The issue of over identification within the typology community

People who have talked to me have probably heard me talk about this at least once, but I do think it's a larger issue that would do good to many here. People in the typology community often joke about “not knowing who they are” without the ties of typology bound to them; this, especially considering the young age I've seen people study typology at, is concerning to me.  It's not a bad thing to study typology, on the contrary even. It can be extremely helpful to understand others and yourself better and to improve yourself. However there is a danger of reliance. By this I mean the point where people use typology more as a blueprint, explanation or guide of who they are as opposed to a tool to better understand their already established identity.  This especially goes for younger people in the community, considering they are still developing and maturing in many ways that aren't accounted for in many descriptions. This, plus the unstable self image many young people experience, causes them to constantly change their typology to something they'll then have to adjust themselves to (ie. over identification). This does not only go for younger people in the community, but it is a far more frequent occurrence.

Obviously I'm not going to prohibit anyone from studying typology, but I am saying that you need to be careful. If you notice yourself struggling with this, I’m advising you to take a break from reading and actively studying typology, stop asking your friends what placements they think you fit for a few months and come back to it when you’ve been able to get some character development outside of the binds of random letters and numbers.

I think Alhaitham wouldn't feel insecure about how Kaveh feels about him but still has a bit of doubt that he thinks about sometimes but doesn't mention it ever so no one really knows about it

Littlr headcanon: all the sleep deprivation catches Kaveh when hes older so he takes naps all the time (unwillingly). When he wakes up, he is very mad about falling asleep and not working instead, but each time Alhaitham doesnt have a heart to wake up, because Kaveh always finds the most warm and cozy place to sleep. Like a cat.

What if after marriage, when the farmer is mad at Sam, they'll start calling him as Samson and every time he hears farmer call himself that he FEELS shivers down his spine and he'll quickly make up an excuse about something he did earlier even if farmer didn't mention it

My headcanon for farmer is that they barely speak so they make up for it with actions specifically gift giving. That's their love language and it's so prominent that everyone in the valley knows it. Which is also why the spouse gets jealous when you gift another bachelor/ette
