able to come up with a more structured plot. Of course, I will have to think about and redo a lot of details to make the story interesting and understandable. So in the first days of the coming year I will be busy writing out the lore and arranging the existing plot details in order to understand what exactly it is missing.

Behold! Fierce Deity mask just got its new master.
The idea of giving Stan from my AU Fierce Deity mask came to me last year, if not before. However, after the release of Tears of the Kingdom, it seemed to me more and more that this detail would be superfluous in the story. But I hope I can still get this mask into history because Stanley looks amazing in it!
And here is my early sketch for this entry:
If you're new here and don't understand, why the hell this guy is Stan Marsh from South Park, just check this post where I demonstrated my designs for South Park characters in different ages.

Another Linktober entry related to my comic featuring one of my favourite races in Zelda gamesš
Phew! I didnāt think Iād make it in time.
You probably noticed I didnāt publish anything on Day 4. The thing is, in order to save time, Iāve decided sometimes to do one drawing for two days. Itās going to happen two more times in this event, I assure you.
So, context: Riju noticed that in the middle of the desert a giant creature like a camel stood up, and then a strong sandstorm rose. Trying to figure out what happened, she learns about the beasts created thousands of years ago, their posession by the malice, and the tears that will help them break free of the curse. Riju immediately goes in search of the necessary tear and meets a guy of her race and about her age, which genuinely surprised the girl. Then, in the course of conversations, it turned out that this guy is none other than Token Black ā a boy from another dimension who four years ago (in my AU this is the gap between BotW and TotK) together with his friends tried to illegally enter her town. Then Riju and Token returned to Gerudo Town where the guy got his turban, mask, goggles and kite board.
This is the direct sequel of my entry for Day 20 of Linktober 2022

Sometimes I demonstrate my ideas through memes and re-drawings. Just because everyone loves memesš
Another day, another SpongeBob parody.
Oh yeah, Link once again got an annoying sidekick. Now itās a geek teenager from another dimension. At least this guy has a great sense of humor.
If you're still unaware, this is the concept art for my crossover AU comic of BotW/TotK and South Park. And this kid is none other than Kevin Stoley from this show. Just a few years older and a different haircut. Also, if you remember my last year's entry for Day 6, I've created my own design for Link's main costume in TotK.
