(Non pirate translation and details: yeah so the pictures of ships the camera caught are actually just pirate ships who disguise themselves as cargo ship. Its a pretty standard practice for pirates historically and modern in this au. Also there's certain details of the ships that look abnormal to someone who doesn't know better, but these features and designs are used to hide weaponry and illegal/stolen cargo. Kwazii also noticed the strange locations, heatpaths, and traveling behaviours of these ships and it reminded him of... pirate tactic... Especially since the kinds of ships near the "oil rig" wouldn't make sense for an "oil rig". Not to mention the "oil rig" has warehouses, which is NOT normal... very very suspicious to the pirate eye, he was raised learning this stuff. And honestly he can actually kinda realize some of the purposes of the "hehe normal not pirate" tactics they're using)

Kwazii, makes a horrible realization: " It looks like they be getting ready for a long haul..." and then the details process once hes said some of it aloud... "Only place that'd make sense is...oh no- the BLACK MARKET!"

Kwazii, mumbling heartbroken and melancholy mostly to himself: " Id bet me last life AND me tail those cuttle fishies will meet a terrible fate-"

Kwazii, now determined as a pirate and an octonaut,proclaims with full gusto :

"OCTONAUTS WE MUST SAVE THE CUTTLE FISHIEEEES!!!"

Although Kwazii does have to admit albeit a bit sheepishly, " Although uh... I dunno if they be friendly enough t' not try n' send us t' Davy Jones Locker..."

Tweak interjects, "So..." she gestures pointing in a round circle, " Yer sayin them fellers are smugglers?"

Shellington turns back to the captain, starting a bit quietly, "As sad as it is," he admits, " It WOULD make sense captain!"

Barnacles: "Well,that is an excellent point Shellington-"

Shellingtons face brightens a bit, and cant help but to remark : "Owh! :3 , They might even still be okay!" Shellie quickly keeps going, a bit more excited "We- Why we could report the smugglers-"

Barnacles face falls as he avoids Shellingtons eyes: "Well ah-" *he turns to dashi almost as if silently asking for help to re explain the main barrier for any mission they want to do at the moment-*

Dashi,lightly grimacing and understanding: "Keptain, I- I dunno how to break it to you, but well,"

Inkling gasps softly, " Oh D e a r- You don't mean?"

Dashi sort of.. despondent and sort of strained in that calm way, ready to pull the bandaid on some unshared news: We can't reach out to anyone beyond the octopods radius...

Peso (on of the few that actually understood what kwazii was talking about, having listened to many of his info dumps/tales with full atttention), very validly and reasonably points out with a little tremble to his voice that, oh you know-: "K-kwazii- You uh- Did you say that they'd be willing to hurt us??"

I think the reason why yan Sunday appeals to me so much is because of how he reflects a sad desperation to be loved and for the world to be made right in some way. He’s learned not only from gopher wood but also from his own experiences how cruel the world can be, and although he loves his family I think he does so partially out of some sense of responsibility for what they’ve done for him, almost putting them on a godlike pedestal. He is the ultimate martyr that will make the world right, even if it means he is the sacrificial lamb.

So when he meets someone that’s kind to him for no reason it’s probably strange, receiving affection just because. This time he looks at them as if they are divine being, gracing such a sinner as himself with their love. But in return, this time he’ll succeed in protecting them like he wasn’t able to do for others in his life. he protects them from the world even if it means overruling their own choices.

Also I lowkey relate with him and feel like no matter what I can’t give back to the people I love the most lmao.

Sunday let’s form an unhealthy codependent relationship and live in the delusion of love formed out of desperation.

idk if any of this made sense I’m bad at conveying ideas but tldr: Sunday and unhealthy codependency mixed with a martyr complex appeals to me since I think it reflects some of the more unhealthy aspects of love that leads to obsessiveness and a lack of respect for one’s own autonomy.

I love yan!sunday for the exact reasons you've said so. He's probably utterly foreign to the concept of actually receiving unconditional love and kindness, and when reader actually does give him just that, he can't help but want more.

But, since it's yan! Sunday, he most likely isn't able to replicate that specific, ecstasy feeling when he gets it from you vs from anyone else (i mean, particularly because of his status, its even harder to find). Reader becomes his sole source of this love where he's able to see them on equal ground – not someone who needs his help and neither someone he needs help from. You aren't in debt to him, you don't need to pay him back, you don't want favors, you're just.. so sweet and kind to him. You actually want to understand him, you understand his ideals of what a world can and should be, you listen to him, and you don't treat him as though he's supposed to be sacrificed – you treat him as someone who needs to live, as someone who doesn't, or rather shouldn't, martyr themselves, you don't take his sacrifice as something that should have come by default.

can i request headcanons of any hxh characters your choice (preferably including illumi, chrollo, and/or feitan) with a crush on/unestablished relationship with a gender neutral reader who refuses to fully align themselves with anyone but has an incredibly OP ability that requires their blood or body (can shoot blood in like spikes, detach their limbs to chase down and drag back runners, use their blood and/or tears to heal wounds, can just regrow lost limbs including their head, ect.) that would make being on their bad side more trouble then it's worth

so every fight they kind of /have/ to get injured to use it. Plus their ability weirdly doesn't seem to use nen (chrollo can't copy it and gyo doesn't show anything, ect.)

the weird part was Illumi couldn't sense any of your aura at all

he just assumed you were a super advanced nen user and were able to still keep up hatsu really well while fighting

which led him to the conclusion that he should either A. run away or B. try and get you on his side

when you noticed him just standing there you turned to stare at him like come at me bitch

"So? Are you here to poke me with more needles like the others? It won't end very well." "Actually I was here for the guy in the lab coat, but it seems like you did the job for me."

But did you notice how that when he shows Fugaku his grades and they're all straight A+'s, and in the show we learn they are also graded on their ability to work with others, and in Naruto: the last we see Naruto Sasuke and Sakura sitting at the same table!? Using our heads and our amazing smarts we, together as a team can deduce this means that Sasuke actually worked with a group and worked so well with them that it was deemed an A+ (DESPITE THE FACT HE WAS REALLY ANTI-SOCIAL!? I COULD NEVER) So this means that at a table Sasuke worked with his future team very well despite the fact their personalitys clashed so much, Sakura a nervous wreck which is something Sasuke outwardly hates, and Naruto, a prankster who totally has ADHD and will not focus on anything, and Sasuke at the time was pretty compassionate despite being a little bratty!! They worked together!! (this could also be when Sakura developed a crush on Sasuke!! And Naruto on Sakura!!! Do you see!?? My Uchiha yapping agenda is so canon!!!) I went on a little bit of a rant there BUT we also see at the beginning of the manga that Sasuke actually scored pretty low on his ability to work with others!! He was trying to be more like his dead clan by being stoic and closed off!! He doesnt know they were secretly sensitive losers!! (Whenever they're alone with their partner they're immediately clingy and become the most touch starved people in existence and cling to eachother like if they let go they'll suffocate and die)

- Cardinal is either surprisingly docile or incredibly violent with criminals/rogues/villains. No in between

True! Though Cardinal doesn't actually deal with rouges as often (the bats are always quick to cover that front and they try not to cross work paths unless nessicary, aka why the riddler fight was so far "from the usual") They are the silent hand behind the scene, and the ocassional "ghost of christmas future" like with Arthur.

The most "docile" Cardinal is, is towards Catwoman where they will pop in on her mid robbery, just stare for a sec- and then dip. And the most agressive probably with Black Mask/Joker (which yall will see eventually :) ______________________

Disclaimer: This will contain spoilers (kind of) for Welcome to Hell 2 Part 1 and Welcome to Hell. You should probably go watch that. Its made by Erica Wester and its PRETTY cool.)

My Yaoi Entrepreneurs, I'll be blunt with you. I know we've ALL seen gay people, maybe in the streets, maybe at the park. You might even see one in your home now, so lets be honest with ourselves. Sock is DEFINITELY gay, bisexual at LEAST.

The OTHER one on the other hand.. its a little bit harder to say.. I'll probably find something though..

Lets make one thing clear, when I say Yaoi in this review. I don't mean ANYTHING inappropriate. Its just my special way of saying gay people.. I'm kinda magical in that sense.

Lets just get the first one done and over with a simple section I like to call:

EVIDENCE 1: SOCK IN GENERAL

okay so FIRST of all the FIRST time we see sock, they call Jonathan "hot stuff" while being in a fridge. I'm not sure about you but that's love if I ever saw it.

After that they introduce you to Sock killing his parents. One key point after another. If Sock being gay wasn't important, then WHY was it shown BEFORE telling us Sock's (other) main trait. Checkmate liberals.

Sock would then get the report from Mephistopheles, and you COULD say its just because the camera zoomed in, but its literally the most light ever seen in Sock's eyes.

And then Sock went on to ruin Jonathan's day, making him look crazy, and Jonathan SOMEHOW got blamed for knocking down that desk, I swear I think the teachers just hate him. I'm not sure about you but I certainly cant KNOCK over a desk thats right next to me.

He was WRITING too.. would a guilty man of desk flipping WRITE?? NO!!

And not to mention that Sock made Jonathan look DUMB in front of the faceless brothers which was probably the closest time that Sock did their job right.

Sock absolutely ruined it today.. but can you blame them? They're new to the job, give them some SLACK.

But the upcoming days, Sock was so whimsical.

Yeah SURE. Sock is still telling Jonathan to kill himself, but they just don't want to get fired!!

Not to mention the fact that they stared at Jonathan while they were taking a piss, but there's nothing odd about that.

And also near the end, Mephistopheles calls sock out on liking the guy, and Sock stutters. You just have to take my word for it.

SOCK IN GENERAL 2 [PART 1]

If you saw Welcome to Hell 2 [Part 1], you already know what I'm gonna comment about. Sock went on to call Jonathan's mother, hot. They then went on to say "Must be where you got it from, huh? You definitely got her butt at least."

When Jonathan goes on a walk and Sock follows them and says after Jonathan says he doesn't wanna be friends with them. (We'll get back to that)

"Oh wow, come to think of it, You don't really have ANYONE do YOU? What's that feel like? Knowing you're gonna die alone." to which Jonathan snaps back with "I dunno Sock, you tell me."

Now at first, this looks like a scene of ANTI SOCKATHAN propaganda, but think with me here, yaoiers. How would Jonathan know that Sock died alone??

I understand if he just guessed, since sock DOES look like someone who would die alone, or he just said whatever comeback that came to his head but if not, Sock ALREADY told Jonathan about their past life.

If what I KNOW is true, Sock VENTED to Jonathan about their life before they died in LESS than a week, since Sock just now sees Jonathan's mother in the first part, and due to a comment made by the creator.

Sock REALLY trusts this guy, maybe Mephistopheles didn't want to hear them vent, but maybe its JUST because Sock wanted Jonathan to do the same. but they probably didn't.

And then near the end, Sock says to Jonathan when he snatched his employee manual

"Jonathan, if something happens to you-"

Actually, I think this is pretty weak evidence but I thought I'd include it, since a teacher would say the same thing if a kindergartener was up on a high shelf.

That segment was PRETTY lengthy, but I PROMISE you, the others will be shorter, I just.. didn't expect there to be so much for Sock...

EVIDENCE 2: SOCK SUCKS AT THEIR JOB.

Jonathan was DEAD ON when they told Sock that they suck at their job. And quite honestly.. I could've done it better.. I could've got Jonathan to kill himself (theoretically) on the FIRST day, and if you wouldn't use my strategy, I promise you that there's probably several other you could use for the teenager that you want them to kill themselves at home.

STEP 1: GRAB A WEAPON

Since Sock is seen to be able to flip over a desk and they're able to HOLD Jonathan's journal (Shock or not), I should THEORITCALLY be able to grab a weapon, now for this strategy, I suggest you pick a nonlethal option, only to have a lethal option around, for this example, I will be using a sledgehammer.

After swinging that at the noggin, Jonathan would drop unconscious, probably with brain damage (that don't matter though)

STEP 2: POSSESS THE TEENAGER

Now it MAY not be like this in w2h, but Mephistopheles was able to possess Jonathan when he was DEAD (Probably), so It should hopefully work when they're out of consciousness.

STEP 3: KILL YOURSELF.

Alright now I KNOW that sounds bad.. but it wouldn't be MY hands to kill him. Grab the nearby lethal and SHOOT. THAT. TEENAGER!! Your boss may not agree with the logistics of this, but you get the job done.

This simulation was to PROVE that Sock atleast CARES a bit about Jonathan to want to get to know him. and to not kill him on the spot. Now if It was the other way around.. I'm not exactly sure..

EVIDENCE 3: JONATHAN KINDA HATES SOCK

(he looks like hes standing up to a school bully)

At the beginning of Welcome to Hell, hes clearly annoyed and STILL is annoyed by some of Sock's actions by the end, but he atleast isn't mad enough to NOT act like he could put up with Sock. I think the closest thing to gayness from Jonathan was when he moved the backpack for Sock to sit down.

In Welcome to Hell 2, he IS PISSED at this guy, and honestly, if Sock kept on knocking down those desks, i CANT blame him..

Maybe Sock kinda ruined the vibe when they expressed their love for Jonathan's mother, its hard to say really..

Jonathan makes this very clear that he DOESN'T even wanna be Sock's friend, I mean HAVE YOU HEARD THE THEME SONG?

SUMMARY:

Sock wasn't able to win Jonathan's heart, making him tonight's biggest loser.

So like, I have a personal HC that Dick and Jason bonded over Lady Gaga, they'd spend nights dancing to her music. After Jason died Dick kind of always cried listening to her, so it became something he had a big place in his heart, crying at almost every song of her.

And given a recent show of her [Copacabana, Br] I think it would be pretty funny or cute if Jason was like "You know what, fuck it." And sent Dick a "threat" message telling him to go alone to Brasil telling he had some information of smth that would happen in the show and he HAD to be there cuz it involved someone he was looking for or wtvr and when Dick got there Jason is just waiting for him with two hot dogs and clothes to wear to the show, he doesnt say anything other than the songs lyrics [Dick cant get a grasp of him after that day too]

Jason is definitely as off the grid as possible. Always. Like if you even want to think about contacting him, you either have to ask Oracle or ask Roy. It used to be because of his many grudges and spite, but now it's more because he likes to remain mysterious. He and Cass have this in common. They'll both just disappear for weeks on end without leaving so much as a note. The bats never know where they are. They don't know when they'll come back. One time, Jason and Cass run into each other while in Arizona, and they go see the Grand Canyon together. They part without a word.

So when Dick received a message from Jason for the first time in forever, he didn't even think twice before accepting. And if Jason was willingly trying to help him and share info? He's not one to turn this stuff down.

He doesn't even take a second glance at the portion of the text that says to show up in casual, but fashionable clothes. He easily finds Jason, ignoring the venue he seems to be standing near. He's wearing Gaga merch and holding.. hotdogs?

Jason just shoves a hotdog at him and drags him closer to the stage. Dick doesn't say anything. Partially because he's confused, but he also wants to see how this plays out. He flips when Lady Gaga walks onto the stage.

They sing their hearts out the whole night.

Shallow starts up and Dick might've cried. He's not too sure. His soul left his body as soon as he saw Gaga.

They take videos and selfies throughout the show, still not saying a word to each other. One of the pictures is set as Dick's wallpaper. Jason has a similar one, though he'll never admit it.

The show ends and Jason flashes an awkward smile his way before leaving.

They never talk about it. Dick doesn't say where he went or what happened, when Bruce ends up asking. He's letting himself have this moment. He frames one of their pictures and sets it on his nightstand in his apartment.

Jason goes off the grid again for a while, but Roy lets it slip that he's caught him watching back some of the videos he took during the show.

After that night, Dick feels complete. Like a part of him healed, the part that started to make it's appearance when Jason had died. He finally feels whole again after all this time.

They all kind of adopt an older sibling relationship. Particularly Angel Dust. Between the three Angel and Charlie seem the most hung up on you being stuck in hell despite seeming like a genuinely good person. They show it in different ways, though. Charlie is more open and honest on her believing it's not fair, and it emboldens her to try to change heavens mind. Angel on the other hand is more.. subtle in expressing his.. displeasure.. but hes more.. hmm..

Charlie is working hard to try to either redeem you or get heaven to change their mind, and angel is just trying to show you how things work down in hell. What to do and what not to do, things like that. Giving you a guide, more or less. All of his sexualized comments stop, really the only time they "crop back up" is if you ever happen to mention having a crush on someone.. though it's more innocent teasing. Like how people go "oh..?? You have a friend of the gender you're attracted to?? Are you sure you aren't dating??", stuff like that if that makes sense. Very protective of you, too...

Vaggie is also protective of you. Shes angry too, but her feelings are internalized unless this is after her past of being an angel is revealed. She doesn't want you to have any part in defending the hotel when the extermination comes.. she doesn't think you cant fight she just cant handle the idea of letting someone so young get hurt under her watch. Does teach you self defense so you can put up a fight if something were to happen. Sees you as the "good trustworthy kid".. especially during group exercises because you dont cause any problems or cause friction

As mentioned Charlie starts working overtime to make things right, emboldened by the mere fact that someone like you was sent to hell. Sometimes you feel that shes putting a lot of pressure for you to be redeemed.. shes going to feel so terrible if you let her know how that's making you feel. That kind of pressure can ruin someone, especially if you were already doing everything you could. Charlie is so so apologetic

one sentence summary: kind of childhood best friends to lovers second chance modern au zolu but oh boy do zoro's feelings make it complicated. lots of hurt comfort :)

zoro and luffy were raised in the same town, but it wasnt until around high school before they became friends. luffy was always just one of those people zoro knew because, well, luffy was an enigma, a spectacle, a rascal anywhere he went. the grape vine was zoro's only source of information on the kid who was simultaneously the bane and pride of the town. but upon their first encounter, zoro immediately understood why everyone loved him, how he just drew people in. luckily, luffy seemed just as intrigued by zoro, so somehow they became cohorts. zoro feels nothing short of fascination for luffy, who continues to attract more and more friends as the time goes on. he pins the magnetic feelings on luffy's idiotic lack of charm charm, though it doesnt take long for zoro to realize that he's a little in love. but this love is complicated, or really just difficult for perptually emotionally constipated zoro to handle, in that it is so all consuming. as the his crush intensifies, so does his utter devotion. the ease in which zoro could just give his heart to another man like this scares him. zoro is so prepared to give up his everything for luffy, and yet other bitter feelings sabotage him. perhaps it's because zoro's never felt anything this intense before or because he's always been a little shy, but a possessiveness over luffy starts to take over. he knows he's already devoted himself to luffy, already placed that ever beating heart into luffy's hands, but a horrid feeling twists his gut whenever he feels like luffy doesn't feel the same. that is to say, luffy belongs to everyone; he could never be zoro's alone. although zoro could never doubt the love they have for each other, that is something so raw and real and irreplacable whether platonic or romantic, doubt festers anyways. because luffy always needs more love, more attention than zoro could ever give him. he never feels like the things he does to prove that he is solely luffy's is enough to make him zoro's. luffy needs so much more than zoro. luffy needs to go out into the world and receive love from all those people, and zoro knows for certain that luffy deserves that. he knows, yet here he is constantly waiting for luffy to come home, writhing in his feelings of inadequacy. (A/N: i forgot to mention luffy is like a taekwondo olympian so he travels a lot in this fic lol). even now after they've made it official that they're dating and confirmed that their feelings mutually go beyond friendship, zoro can't help but feel even more distant for luffy. just because he slapped on the label of boyfriend, that doesnt make luffy any more his than he was before, that terrible feeling of a loneliness that shouldnt belong is everywhere. ultimately, ofc, it all blows up bc zoro doesnt know how to properly communicate things he cant even understand himself and tells luffy that he's hard to love bc he needs so much of that love and zoro feels shitty bc he cant provide it all. luffy turns it back on him, "aren't you the one who needs more? i cant give you what you want from me either, zoro." that exclusivity, even though for luffy, zoro was always different from everyone and anyone else he'd ever meet. zoro just couldn't understand that; the only thing he couldn't understand about luffy. of course luffy wants it all, that's just how he is. the fight between them is horrible because luffy had also sensed it. zoro didn't have enough trust in luffy's feelings towards him and luffy trusted zoro too much. as in luffy, despite the underlying tensions he felt, trusted that zoro would eventually tell him what was wrong regardless of what it was. except that luffy would've never anticipated it was about their love for each other, something he thought was so certain and constant, and that this conflict would be so bad. they havent broken up, but they dont see each other for a week just to reflect after the fight.

it's at this point that it's clear that it isnt going to work out because they have their own goals and problems cut out for them that they cant handle then, and peacefully, still with so much love for each other, at ages 21 and 19, they mutually break up.

five years later, they meet again when luffy returns home for the first time in a while since he's been travelling the world. more feelings and emotions reignite when they encounter each other, but this time zoro's determined to make it better. he's more emotionally mature now, wiser than the kid who couldnt get a read on his own feelings and desires. this time, he can make it right.

so yah that's the bare BARE skeleton of this fic it's so long lmaoo if anyone actually reads this, lmk what you think!! i need motivation to write this it's just a chock-full of chrc (zoro) introspection and again bc im kind of projecting and ik this is kinda? ooc for zoro :,) basically zolu if zoro was the most anxiety ridden teenager/ya ever haha;; in my head, it's also supposed to be like a nonlinear narrative going between the modern time, oh zoro does do kendo and yes all the other strawhats appear, and the past bc idk yeah! have a nice day :D

(also take this as a better redesign compared to the old one,, i feel like my style for ayano is very inconsistent but what i have now is more her ykwim?? that doesnt mean i dont like to put her in pretty clothing though. she deserves it and i like making her wear stuff shown here and here,, you can see the difference in art style but nevertheless its still ayano)

i think ayano would be relatively the same. she still starts off as practically emotionless girl barely feeling anything but the complex secondary emotions on a small scale (bitterness for example). in this she's also autistic and has OLD. (bear with me bear with me). (i also like "aishi condition" aspect i wont lie because of the supernatural undertones of being cursed is actually cool but in this it's more like an add-on than anything) like in her lore video her childhood was not the best and she felt nothing. she didn't feel guilt, she didnt feel as if she were real and she felt as if she were an abomination throughout her childhood because there was something 'wrong' with her. in this rewrite concept, the doctors werent specialized in dealing with OLD (because its not medically recognized as a problem) or autism (afabs are typically masking and are often cast aside when looking for diagnosis because majority of researchers use amabs symptoms specifically instead of looking at the whole spectrum) because of this she was bullied and seen as "not normal" by her peers. (people find her off-putting still in akademi because they arent able to read her face since she's masking like all the time unless she's with taro) in this i imagine that ryoba claims its a condition that majority of the women in their family faces (they just arent diagnosed) and that she will find something that will help "complete" ayano in the future. and so not only does she have trouble unmasking, she still feels as if something (someone) is missing within her life. this is what she thinks because it was what ryoba also went through. that "something" is eventually found out to be taro.

upon bumping into him and her being faced with kindness it made ayano fall in love with taro. because she's never felt this way about anyone before,, she feels extremely overwhelmed being near him and gets extremely nervous and whatnot. (sometimes if she gets too close her emotions are actually SO overwhelming and everything is happening so fast that she verges on a mental breakdown) essentially being around taro makes ayano feel like she isnt hiding behind a mask that she cant drop AND makes her feel like a normal person (for the most part anyway, she still is easily overwhelmed.) unfortunately, due to OLD she's faced with some intrusive thoughts and feeling of possessiveness especially around other people that like taro because she feels like her only source of being normal will be ripped away from her.

i think that ayano in this concept would be angry towards the rivals, yes, but not enough to genuinely commit murder. (barely anyway. intrusive thoughts are very strong and its hard sometimes to fight the urge to give in) sometimes she would have the weapon, poison etc etc in her hand but when she's near her target an overwhelming sense of disgust washes over herself. ayano rationalizes it by talking to herself that "taro would be upset and would probably reject me if i killed her" or "taro might come in here and-" basically she uses taro as her pillar of support even if its her own feelings that make her disgusted in herself.

that doesn't mean she's not weirdly possessive over taro. she borders on basically stalking him because being near his presence is enough to make her day better (as i said before- the masking is easier to go away because taro's presence is calming)

on another another note, ayano is bisexual and asexual here,, if taro were taeko she'd still be the same way. she doesn't want to have children because in her mind she doesn't see a point to it. she thinks that her child has a high possibility of coming out like her and thats a thought she wants to entertain. plus sex is so whatever.

notes:

ayano is 5'7,, both jokichi (6'0) and ryoba (5'8) have taller genes on both sides of their family compared to the avg height.

ayano's favorite color is pink and gray. pink because that color stands out more when she's with taro, and gray because its taro's favorite color

while she doesn't actively kill people she's still not on the morally just side of things. in this concept one of the worst things was kidnap musume for ransom in order to indebt kokona to her or drugging a couple people (#girlthings)

she has above average grades but she isnt an insane genius prodigy like kaga or whatever.

she is (unwillingly) in the student handbook for a uniform guide (you would think it would be the student council but they have a totally different uniform so)

she still killed that cat like in the lore video

A while ago i had this really cute au idea where Stan and Patty are going through their usual fertility issues and can't adopt at all due to stan's previous suicide attempts. Then at the same time Richie makes a huge mistake in getting hammered and plowing the first girl he met at a bar and he gets her pregnant. After the baby is born she just leaves it with him cause she doesn't want it, but Richie doesn't have the heart to give it away to the system, but he also can't sacrifice his career for a kid- even tho richies a good person he is a little too selfish and immature for that. He confides in Stan about this sense he's logical and will keep the issue private, but what he didn't except was what Stan was going to offer him in response.

Stan just yoinks the baby and takes him home to Patty with Richie's permission, and he let's her hold him and decide what they should do now. It's Richie's but he doesn't want it and neither does the mother. If it doesn't have a home then it'll grow up in the system. They can't exactly adopt it "legally" but if they just take the baby in and raise it and tell people it's there's... would that really harm anyone? Patty is in love with this baby the moment she gets her hands on it, she cuddles it and makes it laugh before Stan even makes his offer. Stan apologizes to Patty for getting in the way of giving her a baby, because of him they cant have bio kids or adopt and now they'll be taking care of this kid even though he "isnt really theirs". Patty answers back with a very simple "that's okay, he will be soon enough.".

This kid grows up under the impression that Patty and Stan are it's bio parents, and for what its worth they are pretty good at keeping it secret. As far as anyone can tell this kid is just the Uris's miracle baby, and Patty just had a freak incident of "i didn't know i was pregnant". Richie drops by the Uris residence frequently to see how they're doing and check on the kid, even tho he doesn't wanna be a dad at all he doesn't wanna be a dead beat even more, so he tries to be involved "uncle Richie". As th kid grows up he starts to look more and more like Richie though, to the point the resemblance is uncanny despite most people not noticing it. He is the spittin image of richie, which is funny because this kid thinks Richie is a bum who always crashes at their house for no reason. He doesn't think he's funny or clever and honestly doesn't understand why his parents like him so much. From his perspective it seems like Richie abuses his parents kindness to crash on their sofa a lot. Of stan and patty can never tell him that thee visits are supposed to be bonding time between him and his bio dad lol.

Their resemblance goes beyond genetics tho and extends to habits and quirks too, they have the same weird taste in food and eat cereal in the same rythmn and posture. It's super weird, and because this kid is raised by stanley uris he dresses and acts like him too, so he comes off as a weird mix between rich and stan. At one point patty's mother comes to visit and is like "patricia... be honest with me... did you have an affair with c list comedian richie tozier behind stans back?" And patty was so apalled. Their kid is slowly becoming more aware though, he knows he looks nothing like either of his parents and he doesn't understand why. They insist he isn't adopted but he doesn't look like them. When he asks uncle richie why they look alike he juat brushes it off as "you're just lucky i guess". He asks his parents why is nose is bigger than either of them and they're just like "ohhh those ethnic jewish features will sneak up on ya!". With that being said though everytime their child does exhibit a trait of either stan or patty they both jump for joy. He likes to do puzzles and math like stan but watcg family feud and sew like patty. They really do love this kid. Patty especially, she got soooo clingy in the first few months. Richie used to joke he was going to steal the baby away from stan, but stan had to tell him to knock it off lest patty think he was serious and kill him.

Richie gets drunk again another night and accidentally spills the truth to eddie, who is horrified and urges richie to tell the boy the truth but richie doesn't see point. I mean yeah, he could tell him, but why? Stanley taught that kid how to ride his bike, tie his shoes, brush his teeth, richie is basically just a sperm donor. Stanley is that boys father biology be damned, and patty has never even considered the idea that the boy isn't theirs. Really revealing the truth would just fuel richies ego and mix the kid up. Some secrets are best kept secret, espcially when blowing it could mean the kid being taken out of stan and pattys care. I do think he figures it out eventually, cause naturally a kid raised by stan would be smart enough to come to the only logical conclusion. He wouldn't care though i think, probably just be a little confused. I bet he probably whines that uncle ben or uncle bill couldn't be his real father though. Dude is NOT impressed he's actually related to Richie Tozier.

music. music being his ONLY passion in love apparently.. which means EVERYTHING to him. he just casually drops that at one point and refused to elaborate. the only thing that helped him push through. that helped him escape the pain he's forced in. bc it's clear his familie:s neglect hurts him way more than be lets on.

his friends. although he is fine with being alone, actively sometimes decides to be alone (staying in the Music club room after school, choosing to walk to home instead of taking up the offer from the others to drive him there)(tho both of those can be explained by his family issues) , he cares abt his friends a lot, all the small things they do for him. and dare I say has no idea how to respond to just. Kindness. Ppl making small sacrifices on their part to love him. like when jake told him he could have his laptop (GAH THIS IS WHY I HATE GEBDERED PRONOUNS U CANT TELL WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY). and then he literally cried. well he didn't burst into tears but he showed sm emotions like. idk u can kinda tell he isn't shown kindness like that too often ??? IDK WGAT IM KN ABT. But j feel like he's not used to others going out of their way for him. like again it all tracks back to his parents and how they barely pay attention to him.

but itd only make sense for him to care sssssoo much for the people in his life. some of the genuine connections he has that he can't have back home. RosyClozy also said he has friends outside the club APPARENTLY which I NEED TO SEE. I NEED YO SEE SO NADLY. I want to know them. How much do they matter to him ?? PLS PLS PLS ROSY. PLS. bc I've always seen him as somewhat more reserved? wait let me elaborate.

like. Again it seems hes ok with being alone. though this might be because he's USED to being alone or his emotions not getting enough attention from his parents . he doesn't seem like he'd open up about his emotions all that much . like the way he doesn't rly smile when he's by himself or when his smile drops when he says goodbye to Milly and she can't see him anymore in ep 7 - sort of as if his smile is a bit of a mask, a facade even . again like I've said earlier I think it's bc he's used to his emotional state not being paid attention to much as a child (that is assuming his parents have been fighting for that long.) So I don't think he's SUPER open abt his emotions. but does open up on occasion when he's empathizing with someone like when daisy was struggling w her family issues. Letting others know they're not alone, and he understands what they're going through. something his parents might not do for each other that often ?? but he's so understanding. and patient. and gah.

and ep9-10. I understand the whole club was sad and upset bc Jake said a bunch of shit behind their backs. so sean also being upset isn't that special or worth noting. I DISAGREE ACTUALLY. all the choosing between sides Jake has to do, the pressure Jake feels between two (groups of) people he carries about, what if Sean could relate to that aspect in any way? did he ever feel pressured to choose between his parents sides of the argument? not just that. but the mere aspect of Jake betraying them, and Sean knowing they'll have to separate. they have to leave him, because he's hurt them all. but HE was the one to confide in daisy and tell her Abt everything that went down. bc I think he couldn't let Jake go. why? Again so sry to keep mentioning this but I think it tracks back to his parents. maybe despite his parents making his life a pain, having to indulge in escapism constantly in order to experience joy, and them consistently not noticing him to a worrying degree, him directly saying he has family issues, maybe be still cares about them deep down. daisy told him he's lucky, bc Soon he'll be able to escape from it all (soon being a year.) he won't have to deal with his family any longer. I don't remember how he reacts to that but I feel like that's what DAISY wants, SHE would want to immediately distance herself from her moms and all the pressure they put on her ASAP, maybe Sean doesn't? maybe Sean is scared of them separating from each other? Also they need to probably. Gah idk what I'm saying anymore.

maybe be wants things to work out, even if they seem like they couldn't or even shouldn't. when jake betrayed them all, he still wanted SOMETHING to be done about it, even if he didn't directly confront Jake himself. he wasn't ready tu fully let go. bc he might have an anxious idea of love or connection .?? itd make sense for someone with parents who argue w each other a lot. like, idk. Idk idk idk. he doesn't want to let go of Jake, which could perhaps translate into some other feelings - not wanting his parents to let go of each other. and also, in s2, there might be an arc of him being a bit scared of being emotionally separated from daisy ???? bc she'll start going to detention - therefore she won't be able to hang out with him every day after school. not to mention how much more arguments she'll have with her parents over her head girl title... who knows how that'll change things. GAH idk. Sidenote but I hope they don't do a stupid love triangle between Jake and daisy and him in s2. I mean, seeing as Jake directly confronted himabt it in ep11, it seems like it isn't going to be the case, which is cool 👍 (I don't hate love triangles in general but I just don't think it'd support Sean's or daisy's characters that much. MAYBE it'd be a decent arc for Jake, MAUBE.)

Um . I got distracted. But the point is, he cares about so many things sm.

all the while his parents don't care Abt him wgatsoevr. or don't show him enough love. Because they're so focused on the hate for each other . despite that, Sean cares about the little things in his life he's connected to due to his emotions and self being largely Ignored by his family. I'm not sure if he could live without these things kn his life. Though idk I haven't watched tmf in over a year LOL

oh yeah another question abt intellectual disability: what do people with moderate id speak like? i assume they wouldnt be perfectly articulate but i know making them talk like cavemen would be bad too. i do want it to be clear that they have language difficulties, but im not sure how to do that realistically. so what kinds of grammar errors are actually common? would it make sense to have them mix up words with similar pronunciation, or have difficulty discerning the differences in implications between words with similar meanings (like "pretty" vs "attractive")? do people with id ever 'imagine context' the way people(well, me) do when half-asleep where the brain mishears a statement as something completely unrelated? would spatial and situational awareness be impaired? also this is kind of a different question but if you can give advice on what to do with game mechanics for an id character in an rpg, that would be nice! i already have the stats figured out for every character and theres no stat that i think would be strongly affected by id but in terms of depicted fighting style and other mechanics maybe thered be some stuff informed by it (i cant do anything too complex though, im using rpg maker vx ace). idk! im spitballing here. main thing i need to know is how to write dialogue for a character with id ^_^

Hey, we have a post somewhat about this that you might find useful, I'll try to go over the other questions below.

Keep in mind my ID is mild (and on the milder side of that) so my answer will be all second-hand knowledge from talking to people with moderate ID in my SPED years.

A lot of it will depend on what condition causes they have. People with Williams syndrome have very “normal” verbal skills majority of the time, and you can't really tell in my experience. On the other hand if they're autistic you can potentially guess from the tone of the voice e.g. they speak in a very loud and monotone way. People with Down syndrome are very likely to have a speech disorder, someone with cerebral palsy might slur their words, etc.

A lot of people with ID might be less talkative than your average person (there's definitely exceptions). So your character could use shorter sentences, simple sentences (in the grammar sense), prefer to use other forms of communication for things that don't require speech (e.g., nodding instead of saying “Yes, I agree”, or doing a thumbs up, etc.), or have to be prompted to actually answer/take part in the conversation.

I personally don't recall ever hearing the “mixing words with similar pronunciation” in someone's actual speech, maybe unless they learned the language from reading rather than hearing it. If that's the case, then ID could affect their speech more than if they didn't have it, otherwise I'd assume that the character might have brain damage or is maybe hard of hearing and simply mixes them up because they can't recognize/hear the difference between them.

Mixing words based on specific meaning makes much more sense in my opinion (probably because I do that myself). Synonyms or words that might make sense in one context but not the other are the worst. Your example here is great. When someone has ID they might take away the wrong meaning out of a word and use it incorrectly because of that. E.g., their parents used to take them camping to a forest with lots of bugs, they don't like bugs, they can later call something “foresty” to mean “with lots of bugs” even if it doesn't have much to do with an actual forest. This might make more sense for a character with more severe ID (or if they're just young) but using “attractive” when you'd normally say “pretty” makes sense for someone with moderate ID in my opinion.

Something that can also affect speech of someone with ID is word repetition. Not really in the echolalia sense (though it can be that too) but just using stock phrases that get repetitive over time. I try to edit it out from my posts, but you can still kinda see it. For some people it will be ending most sentences with the same word, for someone else it will be starting two paragraphs with the same three words without realizing even though they're right next to each other or overusing “maybe” and “if” to start sentences.

As for the “imagining context” while mishearing something, I'm not sure if I know what you mean by it, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I don't do it.

Situational awareness is definitely impacted for all people with ID but to different degrees. I don't know if it's part of the diagnostic criteria, but it might as well be. When the person's ID is mild it might look like someone who's just kinda unaware of what goes around them, maybe don't recognize that they're doing something that could end up badly. The more severe the intellectual disability the more obvious it is, the person might elope (wander off) and not be able to find their way back, not be able to use cooking utensils safely because they don't recognize the risks in real time (not really in the “not realizing that the knife is sharp” way if they have moderate ID, more like “not realizing that you need to be careful when putting things on hot oil, or you can get burned”), assuming that people are automatically safe to be around, things like that.

Spatial awareness doesn't affect everyone, but one of the biggest comorbidities of ID is dyspraxia, which does affect it a lot. There are people with mild ID with severe dyspraxia, and severely ID people with no dyspraxia. It varies.

Unfortunately I have never played any RPGS, and I'm not really familiar with the mechanics. Here's an old ask about intellectually disabled characters engaged in combat, hopefully it's useful?

If you want some real-life resources for hearing how intellectually disabled people talk, I really recommend this playlist. It's a bunch of interviews with people with Down syndrome and you can see that they're all very different from each other despite having the same disability.
