Y’Know people theorizing if Donkey Kong from Bananza is actually DKJR made me think…Does Nintendo and Rare even care? Like have they given Jr a single thought these past few years? I know he appeared in Kart Tour but firstly Are you seriously going to count that and if you are then secondly im sure we can all agree thats just cause he was the only character they could add since he was the only character in that game that never appeared in another kart again. Another thing to think about is that originally he was supposed to be in DKC alongside his father but due to his design being so different it was either make him a different character or go back to the old design and im sure i dont need to tell you what choice they made

Another thing is that people dont seem to mention the fact that the main character was supposed to be OG DK who we now know as Cranky instead of DKIII and Crankys role would’ve gone to

Anyways back on topic we dont know if Rare or Nintendo ever gave Jr a single thought after this beyond confirming that DKIII is not Jr,the cameo in the movie and changing DKIII from Crankys grandson to son in said movie. With all this i dont think theres plan to ever confirm what happened to Jr hell with all this talk bout him we’ve never seemed to questioned who DKIII’s mother is…..unless its Miyamoto again.
