The coming days bring a cold wave and heavy rain, as the forecasts predict. I truly don’t know how we will cope. The rain will flood our fragile tent, and my little children will suffer from the biting cold. My heart breaks just thinking about them. All I hope is that our tent holds strong and doesn’t fail us—not for me, but for my children… for their warmth, their safety, and for them to have a small place to shield them from this harsh world

At this time in the displacement camps, Winter hasn’t started yet, but the heavy rains have already begun to flood our fragile tent in the displacement camp, leaving my family to face the cold and water seeping in from every side. My children suffer from the biting cold, with no safe place to play or study, while we struggle to stay warm and dry in an unforgiving environment. The harsh conditions of war compound our suffering, as we live every day in fear of airstrikes that could take our lives at any moment. The lack of food and clean water makes life even more difficult, while we face physical and psychological challenges that exceed our capacity to endure. We live without electricity or healthcare, trying to hold on to any glimmer of hope in the darkness surrounding us. Each day becomes a new test of survival, and we pray for the protection and safety of our children from the threat of death that follows us at every turn.

I am Ahmed and I live in Gaza. I am 19 years old. I was studying high school at Al-Mutanabbi School and I aspire to graduate and go to university to study Cyber Security I love technology But the war came and destroyed everything. I lost our house, my father and my mother. She had been suffering from cancer before the war, and because of the war her treatment deteriorated and she could no longer walk on her feet again.

I am now responsible for 4 of my siblings and I cannot bear all this responsibility at this young age I have no previous experience in managing family affairs, but I learned a lot because of the circumstances in the war.I have been taking good care of the little twins, Zain and Yazan.

Let us not forget that I am a bringer and I am trying hard to succeed despite the circumstances of war and the responsibilities that I bear and that exceed my capacity. Success is the only way to survive.

Israeli Occupation Forces cheer as a Palestinian neighborhood is destroyed to make room for a so-called “buffer zone” that will permanently displace Gazans from their homes, and make room for more illegal Israeli settlements.

Whether it’s euphemistically called a “buffer zone” or a “purification” process, please understand that Israel is illegally displacing Palestinian families from their homes. Temporary buffer zones will eventually become permanent Israeli settlements. This is land theft, plain and simple. This is what settler violence + settler colonialism looks like.

If indiscriminately killing civilians and intentionally destroying the homes of noncombatant civilians isn’t a war crime, it should be. Regardless, Israel needs to stop, or needs to be stopped.

Oh, you need to be safe from the scary freedom fighters? So that's why you murder whole families, leaving the survivors with nothing but a desire to prevent this from happening to their neighbours?

The people willing to fight and die for freedom are just so threatening that you have to give them more of a reason to fight?

You're scared that there will be violence against you so that's why you walk away from the few truce talks you bother to show up to?

If national security really was their priority they would take peaceful steps to ensure future security, rather than ensuring they have generations of enemies.

They don't want security. They want supremecy, and violence is their only means to get it.

Have you ever experienced winter and the chill it brings? We feel it now, but in a different and much harder way. The tent we live in offers no protection at all.

Each gust of wind pierces through us, carrying a bone-deep cold. The air hangs heavy, as if the world itself has turned its back on warmth, and all we have to shield ourselves is this thin tent, unable to withstand the harshness of this season.
