MASK UP FOR GLOBAL LIBERATION
Protect your community by wearing N95s and KN95s when meeting indoors or in crowds! The more of us mask up, the less we get sick, the harder it is for police to surveil us, and the safer we make our shared spaces for our disabled and immuno-compromised comrades and loved ones.
Get started by finding local mask resources on the global COVID Action Map (you can also submit groups to be added). If you have the means, donate masks and tests to your local orgs and encourage accessibility so we can ALL join the fight (bringing in interpreters/translators and medics, ensuring accessibility for wheelchairs/mobility devices, offering child care, filtering the air indoors, setting up virtual options etc).
UPDATE: Download this 8.5"x11" poster for free on itch.io to print and distribute! Includes files suitable for color, black and white, and risograph printing. Any donations will go to printing costs, or buying masks for my local mutual aid groups.
Pandemics have no borders, and all our struggles are united!
[ID: A poster declaring “MASK UP” in red above 3 figures from the waist up, each wearing a different respirator mask. The top figure is an Arab person wearing a fluttering red and white kufiyah over a black hijab and red dress, as well as an Aura 9210+ N95 mask. They steady themselves with one hand on the lower left figure, and raise the other one up triumphantly. The left person is a fat Asian teenager wearing a black hoodie with a genderqueer symbol on the shoulder, and a black Laianzhi HYX1002 KN100 mask. They are holding a box labeled FREE that’s full of COVID-19 Rapid Tests, and two different kinds of plastic-wrapped N95s. The last figure is a middle aged Black person in a power chair, wearing a Flo Mask with a customised rainbow cover, a dark blue winter hat with a Disability pin on it, and a blue shirt featuring 6 countries flags from R to L: Sudan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Palestine, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and Tigray, Ethiopia. Underneath reads: “RESPIRATOR MASKS PROTECT: your health, your identity, and your community. Find resources near you at COVIDActionMap.org”]

It’s important to remember that Hezbollah is a civilian political party as well as a militant organization. Hezbollah holds seats in the Lebanese parliament, duly elected. Just because you are a member of Hezbollah does not mean you are an armed militant, and thus a legitimate military target. The reverse is also true: just because you distribute handheld bombs to “members of Hezbollah” and detonate them, that does not mean you won’t end up killing civilians. In fact, several outlets have reported that the sabotaged pagers belonged to civilians as well as actual Hezbollah fighters, and were used by a “wide network of people, including administrators, medical workers, paramedics, [and] media workers.” But that’s only part of the picture. Even if it were true that Israel distributed the hidden bombs exclusively to armed combatants, they had no way of knowing what would happen to them after that. There were hundreds of the devices, any of which could have been sold, stolen, given away, or lost and picked up by a child. And even in the best-case scenario for Israel, if the devices had been held exclusively by militants at the time of detonation, the collateral damage would still be unacceptable. As Edward Snowden points out, “They blew up countless numbers of people who were driving (meaning cars out of control), shopping (your children are in the stroller standing behind him in the checkout line), et cetera. Indistinguishable from terrorism.” In other words, when Israeli agents pressed the button on September 17, they had no way of knowing what the civilian death toll would be. The act was not “precise,” but haphazard and reckless. They did it anyway.

before anything, please let me mention, though lebanon, same as israel, is the size of a peanut, hezbollah rules very defined regions and the attack was not ALL over lebanon, as the media likes to overdramatize. next- israel planted that in very outdated, new (pre distribution) communication devices specifically requested by nasrallah to be used by hezbollah terrorists, when israel confirmed it had breached hezbollah’s communication network months ago.
yet:
sympathizers are not worried that so many pagers purchased solely for communication purposes between people affiliated with a designated terror organization had be distributed and found a trusty owner?
a 9 year old girl was allowed near a pager used for terror purposes.
how fucking common it is to be affiliated and rank high enough to get a fucking encrypted communication device for a terror organization.
never in the history of the war against terror has there been a more precise in such a large scale attack on a terror organization, yet the antisemites still be antisemitizing.
if so many doctors got hurt, this begs the question, why did public medical personal had communication devices purchased by a terror organization in a country with a functioning government?
and most importantly: how fucking easy it is to activate the west’s white savior complex and get its pity, even when it’s absolutely ridiculous.

So I was doing some looking around and researching into possible real life equivalents for Color’s physical condition, such as his fragility to the point of possible death if he overexerts his abilities.
Color’s condition—which is characterized by physical fragility, fatigue, and the potential for severe physical deterioration—has similarities to several real-life conditions that affect energy levels, muscle strength, and overall physical integrity such as:
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) / Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)
Symptoms: Extreme fatigue that doesn’t improve with rest, muscle and joint pain, cognitive difficulties, and post-exertional malaise (worsening of symptoms after physical or mental exertion).
Like Color, individuals with CFS/ME have limited energy reserves and can experience significant physical and cognitive fatigue from overexertion. They need to carefully manage their activity levels to avoid severe consequences.
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease)
Symptoms: Fragile bones that break easily, muscle weakness, and fatigue.
The physical fragility and risk of cracking or breaking with exertion in Color's body can be likened to the bone fragility in individuals with osteogenesis imperfecta. Managing physical stress and avoiding overexertion is crucial.
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS)
Symptoms: Hypermobile joints, skin that bruises easily, chronic pain, and fatigue.
The combination of fragility, easy bruising or tearing (cracking in Color’s case), and chronic fatigue can parallel the experiences of those with EDS, where physical stress can lead to significant issues.
Like individuals with CFS/ME, Color would need to pace his activities, taking frequent breaks and avoiding overexertion to prevent severe fatigue and physical damage. He might need to prioritize his activities, focusing on essential tasks and avoiding unnecessary exertion.
Similar to those with brittle bone disease, Color would need to avoid situations that could physically stress his body and lead to cracking or dusting.
He might use supportive devices or strategies to minimize physical strain, such as ergonomic tools for photography or mobility aids for traveling.
Techniques to manage chronic pain and discomfort, which could include medication, physical therapy, or other interventions. Ensuring adequate nutrition to support his body’s needs and potentially mitigate some of the fatigue and physical issues.
Developing coping mechanisms to handle the emotional stress of his physical condition, possibly through therapy or support groups. Relying on friends like Killer, Epic, Delta, and Beta for emotional support and understanding during difficult times.
Some supportive devices or strategies Color might make use of at his leisure, particularly with matters such as traveling and hiking, he could use things like orthopedic supports, mobility aids, things for pain management, adaptive equipment, assistive technology and more.
He could use braces and splints to support unstable joints and prevent injuries, and/or compression garments to help with joint stability and reduce pain.
Mobility aids such as walking poles or trekking poles to provide stability and reduce impact on joints during hiking. (His walking poles are definitely covered in stickers and drawings from all his friends.)
He could use portable heat and cold packs to help manage pain and inflammation as well as portable massager to relieve muscle tension and pain.
Adaptive equipment such as ergonomic backpacks designed to reduce strain and distribute weight evenly. Adjustable hiking sticks for customization based on height and terrain.
Voice-Activated apps and devices for navigation and reducing the need for physical interaction with devices. Smartphone apps for tracking symptoms, medication, and managing energy levels.
Stress- relief tools like stress balls, fidget toys, or calming apps to help manage PTSD symptoms or overstimulation.
Personal comfort items or sensory aids that provide emotional support during travel or hiking, such as all the evidence and trinkets of his loved ones back home or spiritual/religious items or symbols. Techniques and tools for managing fatigue, like scheduled rest breaks and planning shorter, manageable hikes.
Travel planning apps to help with organizing trips, finding accessible accommodations, and managing health needs.
(And of course this isn’t supposed to be me diagnosing color with anything, or saying what he does or doesn’t have. Mostly just to take some things this character experiences and link it to some real life equivalents, that could potentially help better understand him and what he deals with.)

[I originally wrote this article using my own translation of the statement, however I have since downloaded the official translation, so my quotes may not be exact]
🇵🇸🇮🇱 🚨 PALESTINIAN RED CRESCENT REDUCING SERVICES AT AL-QUDS HOSPITAL DUE TO LACK OF FUEL, FOOD AND MEDICAL SUPPLIES
According to a statement by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, the al-Quds Hospital located in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza City will be reducing the healthcare services being provided at one of the largest and most important hospitals in the Gaza Strip, due to a lack of food, fuel, and medical supplies at the healthcare center.
According to the statement, the reduction of healthcare services will be implemented Wednesday, November 8th, 2024 with the aim of rationing fuel consumption and to continue providing medical services for the next few days.
The report emphasizes the need to conserve fuel, and declares the following measures for extending the life of services being provided to civilians in Gaza City.
1. To stop the hospital's large generator and to use smaller ones instead.
2. Closing the surgical department
3. Stopping the usage of the oxygen generation station, and instead rely on canisters of oxygen.
4. Closing of the MRI and X-Ray Departments.
5. Creating a schedule for the distribution of electricity, whereby each of the three hospital buildings receive 2 hours of electricity per building per day, beginning at 5pm to ensure displaced civilians can access basic services such as charging devices.
The statement goes on to slam the Israeli authorities for refusing to allow fuel into the Gaza Strip, saying it was only able to obtain limited quantities of fuel from gas stations, however, such options expired about two weeks ago as gas sources inside Gaza dried up rapidly under sustained bombardment by Israeli Occupation Forces.
The statement points out that as a result of these actions being taken, the hospital hopes that they will not exhaust their supplies and be forced to close their doors for at least the next few days. The statement also points to the scarcity of food and clean water as a major problem as well, with nearly 14'000 displaced Palestinians sheltering inside the hospital compound.
The Palestinian Red Crescent also highlighted the fact that it has been isolated from the larger Gaza City area due to road closures for the third day in a row from Israeli bombing and shelling, making it that much less likely the healthcare center will be able to acquire further resources.
Lastly, the Palestinian Red Crescent statement accuses Israeli Occupation Forces of targeting Humanitarian Aid convoys bringing aid to the various health centers in Gaza.
"Yesterday, the Israeli Occupation Authorities targeted the humanitarian aid convoy of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Gaza City which was carrying life-saving medical supplies to health facilities, including the association's Jerusalem Hospital, as the expected aid did not arrive until this moment," the statement reads near its end.
"Accordingly, the Palestine Red Crescent Society appeals to international bodies and organizations working in the health and healthcare sectors to bring in aid urgent humanitarian, essential needs, medical supplies and fuel for Al-Quds Hospital and the Gaza and North governorates."
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, 10'305 Palestinians have been killed since October 7th, with another 25'000 injured, including 4'237 children killed in Israeli air strikes, and another 2'719 women and 631 elderly people. Another 2'350 civilians are missing, likely buried under the rubble that was the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech, September 19th, 2024, following the zionist massacres of the last two days in Lebanon: Telegram Original Video in Arabic (Speech starts at: 15:04)
English Translation Below (Long post)
I congratulate Muslims on the occasion of the birth of the Greatest Messenger, Prophet Muhammad, and his grandson, Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq. I extend my highest congratulations to the families of the martyrs, both in the homeland and on the southern front, for receiving the honor of martyrdom, and I wish the wounded a speedy recovery.
I thank the government, the medical sector in Lebanon for their serious efforts, and all those who donated blood in various Lebanese regions. I express gratitude to everyone who transported a wounded person and those who declared their readiness to donate organs to the injured. I thank our kind people and our dear citizens from all regions, as well as political and labor leaders who stood in solidarity with us. One of the blessings of what happened is the unprecedented humanitarian and moral epic we witnessed on both the national and humanitarian levels. Thanks to the countries that rushed to send medical aid and transport the injured, particularly Iraq and Iran, and to the Syrian government for opening its hospitals. The enemy used a civilian device employed by large segments of society, and repeated this on Wednesday by detonating wireless communication devices, regardless of who was carrying them. As a result of this aggression, dozens of martyrs were killed, including children, women, and civilians. Some explosions occurred in hospitals, markets, public roads, homes, and locations primarily populated by civilians. When the enemy detonated the pagers, it deliberately aimed to kill 4,000 people in a single minute. Over the course of two days, on Tuesday and Wednesday, in just one minute, the enemy intended to kill no fewer than 5,000 people in two minutes. The human efforts and the eagerness shown by the people contributed to reducing serious injuries.
Through Allah's grace and with sincere and devoted human efforts, zeal, passion, and the massive presence of different segments of our people, a large part of the enemy's goal was thwarted. We have formed technical and security investigation committees and are studying all possibilities. We have reached an almost complete conclusion, but the case is still under investigation and careful follow-up—from production to distribution and procedures in Lebanon. We will reach definitive results regarding the explosions in a short time, and appropriate measures will be taken accordingly. There is no doubt that we were subjected to a major blow, both in terms of security and humanity, unprecedented in the history of the resistance in Lebanon, and also unprecedented in Lebanon, the conflict with the zionist enemy, and on a global scale. What happened was a major terrorist operation, and we will define the events of Tuesday and Wednesday as massacres. This significant and powerful blow did not and will not bring us down. This is the nature of war and conflict. We know that our enemy has technological superiority because the West stands behind it. When we engage in this conflict, we rely on effort, sacrifices, attrition, and the accumulation of gains to win. War is a cycle—one day for us from our enemy, and one day for our enemy from us. Tuesday and Wednesday were a major test for us, and, Allah willing, we will overcome this test with pride. I say that this major blow will not bring us down. Through this experience and its lessons, we will become stronger, more steadfast, and more capable of confronting all possibilities and dangers. A former "israeli" deputy chief of staff described what is happening in the north as a historic defeat for "israel."
The Lebanese front is a heavily pressuring front and one of the most significant bargaining chips that the Palestinian resistance holds today to achieve its goals and stop the aggression.
The enemy attempted to separate the Lebanese front from the Gaza front and threatened war. All of this is aimed at pressuring the Lebanese state, the Lebanese people, and the resistance in Lebanon to stop this front. The massacres of Tuesday and Wednesday were part of the pressure to stop the front.
All the enemy's attempts failed, and the resistance remained steadfast in its position, so the enemy resorted to this method, which is the highest level of criminality.
After Tuesday's massacre, we received messages that the goal of this strike was for us to stop fighting on the Lebanese front, and if we do not stop, they have more to unleash.
Another goal of the enemy is to undermine the support base, wear it down, exhaust it, and make it cry out for the resistance to stop.
Our response, on behalf of the martyrs and the wounded, on behalf of those who lost their eyes and hands, and on behalf of all who took on this religious and moral duty to support Gaza, which is suffering from hunger, is this: to Netanyahu and Gallant, the Lebanese front will not stop until the aggression on Gaza stops.
Whatever the sacrifices, consequences, possibilities, and the future of the region, the resistance in Lebanon will not stop supporting and standing by the people of Gaza—this is the first response.
The statements from the wounded themselves reflect their morale, great patience, and determination to return to the battlefield—this is another response to the enemy.
The enemy aimed to weaken the resistance’s environment through this widespread bombing, trying to exhaust it and make it cry out, telling the resistance leadership, "Enough." This goal was also thwarted on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The enemy also aimed, through the Tuesday and Wednesday massacres, to undermine the structure and the command-and-control system, and to spread confusion and weakness within Hezbollah's leadership. This did not happen at any point.
The structure of the resistance has not been shaken or disrupted.
The enemy must understand that what happened did not affect our structure, will, command and control system, or our presence on the front lines; rather, it will make us stronger and more present.
We accepted this challenge on October 8, and today we accept it again. I say to Netanyahu and the zionist entity: You will not be able to bring the northern settlers back to the north, do whatever you want. If you want to bring the settlers back, the only way is to stop the aggression on Gaza.
In recent weeks, there has been talk in the zionist entity about shifting focus to the north, with the aim of bringing "northern residents back to the north safely."
I say to Netanyahu: You will not be able to bring the "northern residents back to the north." Do whatever you want. This is a great challenge between us and you, and the only way to achieve your goal is to stop the war on Gaza. No military escalation, no killing, no assassinations, and not even a full-scale war can return the settlers to the borders, at all, Allah willing.
The northern region commander proposed creating a security belt within Lebanese lands. I say to him, we welcome that because your soldiers are heavily fortified and are taking many precautions. We are searching for zionist soldiers and tanks to target them with lamp and fuse, day and night, but if they decide to come themselves, we say to them, "Welcome."
The security belt will turn into hell for your army if you decide to come to our land. You will face hundreds of those who were wounded on Tuesday and Wednesday, as they have become even more determined. What you are about to do will further displace those fleeing from the north and will push away any chance of their return. What the enemy considers a threat, we consider a historic opportunity, and we welcome it.
There is no doubt that the aggression that occurred is massive and unprecedented, and it will be met with severe retribution and just punishment, from where they expect ot do not expect it.
As for the severe retribution, the news is in what you will see, not in what you will hear, and we keep this within the tightest circle.
The enemy's foolish, narcissistic, reckless leadership will lead this entity into the abyss.
We hope that Allah will help our people in Gaza and the West Bank who are being subjected to genocide before the eyes of the world.

Sirex Woodwasp (Sirex noctilio)
Distribution: Native to temperate parts of the Palearctic realm, from northwestern Africa to the Russian far-east. Introduced to North and South America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand, where it is invasive.
Habitat: Typically inhabits wooded areas, especially where there are many pine trees.
Diet: Larvae feed off fungal tissue up to the second instar, then feed on wood interspersed with fungal mycelium; they only feed on the species Amylostereum areolatum. Adults feed on the xylem of pine trees.
Description: The sirex woodwasp has a mutualistic symbiotic relationship with A. areolatum, a pathogenic crust fungus. When the female is ready to lay her eggs, she drills holes through the wood of pine trees, all the way to the xylem, and deposits eggs, A. areolatum spores and a phytotoxin. The mycelium of the fungus creates an ideal environment for the egg to hatch, and inversely, the phytotoxins secreted by the female, along with the holes she creates, weakens the tree and allows the fungus to more easily infect it.
While the sirex woodwasp is considered a pest because of its adverse effects on pine tree plantations, its presence has also brought positive contributions to the medical field. A probe imitating the structure of a female woodwasp's ovipositor is in development, that would facilitate certain medical treatments such as surgeries, biopsies and medicine injections, as well as making it easier to access tumours or place devices inside the body.

Cozy eepy ghoul fluff JUST FOR YOU
Rain grumbles to himself in bed, curled up on his side and shivering.
It's another drafty winter night and the water ghoul is miserable, alone in his room and too cold to get up and stoke the fire he'd let burn down to embers much too quickly. It's after midnight and he's tired, a long day of library work and practice behind him. But it's way too cold for him to sleep, and he'd rather be back in the pit than forced to get up in this chill.
Rain hisses as he wriggles an arm out of the mass of blankets he's wormed himself into to grab his phone from the nightstand, fingers shaking while he types.
R: Help, my fire went put and I'm freezing.
R: *out
The screen goes dark and Rain swears he can see his breath in the moonlight pouring over him. He whines high in his throat and tugs a blanket over his head. His phone buzzes a few minutes later.
D: fuck u too? satanas i gotta be in 4 rooms at once apparently
Well, at least Rain isn't the only one suffering.
R: Shit. Sorry Dew.
D: stfu its not ur fault
D: common room in 20
Rain perks up at that. The common room this late at night can only mean one thing. There's just a little problem.
R: I can't het up, I'll be an icicle. :(
R: *get, sorry, fingers are frozen.
D: ffs
D: hang on i'll get u a ride princess
Rain rolls his eyes and curls back in on himself. He imagines the others passing the time while they waited for the impending meetup.
Mountain would be fussing over his plants first and foremost, pressing gentle fingers into their soil to distribute his earthen warmth. He'd be in low-slung flannels and a long sleeved shirt, little sprigs of lavender poking from his hairline as sleep tried to dig its claws into him. Rain thinks about how wonderful Mountain is to sleep next to, naturally warm and big enough engulf his whole body. They sleep back to chest every time, legs tangled together, Mountain's arm clutching Rain's chest with their fingers intertwined. Mountain would snore into his hair, lulling him into a dreamy slumber.
Aether would be in a similar boat as Rain, his proximity to the void at the source of his power leaving him cooler than most. He wouldn't show it though. If Rain went to him right now, Aether would be lounging in bed with a medical text and those elegant silver-framed reading glasses in place, casual as could be in just a pair of pajama pants. His eyes would be heavy though, sleep dragging at their corners. Rain would slip under the covers and Aether would put his things aside, sliding down onto his back and letting the water ghoul curl against his side. Rain would hook a long leg over Aether's hip and an arm over his belly, resting his head on his soft chest. Rain always falls asleep first, soothed by Aether's quintessence and comforting presence.
Dew, if he weren't running around prepping for an impromptu ghoul pile, would undoubtedly be with either Aether or Swiss. It was rare to find the fire ghoul sleeping alone, except maybe in the dead of summer. Rain didn't mind sleeping next to him in any season, his natural chill an advantage that allowed them to share a bed on even the warmest nights. Dew would either be playing his beat up acoustic or watching some nonsense on his phone until sleep took over, dropping the device into his own face at least once. To sleep with Dewdrop is to sleep naked, and Rain quite likes that about the experience. They sleep face to face, entangled in one another any way they can manage, skin to skin and forehead to forehead. Rain would drift off on the scent of cinnamon and a crackling fire, awash in cozy warmth.
Swiss would be in whoever's bed would have him. Not always for anything lascivious, but the multighoul did NOT sleep alone. He'd had horrific nightmares after his summoning, the others finding him shrieking his lungs out in the dark. The presence of others at night had helped him through it, and the habit had stuck. If Swiss had texted Rain to come to his room, it would have led to two things - being stoned and making out. Not that you'd hear Rain complaining about it. He'd lay his head in Swiss's lap and let the other ghoul feed him the joint. Sometimes he'd kiss him with a mouthful of smoke instead, and Rain liked that especially. They would drift together, tactile and giggly and in just their boxers, Rain eventually falling asleep between Swiss's legs, arms wrapped around his waist. Swiss would sing him there, gentle claws running over his scalp while Rain pressed kisses into the little bit of pudge at his waistband.
The girls would be together in their nest, formerly Cumulus's chambers. Cirrus and Sunshine's rooms were always empty at night, unless they were entertaining a guest. Even then, they always migrated back together. Anyone was welcome in their shared den, to their oversized bed strewn with countless pillows and blankets, but it was always at least the three of them. The ghoulettes all sleep in pajamas that differ only in color; camisole style tops with shorts in light blue for Cumulus, silver for Cirrus and peach for Sunshine. They fit together in the nest, Sunshine at the center so the others could nestle into her warmth. Cumulus and Cirrus would mirror each other at her sides, one leg hooked over each of hers and their heads on her shoulders, arms around each other. If Rain joined alone, he liked to lay on his stomach under their tangle of legs, the weight of them carrying him off so easily.
If Rain were warm enough to sleep, he'd be reading himself there. He's currently in the middle of a trashy urban fantasy with vampires and werewolves, one he couldn't make it through a single chapter of without laughing hysterically. But ideally Dew would be here, sitting between Rain's legs and talking about everything and nothing while Rain braided his hair and soaked in his warmth. Dew would be doing something with his hands - rubbing Rain's calves, up to his thighs and then wriggling back against Rain's naked body. The water ghoul would smirk and say his name low, but the fire ghoul would feign innocence. He was just getting comfy. They'd tease each other until Rain was finished tying off the braid, then Dew would be flipping around so they could ravish each other. They'd fall asleep the same way as always, only much, much closer.
The designated 20 minutes fly by as Rain loses himself in thoughts of warmer times, and before he knows it he's being dragged from his reverie by his door being thrown open. Rain startles, peeking from behind his blankets to squint at the broad shape in the doorway.
"Someone said you needed a lift?"
Rain huffs out a laugh as Ifrit strides into the room in just a pair of low-slung sweats, arms crossed over his ample chest. Rain is tempted to just drag the fire ghoul into bed and lay on top of him, basking in his warmth.
"I can't feel my feet," Rain complains, and Ifrit grins as he leans down to scoop the water ghoul up princess style, blankets and all. He gives Rain a peck on the temple.
"You get tit privileges, Regina, don't worry." Rain chirps at the nickname, nuzzling into the fire ghouls neck in search of burning cedar and sun-warmed stone. He lets his eyes drift shut as Ifrit carries him to the common room, not opening them again until he's being set down next to the makeshift nest in the center of the room.
The couches and loveseat have been rearranged into a bed of sorts, shoved together with any gaps having been filled with pillows. It's lined with at least a dozen blankets and a mountain of pillows. The rest of the pack is already present, bleary eyed and swaying on their feet in the roaring firelight. They all clearly need this.
"Okay, Rain's in first tonight," Dew says, standing at the head of the nest. "Everybody wait your damn turn this time."
Rain yelps as Ifrit scoops him up and tosses him directly in the center of the plush pit. He laughs as Ifrit climbs in after him, scooching to the far end of the arrangement. Dew is right behind him, divesting Rain of his own blankets and rubbing a warm hand over his spine.
"Shit, raincloud, you are frozen," he murmurs, pushing heat into the water ghoul's skin. "C'mon, let's get you warm." It never ceases to amaze Rain how caring Dew can be. It only really came out on nights like this, but it blew him away every time.
Ifrit lays down first, half propped against the pillows in a corner. Rain follows him swiftly down while Sunshine mirrors Ifrit in the opposite corner. He molds himself to the fire ghoul's side, head firmly on his chest - Ifrit had given him tit privileges, after all - and twisting a leg around his. Ifrit kisses him on the forehead and Dew is next, pressing himself flush to Rain's icy back. He'd removed his shirt as well, and Rain greatly appreciated it. Dew presses his lips to the back of Rain's neck and hums softly into his skin. It's a weakness of Rain's and he finds his eyelids already begin to drag down.
The others follow suit.
Aether is next, finally admitting to also being cold and wedging himself on Ifrit's other side. He leans over to give each of them a kiss before resting on the other side of Ifrit's chest, laying a strong arm over their little pile. Dew does the same behind him, and just like that Rain is surrounded by warmth and comforting weight. Aether's leg loops around Ifrit's and their knees touch, Rain giggling at the sensation.
In the other corner, Sunshine has been bracketed by her girls in a position mirroring that of Rain and Aether on Ifrit. They all drag their legs up for Mountain to join, laying diagonally between the two piles. Swiss follows, scrambling to lay directly on top of Mountain with his head in the center of the earth ghoul's chest. The rest of them would wait until the two were settled, Mountain then giving the okay for everyone to put their legs up. They all would, a blanket of limbs weighing Swiss down against Mountain's chest until they were both groaning.
Once they're all settled, Swiss is the first to tap into his fire and start the warming process. His heat leaches into Mountain, and into their combined legs. Rain groans as his toes start regaining feeling. Sunshine is next, her summery warmth flooding them with the scent of honeyed peach blossoms. Ifrit and Dew warm themselves together, and the moan Rain gives has all of them chuckling. He can't even think to care, not with the toasty warmth and heady scents engulfing him. It's like he's at a bonfire in a fruit orchard, surrounded by everyone he loves.
"Thank you," he breathes into Ifrit's skin.
Dew kisses the back of his neck again in acknowledgement before going back to humming into the soft skin there. Rain is the first to start purring, drifting away in hazy warmth and a ring of arms. The rest aren't far behind.
Copia finds them like that the next morning when they're late for practice, the room filled with what sounds like roughly a dozen lions. He strokes a gloved hand through Rain's soft curls, chuckling at the way the water ghoul is drooling over Ifrit's skin. He can't bring himself to wake them, instead tiptoeing from the room with a warm smile on his face.
In his sleep, Rain does the same.

Ultimate Doctor Who Poll Round 2 - Matchup 17
Episode Summaries under the cut
10: The End of Time Part One/Two - 2009 Christmas/New Years Special: The Doctor is summoned by the Ood, who give him a vision of the Master returning and the End of Time. The Doctor rushes to the TARDIS to get to the past, but is too late as a ritual is completed to revive the Master, which destroys the building in the process. When the Doctor lands he is found by Wilfred Mott, his former companion Donna's grandfather. They chat, but the Doctor goes off to find the Master, and searches his mind for the sound of drums beating, which has driven him to insanity. He's gleeful to discover that the sound is real, but is soon captured by a billionaire's men and taken back to his mansion. The Doctor and Wilf follow in the TARDIS.
The billionaire has the Master work on a medical device that he believes can bring immortality. The Doctor discovers two aliens that were the original owners of the device working in secret at the mansion. They share that the device actually heals whole planets at a time by distributing a healthy genetic template across an entire population. The Doctor runs to stop the Master, but he has already escaped and entered the device, transmitting a signal to turn every human on the planet into himself. The Doctor is able to protect Wilf from this.
Elsewhere, the Time Lords of Gallifrey are working to stop the Time War by implanting a signal in the Masters head as a child, the drum beats. They send a diamond to Earth in order to make the link physical. The Doctor is rescued by the aliens from before, who teleport themselves, the Doctor, and Wilf to their ship in Earth's orbit. The Master, and all his clones, use their combined focus on the drumbeats, allowing the diamond to come through. The Master gloats about this and the Doctor realizes he plans to bring the Time Lords back.
He flies the ship down to Earth, he crashes into the room where the Master has brought back the heads of the Time Lord council. Lord President Rassilon reverses the Master's transformation of all of the humans, and begins to summon Gallifrey into space next to the Earth, which the Doctor warns will bring all the horrors of war with it. Wilf returns to the Doctor and rescues a worker trapped in a control booth, trapping himself in the process. Rassilon also reveals his plan to destroy time itself, allowing Time Lords to ascend to a state of higher consciousness.
The Doctor shoots the machine creating a link, sending the Time Lords back to the war. Rassilon aims to kill the Doctor, but the Master gets in the way, attacking Rassilon and going back to Gallifrey with them. The Doctor is surprised to be alive, after a prophecy he'd received said his death would be after "he will knock 4 times" which he'd assumed was about the drum beats in the Master's head. As he lies there, relieved, Wilf knocks on the door of the control room 4 times. The Doctor realizes it is about to flood with radiation, which would kill Wilf. The only way to save him is to take on the radiation himself. He laments losing his life to save his friend, but does it, which kickstarts his regeneration.
The Doctor goes on a tour visiting his former companions. He saves Martha Jones and Mickey Smith from a Sontaran. He saves Sarah Jane Smith's son Luke from getting hit by a car. He sets up Captain Jack Harkness with another man. He visits a book signing of the great-granddaughter of a woman he fell in love with when he turned himself human. He shows up at Donna's wedding, where he leaves a lottery ticket as a present for her. He finally stops at Rose's flat, on New Year's Day before she first met him. He then walks to his TARDIS and regenerates.
138: Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks - Season 3, Episodes 4 & 5: The Doctor and Martha land in 1930's New York City, where people from a homeless encampment have been going missing. Meanwhile construction of the Empire State Building is being overseen by Daleks from a Dalek cult the Doctor had encountered before. The Doctor discovers that the Daleks have been experimenting on humans. Those they deem to be low-intelligence are turned into slaves mixed with pig dna. Those with high-intelligence are selected to be turned into Dalek-Human hybrids.
The leader of the cult agrees to turn himself into a hybrid to test the experiment. His newfound humanity makes him believe that the Daleks can change their ways and he asks for the Daleks help in creating the hybrids with even more humanity. The other full Daleks turn on him and a fight breaks out between them and their experiments. The hybrid Dalek and all their experiments are killed, as well as 2 of the three full Daleks. The last Dalek escapes using an emergency temporal shift.

Christmas one shot for @mudd-art
TW: [Sevika & Silco], [fluff-ish], [business relationship (sort of)], [medical issues], [pain resulting from a medical issue], [medical devices]
[This is my little present for my friend Mudd for the Secret Santa 2023]
Synopsis:
Sevika returns to the Last Drop, enters Silcos office to encounter a rare scenery…
Silent Visitor
Sevika left the Drop just as she arrived, no one daring to get in her way. Better for them to think she got chewed out; The Eye of Zaun never sleeps, and she won't Sevika stomps back to the Last Drop. A fitting name since the previous job nearly cost Servika her last NERVE. Finn - not only does he stand in between Silco and his plans, but also between her and the end of her shift, between her and her last fucking cigarette!!
Almost enraged, she stomped back to Last Drop, smoking the last cigarette in her pack. Her mood is as muddy as the Undercity roads.
She could hear Silco’s temper tantrum about the shipment and Finn's involvement already.
“How could this happen?” “How could this cretin have his fingers in this operation?” “Why weren’t you on top of this BEFORE IT HAPPENED??”
White smoke left her lips. It’s of no use… she would have to take the beating and move on… but it still stings in her back.
She enters the Last Drop, shortly nods to some employees, and stomps her way up to Silco’s office. She knocks shortly and enters without waiting for an answer. The room was rather dark and instinctively her eyes searched for the little orange glow of Silcos damaged eye.
Her gaze wandered from the door to his private bedroom to her right, over the glass window behind his desk, until they reached the couch to her left.
At first, she didn’t see him in the darkness of his office, but then she saw the small orange light to her left. There he was, slumped on his couch - whiskey glass in his hand. His cravat was lying to his right side, vest wide open, with the top of his shirt unbuttoned.
But another thing caught Servika’s attention: the contraption that was next to the cravat… the syringe-like injector for his shimmer injection.
Usually, Jinx helps Silco with his injection, but judging by how this whole scene looks, Silco had to do it alone. It was obvious to her by the way everything was distributed on the couch.
It's an often enough situation for her to recognize the signs of his struggle. From the half-empty liquor bottle to his crumpled nap on the couch. Always so put together, she hardly recognized the man sleeping on the couch. His vest was undone, cravat discarded; even the top of his shirt lay open.
Sevika had known Silco for a while now. He never said it to her, but she knew the injection has gotten harder and harder for him since the river toxins slowly but steadily destroy his nerves, and without the injection, he couldn’t even hold a pen without shaking like a leaf.
Contrary to popular belief Sevika pities him. Sure she lost an arm but her post-injury struggles aren’t getting worse, Silco now lived for years with them. Hard to imagine how this guy keeps going despite it all.
With a silent sigh, Sevika picks up his injector and the glass from his hand and puts both items on his desk. Then she pulls a blanket from a small storage container in the corner of the room and pulls it over Silco’s body. With a not very graceful maneuver she managed to lay one of the cushions behind Silco's neck and lay him back against the couch.
The last part is a necessity, not a kindness.
The better the man sleeps, the less of a pain in the ass he is to her and everyone around him."
Soon after he starts to snore - finally slipping into his deep sleep.
Sevika stayed for a little while to make sure everything was ok before exiting the room. Tomorrow morning she will pay Jinx an unpleasant visit…
Leaving Silco with the injection task... unbelievable.
Sevika left the Drop just as she arrived, no one daring to get in her way. Better for them to think she got chewed out; The Eye of Zaun never sleeps, and she won't say any different.… and it was better like that.

Abbott is warning that sensors on some of its blood sugar monitoring systems may need to be replaced to prevent inaccurate readings. Testing showed that some sensors on the FreeStyle Libre 3 system may incorrectly report high blood sugar levels, the medical device maker said Thursday. An inaccurate high blood sugar reading can prompt patients to take insulin when they don’t need it. The devices were distributed in the first half of May in the United States. Abbott estimates that less then 1% of U.S. users are affected.

🔞 In Darkness I Found You 🔞
Chapter 19
Tags: None!
A/N: This is it! The grand finale! Until I post bonus content that is
“I think you’re more anxious than me,” Jungkook looked over at Hobi. They were making their first official visit to a surrogacy center since both of them became certified.
“I keep going to the worst case scenario,” Hobi told him.
“Then let me do the talking,” Jungkook said. Hobi took a deep breath.
“Good idea,” he replied.
“Of course it is,” Jungkook laughed. The waiting room was clean and well lit. It was above ground with windows that let in plenty of light. That was the first positive Hobi saw. A petite Beta woman approached them.
“Good morning, gentleman. I’m Sana and I’ll be showing you around today. For legal purposes I have to confirm that you’re both Registered Inspectors,” she said. Hobi and Jungkook handed over their credentials. She checked something off on the tablet she was holding then returned them.
“If you’d follow me,” she said. They got up and trailed behind her.
“We’re the newest center in the system. There’s been a much higher demand for suburban and rural centers lately. Most of the Omegas are unhoused though a few do have their own residences. All of them are allowed to come and go as they please as long as they’re on time for their appointments. If they need assistance with travel, we also provide that. Every Omega is given a monthly stipend to cover unexpected expenses and personal purchases. That comes out of the fee we charge for our services. We provide maternity clothing and things like support belts, nursing tops, and any other orthopedic device recommended by the doctors,” she told them as they walked down a hallway. It was lined with doors, some opened and some closed.
“Are these the rooms?” Jungkook asked.
“Yes. All the Omegas are given their own bedroom and bathroom. There are no rules about keeping the doors open or closed. Some of them prefer privacy during later pregnancy,” she replied.
“How do you prevent multiple pregnancies within a few months?” Hobi looked over at Jungkook. This was where he knew better than any of them.
“Once an Omega gives birth, they’re given heat blockers for a full year from the date of the birth. After that, they can either place themselves on a reserve list or full availability,” Sana replied. “After 3 years, they’re asked to be put for full availability. We’ve found through research that heat blockers lose their potency by 75% at or after 3 years.”
“And what about Omegas with miscarriage issues?” this answer hinged on whether or not Jungkook would sign off on this facility.
“If an Omega miscarries twice then we do a full examination to determine the cause. If no physical cause can be determined then they’re given a hormone treatment to help them carry to term,” she replied. Jungkook nodded.
“The paperwork says this is a mixed facility?” Hobi finally spoke up.
“Yes, we have a 50 / 50 distribution of male and female Omegas. Medically there’s no difference, however some couples are more comfortable with a specific super-gender,” she explained.
“And you said no Alphas are allowed unless they’re picking up a pup or a medical professional?” Hobi continued.
“Correct. We also have a separate scent controlled area for the Alphas to give their samples for insemination. The Omegas have their implantation done at an approved hospital with a Registered Inspector present,” Sana had led them down to an area that required keycard access. Hobi and Jungkook looked at each other.
“This is our birthing area. We keep it controlled for the privacy and safety of the Omegas either scheduled for a c-section or in labor,” she smiled.
“What’s that?” Hobi asked. Sana looked over at the large tubs against one of the walls.
“Those are the birthing tubs. Some Omegas prefer to give birth in water. It’s best for ones carrying a litter,” she explained.
“I want one,” Jungkook chuckled.
“We’ve got a pool,” Hobi replied. Jungkook rolled his eyes. Sana led them around the rest of the building, the outdoor area, and exercise area.
“We offer prenatal exercise classes if the doctors have cleared them for activity,” she said as Hobi and Jungkook marveled at the fully equipped gym. Sana led them back to the lobby.
“Do you have any questions? I can always forward any issues to the director of this area,” she said. Hobi looked at Jungkook.
“I believe you’ve covered it all,” Jungkook replied. “I’m comfortable signing off if my colleague is.” Hobi nodded his agreement.
“Excellent! If you think of anything, don’t hesitate to contact us. Will we be seeing you next month?” she handed them the tablet to sign off.
“And every month after unless one of us is reassigned. Though I’ll be on maternity leave starting in June,” Jungkook said.
“Congratulations and if you need information on a birthing tub please let me know,” she smiled. Jungkook chuckled and Hobi gave him a dirty look.
“I will,” he smiled.
“So, how did it go?” Yoongi asked when Hobi got home.
“Jungkook signed off on it and I know he was in the same place you were so I’m fine with it,” Hobi replied.
“I told you that you could trust his opinion for both of us,” Yoongi poked him in the side.
“I feel like this is what your lives were supposed to be,” Hobi settled down on the bed next to Yoongi.
“Well if you’re happy with it, I was thinking we could have a surrogate,” Yoongi replied.
“But wouldn’t that only be my DNA?” Hobi asked.
“No, you fool. A surrogate only carries the pup of the parents. I’d have an egg retrieval and you’d donate your sperm. Then the embryo is implanted into the surrogate. Did you sleep through that part of the training?” Yoongi asked.
“I thought they were carrying their own pups!” Hobi replied. Yoongi did a literal facepalm.
“I think you might actually be stupid,” the Omega replied.
“Excuse you,” Hobi pouted.
“Anyway, if you’re amenable to the idea I thought once Jina is a little older we could use a surrogate,” Yoongi said.
“I’m open,” Hobi replied.
“Good,” Yoongi kissed him.
Two and a half years later, Hobi and Yoongi brought home another healthy baby girl. Jina and Sangyeon, Tae and Jungkook’s son, were thrilled to have a baby in the house.
“Are you happy?” Hobi asked late one night when they were up with Hyerin.
“Stupid happy,” Yoongi kissed him.
“Me too,” Hobi agreed.
“I love you, Jung Hoseok,”
“I love you too, Min Yoongi,”
