okay so here's what i think about the murder mystery so far:

jin-il is someone who really cares about the cheer squad and the rules (like really cares about them), especially the squad's "no dating each other rule"

bc so far yoo min and hae yi only really have two things in common, from what we can see from his perspective: they stand out, and they're dating someone inside the squad. somehow this specific combo means that they're disrespecting the squad.

there's some misogyny to his thinking, because he only goes after the girls in the couples, not the guys, likely bc it's easier for him to target them since he percieves them as weak.

i'm a bit worried they're going to make his motive a reason that could stigmatise mental health but we'll have to wait and see.

THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Supportive PR employees, diabolical chaebols, powerful skinship, sham marriages, best friend butlers, sword dancing, Joseon flashbacks, tattoos, cropped suit jackets, cakes, clocks, disguised deities, full moon transformations, and the joy of just letting go and listening to your heart.

HOT TAKE: I didn't really love the start of this show, but its themes of loss and love really pulled on my heartstrings throughout. I didn't really love the ending either, but hey, its a love story and you get what you get. I will say though, Song Kang and Kim Yoo Jung win the award for 'Couple with the Smoothest Skin I've Ever Seen in a Kdrama.'

Choi Chi Yeol losing it almost everything Nam Haeng Son appears before him and just denying his obvious feelings as live is so hilariously done.

It's perfect. He just can't believe he can fall in love. That's it. And to this mother of a student. His ethical uprightness is blocking his heart and he is gonna everything to deny himself the love he feels.

As much funny this entire situation is till now, I need Haeng son to come clean so the dude gets some relief. He's already physically frail to begin with.

Nam Hae Yi subtly shipping them is so cute too. She is gonna be the one bringing them together because these two are pretty useless in that department is what I see so far.

And I want Chi Yeol to officially become a part of the family because you see him. Comfortable, well fed, smiling, taking care of them and just actually living a life than just existing for the sake of it.

Anyway what I meant was this drama is absolutely everything I didn't know I needed. Kinda in with the mystery killer dude story too. And yes, I hate the other mothers but my god what fabulous bunch of actors.

Ep12 The Atypical family (finale) short review

I am so grateful at the same time I am so happy at the same time I'm so sad is what I feeling for the ending.

Coz the way the writernim decide to explain everything ( the mystery ) is so well done that I wish it could be drag in ep11 a bit and continue ep12 so that I can have more family time of gwiju and da hae with their son.

And we did not even get this👆in the drama

Coz writernim said u get it 🤣🤣 he's back and he also have his power too which in ep11 where da hae sees a future trench coat gwijoo watching her drinking with past gwijoo.

So overall it's an emotional happy ending which I think writernim trying to purse and she succeed in doing so that I feel really overwhelming with everything and fully satisfied with him just coming back and the rest is just happy ever after.

The plot twist was bok nu ri

Coz I never guess it that they have time to produce a child in that short amount of time🤣🤣🤣🤣 gwi ju sperm daebak ( no wonder he was eager to sleep together) this is was apart of plan. 50% chance on whether the child will posses power though🤣🤣🤣

How I wish the writernim could just scrap the Ji han prison scene with gwi ju and da hae family time after 5 years ..coz that would make it more meaningful.

Plus we did not get to see 5 years later yi na.

We did get to see aunt and uncle😍🤣so unexpected couple but cute

Ottoke writing this review makes me sad again as this drama has concluded.😭
