DotAGE pits you against the end of the world
Tumblr media
DotAGE survival roguelite turn-based city builder game now has a release date for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to Michele Pirovano's dedication and hard work, this is becoming possible. Due to make it s way onto Steam next month. DotAGE is an upcoming experience due to debut on Steam on October 4th, 2023. It’s also a unique blend of various mechanics that might remind you of playing board games with friends. The release date promises so much more to it than that. DotAGE has been a labor of love for Michele Pirovano, who has been working to create this survival roguelite turn-based city builder since 2014. As the wise elder of a small village, the end of the world is on the horizon. So of course, it's your duty to help your village residents, Pips, prepare and survive this looming disaster. DotAGE is a challenge where every decision you make has outcomes, and time is ticking. In DotAGE, you'll have to strategize on multiple fronts. From setting up your village to deciding where your workers should focus their efforts. There is a lot to plan and arrange. Want to have fresh food? Make sure you're growing crops and looking after animals. Need tools? You'll have to build a place where these can be made. There’s also the element of death; sometimes, you’ll need to oversee funerals. Due to ensure that everyone is cared for, even in their final moments.

Since the deeper you dive in, the more you'll discover, making each game distinct. With over 200 structures to create, 70 materials to manage, and an amazing 600 events that could happen. No two games will be the same. There's a vast scope for experimentation. Plus, as you progress, new features are unlocked, due to offer even more depth. In a nutshell, DotAGE offers an intriguing blend of strategy, decision-making, and exploration. It’s not just about building and assigning tasks; it's about delving into a world that’s ever-changing. all manner of objects, hid; appeared not to know her way
...Changed in the last half a year. Jealous fantasies. Decline in memory, frequently during food preparation. Pointless puttering about in the home. Fear of people she knows well. Hid all manner of objects, which she then could not find. Appeared not to know her way...

lately wonder if this project devoted to “pointless puttering” is a welcome extended to — and thereby hastening — the onset of that or some like-minded plight.

huge eric fan now for how he is about his weird little two-thousand-year-old enlightened teenage dad . like, oh, i'm huge and tall but i never want to seem like i'm looming over you so whenever we're face to face i'll kneel or sit below you and look up like you're some kind of jesus . when i met you i thought you were death and you said come walk with me through the dark and i said what's in it for me? and it's been a thousand years and i'm the age now that you were then and i haven't changed; i'm still a careless, blood-soaked opportunist and loving it, but you decided you were a pacifist somewhere in the past couple centuries and i SO SUPER don't get it but i love you so i hope you're happy and enjoying your linen smocks and ancient mien of peaceful remorse. and then i let you die because you think it will help and i hate to let you down. and i never get over you, ever

I feel like the moral of Eowyn's and Pearl Took's story is that it is inadvisable for one family member to be singularly responsible for the caretaking of another.

As Valentine's Day recedes from us for yet another year, I'd like to take some time to show appreciation for everyone here who takes the time to read some of the inane things I write on here, and maybe even likes, reblogs or comments some of that stuff.
Appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for being here <3

“Hey, bud! I just wanted to check if there’s anything you need for college. You know, stuff you can’t ask your dads about. Jumbo box of condoms, industrial tub of lubricant, autographed poster of my band so the other kids will know you’re cool . . . “

So, I think I'm really adapting to having a mobility scooter. I've got a backpack which is permanently assigned to hanging off the back of the seat, a light mounted to the front basket, and I jury-rigged a trekking pole carrying bag to hang from the front with my grabber thingy in it.
Oh! And I have a speaker and MP3 player mounted to it as well.

dotAGE: Celebrating 1 Year of the Roguelite Turn-Based City Builder
Tumblr media
dotAGE update and 1 year anniversary of the roguelite turn-based city builder game on Linux, Steam Deck, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the creative talents of developer Michele Pirovano. Available on Steam, GOG, and Humble Store.. If you're a fan of the game, get ready to celebrate! Michele Pirovano, the solo developer behind this indie hit, just released a free update called the Birthday update to mark dotAGE 1-year anniversary on Steam. Playable on Linux and it's Steam Deck verified too. For those of you new to the title, it’s a turn-based village builder where you manage your workers, grow crops, herd animals, forge tools, and even bury corpses (yep, that’s part of the deal!). Each move you make matters, so think it through before hitting the next turn. Now, let's talk about what's fresh in this dotAGE update. First up, we've got the Merchant VIP, who brings along 3 new events to keep things fun and unpredictable. Plus, if you play on October 4th, you’ll unlock a special in-game celebration. After the apocalypse in your game, there are mini-events to keep you on your toes. On top of that, the game is now localized in Japanese, Spanish, and Russian, so more players can enjoy gameplay in their own language.

Some practical upgrades include hotkeys, better controller support, and new settings for accessibility and gameplay tweaks. That means smoother controls and an overall more streamlined experience—no matter how you like to play. The new update makes every run in dotAGE feels fresh because the Elder’s memories are a bit fuzzy. Which leads to new surprises each time you start a game. You’ll get to unlock more than 200 buildings, 30 professions, and 70 resources as you play. And as you progress, you’ll unlock new game mechanics, like unique VIPs, new ailments to manage, and even new Elders to guide your village. But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows—each turn, the forces (or Domains) that control the world will throw something wild your way. We're talking about everything from diseases and earthquakes to... kittens? Yes, kittens. Can you survive long enough to figure out what’s behind the apocalypse? What’s great about the dotAGE update is that you can still set your own challenge. If you just want to chill and enjoy the cozy town-building vibes, that’s totally an option. But if you're more into proving your skills, crank up the difficulty and take on the mastery levels. You can grab dotAGE right now and jump into the 1 year anniversary update. It's also discounted 20% on GOG. Regular priced Steam and Humble Store for Linux, Steam Deck, Mac, and Windows PC. Priced at $17.59 USD / £14.99 / 17,49€.
