thinking about the very real possibility that the black part on the head of wizardmon's staff is meant to be a digital screen. i always assumed it was a hole, like something had burst out of it, but there's that one reference book doodle where wiz is staring intently at it... and the badge that DEFINITELY made it a screen... and the tamagotchi it was based on do have that little cracked/exploded marking AROUND the screen.... and witchelny magic is always described as an advanced PROGRAMMING language, so digital wizard having digital staff is not really strange at all.

also the more i think about it the more i think the original design of wizardmon was a normal organic flesh/blood one with ONLY a stitched mouth and none anywhere else, and the cloth anime version was just a bad (in the sense that it wasn't accurate, i actually HIGHLY prefer it) interpretation, similar to weregarurumon losing his tail and plesiomon gaining a random black forehead marking. also, watanabe gave a LOT of digimon (see meramon, brachiomon, babamon, etc) stitched mouths just for the aesthetic and THEY are clearly not plush-like, after all, nor is wizardmon a puppet or undead type as one would naturally infer if he WERE 'covered' in stitches as other fans like to project for some reason.

So vote on any of these fandoms and I'll talk about my OC for the top 3 that I created for each of them. This is Part I of who knows what. This will keep me occupied during October while I write fanfics for publication in November on AO3.

I love Chiaki is a ballerina in your future Au. Don't ask but I thought in GG Calamara danced like a balerina and I thought about it back then but also Rana had balerina poses like when she bends to make the mist

I won’t hide the Calamaramon from GG actually sealed that headcanon in my mind with all those twirls looking like the pirouettes of a ballerina…? But I mean look at this, absolutely yes💕💕💕.

And I also get the Ranamon thing, yes. There was a fanfiction on EFP (italians’ fanfiction site lmaoo) where Ranamon’s movements were described like the ones of a ballerina and YESSS, she absolutely performs pliè, for example, but also when she raises her hands to join them in the air wwwwwwww, her gait, her poses WWWWWWWW. She’s such a graceful being.

Tbh I chose ballet for MTTCI Chiaki, over her being a soprano like in the main timeline of my story, because I was fascinated by the fact in late XIX and XX century’s literature the figure of the ballerina is a symbol of vacuity and deceit. She both represents the fascination of art and its artifice. Since Ranamon is a veeeery vain, to the limits of extreme shallowness, I did want Chiaki to be like that to create a faint connection.

Moreover, being a boring person loving these kinds of motifs, I often like playing with the concept of the illusion embodied by life on a stage. So, MTTCI Chiaki is a ballerina but also an actress, Teruo is more a theatre man ( but he’s also a countertenor) Junpei is a tenor fooling around with both theatre and acting and voice acting for children stuff maybe, as well, because talk to the man about kids and he will be happy to oblige.

Chiaki as a soprano was too great to trash it away tho lol. I wish I could have been able to add Izumi and make the stage trio a quartet, but Izumi just…Threw her possibilities into modelling in canon. Funny as freak if Junzumi would meet again as actors in a romantic film. THAT’S another idea I would like to play with someday. I MEAN THERE IS A WORLD OF AUs I CAN COME UP WITH. WHY BEING BORING.

Kaito actually does have social media, but he uses it so rarely that all of his accounts have been taken over by Dracmon. Whenever he does bother using it, he gets confused as to why a bunch of edgy 10 year olds are telling him why his Hot Takes™ of shows he's never watched are wrong and that he should kill himself. He didn't know what was really going on for a solid 3 years.

I have this little idea rattling around in my head, I had to get it down so it wouldn't leave me. It's a little story where it's like Pokemon Horizons (sorta), but the crew is made of mostly Fallers, traveling around doing odd jobs for the new world they call home. I'm calling it Pokemon Sky Trekkers (it's a working title). Here's some of the characters I've been kicking around in my head:

Hanji Zoe (Attack on Titan)- Leader of the group, landed in the Lental region, lived there for at least a year. Pokemon- Ditto, Golurk

Dogday (Poppy Playtime)- Vice Leader (of sorts), also landed in Lental not long after Hanji did. Pokemon- Drampa

Hazel (One Piece OC, an elderly ram Mink)- Shipright/Engineer, landed in Johto and lived there for seven years. Pokemon- Ampharos (with Mega Stone)

Aoi (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex)- There computer expert (mostly because a good chunk of the crew are from more primitive worlds and he's the closest to an expert they have) Also landed in Johto, was there for two years. Pokemon- Porygon2, Sunflora, Zoroark

Dog, Donkey, Cat and Rooster (The Grimm Variations episode 5 "The Town Musicians of Bremen")- They fill a lot of roles for the crew, Dog and Donkey are the cooks, while Dog also sometimes acts as a back up captain and Donkey helps with Hazel with maintaining the ship, Rooster doesn't have a set role but has claimed the lookout tower (no, the irony is not lost on her) and Cat... well extra hands always help right? Pokemon- (Dog) Lucario, Arcanine, Armorouge (Donkey) Mudsdale, Zebstrika, Machamp (Cat) Delcatty, Purugly, Aromatisse (Rooster) Blaziken, Pidgeot, Mimikyu

Quinn (Owl House OC, a genderfluid biped demon, mainly using Beastkeeping, Potion, Bard and Healing magic, has an opossum palisman named Scraps)- the groups magic expert/ doctor. Landed in Unova, lived there for 4 months Pokemon- Serperior, Swoobat, Watchog, Seismitoad (Shiny)

Jim "Crocodile" Cook (Yugioh GX)- Acts as another researcher for the crew, landed in Galar, was there for 3 months. Pokemon- Krookodile (It's his pet crocodile Shirley, turned into a Pokemon), Relicanth, Gigalith, Tyrantrum

Axel Brodie (Yugioh GX)- Acts as another muscle, alongside Donkey, lander in Galar, along with Jim. Pokemon- Turtonator, Magmortar, Alolan Marowak, Camerupt.

Anderson - the only PokeEarth native on the crew, a member of the Diamond Clan, he joined the crew mainly as his clan duty duty to keep an eye out on Fallers (especially so many in one place) Pokemon- Buizel, Hisuian Lilligant, Raichu, Azumarill, Garchomp, Glalie.

June (From a regular world in the 2010s, where Pokemon isn't a thing)- At only 7 years old, she's one of the youngest Fallers in recorded history. Landed in Sinnoh, lived with Anderson for 5 months, and clings to him like glue. Pokemon- Yanma (Shiny)

Travis and Cody (From a regular world in 1998, where Pokemon was just starting out)- as previously stated, he's from a world like ours, but he's not the one with meta-knowledge, it's his 8 year old son Cody. Joined the crew as a trainer with a full team Landed in Kanto, lived there for over a year. Pokemon- (Travis) Blastoise, Fearow, Bellosom, Sandslash, Flareon, Electivire (Cody) Axew

Ika (Legend of Zelda BotW/ TotK OC, a child Rito)- Quinn's honorary little sister, landed in Unova and lived there for 3 months. Pokemon- Castform

Oscar (From an Old West esque world, still debating if it's the same world as the Bremen ladies)- a bounty hunter who was eebydeebied into the Pokemon world as a Seviper. Landed in Hoenn but was constantly wandering Poke- Japan for 3 years . He's essentially Rattlesnake Jake from Rango, minus the gattling gun tail and us slightly more moral (emphasis on slightly)

Gammamon (Digimon, not the same one from Ghost Game btw)- Pretty much the baby of the crew, found by Jim and Axel in Galar

Shuichi Saihara, Maki Harukawa and Himiko Yumeno (Danganronpa V3)- The most recent members of the crew, joined for their new found wanderlust after being trapped from the Killing Game, landed in Kanto (specifically in Indigo Academy from Horizons, the Headmistress took them in for bit evn though they weren't official students, even gave them there Starters) Pokemon- (Shuichi) Decidueye, Stoutland, Male Meowstic, Umbreon, Altaria, Flapple (Maki) Inteleon, Crobat, Weavile, Leavanny, Clefable, Scizor (Himiko) Delphox, Yellow flower Florges, Mr. Mime, Luxray, Smeargle, Mienshao

I'm in a weird conundrum.

(Epilogue rant below. Nothing good to say about it.)

The more material post-02 is released, the more the epilogue makes sense for Tai, the pettier my complaints are, the more I hate it. Literally- it's just spite after Kizuna. And if the upcoming project is what everyone says it is- connecting Kizuna/The Beginning to the epilogue- then I have literally nothing to bitch about except small shit that only matters to me.

It's just Tai's hair and inability to run around in his chosen profession. One is because his hair is fluffy and a defining part of his design. The other is because I have a headcanon that he has a lot of energy and doesn't like staying still for long. So he fidgets and paces and things like that (this headcanon is sixteen years old).

Both those things are just personal preferences. They have nothing to do with "factory mode" Tai or the trajectory of his character. And yet my hatred digivolves like I'm trying to speedrun from DigiEgg to Megidramon.

(I love how that metaphor only makes sense in this fandom lol.)

Like, usually I put canon above fanon. I don't like getting lost in my own headcanon delusions because that makes it harder to do meta, write fic, and interact with the fan community. Hell, I know the epilogue could have been the ending of Adventure if not for 02 existing! It was intended from the very start. Not whipped up at random, not made for the dub- a conscious choice by the writers. But can I just Thanos snap this one thing as a treat?

...I guess I feel like I should like the epilogue now that it has backup from tri. and Kizuna, and hating it at this point is just petty and dumb. But I still don't?

-Tai listens to pop while in the car(if he ever gets one)

-Matt has an assortment of several music genres for his car rides.

-Izzy would just listen to classical/Beethoven music.

-T.K would listen to hip-hop.

-Joe cannot listen to anything because he'll get distracted and run himself into a tree or something.

-Kari would be the one to surprisingly listen to heavy metal.

-Mimi would listen to Jazz.

-Sora listens to instrumental blues as it for some ironic reason is relaxing for her.

Hey you, did you remember these two kids here?

(ignore the bully, i kicked him out of the pic, he's not allowed to be here)

So, the idea is something the server and I had been cooking yesterday. Last night. When we noticed those two kids are too similar to the kids going to Rui's party on his 8th birthday (Feb 29 2000) and we thought...

"Well, it doesn't seem like Ukkomon was controlling everyone 24/7 like Rui's parents... What if those two legitimately were Rui's friends at school? They seem to always have been his classmates since kindergarten..."

(※ I know there's a 3rd boy in the b-day party scene, but I don't think he's the bully, or the kid in the scene where Rui is greeting a girl in red backpack while they go to school together?)

And knowing that Rui was living in denial, believing that everything that had happened in his childhood was fake, or created by Ukkomon… Friends and I suspected that not everything was in fact fake or manipulated by Ukkomon. So this means, there would be legit connections Rui made while his self-esteem was boosted by Ukkomon doing “this and that” around. And you can see that in the kindergarten scene, Ukkomon is facing the bully. He’s not even controlling the other two kids in-scene.

If this girl and boy depicted in those two scenes kept being in touch with Rui before things went south… This means they would be… concerned with him suddenly disappearing from nowhere, or cutting bonds with them. They possibly heard the news of him getting hurt, parents suddenly passing away and him having to be taken by relatives.

And since the part of relatives in-movie is very very VAGUE, I took the idea that this doesn’t mean they were bad as his mother, but at the same time he was completely avoiding people in general. Because of “you know what” hidden under the eyepatch and his bangs.

But back to those two kiddos here… Yeah, we suspect they did like Rui with or without Ukkomon’s influence. And if they lost contact with him after that incident… One day they would simply get to meet him again. Maybe… Because they spotted a GIANT egg singing “HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR RUI~” and hatching into something that looked like that funny sea butterfly critter which was always with Rui?

Yeah... Yeah. And considering the idea of “not everything in your childhood was Ukkomon’s byproduct, or an illusion”… The server and I, while I was going on a spree of “HEY LET’S MAKE OCs SO THEY CAN BEFRIEND RUI AND LET HIM HAVE HIS OWN CIRCLE LIKE THE 02 KIDS!” (because if he were just attached to Daisuke & co, Rui’s entire character arc & growth would’ve been pointless) and tagging some cool friends for ideas and teamwork on building– i mean, introducing new friends to Rui again… We made this discovery and thought: Well, why not use those background characters instead?

You might remember that I adopted the Maki-Daigo’s team back in time, and then Shai named those three kiddos based on Daigo’s name and their assigned Holy Beast partners, right? And then quite recently, i think last year (?), Shiha and I were talking about this same group and imagining a whole fanmade prequel series exploring those five’s potential – which led me to do a new version of my ol’ redesigns for them + do a soft-redesign Maki & Daigo too to follow the style/aes, and i gave them personalities + roles!

Today, we got to do the same thing again. And we cooked something for post-movie events for Rui & Ukkomon ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ 

And yeah, i got Shai’s help again 💜 because naming things are not my forte, and she did a rough Adult version mugshots of them too…!!

So we got this idea… Of those kids reconnecting with Rui in some sort of post-movie event/headcanon. We gave them names, and a digimon partner for one of them.

Their names are Nakajima Ayame ( 中島あやめ ) and Koyama Hiroomi ( 小山広臣 ) 

Shai named them, except the first name for Ayame which came from a friend in-server. 

Here's some deets about them made by moi (^・ω・^ )

Ayame is a nice girl who doesn’t like to watch people getting into fights, so she keeps wishing to be able to have something in hands that could heal people. With this in mind, she decided to pursue a medical career – at least something little and not big, something like being a nurse to assist people in need, taking care of them. Before Ukkomon, she was a little nervous to talk with Rui, because he would always be the target of the bullies and she feared getting involved in those fights. But once Ukkomon appeared, she witnessed that strange creature standing up for Rui… She got courage enough to talk with him, and become one of his first friends at the kindergarten. She would always be carrying a first aid kit with her in her young days, helping Rui and Hiroomi. She might not like ugly fights, but she can stand up for others a little once she has gotten older, and she keeps simply checking on others like a good friend. She still uses pigtails, even if lower now as an adult.

Hiroomi is a good, funny and supportive friend type, but he had some issues of being a little coward. He could witness Rui getting bullied and would want so hard to go there and stop them, but his body would just freeze and he couldn’t even say anything. Yeah he had the trouble of not being able to help others due to fear. Ukkomon worked as some sort of role model to go and make a difference. He wouldn’t get into a fist fight with anyone, but he would simply call them out and keep cheering Rui up. His funny aura was quite captivating too, and he definitely noticed he and Rui had something in common which was them being quite non-confrontational, except Hiroomi was able to voice his needs and feelings quite better than Rui. When Rui suddenly stopped going to school in March 2003, he tried to ask everyone around about his friend, with Ayame’s help too, and this is how they learned by rumors that something had happened to Rui. But he and Ayame never had success in contacting Rui for a long LONG time. When he turned an adult he decided to dye his bangs, and adopted a more stylish appearance. He doesn’t know what he wants to pursue as a career, but his part-time job is just being a delivery boy. He likes vehicles though, and his scooter is his best friend (besides Ayame, of course).

Out of those two, Ayame is a Chosen Child who got a digimon partner later, but she never managed to talk with Rui about it because it happened after the said incident in 2003 – not exactly a day or two after it, and yes in the same year, but past March.

Ayame’s partner is a Cutemon (she/her). Which reflects her inner desire to be able to heal others, since Cutemon is a digimon who’s not a fighter and yes a healer. Cutemon never managed to evolve but she does not feel she’s the type to fight tough enemies, so she sticks by just healing everyone with her healing magic skills. She’s quite timid and resembles the child Ayame to some extent, but the difference is she doesn’t fear befriending others when she gets an interest in them and is willing to form connections.

So the initial draft of a possible fic or more posts about those two and Rui-kun is:

The moment BigUkkomon hatched, Ayame was leaving her shift at the local hospital and got a message from Hiroomi telling her to immediately check this video he just made from the mysterious big egg while he was around the Tokyo Tower area, asking “Isn’t this big guy familiar to you??”

Cutemon wasn’t sure if she had seen that digimon before, but Ayame did notice it resembled Ukkomon. The weird singing also mentioned someone named ‘Rui’ and she couldn’t believe this was a coincidence at all. Neither Hiroomi, of course. It was the first time they heard about their old friend who had disappeared a decade ago.

Once things were solved – Rui made amends with Ukkomon, Ukkomon and the supposed greater thing connected to the digimon decided that the digivices weren’t needed anymore, and all the things Ukkomon had messed it up before were ‘undone’ (you know, the eye lol), Rui went back home with the alarm clock-sized DigiEgg and started to think what he and Ukkomon would do next time, when the egg hatches.

He did kept in touch with Daisuke and the others, but he didn’t want to keep bothering them all the time (he would often get invited by Daisuke to try the new dishes from the ‘Motomiya Ramen’ menu, or get any of those six send him tips about the digimon and some funny stories involving that group and digimon cases… Or get Hikari simply sending him a message asking how he was doing) or feel like he was ‘bothering’ them.

And then he got his own strange… visit to the Dark Ocean (the name he heard from Ken when Ken explained about that place to him) which just made him a little awkward to talk with the other four and their digimon for a while. With the exception of Daisuke and Ken, who weren’t slandering him nonstop in that place, he just started to work more about his own insecurities and that sense of guilt. Well, at least after building some courage he got a little closer from Hikari, Miyako, Takeru and Iori. Still he felt this group had known each other for a whole decade and… He didn’t feel it was right to disturb them and their long term relationships.

While he did still get in touch with Daisuke (because you can’t simply stop talking with Daisuke, he likes to be friends with EVERYONE, and he will definitely be there for ANYONE as well), he tried to form his own connections with other people by his own. It didn’t work very well because sadly he had become too awkward and afraid of people thanks to that eye that he would run out of things to hold a conversation longer. He wasn’t antisocial, but he felt completely lost. Daisuke kept inviting him to do things together, even if it were just the two of them and V-mon. He felt his friendship with Daisuke was the strongest of the ones he made with those six, so he would end up confessing a few of his frustrations to him.

Daisuke then asked what if he didn’t try to talk with some of the old people he met before, even before things went bad in this life… Like, some old friends from school. Rui did like that idea, but there was one problem: He had cut bonds with everyone since then, believing that all of those friendships he had were just fabricated by Ukkomon’s power… And he kept too isolated from everyone with the fear of his relatives and high school classmates calling him a ‘freak’ for having that digimon eye slapped in his face.

That was indeed a big big problem. But Daisuke wanted to believe that, deep down, something in Rui’s childhood was legitimate and real. Which didn’t seem to make sense to Rui at all, but he didn’t want to make Daisuke sad.

Then, one day… Someone named Ayame managed to get his phone number…? The text sent to his inbox said they were classmates since kindergarten. He wondered if this was a scam mail or something, but it didn’t include a fishy link embedded in the message…

Oh? It’s been so long since I’ve made that post that I’ve fallen out of my appmon phase, but I’m happy to fall back in for awhile to talk about him!

First off, like I said in the tags of the post this person commented on, my oc is more of a headcanon character of sorts, and I have included him in my appmon Gacha meme videos, so if you watch those, you might understand him, but you don’t have to.

Anyway, my oc/hc character is based off Yuujin, and (spoilers if you haven’t finished appmon) his backstory is basically that Hajime and Rei (though Rei does it begrudgingly, only because Hajime, Haru and Hackmon are telling him to) bring back Yuujin by grabbing the last latest version of Yuujin before YJ-14, so probably like, YJ-12 or something. And everyone’s happy bc Yuujin’s back and Haru & Ai are happy.

Though, of course, our revived version of Yuujin, is younger than Yuujin. And because model YJ-14 is stuck and dead in the dark web, they can’t get back those few years of memories back.

I imagine that in the hypothetical second season where revived!Yuujin exists, he would be suffering in the background from all the stress and inconsistencies that came from missing those years. I mean, he suddenly gained a whole new friend group, two of which (plus those not in the know, like Watson) would be a few years older than him. Also, not to mention all of the weird shit that went down during the appmon runtime, like, the appmon. And the fact that he’s an AI. And the fact he died. So, yeah.

I like to think that Yuu(our revived Yuujin) would be living with the Katsura’s, mainly because Rei still doesn’t fully trust him, and they(Rei, Hajime and Hackmon) need to be there in case Yuu’s old Leviathan code kicks back in, so, that’s fun (I will admit that I feel bad for Rei though, cause now he has to deal with being, basically the owner of a orphanage at this point)

And, anyways, after slowly showing the buildup of, everything, on Yuu’s back, he runs away.

Everyone immediately is worried (even Rei, bc by that point, while he might not admit it, Yuu grew on him) and starts looking for him.

They eventually find him, and that’s when Yuu tells them all (or at least, those who found him) that he feels, like he’s not even “Yuujin” anymore. Because, sure, he may look and act like Yuujin, but he doesn’t have those core memories that all his ‘friends’ keep bringing up. He doesn’t even remember meeting them! And it makes him feel, like he’s not “Yuujin.”

That’s when Yuu starts going by “Yuu” or, more specifically, Yuu Katsura (bc yes).

Everyone apologizes for making him feel that way and Yuu comes back. Only, a little different, as he’s now in an even younger body, so instead of being Astora’s age, he now looks like he’s Hajime’s.

Why? (Bc when I first came up with him he was Hajime’s age before I realized it didn’t make sense) bc he wanted to try and get a “fresh start” at being who he decided he wanted to be, and not “Yuujin”

Of course, his identity crisis isn’t over by that point, in fact it had only really just begun, and the rest of his story is Yuu trying to be comfortable in his own skin.

(And when he’s finally getting a hold of himself, Yuujin comes back-)

And yeah, that’s basically Yuu’s backstory. Sorry if that didn’t make much sense, or felt out of order. But yeah, that’s my appmon oc/hc character. I do have an actual appmon oc, being an oc who’s an appmon, and she’s Ai’s buddy! Though I still haven’t figured out her design just yet.

"Digimon Ghost Game" rewrite idea.

Yvonne (an FC of mine) will also be in the story. There was no fourth member for the "Ghost Game" group and while Espimon serves as the cyan of the CMYK color model, he became a second partner Digimon to Hiro in canon.

Since this Digimon recently received a proper Ultimate and Mega form, I'm letting him go to my FC in this. He's initially not thrilled about being partnered with a perky purple-clad girl, but they become friends once they properly sync up.

So I was finishing up the Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot, and this kid looked like Ethan/Gold from Pokemon and now my entire head canon is, he changed hats so no one would recognize him. And I asked our bot to write up a story for him as a background character

I'm dragging us all down with this one. The word needs to be spread of his existence.

Miu makes friendship bracelets for everyone with the main colors of their Digimon. Aoi has white and pink; Kaito has red, green, and black; Takuma has yellow and green; etc etc

She even tries making some for the digimon, but they frequently need to get repaired or replaced. Fortunately, she doesn’t mind and continues to make more.

For Shakomon, they have a necklace with Miu’s favorite beads and pearls. Nobody knows how but when Shakomon evolves into Shellmon/Mermaimon/Marin Angemon, they’re still wearing the necklace in those forms too.
