The two sides, represented by Iwaya and Wang Yi, China’s top diplomat and a former ambassador to Japan, reached a 10-point consensus at the 2nd meeting of High-Level Consultation Mechanism on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges between China and Japan, the first such meeting in five years, according to the Chinese foreign ministry.

Facilitate mutual visits of high-level artistic groups and support the translation and publication of classic works from both countries. 7. enhance exchange and cooperation between media outlets and think tanks, playing a positive role in bilateral relations, and focus on improving public opinion and the media environment. Support both sides in developing exchange and cooperation in new media circles, and encourage positive content creators from both countries to interact with each other. 8. conduct exchanges between women's organizations to share experiences on promoting gender equality and common development. The Chinese side invites the Japanese side to participate in the Global Women's Summit commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Beijing World Conference on Women. 9. leverage the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo into a platform for exchange and friendship between the peoples of both countries. The Chinese side supports Japan in hosting the event, while the Japanese side welcomes China's participation and will provide assistance for the construction and operation of the China Pavilion. 10. hold the 3rd meeting of the High-Level Consultation Mechanism on People-to-People and Cultural Exchanges between China and Japan.

In true Obsidian Entertainment fashion, you carve your path through Arcadia, a colony teeming with factions, intrigue, and chaos. The world is literally on fire. War, famine, the senseless slaughter of children and catastrophic climate disasters. Add in a 🇺🇸 election that will further shape the future, to say I’m impervious to the name calling and puerile rhetoric from the chattering chorus would be an understatement.

But, but Sam, Caitriona.

I’ve been asked about my absence here and all of the usual questions, considerate and downright rude. Tumblrinas who think they know me giving updates on my status in the Apps and DM here with zero substantive information. It’s 🙄

What do I see here.

The same tired and redundant tropes. Years old videos and photos. Years old reblogs. Its cringeworthy. It’s so embarrassing. Relationships evolve as do the people in the said relationship. They are not the same young, naive in the first flush of love people.

I’m not interested in 7B. 7A was not great. I’m not interested in hanging around waiting for the same old and never different promo, interviews and fan engagement. And I’m absolutely not going to be here for S8, at the end of 2025. The filler until then will be the same old, as mentioned above.

Stale ancient history on repeat. If we are all still here and the world isn’t at war my attention will be elsewhere.

Observations. Sam has fully embraced his Chris Hemsworth era. Multiple rings, necklaces, bracelets and those shirts. Next up perhaps a fitness health hub broadcast channel , similar but different, moving away from MPC. It will happen. We all know that MPC is on notice. He will need to shed the diehard Sam only’s who are in MPC. He will start pitching to get male fans and incorporate it with the booze business. Chris is very much his muse.

Will it be successful? Only if he takes the risky route and moves away from easy money that are the booze buying diehard fans and the Cons. Difficult to walk away from easy money though.

Caitriona will struggle to get roles that aren’t the wife,mother in a co-star role. Perhaps she will do what other older actress have done in their 40’s. Have a production company, hustle to get great material and produce the type of interesting and original material that could keep her active in the industry.

She will be up against it though. Nicole Kidman is everywhere right now ( who remembers that bitchy comment and parody that Caitriona made about Nicole? It may have already come back to bite.) Reese Witherspoon is a powerhouse and is not just producing but starring in many projects. They are just two in a competitive landscape of 40/50 something actresses hustling. Maybe she will embrace the other genre of the moment, podcasts. Idea- she and Garance could enter the arena talking about doppelgängers, fashion and beauty. I’d listen 😉

Caitriona will ultimately be forced to do what she has hated doing these past few years, be active in SM engagement and communication with her fan base. Add in balancing motherhood with an older child that can’t be hidden forever.

I wish both the very best success. They are fortunate to have financial security and can afford to be considered and cautious moving forward.

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Isabella of Corrilea, is the current heir to the throne, become heir apparent after her mothers ascension to the throne in 2010, when the Crown Princes was 10 years old. I'm not really in a festive mood this time, but I do wish you guys a good 2025, filled with nice memories and people you love. It's gonna be a tough year, but rememer to be tougher.

Also, I'm finally playing Metal Gear Rising again to actually finish it this time, and upon watching videos to recall the whole story, I found people talking about Raiden's character and one thing stood out to me, I felt like sharing.

The person said, it's like Raiden realizes at the middle of the game that the whole "I'm a hero and I use my sword for justice" thing doesn't work for him precisely because of the system he's fighting against. It's a system of violence breeding violence - and if he's not tougher than the ones he's fighting against, he will die. Hence why he goes full Reaper at a certain point.

Buuuuut here's the thing. What makes him different is that yes, he was molded by the system to be a killing machine who enforces his will upon others by being stronger - by literal force. But his heart, what he believes in, will shape how he will use all that violence and strength.

His wish for a better world for those he loves and for no one else to go through what he has been through will shape who he will use his force against. He won't use it upon the weak, but upon those delirious strong assholes who want to use their power to get rid of everyone else they don't like. *cough* Senator Armstrong *cough*

He's not exactly a textbook hero, he's pretty fucked up the poor guy, but he can choose how he'll use that awful thing the world gave him and how he was shaped to be.

What stood out about this for me is: sometimes we do want to sit on a moral high horse and say we won't get as low as our enemies and etc. But, sometimes, we have to take a stand and what is moral is more of a grey line than a black and white situation.

I'm not here inciting violence nor telling everyone to go full Ripper Mode and sucker punch the first one they disagree with. What I'm saying, though, is: if you find yourself in a situation where injustice is happening, don't stay around and get stuck in the morals of what will be your perfect reaction. By all means, use diplomacy and words first, but if that doesn't work, know that bigoted people won't be on the "high moral ground" and not resort to violence - and really, it's always right and morally correct to punch a nazi.

In 2025, be your best. Stay strong and be brave. Use your morals and use diplomacy to solve your issues. But if the situation calls for it, punch a nazi (figurativelly or literally). Sometimes that's the only way of making the world better for the ones to come.

I really do believe these people are only brave enough to be so vocal and powerful nowadays because they forgot what's like to be scared to defend their broken ideologies. It's time for THEM to remember to be scared of being jerks, not for US to be scared of being ourselves on the streets and living happy lives.

Also, I haven't played any other Metal Gear game before and haven't finished MGR even though I know the full plot, so I can't give a more fleshed out analysis of Mr. Lightning Bolt here and I may have gotten something wrong. This is just my view on it so far, Metal Gear fans please don't kill me.

Also, I'm that kind of girl to see him go full berserk and "call me Rose and take me to the stars, you gorgeous bastard".

Dead Boy Detectives/ Sandman Season 2 speculation

Sandman Season two is going to be Season of Mists and a Game of You and (presumably) The Song of Orpheus/ Thermidor. That is a LOT of story to cover in a limited amount of time, though I've been thinking about it and I think I can see how they can do it without hurting the story. Anyway. My point is, the most obvious part of the story to put on the chopping block is the Dead Boy Detectives part of SoM. Sure a cameo would be cool, but they would have to write a new storyline and rejig the whole thing. (Charles died in 1989/1990 both in the comics when the original SoM happened, and in the tv show. Now SoM is happening in 2024 or 2025 or whatever. The timeline doesn't work, Edwin and Charles have already been together for 30+ years by the time TV SoM rolls around).

They already showed us an artfully adapted backstory in the Dead Boy Detectives tv show that took all the important elements from that SoM issue anyway. Would it be awesome if Charles and Edwin showed up in Sandman 2 to try to handle the deluge of restless dead or hunt a specific demon or something? Sure. Do I think it's going to happen... No not really. Maybe though!

But what I am wondering is if they will in any way acknowledge the ramifications of SoM in Dead Boy Detectives Season 2? Because that would be absolutely fantastic. To just randomly have the apocalypse happen for like a week and then have it stop. Even if it was just one self contained episode ala 24 hours, it would be extraordinary. And they could use all of the horrific and brilliant material from the comic that got left out. All of those terrible and sad ghosts. That scene with the woman's baby and limbo, etc. (Worth it just to have a cameo of Death running around in her 80's athletic wear lmfao).

I do love in the comics the subversion of following Dream around, who really doesn't give AF about the literal Hell on Earth that's happening because it's not his job, so instead we're focusing on his inconvenient house guests. It makes me laugh every time and Neil Gaiman is a genius. Any other comics writer in that time would have spent a million issues on the horrific nightmare that was Hell on Earth, and the various slug fests involved in putting it to rights. (Which is fun too, I'm not above explosions or fist fights lol, but there's something special about this). Instead we are treated to awkward diplomacy at a dinner party with faint screams in the background lol. The one place where the story really dipped back in to show the ramifications of Lucifer's abdication was the Dead Boy issue. Speaking of which, they ARE going to have to come up with something to fill that narrative gap... hmmm. Maybe a cameo isn't that outlandish a hope...

a favourite excerpt of your writing: this bit from A Short, Sharp Lesson, my future megs meets baby megs transformers fic. i like the rhythm i hit; i like the seeds it sows for future megs within baby megs's viewpoint; i like the stupid little wordplays that i carefully do not flag at all, which are imo a huge hallmark of my fic just because i can't resist slipping in jokes literally wherever possible. later in this fic i describe a Cybertonian earthquake as a "geological segfault." get fucked.

Cybertron's crust shifts constantly. Mineshafts open and close at unpredictable rates, petrified energon rising and falling with the motion of the planet's internal mechanisms.

The miners all have their own theories as to why. The secular transformists talk about stellar phenomena. The devout talk about Primus: our god is an uneasy sleeper, they say. The Prime Mover isn't like us, hooked up to a charge cable on our sprues and runners in the locker room between shifts. Our god is the One True Infinite Motion Machine, the First Generator who brings life-giving minerals to the surface for the faithful and who keeps Cybertron's magnetic field active for His children.

D-16 knows there's more to it than that. Primus is testing them on their every shift. Are His children smart, fast, determined, lucky? And every shift of his life so far D-16 has answered yes, yes, yes, yes.

how do you hope to grow this year: mmmmm i'm worried about the quality of my prose! getting words down is good but i'm concerned that i only remember how to write very plainly. i miss the poetry of my older work.

any projects you’re looking to starting (or finishing) this year: i have 1.5 chapters to go on my current TMNT fic and i'm looking forward to knocking the rest out over the weekend! it's been so much fun working at a fast pace again. this TMNT fic is mostly people talking, and i'd like to do something with more plot/action. i was reminded recently of how much i like writing fight choreography! more of that sort of thing.

i have two wips on the go for TF1: one "what if we stopped the underlying tragedy of megop with the power of physical comedy" that's about 1/3 drafted, and one "what if the underlying tragedy of megop got worse with timeloops" that's outlined and not drafted.
