Kehidupan berbisnis tidak terpisah dengan pelayanan penginjilan, dan lihat Genproland sebagai ladang. Priskila & Akwila (pembuat tenda) diusir dari Roma & tiba di korintus (yahudi & romans), disitu mereka bertemu Paulus yg sedang dalam kebimbangan setelah tidak melihat hasil besar dari penginjilannya di Atena.

BAB 12 PELAKSANAAN

Tuhan bekerja secara nyata, akibatnya orang yang tidak percaya secara nyata tidak akan menerima jawaban.

Kita gabisa nonton saja tapi harus terlibat dalam rencana Tuhan yang sangat besar.

-> saat Tuhan membelah Laut Teberau menunjukkan mukjizat di padang gurun, tetapi orang yg tidak percaya mati bersama keturunan mereka di padang gurun. Namu orang yg benar2 percaya mengalmi keselamatan & mukjizat Tuhan.

Tuhan menjawab doa yang sejati, akibatnya jika tidak benar-benar percaya, tidak akan menerima jawaban

-jika pendeta & misionaris tidak mengetahui rahasia penginjilan, mereka akhirnya akan gagal

-jika pekerja gereja & jemaat tidak tau rahasia penginjilan, maka mereka akan jadi hamba orang yang tidak percaya

-jika mengetahui rahasia penginjilan, seseorang akan melihat jalan untuk dibebaskan dari segala penderitaan

DARK COOKING CHOCOLATE BATTLE versi ngueh

Back to another baking ingredients battle versi NGUEH. Kali ini kita aduin dark cooking chocolate alias DCC. Bahan ini biasa dipake buat bikin brownies, kukis, bolu-boluan yang pengen cita rasa coklat rich kerasa.

DCC ini termasuk kategori coklat compound yang mana komposisinya udah bercampur gula dan lemak, beda ya sama couverture yang cukup pure kakao di dalamnya. Yaudah hayu atuh kita mulai battlenya!

Colatta

Paling pertama ada si Colatta. Udah pada tau lah ya, merek ini termudah dicari dan paling banyak dipake para bakers. Rasa coklatnya memang nendang, manisnya juga gak over, warnanya cukup pekat bagus buat brownies makin cakep.

Colatta tuh produk coklat andalan gue karena memang sebagus itu ya, sepadan sama harganya mulai dari 17 ribuan ukuran 200 gram sama ada versi kiloannya cuma 50 ribuan di ecommerce. DCC satu ini juga cepet mengeras kalau dijadiin cocolan buat kukis dan kue cornflakes, juga bagus banget pas diolah jadi saus untuk dessert box.

OH IYA! Colatta cucok sekali buat pelapis pisang es kul-kul.

Conclusion:

Pengen beli coklat Colatta, tapi lagi hemat budget. Jawabannya beli coklat Permata aja. Gue sendiri baru tau merek ini sekitar 2021 karena waktu mau beli Colatta lagi kosong. Rupanya Permata ini masih 'anak' dari brand L'agie.

Buat harganya dulu tuh ini paling murah, cuma 12 ribuan ukuran 250 gram dan yang bikin kagetnya adalah rasanya itu beneran coklat yang ENAK gituloh. Ada paitnya jadi bikin balance, gak kalah sama Colatta. Coklatnya pun gak ninggalin 'jejak' lengket di lidah-lidah mulut seperti coklat murah biasanya.

Dari segi tekstur dan aroma, persis seperti Colatta. Jadilah gue beralih ke Permata karena harganya kala itu murah dan kualitasnya juga sejauh ini oke oke aja. Sayangnya sekarang doi udah jadi 14 ribuan.

Conclusion:

Rate: 9/10

Murah, tapi rasanya gak murahan. Tetep balance.

Alternatifnya Colatta dari segi rasa.

Warnanya sedikit terang.

Diana

L'agie ternyata beranak banyak, salah satu putrinya bernama Diana. Kebetulan waktu itu pun gue terpaksa nyobain coklat ini karena si Permata dan Colatta lagi kosong (haduh). Jadi isenglah diriku beli Diana buat dibikin puding, TAPI hasil akhirnya si coklat ternyata kemanisan dan pudingnya ngeluarin minyak.

Gue lupa harganya berapa, tapi kalau ndak salah lebih murah juga dibandingin sama Permata. Dan bener aja ini penurunan kualitas sih (SORRY L'AGIE).

((MUNGKIN)) karena harganya sangat murah, jadi kualitas komposisi bahannya pun ikut turun sebab waktu dicobain tuh yaaa tipikal coklat murah yang ninggalin jejaknya di mulut. Langsung saja merek ini gue eliminasi dari daftar percoklatan.

Super murah, sayang kualitasnya kurang sekali.

Kemanisan, ada jejak setelah dimakan.

Buat campuran puding bikin berminyak.

Flamboyant

Lagi-lagi L'agie. Kalau Permata dan Diana cuma hadir versi darknya, beda sama coklat blok Flamboyant yang ngeluarin coklat batang warna-warni aneka rasa. Pertama kalinya gue beli tuh rasa vanilla sekitar 2012 mungkin, ya.

Ekspektasi gue terpenuhi. Rasa vanillanya LEGIT, milky banget, manisnya wajar, dan gak ngendal. Ternyata inilah rasa vanilla yang pernah gue rasain pas beli martabak mini abang-abang di SD. Baru menemukan coklat putih vanilla yang rasanya endul, ternyata produknya L'agie.

Coklatnya banyak banget varian rasanya, ada stroberi, bluberi, lemon, anggur, jeruk, pandan, frambozen, tiramisu, greentea, dan mangga. Udah lama gak beli lagi, kapan-kapan deh :))

Conclusion:

Varian rasa banyak, UNIK!

Kualitas coklatnya bagus, sedikit ninggalin jejak di mulut awalnya tapi ilang kok.

Harga standar masih di 17 ribuan per 200 gram.

Alcott Readathon 2018: Diana and Persis (1878)

Chapter 1: A Pair of Friends It says friends but I’m shipping the hell out of them. Diana, 28, is a sculptor and partly inspired by Harriet Hosmer, according to Sarah Elbert’s introduction. Percy, 25, is a painter and her mixture of fun-loving and artistic dedication resembles May Alcott. Percy’s only family is her grandmother, while Diana lives alone, “denying herself the pleasures of youth, the honors of sex and beauty, the joys of love, the solaces of home.”

Percy comes to tell Diana that one, she’s rejected her suitor, and two, she’s leaving in a week to study in Paris then Rome. Diana heartily approves of both items. Percy shows her a painting of a lark flying in the sky and Diana says “it is very good!” Grandmother thought the lark should have a nest for a home. Diana disagrees, liking that the bird “does not stoop to fill gaping beaks with worms.” The symbolism needs no explanation.

In Percy’s opinion Frenchman can draw but have no eye for color, while she is good at color but bad at drawing. “I so much admire color, strength and stature in both men and women,” she says. Harold, they’re queer.

They cry and hug as Percy boards her ship.

Chapter 2: Letters Sept – Percy attends classes at K’s studio for women, which costs more than J’s school for both sexes but is more pleasant. She boards with Anna and Cordelia, a pair of cousins, as May roomed with sisters Kate and Rosa Peckham. Apparently there are 40,000 art students in France.

Nov – The women are enraged over a letter in the newspaper calling out J’s students for “unsexing” themselves. The idea being that women shouldn’t draw from nude models, particularly not in the same room as the men artists. Percy claims that the presence of the women creates “a purer atmosphere.” Okay.

“We are twitted with getting no medals at the Salon,” she writes. “How can we when hitherto we were not allowed to study at the life schools yet expected to do as well in a third of the time and with half the help men have?”

She befriends Miss Cassal, and older woman, a reference to Mary Cassatt. Percy and Miss Cassal want to start their own school.

Diana asked her about clothes and she responds that she doesn’t think about them one bit. She uses all her money on lessons. Given that Diana doesn’t seem to care much about clothes, I think she asked because she knows Percy cared more.

Dec – A black man models for the class; two American Southerners are “rather scornful” of him and Percy gives them a lecture.

They cook a turkey for Christmas and their friend Durant sends a pie.

Mar – Percy dashes off a still life at home one day and shows it to the master. He tells her to send it to the salon. WTF? she thinks. Anna paints Percy’s portrait.

April – The Salon accepts both, two of 2,000 chosen out of 8,500 submitted. Now I’m even more impressed at May. Percy is still confused why people think “that ordinary little thing” is so great. After visiting the Salon display she decides the painting’s simplicity causes the praise.

Chapter 3: Puck Diana visits the Pincian Hill in Rome, feeling homesick and thinking of Percy, married now and too busy for friendship. A little boy mistakes her for his aunt and she shows him her sketchbook. His papa is Antony Stafford the sculptor, a name she recognizes. Nino runs off with the book and Antony returns it.

Diana waits for him to visit, wanting his opinion on the statue of Saul. After a week she assumes he forgot, then Nino arrives with flowers, saying he was ill. Antony is very charmed by the sight of Diana playing with his son.

Of the stature he says, “There is virile force in this, accuracy as well as passion – in short, genius.” He offers to have it cast in marble. Her other project is a head of Nino. She adds wings to the shoulders to call it Puck.

Antony thinks to himself that Diana is like a man and a woman put together, and he doesn’t know which to admire most.

Chapter 4: At Home Percy writes that her daughter is born, so Diana visits her in Paris. Did Percy skip Rome? It doesn’t say.

August Muller, a Swiss man, plays the violin while Percy sketches baby Diana. Like Bhaer, he uses thee and thy.

“How well and glad and beautiful you look, my Percy,” says Diana. She forgives August for taking her friend away. Percy claims motherhood has hardly interrupted her art, but Diana notes that her paints look dry.

They have lunch – “salad and fruit, hot coffee and delectable rolls and a pot of butter still in its grape leaf fresh from the dairy.” (I include this because I like food history.) And wine, although Percy says it’s kept for special occasions.

Fanchette the maid puts baby to bed and they watch the sunset from the chateau ruins. Diana tells them she wants to visit Switzerland and then Rome. Instead of love she seeks fame. August insists that women can have both – “A man expects them, achieves them, why is not a woman’s life to be as full and free as his?”

Diana isn’t convinced, noting that Percy brought her knitting to the sunset.

At home, August plays from Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Percy thinks about what to have for breakfast while Diana wonders if a musician husband might make her happy.

“So they went merrily to bed, and the rivals shook hands with new cordiality as they said ‘Good Night!’”

And that’s where it ends. It is a shame that it’s unfinished – both because I want to read the rest and because May’s death is presumably what led LMA to abandon it. Will Diana fall in love with Antony or will she remain single? I could see either ending.

Is "Gil" nickname canon in the books? And more broadly does Anne have nicknames for Gilbert. I read all the books up to Anne's House of Dreams and didn't notice, and just did a ctrl-f for it in the free online copies... I feel like I'm crazy for not seeing Gil in the books since it is so prevalent in fanfic. Also sorry if I missed you post about this already.

This is a great question and I was thinking the same thing the other day. You’re right Gil is a widespread nickname used for Gilbert in fanfic and I believe it entirely stems from the 80’s Sullivan movie adaptions. It might also just stem from people’s natural desire to shorten two syllable names into one syllable nicknames.

I took the time to search all nine Anne of Green Gables books to see if there is any textual basis for this nickname or if Anne has any nicknames for Gilbert that no one remembers. Here is what I found...

The only time Anne refers to Gilbert as Gil in the books is when Anne cuts herself off saying his name because she still holds a grudge against him in Anne of Green Gables.

“But I hate to stay home, for Gil—some of the others will get head if the class...”

“...I don’t really care whether Gil—whether anybody...”

“Mr.Phillips made me sit with Gil—with a boy”

“Gil—the boys in school will never get over laughing at it.”

“And Gil—everybody will get ahead of me in class.”

“...especially if Gil —if the others passed”

Interestingly I found a quote of Diana referring to Gilbert as Gil in Anne of Green Gables

“I don think it’s awful mean the way you treat Gil. Wait till I tell you. When you ran off the platform after the fairy dialogue one of your roses fell out of your hair. I saw Gil pick it up and put it in his breast pocket.”

No one refers to him as Gil directly or indirectly in Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Poplars, Anne’s House of Dreams, Rilla of Ingleside or The Blythes are Quoted.

In Anne of Windy Poplars here are some things Anne does call Gilbert in the letters she writes to him while they are engaged:

Everytime, when she came to the surface, people were at awe. Children loved her for her power, the control of water, while teenager admired her beauty and strenght. The parents were glad, that another hero protected them and their families, but villians... they wanted to control her. And as Poseidon once said, the sea does not like to be restrained.

When Batman met Kraken, he was in awe, just like the others. Her skin had tan, but glowed softly in the sun, her hair was braided in a beautiful way, her eyes showed her raw but faszinating power. Her armor was blue and bronze, her weapons sharp. Wonder Woman smiled and hugged her, greeting her cousin. 

“It’s so good to see you, little cousin.” Kraken laughed and hugged her back.

“It’s good to see you too, Di. Your sister and brother miss you, ya know.” Wonder Woman smiled again and promised to visit soon. 

“Welcome, Kraken, to the Justice League.” The beauty grinned.

Batman was hestiant. While he knew, that Wonder Woman and Aquaman were familiar with Kraken, he realized, he had absolutly no information about her. He just knew, like everybody else, that she was powerful. For him, Kraken was an enigma. And he definitly didn’t like that.

With a sigh, Persie watched how the city burned. Why does this keep happening? Why was always earth attacked? She looked at the trident in her right hand, the trident of her father. It will grant her great power, power she couldn’t really control. Because nobody controls the seas. Not even her father. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. 

The Justice League paused, when they noticed a sudden glow, bluish and soft. They saw Kraken, Persie, on her knees, a majestic weapon in her hand.

“Father...“ Her voice carried her sentences through the whole city.

“Father. I call you for help. Help me to guide the sea, not to control. Help me... it‘s too much. Too much power to hold.” A giant wave rolled through the streets, not touching anything but glowing with power. Diana gasped, when she feeled her uncle’s presence. The wave roared high and crashed into Kraken. Her whole body began to glow brighter, until she floated over the ground. The air cracked with pure energy, her glowing white eyes stared the villians down. On the top of her head rested a crown, made out of corals and pearls. Her armour became bigger, more majestic.

“Mortals“, she growled. But there was another voice. Deeper, much more powerful. The voice of a male.

“You came, try to conquer the world? You came like kings? Do you-“ She, he, was interrupted, when some tried to attack Kraken.

“Do you even know, WHO I am? Do you know, who my daughter is? I shall tell you... I am Poseidon! The King over the seas and this is my daughter, the hero and savior of Olympus! She fought against monsters, titans and giants, against Kronos, Tartarus and Gaea themself! And you think, you can win against her? Win against a god?“ The heroes were shocked, they knew Kraken was powerful, but a half god?

“You shall kneel before me, you have absolute no respect for mortal beings. Killing innocent... I will tell my brother Hades of your sins. Even if you don‘t belive in gods, in us, you will suffer in the Underworld.“ Kraken, possessed by Poseidon, slammed the trident into the ground. The earth began to shake, more water made it into the city. A sneer was seen on her face.

“You made everyone suffer, you made my daughter suffer... let me suffer you...“, murmured Poseidon. He slowly walked nearer, ignoring the shocked looks of heroes and civilians alike. The water moved through the streets, extinguish the fire and heal all the wounds of innoncent. Kraken whipped her head around, her eyes narrowed to Psimon. His hand was outstretched, his eyes went big, when he saw that Kraken made her way to him.

“Are you trying to control me? Are you trying to control a god?“ Kraken also streched a hand out, Psimon gasped, when he felt his blood slowly heating up.

“I learnt some months ago, what truly happened to my daughter in Tartarus. She was forced to do some... things, to save her friend. She nearly killed a goddess. Do you want to know how?“ Poseidon sneered again, as Psimon began to levitate and gasping for air.

“She controled blood and swore on the river Styx, she would never do it again. But to your misfortune... I am not my daughter.“ Suddenly Poseidon gripped his head, his daughter’s, head.

“Ugh... she doesn‘t want your blood at her hands. You are lucky, Simon Jones. You are all lucky.“ With that, the glowing slowly faded, the water and trident disappeared and left a tired Kraken behind. She groaned, swayed and almost lost her balance. Batman rushed to her and laid her softly at the ground.

“Kraken? Are you alright?“ She blinked slowly.

“I feel... tired, like really tired. What happened? Where is my fathers trident?“

“Everything is alright. Your father... possessed you and saved many lifes. I‘m not quite sure, if he realized that...“

“He did.“ She paused, until she became pale.

“Did-did I lost control? Gods, please-“

“Nothing happend. Your father- he stopped, bevor it became... nasty.“ Kraken sighed in relief.

“Cousin? Are you alright?“ Wonder Woman kneeled besides her, the other heroes followed, after they made sure, that the villians couldn‘t escape.

“I feel tired, but also refreshed. Like I had a long fight, but in the near of ocean. It‘s confusing?“ She frowned and tried to get up, but Batman pressed her down.

“I understand. Please rest. You just held the power of your father and this quite long. You even resited him!“ Kraken pressed her lips together, but nodded.

“Kraken? Can I talk to you?“ Batman didn‘t show it, but he was nervous. He wanted to clear up some things, to answer his questions. Kraken was still at the medic bay in the Watch Tower, her cousin forced her to rest.

“What would you like to know, Bruce?“ He suddenly freezed and blinked.

“How-“ She smiled and sat up slowy.

“Before I became a mortal hero, I talked with my father. And he talked with the council. They were wairy, because they didn’t want to lose me. They... they told me about the secret identities of each hero. I always knew it was you, I’m sorry, if a crossed a boundary there.” 

“No. It’s alright... I mean, they are gods... so...” 

“My name is Persephone Jackson, but please call me Persie. It’s nice, to finally meet you, Bruce.” A rare smile reached the stoic hero’s face.

“It’s nice to meet you too.” He sat and took his mask down. Bruce paused, until he asked his first question about her personal life.

“Why were you in Tartarus? Isn’t it the greek hell?” 

“This is a long story... do you have the time?” Persie smirked and when he nodded, she began with her life story. 

“Everything began, when my math teacher turned out to be a fury...”

Modus Dj: "Come On and Go With Me" dal 31/7 su Purple Music… Con una versione curata da Jamie Lewis

Finalmente, sulla mitica Purple Music, una delle label house più stimate al mondo dagli appassionati, esce il nuovo singolo di Modus Dj. E' "Come On and Go With Me", disponibile da 31 luglio su Traxsource e poi dal 15 agosto anche su tutti gli altri portali. Salvatore Modeo, dj producer pugliese da tempo attivo in molti degli hot spot del divertimento italiano, è davvero contento di questo brano. "Jamie Lewis, il patron della label ha realizzato personalmente una versione del brano, chiamata "Darkroom Mix", racconta. "Sono fiero e orgoglioso di questa versione, perché vuol dire che questa canzone prodotta da me ed interpretata da Andrea Love è davvero piaciuto a Jamie".

Com'è nato il tuo nuovo singolo?

"Come on and go with me" è  nata durante le mie vacanze lo scorso agosto (agosto 2019). Alle chitarre c'è il mio storico amico Franco Speciale, uno che ha già resto grandi e immensi numerosi dischi Purple. Ringrazio poi pure Andrea Love, che con la sua voce ha fatto realizzare il mio sogno.  Sto poi lavorando insieme all'amico Philip Medor per altri progetti House.

Come è nata la collaborazione con Jamie Lewis?

Ho avuto l'onore di incontrarlo durante il Winter Music Festival a Miami nel lontano 2011. Per me è un vero Maestro. Purtroppo poi ci siamo persi di vista… Produrre "Come on and go with me", per me è stata quindi una scommessa, una sfida. Riuscire a far pubblicare il brano da una label come Purple Music sapevo sarebbe stato impossibile o quasi.

Nato una trentina d'anni fa a due passi dal mare in Puglia, Salvatore Modeo al mixer Modus Dj da tempo vive a Milano. E' infatti un professionista della console già piuttosto affermato in città e non solo. Abdi Negeri

Sepuluh tahun lalu. Saat itu ketika kami, calon Abdi Negeri, tengah mengikuti sebuah kelas dalam  pelatihan dasar untuk menjadi abdi negeri yang sebenarnya. Di tengah proses menyimak materi tersebut, Diana, rekan perempuan satu angkatanku yang duduknya persis di sebelahku tiba-tiba menoleh dan bertanya.

“ Kamu sudah lihat dan sadar dengan yang barusan dipaparkan?” Wajahnya tak berhenti melihatku setelah itu.

“ Sudah, mengapa?” Aku menjawab singkat sembari sibuk menulis materi  di buku catatanku.

“ Kenapa ya materi yang barusan malah membuat tidak yakin untuk terus mengabdi?” Ia menundukkan pandangan setelahnya. Sekilas kuperhatikan matanya telah berkaca-kaca.

“ Karena?” Kataku yang saat itu mencoba mengerti.

“ Kukira aku sudah kalah telak. Dengan semua yang sudah terlewati. Lewat hal-hal kecil dan kelura yang tak pernah kusadari selama ini. Aku merasa ingin menyerah karena berada di sistem yang punya banyak masalah” Kalimatnya ditutup dengan air mata yang sepertinya telah mengalir di kedua pipinya. Aku kaget dan memberikannya tisu yang ada di saku bajuku. Kubiarkan ia menangis dan memilih menanggapi setelah tangisnya mereda. Aku pun membalas pernyataannya tadi sesaat setelah tangisnya reda.

“ Lalu, kau ingin menyerah?” Aku bertanya dengan mengharapkan jawaban jujur darinya.

“ ... “ Ia hanya terdiam tanpa satupun kata yang terucap dari bibirnya. “Mungkin masih sedih” pikirku. Kuletakkan sejenak alat tulisku dan mencoba menjelaskan pertanyaanku tadi.

“ Aku pun merasakan hal yang sama, pada awalnya Di.” Ungkapku jujur, perempuan tadi langsung mengangkat wajahnya dan kembali memperhatikan setiap kalimat yang akan aku sampaikan setelahnya.

“ Kamu serius?” Ia menjawab lirih.

“Iya, nasib kita kan sama, calon abdi negeri muda, dengan segala macam problematikanya. Tapi..”

“Tapi ?” Perempuan itu semakin penasaran. Aku tersenyum kemudian melanjutkan penjelasan.

“Tapi bukankah hal itu berarti baik ketika kita telah tersadarkan oleh sesuatu? Dan bukankah kesadaran adalah setengah langkah menuju perubahan?” Ia mengangguk mencoba untuk paham. “Kamu tidak sendirian, ada aku, kamu, dan sekelompok calon abdi negeri dari seluruh nusantara yang akan bersama untuk belajar, berdiskusi, bertukar pikiran hingga saling memberi solusi, di tempat kita berpijak saat ini.” Kali ini matanya semakin berbinar, seperti seorang anak kecil yang tengah dijanjikan makanan ringan.

“ Lalu harus apa?” Ia bertanya seakan ingin langsung menemukan solusi dari permasalahannya.

“ Jika kau ingin mengubah sistem yang punya banyak masalah, ubahlah bersama orang-orang yang memiliki pikiran serupa.” Kataku mengutip sebuah pesan dari salah satu kelas daring yang pernah kuikuti.

Setelah itu sepertinya sedihnya padam, tertutup oleh sepotong kalimat kutipan yang kuucapkan barusan. Kulihat perempuan itu mengambil kembali catatannya dan memperhatikan pemateri yang sedang menjelaskan ilmu di kelas.

Sepuluh tahun setelahnya, yaitu hari ini. Perempuan itu telah menjadi pemimpin nomor satu di insitansi tempatku berada kini, perempuan yang ada di sebelahku, , perempuan yang saat itu matanya berkaca-kaca, perempuan yang saat itu hampir menyerah.

Uso civico delle foreste

Il quadro mondiale dello stato di salute delle foreste è decisamente problematico. Tra deforestazioni e roghi milioni di ettari di verde primario sono persi, ma c’è una buona notizia: ogni anno le foreste nel vecchio continente crescono di una superficie di 9.500 chilometri quadrati, l’equivalente di 1 milione e duecentomila campi di calcio. E l’Italia, che all’inizio del secolo scorso era quasi denudata, è uno dei Paesi che ha visto crescere di più (1 milione di ettari in 30 anni) la propria superficie forestale che oggi copre il 36% del territorio. E’ un aumento per lo più legato ai fenomeni di abbandono dei territori rurali e montani. Strategico diventa il tema della proprietà delle foreste in Italia, per oltre due terzi, privata. Per il WWF bisognerebbe estendere i cosiddetti “usi civici” del patrimonio boschivo. Così che le comunità possano intervenire anche dove i boschi, frazionati tra centinaia di proprietari, sono in abbandono.
