It’s obvious they’re desperate to make Lyanna “worthy” of Rhaegar in every way—her age, her mind, her swordsmanship, even her titles. They’re bending over backwards to make this ship look like an equal match — a mutual choice — as if Lyanna was choosing Rhaegar just as much as he was choosing her, not just standing there waiting to be picked. Deep down, they know a man’s love is the most unreliable thing of all.

It’s hilarious if Elia defenders hadn’t brought up the title, Lyanna stans wouldn’t have even thought about it.Elia was born a princess, and a crown princess by marriage. She didn’t have to earn it through spectacle or scandal. It was her birthright, and she carried it with dignity,just like Targaryens. Elia lived the role—married for alliance, bore the heirs, faced the fallout she didn’t even cause.

Cheering a mystery knight, only to find out they lit the fuse for a kingdom’s undoing. Just stop using the crowd’s cheers as some grand moral endorsement. They applauded Lyanna because she had skill in the lists, nothing more. If people were cheering for the Knight of the Laughing Tree, does that really mean they were cheering Lyanna as the people's princess?By that logic, every jousting knight would qualify as the people’s princess.

Let’s hope Lyanna herself didn’t take a few cheers as proof she owned the whole world,like they gave her some kind of all-access pass to do whatever she pleased without carrying any of the weight that should’ve come with it.
