Screaming over this 9 1/4” that I can’t do anything with

I moved the fridge over to that wall (irl) but it just sticks out too much so it really closes off that door n makes it awkward to grab the doorknob to go downstairs so the fridge has to stay pulled to the left

Currently I stick my mop in that crack but like… this is going to be our dream reno, making the house the way we want it For Life and I’d rather not 1) have a mop in the kitchen and 2) have a horrible nook to try to clean

#I’m sure there’s some storage unit that people dig to fit there #but i was hoping for a pre made solution in this instance #literally just a v skinny door would work tbh #kitchen #I can stick a literal filler panel there but like #idk feels like a waste of space to just close it off #diy not dig #my phone updated and I swear autocorrect got worse

#my mind palace #it is actually so hard to find one word for like Diy Sculpted Clay Figure to probably google ref like I'm looking for like a specific #detailed look and whenever you look up anything like clay or figurines you get like really shitty frog blob etsy crap. Dont Like It #i want like graphic illustration style inspired Scenes Vignettes like everything from anime figures to those little detailed figurine #statues you see at goodwill of like three bears digging into a box of apples and theyre wearing like overalls and theyre cute #and they have those little gold rectangles on the bottom that say the name of the piece which is like #The Brothers Three ~ the applewood collection #the last clay figure i made was like done in a fugue state using the corner of my broken vanity while sitting on a broken air mattress that #would slowly deflate over the course of like five hours . using like bobby pins and thumbtack points for carving details shit. shizophrenic #BUT it came out good

#the evil dead #1981 #horror imagery #eye horror #gore tw #sam raimi #bruce campbell #ellen sandweiss #betsy baker #richard demanincor #theresa tilly #tom sullivan #joseph loduca #rob tapert #ted raimi #american cinema #video nasty #evil deadology #horror film #thus spake the people. evil dead won my poll on which horror franchise to work through next‚ and somehow this was the one that I'd not seen #a single second of; the entire trilogy (and various follow ups) passed me by. i still felt like i was coming into this knowing it beat for #beat because of the inevitable cultural osmosis you get when a film is this influential and this popular; i knew the plot‚ i knew Ash‚ i #knew what to expect. what i didn't expect was quite how good this was. received wisdom had it that this was the rough first indie film that #was followed by better‚ more polished instalments but i have to say‚ taken on its own merits‚ this is a hell of an achievement #it's immediately apparent both that this isn't just another DIY splatter nasty made to cash in‚ and that right from the get go Raimi was a #highly creative and fiercely original talent. there's no reason‚ if making a cheapy gore film‚ for Raimi to be shooting from behind the #swinging pendulum of a grandfather clock‚ or to include genuinely sweet character moments like Ash and Linda playing a cute game of #avoiding glances whilst he gives her the pendant (and so wonderfully and so darkly inverted later‚ as her demonic form plays the same game #whilst he digs her grave). seriously messed up fx in places‚ very real sense of dread‚ absolutely phenomenal sound design #sometimes the classics are classics for a reason. an absolute masterclass in indie shock horror and a massively fun time
