Peter ending up at the Stilinski's house after the fire as "suspiciously large dog" and getting nursed back to health by Stiles.

I think Noah is pretty dubious about the large “dog” he finds Stiles with when he gets home, but he’s also helpless when his son looks up at him with those big brown eyes and wobbling lower lip and says, “Dad, he’s hurt. We have to help him!”

But the thing is, it turns out Peter’s not healed in wolf form, but the wounds he suffered in the fire basically disappeared under his skin. I dunno, it’s some weird shifter magic. So the vet is like, “I don’t know what’s wrong with him. He seems fine physically.” (Is this a metaphor for invisible illness? Or for the wounds we have that nobody can see? Maybe)

Even Noah can see that the dog isn’t okay, and he really hopes that it doesn’t have some weird illness it can somehow pass on to Stiles, but he doesn’t stop Stiles from taking care of the dog.

Stiles doesn’t know why the dog isn’t okay, but he clearly isn’t. It’s hard for him to walk. He sleeps for hours at a time, and sometimes when he’s awake, he lets out mournful howls that send a shiver down Stiles’s spine.

Stiles will never know how much he’s really doing to heal Peter. Peter thinks he might have been stuck in pain for years if he hadn’t stumbled upon this boy. Stiles pets him constantly, cuddles with him at night, coos soft encouraging words to him when he howls. His love and loyalty is like pack, and it allows Peter to heal from his wounds much more quickly.

Stiles names the dog Thor, and he could swear it rolls his eyes at him whenever he says it, but he still comes when Stiles calls.

Thor refuses to wear a collar or leash, but he follows Stiles to school every day once he’s doing better, and he’s always waiting when Stiles gets out. This would be awesome anyway, but it’s extra awesome because Stiles gets bullied all the time, and now nobody bothers him to or from school anymore since Thor will place himself between Stiles and the bullies and growl viciously until they run away. It’s good for Scott too, because it wasn’t doing his asthma any favors when he and Stiles had to make a run for it.

So yeah, the Stilinskies end up having a dog. Kind of. I say kind of, because it’s not really a typical owner and pet situation. Thor is ungovernable. He comes and goes when he pleases. He never seems hungry, but he also rarely eats the food Stiles puts out for him.

Noah won’t admit it to Stiles, but Thor does seem to understand more than the average dog. He’s also huge, which would be disconcerting if Noah didn’t have clear proof that Thor would protect them with his life. All in all, it’s a strange situation, but soon neither of the Stilinskis can imagine a life without their dog.

I got to watch TF: One yesterday and, oh my goodness... It was so good. That is probably one of the best—if not the best—Transformers movie ever and I am not exaggerating.

The writing, the characters, the animation, the freaking world-building... It was PHENOMENAL! I'm still reeling from the experience.

This, was my genuine reaction to that film. Though, it is my reaction to TF in general... but that is beside the point.

Today I became a dad of two again and I’m filled with so much joy I can’t believe this became a reality 😭

Fantti is a 4,5 year old German shepherd who was matched to me by my dear friend. Fantti needed a home and I have both that and all the love in the world to give him ❤️

The best part is that both me and Aino have known Fantti for some time now, so bringing him home was super easy; it was like we come home together every day, so familiar and mundane. He’s such a good and well behaved boy I’m so proud of him and I’m also very proud of Aino for being such a good sport and accepting him to her home right away. 🥹

I can’t wait for all the adventures we’ll share together— you came into my life just the right time and this feels like it was meant to be. Life has been extremely rough and depressing for a long time, but now I feel like we three are gonna be alright ❤️

Rent is a terrible musical and Jason will not be the first person in Gotham to voice this opinion

it's a musical that while having the backdrop of the story being about revolution against an upper class that refuses to make anyone uncomfortable. The status quo is not rocked so people with money can still relate.

The entire character cast are assholes, even the kindest of the main cast still murdered a dog and sang a catchy tune and had no remorse afterwards.

the show never really goes anywhere, character 's don't change and frankly don't care to.

It idealizes drug use and being poor, while there is a subplot for the homeless, there is no care shown for them and kind of implies a choice to be homeless.

That being said he was in the main cast as angel.

Jason is a hypocrite but is well aware of the fact unlike the rest of his family.

He doesn't choose the musical, the director did, and when he had a role time seems to slow down.

Being a vigilante, everything is fast paced, you need to get ducks in a row before one of the ducks takes out an third of the alley.

But to be able to shelf that mindset, even if only for the rehearsals it was nice.

That being said, artistic liberality is a thing.

To hell with angel going into the light peacefully, it ain't right for someone dying of a disease that can be treated.

If you wanted a show about romanticizing dying from a disease than you should go to the opera they tried to be with La bohème and tuberculosis.

No Jason is going to lasso his rage and put a pretty mask on it until he feels the need to put his own twist on a scene.

This girly was restless, so I grabbed her harness & did a quick session. Trying for the millionth time to get back to doing one churu length session every day. She was excited, stayed close to me, wagged her tail at every praise, and was sticking her head fully through the neck loop. 🥰

And afterwards I got bullied into training Addy Spring, Phoebe, and Ripley, so I was doing scratch board with the dogs. Emma followed me to the floor and joined Spring on her own, still eager to engage! She doesn't paw at the board yet, but she got close enough for her nails to just scrape on it twice.

you once mentioned that you never analyze bsd characters without considering the source material and the namesakes, and i've been looking at akutagawa's natal chart for 15 minutes because i wanted to write something about bsd!akutagawa, but i can't stop thinking about his moon in aries and how aries moon natives tend to describe their mother figures as chaotic, sometimes controlling, how they often have to pick up the pieces. and his dominant aspect being a square, a martian aspect—his life must have felt like an endless battlefield (with mercury—his mind—being affected the most). i have to agree, once you know at least a little about the namesake and their work, it feels not just unnecessary but also impossible to perceive bsd characters without considering what inspired them

Yes! There's so much intention in how Kafka Asagiri writes the influences into the characters, and once you start noticing them, the influences fit so neatly into the unspoken grooves of the characters. Which speaks to how well Asagiri knows his source material!

Also, I'm 🥺 over Akutagawa and how his mother's mental illness felt so intensely to him like something lurking within himself too (almost like... it felt like a beast... inside of him... that threatened to consume him...)
