Re prev post the most bizarre thing about DD2 is it ALMOST works. It's SOOOOO close to being a very fun rougelite! They just went a little too hard on the "Sometimes strong perks come with risks or drawbacks" and "Sometimes you'll be unlucky" aspects of the first game.

like, archives used to be THE BIGGEST overwatch event for me because it was the most we got in terms of in-game lore and i just genuinely enjoyed playing them (retribution, my beloved), but invasion? don't know her. i refuse to pay for it and not only do i not regret not getting to play it - i haven't even bothered to check the gameplay on youtube. this is how uninterested i am in the game these days. so yeah, the fumbled overwatch big time.

it depends on how much resources you're willing to devote to the books since it's about 20 books for the entire enderverse, and even if you only want to read enders game itself it still is a big commitment????

I have some money saved for video games exclusively and I could buy totk right now BUT! I could also buy botw (I used to have it borrowed) with the DLCs that I didn't have the money for but now I do, plus I could play the game to 100% I used to be very close but I missed a few things

ALSO! I could buy skyward sword so that game can finally go from the "Zelda games I've played but not finished" corner to the "Finished Zelda games" corner

Okokok thoughts on the dragon age trailer. 1) I have GOT to read the books now god dammit and 2) I actually like the idea of a more stylized art style. I doubt the trailer is gonna be the in game style but tbh I don't like heavily realistic game styles. That and I would like the game to be brighter because sometimes the darker areas in inquisiton are AWFUL I CANT FUCKING SEE

When I was in highschool, the school held a Halloween event, I went on a Mary cosplay, easy to say that almost no one recognized me.... And the people who did thought I was a hetalia character?... Only one person actually knew who I was and they didn't say anything at first, they just approached and pretended to pluck the petals on the rose I was carrying and said something referencing the game that I can't remember anymore. Excited I asked to confirm if they knew who I was (since everyone thought I was another character) and they said Mary. I was really happy

it makes sense of course that you would not be able to then have a down payment if he doesn't agree to it (since it's a mutual expense too) but don't you have your own money to buy stuff that you want?

Yes and no. All of my money is his money and all of his money is my money. IE we share everything, even if we have it in our 'own' accounts, it's expected that it I need something (like gas in my car) and I don't get paid for 2 days, he pays for it. Or if we need groceries and he doesn't get paid until the end of the week, I buy them. If I want to buy something not in our budget, I generally ask him for permission to do so. He usually doesn't say no unless it would be an exorbitant espense (more than $50 or so). If I want something but can only be purchased online, I ask him to purchase it for me.

This works best for us because I work part time and sometimes don't get hours at all on days I'm scheduled to come in. For example I was scheduled yesterday, but since there was only one appointment, I didn't go in. We would have a slightly different arrangement if I was working full time, but I'd still ask permission to buy things. We also are not well off by any stretch of the imagination, as the only thing that keeps us above the poverty line is his works generous bonus system. So our budgeted monthly 'fun' money that doesn't go to savings is about $30.
