Summer dreaming. This piece is probably my most difficult to photograph to date. I was really inspired to create a piece like this after paddling along the river and seeing countless damselflies and dragonflies last year. It was only as we moved slowly along the river that damselflies and dragonflies would then fill the sky, it was such a beautiful sight, and would highly recommend it if you have the opportunity. So based on that day I wanted to create a little slice of it, and I felt these treats worked perfectly for it. "Esta casinha ficava em São João de Meriti. O terreno foi adquirido pelo meu avô no final da década de 50, início de 60.

Meu avô veio de Carangola (MG) pro Rio à procura de uma vida melhor e criou as filhas sozinho. Apesar de ter sido uma infância de escassez, esta casa e seus elementos trazem uma memória de felicidade, brincadeiras, pé no chão e família reunida.

Momentos estes que só ficaram na memória, pois só tínhamos duas fotos dessa casa que precisou ser demolida, mas que sempre era lembrada pela minha mãe como "meu barraco", "barraco do meu pai, "barraco do velho Joaquim".

Hoje, graças ao seu delicado trabalho, ficará em destaque na nova casa que foi construída no mesmo terreno e jamais será esquecida!" (Luana Suter)
