Not a crossover: Bleeding Through Time AU Assassin’s Creed

Instead of the Bleeding effect just giving Desmond hallucinations of his ancestors’ experiences, he’s actually there with his ancestors. Not that he really realizes this.

I mean the ancestors have tried to talk to the weird guy that randomly shows up, but he keeps disappearing everytime they’ve tried to get close. Rude.

Well, that’s not right, he disappears every time they try to look directly at him. They can see what he looks like in their peripheral vision, but try to look any closer and he just vanishes, as if he was a hallucination.

If they try to see him using Eagle Vision Des kind of just becomes a shadow of a person, a negative space with a pair of glowing eyes staring back at them. Like an animal with their eye shine peaking out of the darkness. Creepy, but kind of cool af.

It’s an encounter that has been recorded among the assassins for ages, but the only advice usually given is to ignore the Shades until they go away.

The modern Assassins just kind of go insane. 🤷🏽‍♀️

the last unicorn post from earlier has me thinking about the master. that yana is still in there, you know? is still someone he was, if even for a brief flash across the life of a time lord. there’s no way to unlive that life. there are ways to twist it later, sure, to make utopia into hell on earth. but the life was lived. in much the same way that the doctor can remember, can feel, the love he held onto as john smith even as that life is ripped out of his hands. the doctor choose denial and then grief and then to shutter it all away. and so john smith died, and so professor yana died, and the doctor and the master live on. the doctor has done this before, and he lives in orbit around humanity, trying to keep the best parts of them and hold them deep enough to take root (which he can pretend he gets to choose, as a time lord. as a human, it all floods in and can’t be dug back out.) but what about the master, right?

to borrow a turn of phrase: i think there are two time lords left in the universe, and they both learned how to regret.

(Bc yes i go with the theory that the Final Getsuga is a shinigami/Shiba thing not a bastardized Vollstandig and that mattered) so instead of losing his powers, Ichigo's soul started to destabilize (which yeah, did affect his power levels, but more on the his reiatsu is back to where it was before the Dangai instead of. Well. Everything) which to be fair was Very Bad and potentially fatal in the moment, so he had to be placed back in his body and was medically forbidden to leave it until his soul healed (which. for the purpose of the fused au is also how Ichigo figured out about the able to turn into a ghost on command thing-the combination of being forced to transmit spiritual energy through his physical body while he was healing+learning that his goddamn old man was. a shinigami actually shifted his worldview enough that when he was okayed to leave his body he just. Transformed instead). Alas, on account of his soul barely holding together with spit and determination and the teensy little detail of him being part-Hollow (and actual-Zangetsu being the only one awake to frantically try damage control) meant that some wires got crossed as his soul was healing itself, and well, instead of re-solidifying in it's previous state some elements from (both of) his Hollow form(s) filtered in accidentally to his new base state. Which. Yk. Is a super fun thing to find out and absolutely not at all horrifying to learn to live with.

Here's some crazy idea to include in your next PJ fanfic: When two Demigods are having children, there's a 25% chance that their kid is going to be a god.

There's something called "Mendel's laws of inheritance", which organizes the chances of different results for the children of two parants.

Mendel took two flowers, one with purple genes and one with white genes, and mixed the togather. The entier generation of hybrids came out as purple flowers.

Then, Mendel took two of the flowers from the first hybrids, (F1 generation), and mixed them. The results: 75% of the hybrids were purple, while 25% are white.

The purple gene is the "Dominant" gene, and the white gene is "Reseceive". Therefore, when one parent only has Purple genes and the other only has white genes, all the kids will have the purple and dominant gene take over. But when the parent each has one purple gene and one white gene, the situation looks more like this:

50% of the "children" has one purple gene and one white gene, and the Dominant gene took over. 25% has two purple genes, and 25% has two white genes, therefore it is white.

Now, let's replace the word "purple" with "godly", and the word "white" with "mortal". Imagine Percabeth having children: Percy has one godly gene and one mortal gene, and so does Annabeth. So the table should look like this:

If one of their kids will get the two godly genes, which is a chance of 1/4, they will be a fucking god/godess. 1/2 kids will be demigods, like their parents. But like being a god, there's also a chance of 1/4 that one of their kids will be a regular mortal (probably the safest option out of the three).

In FaaF there are different species and kinds of higher beings (still a MASSIVE work in progress tbh, trying to figure out how these cunts work, but for now I'm thinking they're extremely rare species with far greater abilities and lifespans than a normal bug's that have a chance to ascend to true godhood (but even if they don't ascend that doesn't stop mortals from worshipping them as they're already very god-like from a normal bug's perspective)), "pale beings" being one of these kinds/mutations.

Well, there was also a different kind once, "void beings", but they all went extinct a very long time ago by the beginning of the story. Shade Lord was one, and last, of them and it lost its life in a fight with Radiance - the same fight that drove her to make her permanent residence in the dream realm out of her new-found fear of death (which backfired spectacularly ngl). Its body was buried in the Abyss, where it broke apart and decayed, or decayed as much as a non-living thing can, before it was unearthed many ages later by the pale wyrm.

Not much is known about them since they've been gone for so long, and the vessels are the only void beings remaining, but since they're not "pure" void beings it'd be foolish of anyone to assume that the ancient extinct species behaved the same way as these ones do. But they were generally greatly feared thanks to the void's freaky, dangerous properties, which partly lead to their extinction as some of the other higher beings purposefully attacked and killed them whenever they stumbled across one out of fear. Now the only thing remaining of them are the rare void sources, where their former bodies still refuse to fully die.

Shade Lord does get accidentally resurrected in the story bc of all the tomfoolery happening with its body before almost immediately getting killed again by Ghost who inherits its title and reign. Don't ask me how that works, haven't figured that out yet. Magic god shit or something idk LMAO

I guess for culture you could just look at irl marine life behaviours, and not only that but the way they could develope their societies would've started with the thermal vents and underwater volcanoes, as for a space age world well. they'd have to first breach the surface, only then can they go beyond.

I feel like if there are mermanoids all other sapient marine life should evolve the same way? (like early humans; neanderthals, homo erectus, homo naledi etc) as you need hands or suckers or fine hairs or claws to be able to hold things and make tools. to then be able to build and create. those that lack are disabled so yakno. prosthetics. and since gravity is a thing they can just wear mechanical legs for off world business.

it would take billions of years to develop still, and looking at humanity that's like. super long. so maybe their star is a brown dwarf. or maybe bathyos was never a waterworld to begin with and they evolved backwards like whales did haha
