Headcannons below the cut!

Somewhat of a strict dad- not like one of those dickish ones who like don't let you online and stuff but more of like bedtimes and stuff.

Makes you cool stuff for your birthday and for like Christmas gifts. You'll most definitely get the coolest gifts that you can flex to your classmates.

Need a cool dad for an event? Well, lucky for you- you have one! He'll play into his "evil scientist" vibes if you bring him to like one of those fathers day events at school (Especially if you're in like- elementary).

If you have an interest in redstone he will be so enthusiastic and he will teach you everything he knows. He'll probably also just try and teach you redstone even if you're not too interested in it.

Will absolutely support you in your interests- even if he doesn't fully understand them.

Goes without saying but supportive of your sexuality and gender ofc- no questions there.

You know the saying "Mess with the goat and get the horns"? Yeah- if he finds out that someone so much as tried hurting you he will do some things to make sure that it never happens again- you're really safe with him as your dad.

Once you're old enough he'll make you some wings so you can fly around- though he'll make sure that you understand how to be safe before giving them to you.

If you're a bit on the younger side and you play pretend with him he will be forced to comply and play whatever role you give him- a power that must be used responsibly.

Random headcannon (+ other things) dump!

I have many more but this has been sitting in my drafts too long, I’ll have to make more for when those finally decide to come back to me

-The void technically doesn’t have atoms in it right? So it doesn’t have temperature? Voidwalkers can’t feel temperature.

-The Hermits all have callouses on their hands, just because of how much they all work with them

-Cleo and Doc are so strong they feel like they could crush you and not give a second thought, but they (especially cleo) are so gentle, their hugs feel very safe (gentle giants pretty much)

-I don’t ever see it, but being an admin connecting that admin to the server. Adding to that, admins having powerful magic and giving off a feeling of power around them (Xisuma’s armour muffles that feeling, it’s very ignorable)

-Also, semi-intelligent servers? I don’t know why but I find that one so fun

*deep breath* -The watchers destroyed season one. It’s the reason why they have seasons now, and also it’s why so many of the hermits from season 1 are gone, because they were taken or fell to the watchers over the years. Generik was taken by the watchers in this attack, which is why X is the admin now. The only reason the watchers haven’t been able to get to any seasons other than hermitcraft is because X is the admin, as a voidwalker, and someone with previous encounters with the watchers, the servers are much easier to hide under his guidance.

-Some of the hermits love gathering little things that symbolize each of their friends

-Vampire Mumbo being so thirsty that he can’t control himself and accidentally hurts his friends. Amazing trope.

-Martyn is an honorary Hermit. He pops by from time to time to say hi

-Shapeshifter Etho, but his favorite form is an arctic fox hybrid. It’s especially funny when the other Hermits don’t know, so he can score them with various shenanigans

-One time Cub tried to map out all of the relationships between the hermits, empires, and life series members. He failed horribly.

-Stress is part fae, meaning that she is incredibly intimidating when everyone first meets her, especially when she asks someone their name.

-Scar has a few of Grian’s feathers, and he prides himself on having one of each color from his plumage and typically puts at least one in his ponytail a day, because they look really pretty

-Voidwalkers can somewhat change their form over time, but can always shift between those forms and that’s why Xisuma can look so human like but when he gets really unhealthy he can’t stay human-like anymore

Theories and Headcannons Pt. 22

So new week, new theory about Doc's new poker game and the hermits decided to be used as the monarchs and joker for each type of deck. Innovated from the French-suited playing cards, Doc's poker deck has four suits, diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades, and each suiting having three court cards, King, Queen and Jack. This results in only twelve available spaces considering one hermit takes one court card each and leaves fifteen hermits unable to be represented by the cards. Nethertheless even with the limited representation of the hermits, each cards has its depth and lore.

Starting with the suit of diamond, has Doc representing its King, Gem representing its Queen and Scar representing its Jack. As diamonds is represented as a valuable material considering its bartering and trading value in Hermitcraft, being the main currency for shops, it's reasonable that Doc would be the face of Kings of Diamonds. Gem's reasoning is also obvious due to her talent considering both PVP and her building skills. Finally Scar, being the Jack of Diamonds is poetic due to his bartering (scamming) skills built from his charisma to trade for "diamond" tiered items with common items.

The court of Hearts is a different story considering its representatives are Rendog for the King, Falsesymmetry for the Queen and Bdubs as its Jack. With the symbol of Hearts often depicted as red and hearts in general epitomising the living flesh of a person, Ren as the King is perfect. As RentheKing in Hermitcraft Season Nine and the Red King back in Third Life, Ren deserves the position of King of Hearts. Second to the King of Hearts, is Falsesymmetry, the winner of Season's 10 demise. With hearts also depicting the life and soul of a person, it's also fitting for the winner to recieve the mantle of Queen of Hearts. The final court of Jacks is Bdubs, who in Season Nine of Hermitcraft was the assistant or right-hand man to RentheKing. Resulting in his title of the rank below the King, Jacks of Hearts.

With the court of Spades, majority of its court was already explained by Doc in his previous Hermitcraft 10 episode, (29) with the Jack of Spades being Mumbo, a spoon, Etho being definitively cool and the suit of Spades being objectively cool (in Doc's perspective), and Pearl fitting the role of Queen of Spades. But the reasonings run deeper than this besides Mumbo's spoon reasoning. Take Pearl, the Queen of Spades. Back in Season Nine, she was the Cleaning Lady, taking on jobs of cleaning chestmonsters and other messes with a price. Spades is often linked with the concept of cleaning so it was natural to pick Pearl. The final court card, Kings of Spades, is given to Etho and rightfully so because of his connections to Shade-E-E. Originally Shade-E-E was a "subscription service" and later evolved to a "gardening service" which entailed him using dirt and other blocks to create pixel artworks for the other hermits in saeson seven. And what else is connected to dirt, spades, hence the King of Spades being Ethoslab.

The final suit, Clubs, consist of King of Clubs being Xisumavoid, Queen of Clubs being ZombieCleo and Jack of Clubs being Grian. Although the listed hermits' connections to the suit of Clubs may be vague, there is a connection hidden between the layers of history the deck of cards retains. With majority depictions of a deck of cards using French-suited playing cards, other versions of the standard 52-card deck is found throughout multiple continents with German depications of the Club being an acorn. Acorns also being a symbol of strength and resilience, a trait Xisuma has constantly demonstrated throughout the decade Hermitcraft has been running. Cleo's connections of the suit of Clubs includes her role as an enforcing monarchy, the Queen, with a royal baton otherwise known as a sceptre being a symbol of royalty. Finally, Grian's relation to the Club are the multiple depictions of the suit of Clubs being of a plant. Plants and weeds like the clover and acorns are all edible to a range of bird species, both domestic and wild and with the fandom's collective decision to represent Grian has a human with avian features, it's his connections to birds that create his relationship with the Jack of Clubs.

These twelve court cards all with their representative hermits all have depth and lore leading their portrayal as the monarchs and Jacks of each suit.

The Hermitcraft ‘medic’

Now not all servers have medics, most private large servers do (such as Ponk on Dsmp). The medics role is to either give someone a quick death and painless if they have infinite respawn and it’d be easier to heal from the respawn than the injury. But if infinite respawn isn’t an option (once again like the dsmp) they heal people to the best of their ability. They all swear an oath to keep players away from perma-death no matter who they are. The largest servers have actual hospitals (such as hypixel).

So on Hermitcraft who’s the medic? I’m so glad you asked! I have a handful of possible headcanons.

1. Doc. I cannot stress this enough but this man is not a medical doctor. He can make stellar prothstetics but he can’t tell lungs from hearts no matter how much he tries to convince us with Doctor literally being in his name. do not let him near your broken arm because you will wake up with a prothstetic instead (yes this did happen to ren[no neither regret it])

2. Stress, she technically doesn’t have the training necessary but! She mostly heals using magic because you cannot convince that she is not a Druid. She’d be quite good at it! You would be healed but the likelihood plants rising up is small, but never zero.

3. GEM! Where’s this coming from? Well! GeminiTay has a bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory technologies IRL! So I feel Gem gets to the server she looks at Druid Stress trying her best and Doc ‘how many people can I convince I’m a medical doctor’ m77 and just sighs. She has Stress on as a nurse together they’ve been trying to get Mumbo and Etho to stop eating Redstone (because it is very toxic)

4. Keralis, resident therapist, very important on Hermitcraft

5. X, he has admin magic, enough to heal him as needed but it’d probably fry a normal persons immune system.

An small essay on what I think the hermits audiences look like in game:

Grian: Intrusive thoughts that look like purple eyes. Only he can see them and only when he closes his eyes. Staring. Watching.

Mumbo: redstone particles that give him ideas and light up a small redstone lamp that hovers above him every time he comes up with something particularly stupid.

Scar: Normally, its mouses that Jellie hunts down and eat, burping their messages out after. But when he's HotGuy, he can hear whispers as he flies through the air or draws an arrow.

Bdubs: The little soot guys from Spirited Away but they're made of moss.

Doc: Messages that appear in his cyborg eye and manifest as holographic wasps around him, forming the, you know, HIVEmind.

Rendog: A giant pack of different breeds of dogs that follow him everywhere. They are VERY loud.

Not a frequent regressor, he tends to push it off for as long as possible and then regress for like a while at once, rinse and repeat.

You think he likes goats when big? Try little Doc, he will talk about them for hours without even taking a break to breathe. He has plenty of goat plushies, and a goat onesie too.

He doesn’t tend to regress super small, like 4-10 range, and sometimes teen too but not as often. The longer he’s been pushing off regression the smaller he’ll get.

Regresses, whether he wants too or not, on trauma anniversaries, or during particularly stressful moments.

NHO + Ren tends to be his CG if he needs one, but he doesn’t really like company when small so he tends to hide and avoid people until he’s feeling big again.

Super clumsy, but still somehow a redstone pro? Like he’ll trip over his own two feet and then tell Etho that the issue is in the number of ticks of the repeater line.

Finds his own cybernetics fascinating when small, will fiddle with them and regret it when big. Sometimes he’ll forget he has them and then be shocked at the noises/look of them when he’s playing, which has brought him to tears before.

Much more emotional when small, but no more chatty. He doesn’t enjoy hearing himself talk when he’s small, it makes him feel like he’s playing pretend when he’s not.

During S8, he and Ren regressed a lot together, doing movie nights and campfires on the beach. Before S8, Ren didn’t even know Doc regressed.

In conclusion, I love one (1) goatman and he’s the best <3

Had a dream last night that grian decided to do another AFK prank, where he would go to where a hermit was building in the shopping district and stand facing away from them.

Then, when they noticed him, they would go and see what he was doing! And the second they walked up to him he would

Turn

Towards them

And everytime he had changed his skin to be slightly more and more creepy when he did. And then he would vanish.

Not like fly away or anything. It would look like he had just logged out, but he was still on the tab list. He was just GONE.

It eventually reached a point where he had done it to doc so many times that doc showed up on a stream, idk if it was his stream or someone else's, but he was talking about how 'grian was too good at being eldrich and creepy without even trying. It started with his scary backroom build and ever since he had just been the most casually horrifying thing on the server'

And then you heard grian go 'well that's not a very nice thing to say' and he just APPEARED behind doc and the man screamed

hello fellow silly thoughts on our good time guy and any silly beloved possibly fluff related hc’s/ideas for no reason at all

I will die on the hill that Scars main love language is physical touch, he’s always giving his friends little kisses and sits too close and sometimes he just walks around holding peoples hands, mainly cubs and Bdubs

He will fight to be the little spoon and if you stop hugging him in the night he is totally the type to get all sulky and claim they don’t love him >:( 

Most of his friends play to this, Ren being especially cuddly and inviting Scar to sit on him when they hang out while with Doc, who isn’t much of a fan of physical touch will still go out of his way to show affection now and then in the form of a brush against the back or a pat on the shoulder

Grian will sit on Scars shoulder and vise versa- he also just randomly scoops Scar up (literally) and goes for a walk, Scar loves it- at this point he doesn’t even question it and sometimes when they stand next to eachother Grian will hold Scars waist

Scar will often climb into another hermits bed when he can’t sleep or has a nightmare and they are happy to welcome him but it does mean that they have to deal with a clingy Scar while trying to get out of bed in the morning

Bdubs and Scar kiss eachother goodbye after hanging out and Cub will lay on Scar in the most obnoxious way to get him to go to bed when he’s refusing to sleep, he’s like a weighted blanket it works a treat

I need other people to agree with me that the fluffy Minecraft creeper was a good choice, and, in fact, the right choice even.

like I SWEAR Minecraft creepers being fluffy was a semi popular headcannon?? or I've just been severely duped by Docm77 & Awesamdude fanart where their creeper halves ARE FLUFFY.

But the Minecraft movie teaser comes out and suddenly everyone has an issue with creepers being fluffy LEAVE HER ALONE. SHES PERFECT.

With only two cases of Tall Claims Court so far in Hermitcraft Season 10, the ore snatcher or ore snatchers has been narrowed down to potential subjects between thirteen (excluding Doc) out of the 25 current hermits in Hermitcraft. We were revealed that under the oath, Cub has "strong reason to believe that the ore snatcher is in this room right now." From this statement we can narrow down the suspect or suspect(s) to Bdubs, False, Cleo, Ren, Joehills, Cub, Joel, xB, Beef, Keralis, Jevin, Mumbo and Scar.

Back in August, multiple clues were given by the supposed original Ore-Snatcher revealling that there were multiple ore-snatchers impostering to possibley enrage Doc once more. These clues being:

All put on seperate warped wooden signs with the only distinguishable facts being their return from a break or vacation and the signiture use of "$" as the Glitcher. This results in leading theories from the community of Hermitcraft and Doc himself suspecting Cub who until December, declared himself not "the Ore-snatcher".

So this leads to now where until four days ago a new subreddit post was posted on the Hermitcraft Subreddit where majority of the commentators either speculated it was Cub, a collab between multiple hermits or a title passed between hermits either intentionally or not.

This stacks up with Cub's answer towards him answering "Are you the Ore-snatcher" referring to the singular ore-snatcher that Doc assumes is the only with the word "the" with context referring to a singular person. This can be easily denied under the oath if the Ore Snatcher was a title stated by one person.
