Logan gives off such powerful butch lesbian energy in his plaid shirt in that last scene. Where are the AU fics with him working at Home Depot and Wade being a single father to an ugly dog who's obsessed with him and takes on more and more dangerous home DIY installations just for an excuse to go into the store and interact with his man. Like he just shows up increasingly more and more injured as the days go by, and Logan's forced to go check on him one day when he doesn't appear at his regular time. Maybe someone gets conveniently stuck inside a dryer for plot purposes.

For the DMW AU I can understand that Peppi-no can imitate Peppino’s appearance perfectly, though I’m wondering how he can mimic things like human skin and the feeling of clothes?

When Gustavo hugged him in part II, did he notice that “Peppino” felt weird or anything?

Ohoho! This is a great question. Let's dive into this and some more!

He's a lot stiffer than your average fake peppino. He doesn't melt unless he's in huge amounts of stress, or intense heat. (Or if he's really relaxed!) To the touch his skin feels like, well ..skin, atleast at first. It's leathery and rubbery but it's a convincing imitation. And he has no problem with things like hair and nails, those feel like they are supposed to be.

The major problems come with the clothes. He can imitate the ridges and folds of clothing plausibly. But they still have the rubbery-leathery feel of his skin. He combats this by making these parts of him "rougher" It does it's job well enough in case someone makes a short contact with him. But here comes another issue, he can't take his clothes off, since they're effectively a part of his body.

There's a possible workaround to this! He could shapeshift into a clotheless version of himself (no, im not going to draw that) and then he could just put real clothes over himself. Unfortunately being "Peppino" he's still poor and cannot afford to buy any clothes, so that plan falls flat.

He's solid but if you were to squish his face, for example, you would soon find that something feels wrong...he doesn't have bones..? This is a problem that Peppi-no is well aware off. He has to constantly remind himself to bend his limbs in a way that's possible for a human being.

Peppi-no naturally avoids physical touch, there are many reasons for this, and not wanting to be found out is only one of them. He associates it with danger.

I've been working on the silly guy for a couple of weeks now and this is how he turned out!!

I didn't sculpt the whole thing, just the face and rays. He was a little jester ornament I found in a flea market, he used to look like this:
