Ship anon's back to ponder which kinds of antagonists this new Cass book could use. I actually wouldn't hate revisiting her dad, that 'Mad Dog' kid from the first series' end issues, or even that little Cricket twerp from her 'Red Robin' cameos. Or Deathstroke-but no 'according to keikaku', no goofy grenade escapes, no 'lawl I can solo the Justice League & read u reading me'. Just pick that overhyped doucheball apart so thoroughly Ravager and Jericho get sympathetic joint aches.

Ooh good question. I know David Cain is technically dead (as far as I know? He died during New 52 so idk what his status is now), but I HIGHLY agree that I want him back. His relationship with Cass is one of the most interesting things about early Batgirl (2000), and it's been ages since we've explored any of that. I also think Mad Dog or Marque or any other siblings would be interesting to use. It would flesh out the solo's focus on family, since we're already having Shiva!

Cricket might be interesting, though I wonder if they'll acknowledge Black Bat or her stint in Hong Kong? I find this one unlikely, at this point Cricket is like an inside joke, but hey maybe it really is time to pick up this loose thread.

But huge YES to Cass humbling Deathstroke again. I think it should be a tradition, just like her beating up Dick - she should pound Slade into the ground every so often. Plus I really want more Cass and Rose interactions!! Actually the trio of Cass-Rose-Jason might be the funniest combo of people ever, I kinda need that right now. God I'm so excited for that solo!!

I like to think that Doctor Who from the Master's perspective could be called 'One Man's Quest To Get His Spouse To Come Back Home And Abandon His Massive Ant Colony'. Everything is so much funnier if you picture the Master being absolutely baffled at the Doctor defending Earth, because he's borderline immortal whilst humans die so quickly - killing a human is like stepping on a spider, and the Doctor is the guy who swoops in with a cup and paper to move the spider outside even if the decision seems nonsensical. I like to reframe the Master's attempts to take over the universe as him desperately asking the Doctor "we could get a dog? Or a cat? Or adopt? Are the ants really worth it, you have no other hobbies".
