I don't think of it as a second job because I doubt the writers of a season 10 episode remembered a throwaway line from season 7, we latch onto it as one of the bits of characterization we get about Peg
I also don't think he would have cared as much if they had been married without kids
bj being fine that peg got a real estate license out of what I assume was her own desire and then having a breakdown when she gets a restaurant hostess job out of financial necessity
he's not contradicting himself. he was a jerk but it's not illogical

People do write and draw femslash when a show has female characters that interact with each other. Grey's Anatomy? Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Legend of the Seeker? Desperate Housewives? Once Upon a Time? All had femslash fic, and not just for the actual lesbian/bi couples. Harry Potter fandom had various f/f pairings. Amy Pond/River Song was a thing before they were revealed to be related.

The US having an entire city in the middle of the desert dedicated entirely to gambling sounds like a thing other countries would make up about the US as a joke but its real and no one bats an eye at it

Steamy Saturday
Gay Cruise by Carl Driver (a likely name), part of the French-Line Novel series published in San Diego by Publishers Export Co. in 1967, is an example of late 1960s gay sleaze steam: enough sex to make it raunchy, but not enough to make it triple-x pornographic. The narrative centers of small-time Hollywood actor Mark Anderson who buys himself a yacht that he christens the "Svengali," fills it with gay men looking to score, and sails the Mediterranean. What unfolds is essentially on long floating orgy interspersed with sexual backstories of individual passengers. Not terribly written, but also not terribly interesting. Still, there's plenty of steam.
We've learned that Carl Driver was the pseudonym for Philip H. Lee, but that doesn't help much because we haven't been able to find out anything about the author. We like the cover art, though.

One year ago today, Aaron Bushnell set himself on fire at the gate of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC as an act of protest against the ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
The scale of the tragedy in Gaza exceeds anything we can understand from the United States. Aaron was determined not to passively accept it.
Today, in Aaron's memory, let us pledge ourselves once more to solidarity with Palestinians—to fight against genocide, ethnic cleansing, and all forms of colonialism.
In this memorial, we share Aaron’s summary of his anarchist politics, with testimony from his friends.
https://crimethinc.com/AaronMemories
In Aaron's own words:
"I am an anarchist, which means I believe in the abolition of all hierarchical power structures, especially capitalism and the state… I believe that any hierarchical power structure is bound to reproduce class dynamics and oppression. Thus, I want to engage in egalitarian forms of organizing that produce horizontal power structures based on mutual aid and solidarity."
In the words of one of Aaron's friends,
"Aaron has permanently changed the fabric of your being. You know this because for the rest of your life, you will wrestle with the thought of what you will sacrifice for the liberation of others."
