What im hearing is:
Little crow feet outside my window bcs im feeding them- that’s besides the point!
Is there magic??? His shovel looks magic and they look magic
And do give me every detail you are thinking of for the series even if its in the distant future or not that relevant but you want to share
Crows!! Cute!! Also sorry i didnt get to this sooner my laptop BROKE (still broken but usable) and my mom and i have been looking for someone to fix it. Ive been drawing with it sparingly to be careful.
YES there is magic. Of course im still working on this storywise but im getting characters designs n whatnot done right now. Dynamics n stuff. BUT i do have some refs i made before my laptop broke.
I like to draw out certain stuff so that it helps with descriptions in the future; i have the worst memory so it helps to be able to do so. (More beneath cut)
Im so excited for moon's shadow form. Oh my god. Its probably my favorite thing right now.
Fun thing about it is that in this form he can touch you but you cant touch him. Something something you can be cast in shadow but you cant take it off yk? He's still light sensitive like this though, so if the area hes in isn't dark enough or he's hit with anything too bright he just reverts back. At that point he'd just have to rely on normal hand to hand stuff and his sand lol. The shadow form is just better for sneaking and speed. Really, he's some amalgamative idea of the sandman and boogieman. I thought it fit well with his whole "naptime attendant gone wrong" thing.
Sun's design, however, is more like if you mixed a cowboy, wizard, and gravedigger together. I made it a while ago on a whim with no intention behind it but then i ended up thinking "ykw would be so awesome".
The hat dips to cover the crescent side of his face (not intentional on his part) to symbolize his resentment towards moon and how he basically damned him to an hourglass. His eyes are easier to see bc of this which could seem more trusting (eyes are the window to the soul or whatever), but the thing is thats not normal for him (as we know) so it's meant to make him look suspicious and looming to 4th wall viewers. There's also the fact that i just thought it was cool too.
He also doesn't get a second form. Moon's sneaky and weird so i thought it would fit to give him some freaky thing iykwim. Sun, however, is a pretty "in your face" kinda guy, so his look and fight style is more extravagant and boisterous. Lots of swinging amd yelling and boom bang zap! Despite the showiness he's actually a longer range fighter. Mainly because unlike moon, thousands of years ago, he wasn't often one to get violent with his hands. His weapon is just obnoxiously large too though.
They are still one animatronic and their transformation is still triggered by light. Instead of an AI chip though (which is still in there but long dead), they live through the work of a soul. They're still physically inorganic but as far as spiritually they're as close as they're gonna get to being human. Their life and functionailty is derived from the magic itself, not the machinery. Like if for some reason they lost all their magic they'd just drop dead from a battery life long since drained.
The hourglass has a carousel-like design to it purely as reference to moon's level in Help Wanted 2.
Sorry for rambling so much but this is what i've got for you so far! I have a general idea for the plot but im tryna to make it more than what it is rn, so i dont wanna share too much of that just yet in case i change or completely toss away an idea.

De Selby Part 1 translation
A friend who was listening to Unreal Unearth asked me for some translation for the final verse of De Selby part 1, so decided to try offering my own transltion just from reading, and just some differences possibly in the interpetation
This isnt 100% word for word and some parts are approximations. Again, its very hard to convery the proper meaning of irish lyrics by translating them given theres just specific meanings in some words thats hard to convert properly as béarla
Bhfuilis soranna sorcha Reading 1: Althougth(?) you are amicable and bright Reading 2: Arent you amicable, Sorcha/ Arent you amicable and bright [Remember Sorcha is a given feminine name in irish deriving from our word for 'bright/clear'. Also, Soranna is likely a misspelled transliteration of So-ranna. In irish, we have so- (easy) and do- (difficult). So-ranna meaning 'easy to get along with/amicable/good craic]
Ach tagais 'nós na hoíche But you come in like the night
Trína chéile; Bewildered
Le chéile, claochlaithe Together, transformed
Bhfuilis soranna sorcha Arent you amicable and bright
Ach tagais 'nós na hoíche But you come in like the night
Is claochlú an ealaín Art is transformation
Is ealaín dubh í It is a dark art [Dubh (lit 'black') here could be a synonym with the more common dorcha ('dark')]
Bhfuilis soranna sorcha Arent you amicable and bright
Ach tagais 'nós na hoíche But you come in like the night
Trína chéile; Bewildered
Le chéile, claochlaithe Together, transformed
Bhfuilis soranna sorcha Arent you amicable and bright
Ach tagais 'nós na hoíche But you come in like the night
Is claochlú an ealaín Art is transformation
Is ealaín dubh í It is a dark art

I used to be a close transmasc friend of yours but you have genuinely made me (and others) sick with your fake top surgery tattoos. It's disrespectful, it makes fun of and trivialises a symbol of progress/pride that relates nothing to you. Binding is damaging and painful, you have no idea the pain actually transmasc people go through daily, hourly, by the minute or second to bind. You have no idea the pain of personally growing up transmasc. It's layered and it's complicated and it is Not yours. It will never be yours. You are appropriating our pain. Its disgusting. You are going to lose many friends and make many enemies for this. Hope you have fun faking being transmasc, I see half of Twitter already believes you. I don't want drama with you, or want you to publicly share this or talk to me. I'm just sharing this with you because it has made me sick to my stomach ever since I saw it. And this is an action you need to seriously rethink. You need to publicly come clean on those posts that you are not transmasc. I can tell you've worded it so it's hard for people to tell. You are lucky I haven't publicly made a statement.
woke up today to all of these anons. unsure if they are all the same person but I'm going to treat them as such.
the fact of the matter is, my gender identity is more complicated than "i want to be transmasc". twitter is a horrible place to explain myself because of the character limit, and because i don't like justifying myself to people i don't know. Seeing as i've now been kicked/banned from a specific discord server i used to be in, i know exactly who this is, and i finally feel comfortable explaining myself fully. i know you, i care for you, and we're here on tumblr where i can actually sit down and write a proper essay. Thank you.
i'll break down my responses specifically to what you said, because I want this to be a good conversation.
(under the cut because its long, lol)
"it's disrespectful, it makes fun of and trivializes a symbol of progress/pride that relates nothing to you" — I derive no comedy from the tattoo. I didn't decide I wanted it lightly. saying that it "makes fun of" that symbol is categorically a misinterpretation of my earnest & sincere intent. I wear my heart on my sleeve, always.
saying that my experience "relates nothing" to the transmasc experience is a true statement. I started with a body I should've been comfortable in. The truth is—I was not—I am not comfortable with my body. I don't want a binary body. But my transition experience? was not anything like the transmasc one. I grew out my hair. I bought skirts and dresses. I began collecting earrings, all of them gifts from friends who love me. But when I approached HRT, I realized I wasn't happy with being a woman. I didn't want to get closer to a newer, different binary body. I wanted to be both, trans man and trans woman, simultaneously. I am bigender and nonbinary. to boil me down to "just wants to be transmasc" completely ignores the other half of me that wants breasts, that wants a feminine chest. my next step with my transition is, honestly, purchasing a breast form.
the issue now becomes, why get the tattoo if thats how i feel? if I still want a chest in some form or another?
because, I don't want my bare chest to be a source of dysphoria for that part of me. Remember, at the same time that I want breasts, i also don't want them. at the same time that I want long hair, i want short hair. at the same time I want masculine clothes, i want skirts. I am all of these things and MY PAIN is not being able to be everything combined all at once. It is, frankly, an impossible transition goal.
The scars take my natural chest and they turn it into something new that acknowledges my hypocrisy, that its not just the body of a man, that there is room for more, here. Just because it looks flat doesn't mean thats all it could be, or thats all it was. I want that symbol of transformation because I wish I got to transform. What is more "trans" than wanting to transform?
I will never be transmasc. That just doesn't properly describe my experiences, and it doesn't even fit my feelings about myself. But, at the end of the day, top scars don't belong just to transmasc people, they belong to nonbinary people too. AFAB people who don't seek being gendered one way or the other get top surgery, too. That's the group I feel closest aligned with, (except I want to be gendered both ways, simultaneously, rather than not being gendered at all).
ANYWAYS. thats the deep and thorough explanation of my gender i've been holding back from sharing on twitter. I don't even want to begin to imagine how many tweets long that thread would be LMAO.
back to breaking down your responses, sorry for the tangent. I felt that it was pertinent to illustrate how this tattoo is still a symbol of progress and pride to me, and how I relate to it through my experiences, so you can understand me. I still care about you. you will always be a friend in my mind, so you deserve it.
"Binding is damaging and painful, you have no idea the pain transmasc people go through" — I am well aware of the side effects of binding. They are the reason I didn't pursue HRT to obtain a chest, with binding as a solution for me still wanting a flat chest simultaneously.
That being said, I am living with the consequences of binding. My partner cannot breathe normally, and I constantly feel concern for his wellbeing whenever we need to do something physical (move furniture, walk uphill, etc.) BECAUSE of his history of binding. I know the damage it does.
"You have no idea the pain of growing up transmasc. It is not yours, it will never be yours" — this is true, though I could similarly say that you have no idea the pain of my strange feelings either. Just because we don't experience each other's exact pain doesn't stop us from feeling empathy for each other, for wanting better for each other.
The difference between us is—when I see someone in pain, i want them to do whatever they need to do to relieve that pain. when YOU see someone in pain—with MY pain, my strange pain that you don't understand (that you THINK you understand, but you don't)—your instinct is to use YOUR pain as a justification for hurting others. The fact that you're hurting is an awful one, and I am sorry I can't help you relieve it. But when you see another person happy because they've found a way to relieve some of THEIR OWN pain, it makes you angry. It doesn't make you happy that I found a way to transform my painful, dysphoric relationship with my body into a euphoric one.
as a community, we should rejoice and be happy when other trans people successfully make steps towards defeating their personal struggles with their body. We should be empathetic to each other's experiences. I understand your anger, but its not justified.
"You are going to lose many friends and make many enemies for this" — so far the only friend I've lost is you. all of my irl friends have been supportive, my partners are supportive, my online friends are supportive. Do all of them understand my complicated gender identity? No. I think maybe a lot of them think its a little stupid, honestly. But they're still happy for me. I'm very lucky to have friends who love me. I love them a lot, too, and they know it.
The enemies I've made from this don't know me, and I don't know them. They're not worth my time. You're different—YOU, anon, are worth my time. I know you. I care for you. Long after you have buried me in the ground for being a horrible person (in your eyes), i will still be thinking positively of you. I will still be rooting for you. That will never change.
"I don't want... you to publicly share this" — I'm sorry but you can't control what I do. If you wanted this to be private we should've had a private conversation about it. I was waiting for you to DM me and you never did. I wanted to have this conversation, and this is the place we have to do it, now that you've sent me these anons.
"I can tell you've worded it so its [hard to tell that you're not transmasc]" — This is true. I don't feel like spending 2 hours typing heartfelt responses to people I don't know on x dot com. (Thats how long its been, btw. I've been writing this for 2 hours now. Hopefully that stands for something—to help you understand how much I believe you deserve this explanation. I believe you deserve a lot more than what i've given you.)
I did not obscure my AGAB on purpose. I just think it doesn't matter and is not important enough to disclose. I'm nonbinary and I want a nonbinary body. That should be the end of the story, as far as the greater trans community should be concerned.
"You need to publicly come clean that you aren't transmasc"
quite frankly, its a little uncomfortable for you to assert that I should have to "come clean" about my AGAB. An interest in the genitals of trans people is something transphobes are particularly keen on. I think you should consider the parallels between your arguments and theirs. You still have some internalized transphobia to unpack.
I was there once too. I've already forgiven you.
Anon 2
I feel like I've already addressed your arguments here. I don't care what people who don't know me have to say about me. They don't know me.
You should consider your status as a popular furry artist, anon. Its not unreasonable to assume that people agreed with you purely because of your following. I've received supportive messages from several people I met in your discord server about my tattoo, so I can assure you that not everyone in your circle feels the same way you do.
Anon 3
I'm not lying about being transgender. Nonbinary is a transgender identity. Your interest in my AGAB, asserting that I need to come clean about it, is a transphobic assertion. Attacking a nonbinary person because you feel that they aren't being trans the right way is textbook nonbinaryphobia.
Anon 4 — "My binder made me sick today, i couldn't eat i felt faint and ill" — i'm genuinely sorry to hear that. No one deserves to have to endure that kind of pain for so long. You deserve better. You deserve to look at your body and feel happy. Everyone does.
"I felt sick remembering what you did. That you don't take transmasc pain seriously, or respect us" — I do take your pain seriously, and I respect you as a person. This long thoughtful post is evidence of that.
I understand the disgust you feel at the thought that someone would want to feel the pain you feel. But thats never what I wanted. Thats what you believe I wanted.
The truth is I have my own pain too. my own, personal, complex pain, which i've attempted to explain above. I shouldn't have to be burdened with explaining it to everyone who asks. I don't owe them my soul. I owe my soul to my friends and my partners, and I give it freely when asked by them. You asked. on tumblr dot com, my friend.
If thats not respect, then I don't know what is. Respect is a willingness to meet another person where they're at. I know that when you're hurting its hard to see the hurt you're inflicting onto others. Please trust me when I say I've been there, too. I've hurt. I've hurt others because my pain said that it was justified. I'm healing from it, from the guilt and the shame. I'm finally stopping the cycle of pain and self-hatred within myself. I hope you can get here with me someday, too.
I meant it when I said you'll always be a friend to me. I hope you take my words to heart.
have a nice day, thanks for reading 💛

Huh actualy since Earthspark (while definitely inspired/derived from the original g1 universe) is definitley doings its own thing/clearly working off a altered version of events (the movie didnt happen for one thing) that opens up a lot of possibilities for which characters can show up and how they show up.
Like, I really like Jetfires introduction in G1 but what if in the Earthspark verse the decepticons just... never pulled that junk in the arctic? They never found him frozen in that ice. So hes just, like, still there. Until climate change or whatever melts the glacial ice and he just drops out.
Actually thats a whole idea. I mean, how long has the Ember Stone been on Earth in this setting exactly? Could there have been cybertronians who came looking for it before the Autobots and Decepticons accidentally wound up on Earth? Are they just lying inert underground or stuck in lava flows or whatever? I mean we are talking about a biomechanical species that lives for millions of years and, in some continuities, literally infinititely assuming they never run out of energy.
Be funny if thats the actual plot of s2 XD. The big revival wave the kids set off at the end of the first season causing transformers buried under the Earth for millions of years to suddenly wake up and recover (somehow).

haiii!!! i really like how much you advocate “uncommon” alterhuman identities!! the passion!! the care!! its all really cool. i appreciate you for that. my friend is a fictionkin (gregory of yardale) and i think thats pretty damn cool. one small problem though. i kind of dont understand alterhuman identities all that well! :( from my understanding, its when people have a spiritual connection with a certain nonhuman thing,, (or sometimes believe they were said thing in their past life),, but ive also seen some people say they think they ARE said thing instead of human. which i dont know if its true. it’d be pretty odd to not believe you were human after…you know, youre literally classified as human and al that jazz. i cant explain it. but at the same time, i dont wanna be judgemental…and theres gotta be some explanation. something deeper. something to destroy the misconception of “odd”, but i cant find it. :(

:33 < velopppp !! :oDD im relally tabnkful for that !! honestly, i jusut want a community in whoch peopel dont feel left out !! where people arebt unseen, we are all fair !! thats what drives me iguess :o)) and thank yiu !! <3 also they sound really interesting !! ^_^ and, for the not unnderstanding allterhuman identitues that weel: honestky ? for starters, idont always truly believe youHAVE to understand. as long as you as a being can respect it, youdont always have to understand. [pt: as long as you as a being can respect it, youdont always have to understand.]
B33 < youcan be respectful, and kind, but if youdont understand, thats ok !! if youwant to understand, thats great !! if youdo understand, thats awesome !! its fine not to get things, you are not compelled to know everything !! but for starters, you arent wrong !! alterhumanity can derive from spirituality (eg: religion, believing your nonhuman soul was put into a human body, past lives, ectect) but it isnt always !! there are many reasons one would be nonhuman !! (im not speaking on all nonhuman behalves when isay tghis, but) it could be duue to mentally beleiving you are an alterhuman (psychological alletrhyman), being a fictive (taht is a system/plural term for anyone who doesnt know), delusions/mental conditions, (zoanthropy/lycanthropy, trauma, mental illness, ect) or maybe just being taht thing because they are that thing. most people say they "are" that thing because its the best way to describe their alterhumanity for them, like they (probably) know arent physically that being/thing, but saying they are it just makes sense instead of pputtijg the spiritual/psychological/anything else label on it. also, some people might physically believe they arent human because of delusions or mental illness, in which case it is not hest to reality check them. holotheres and physical nonhumans can identify like that because of their mental illness, but they do not have to. (please remember: not all physically nonhuman beings are alterhuman/holoheres/physical nonhumans, and not all holotheres/physical nonhumans have disabilities that impact them being physically nonhuman/have their disabilities impact them being physically nonhuman)
B33 < although on anithher note, ihave seen some news a while back that there used to be predatory activity with people claiming they could physically transform into their 'type, and would give steps on how to "do it" but im not sure if those "watch out" posts were made to harm physical nonhumans/mentally ill beings that identified as not human physically, or if it was true and there were actual adults saying this to minors so please do watch out. with that being said, please note that not every alterhuman experience is the same, if anyone had anything to add, whether personal experiences, thoughts and opinions, or other, feel free to !! thanks !! ^_^

i think vampires should be able to turn into more kinds of animals. in the original dracula film, he possessed the ability to transform into a bat and a wolf, the werewolf concept i think being partially derived from this choice. now im not suggesting vampire kralie turn into a wolf, thats tims gig, but i do think perhaps he should get more creatures.
god im just delving into animal shapeshifter territory arent i

okay so. still trying to piece this all together before you know its done for me so Pausing the episode heres what im understanding
the santo berço is a town that exists in a place where the membrane is incredibly weak and the reason the people look different is because we know that bodies begin to shift and change when they stay too long in these areas so i believe the gray skin, point ears, and such is a side effect on these people who were once “ignaro” they transform the longer they stay. my thought process at least rn regarding their appearances
the reason the black eyes stood out to me is because during the 6th episode with the fight when they were losing the power checks and theyd lose control and their eyes would get blacker as if consuming them right? and theyd begin to have black tears running down their face. which is really fucking specific so im wondering if the black eyes there is the same type of scenario we’re seeing here. sorta implying some sort of controlled state? or heres the thing they call themselves lucidio? i forgot how to spell it kekw which is im assuming derived from the word lucid and that sorta represents an awareness of a dreaming state. unsure if that plays into something here with their consciousness and awareness of everything it seems
the blacksmith said the tree represents their life in a way and i found it interesting that the trial is this three year thing where when they return they chop down that tree. its like a metaphor for what happens when they choose to stay in santo berço right? this tree is growing their life and when they return its cut its no longer able to continue growing it stays in that state forever now. staying in santo berço is like ending your life the growth of it. and i wonder if thats what its meant to basically mean.
what i found interesting was that the gatekeeper was brought when he was 8 and he remembers his life before santo berço and the fact children can be brought here was really interesting to me because they generally lack a sorta agency when it comes to making decisions? idk if the gatekeeper talks more about his backstory but im assuming he was brought by his parents or guardian to live here. hes 23 now so this town has existed for a Long Time. a fucking while.
what i found interesting was they themselves dont quite understand the maze and treat it as this legend and tale. but it has this thick mist around it which we know to mean an area with a very very weak membrane. which isnt surprising with all of this. but they dont seem to know that themselves. the 5 statues i assumed were the doctors but i havent gotten there yet to where anything is said about them. so im just assuming the 5 guardians are them but the thing is their documents were recent years like 2019 and 2020 and we know FOR A FACT this town has existed way longer. so either the 5 guardians arent the doctors who were doing this project and founded this town and instead someone else OR IT IS THE DOCTORS AND THERES SOME TIME TRAVEL AT PLAY.
they all are relatively aware right like they knew about caprizinha and they knew about other towns nearby and they know how cellphones and the seemingly how different the world is outside their town etc the only real confusing discrepancy is how they bring people. supposedly just asking? and people accept? and stay forever? and are seemingly happy forever? murcilos case was really odd because when we met him he really seemed to love his girlfriend jessica but when asked about her here he said well you know theres other things to life and generally the notion that its fine he doesnt care he left a life behind with no warning to anybody. like it holds so little value? thats where im like okay clearly theres some trickery something isnt adding up for people to just vanish and leave their lives. but again theyre in this town right now and dont seem to be manipulated in any way? they still have that option to leave according to the blacksmith but again they did enter in an unexpected way.
now when they found the town they did pass by a fog where they couldnt see anything except the path and an illuminated way that led them to santo berço so i wonder what exactly happened there. because they were looking for The Cave and instead found this town and its like okay how does that fucking happen. i keep going back to cesars reaction where they were going to enter the forest. the feeling that there was no going back and that shiver.
now i think back to what the doctors were doing and trying to achieve and the major question remains as Why? i wish i had taken photos of all the documents so i can read them all myself again lmao. whats the reason? they live without names just titles they have no technology or electricity they called those things aberrations. why why why why whats the point? how is this town used in an ulterior motive. its not just a town it functions to do something clearly. but what?
ok ima play the episode again ive just been ranting kkkkkk
Still so confused about the old man fml. ik on one of his papers it was written “im the blacksmith” but like was he really? is the symbol burn mark on his back one of those markings the people of santo berço seem to have on their faces the same? do all blacksmiths have that marking on their back? was his tongue cut because he left santo berço? i need to understand how he plays into this meu deus. did he even write that paper? was he just holding it? he clearly knew enough to run down that basement and release subject whatever the fuck

Another Anti-Feanor blog I read sometimes compared the Silmarils to AI art and I got curious about your opinion of them
Even most if Feanor haters agreed that the Silmarils belonged to him (or at least until the Swan Havens massacre) and he owned Yavanna shit. Which I lowkey agree
I mean, its kinda funny how useless the Silmarils are (since they don't really...have powers?). Pretty poor for a Mcguffin, maybe thats why I find Sentinent Silmarils AU cool
The light inside the Silmarils was not Fëanor's creation but the silmara, the substance that imprisoned them in a way that broke the laws of physics to keep their energy from depleting, was. The blessing that made them corrosive for evil to touch was the work of Varda. The jewels themselves were Fëanor's creation- but just like his tengwar itself, the creation was derivative and/or based on the work of others (unlike Daeron, Fëanor's writing system wasn't created from nothing but a major improvement on Rúmil's sarati writing system. I'm sorry but Fëanor's status as the most gifted elf often reads a Amanyar bias and royal Noldor propaganda. But the fandom only likes to play the 'Silmarillion is a biased text' to prop up the Fëanorians and bash Pengolod). So yes, the Silmarils are his. His idea to craft them and his work. Because nothing is really created in a vacuum, nothing 100% original in all components. But his refusal to relinquish them isn't about the definition of art and transformative works. It's about his duty to his fellow beings.
What Fëanor does owe if he claims his position of prince and king of the Noldor is to work for the benefit of his people and not just himself. The Silmarils could have revived or regrown the Trees? Oh look, the only remotely good purpose for them and one that benefits more than just Fëanor's ego (he wasn't even displaying them as art anymore. at this points the jewels are art hidden away in some rich guy's vault instead of at least displayed in their home for others to see, let alone the public). Fëanor says that his ego is worth more than helping his homeland recover. And the statement about him dying if they are broken? Either melodrama, which is in character for him. or once again saying his life is worth more than others. Which, okay self-centered eldest prince, but Tolkien at least tries to paint the concept of royalty in a more idealized flattering light. Only if the Silamrils themselves are living beings- at which point then the fact that they are likened to seeds in the only area that gives them any real justification as plot important items, hints that instead of breaking and killing them, they would transform and grow into something else than the trophies that Fëanor made them.
But as they are? They are crystalized nostalgia for the Era of the Two Trees. Thingol only gives a shit about them because they remind him of the trip to Valinor with his buddies that he abandoned for Melian and a symbol of the sacrifices of Lúthien, Beren, (Finrod) and when placed in the Nauglimir, the suffering of Túrin and Húrin. For Elwing and the refugees at the Mouth of Sirion they were a symbol of their family's heroism and sacrifices and the massacre against them but also their hope and a belief that the gems were someone bolstering the prosperity and goodliness of their refugee settlement. They are the only group that seem to believe that the Silmarils have a power beyond that of personal adornment. To the Falmari- these are the limited creations of one man that drove him to destroy the priceless collective work, which were objects equally beautiful but functional and used in their daily lives, of their entire people. Only the Two Trees themselves are more central a beautiful one-of-a-kind creation when compared to the Swanships, and the Silmarils are laughably inferior on that scale. Eärendil's voyage implies that they might be an object of power to lift the veil to allow him to reach Valinor. But for Fëanor? It's vanity. And for his sons' - the filial obligation to the dying father that turns them into vile monsters.
The Silmarils themselves suck. Even before the multiple war crimes done in their name.
#swanships >>>> silamrils#fëanor the village idiot#replies#the gems suck and they are creation of a repulsive character#Aide my precious son you are such a cool concept of AI inside a gem body#I wish more people read your series#to know what the silmarils could have been but never could be

Horned God may in fact be the horned GODDESS [hypothetically]
[Deer Goddess]
The Horned gods origins are a little tricky. There are sources that claim that the Horned god was originally the horned goddess. Cernunnos, originally derived from old pagan myths of a horned ‘Goddess’ , a story about how a deer would turn into a woman. In folklore society in 1930, a researcher put his theories on a matriarchal Hunter gatherer society ruling highlands of scotland as a pre-celtic deer cult. J.G. Mckay.
Modern Scottish Gaelic and modern Irish Gaelic dictionaries both give the word Fiadh having two meanings: “Deer,” “God.” The deer was some sort of god, as well as divine messenger, some type to the Goddess Artemis. How you had to ask permission to hunt.
In Faerie lore, deer are their cattle and a common form of Faire women, Witches can transform into mice, hares, cats or black sheep but never the sacred deer.
In many pagan animal-cults, the priest or priestess would often wear an ornamental headdress of the sacred animal. There are Scottish folktales of a deer woman that Mckay theories could be explained by this real practice. In these folktales, a hunter, who has been stalking deer, observes, when putting up his gun to take aim, that the animal changed into a woman. He falls in love with her. Adventures ensue and they are separated until he finds her again on a distant island and they finally marry and live happily ever after.
The Deer Cult and the deer-goddess cult date back from a remote matriarchal time. Diana as well as Artemis and her nymphs, would appear to be classical examples of a hint at this older heritage. No one in patripotestal times, it would seem, would dream of inventing a feminine hunting divinity.
Celtic Society developed and created a masculine Horned God from the deer goddess and keep the feminine character next to him as a reminder as his shadow. By the stage the Deer Goddess matriarchy would have been in decay and her worshippers have grown fewer. While worshippers of the male Cernunnos became ever more numerous.
Today, there are whispers of this old Deer Goddess Cult in traditional German and English stag dances that are performed by men who dress themselves in women’s clothes, thereby preserving a memory of a former time when stag-dances were perfect by women, and of a later time, when the religious functions of women were usurped by men.
Shakspearen roots.
Swiftly moving on a couple thousand years, we come to the iconic bard, Shakespeare. Elizabethan english comedy abounds with images of the cuckold- a man with horns on his head, symbolising his shame that his wife has taken up with another man-
Herne the Hunter- from Shakespeare to popular culture. So at least thats where the name came from.
Robin Hood Myth [Horned God]
[Authors note: This website is not secured so take care also- these types of websites were the ones I’ve seen and how I came to know about Wicca]
The Horned God is the father of Robin Hood? And it’s Pagan?
The Horned god is a central theme/character in many european pagan faiths. Generally seen as a deity of woods, wild animals, hunting and virility he is an elemental force of nature and commonly identified as a male deity often the consort of the female force or earth mother.
This is the case in the Wicca religion where the horned god is worshipped as both the child and the consort of the great Mother, Triple Goddess.
There are some evidence that the idea of the ‘Lord’ and ‘Lady’ in Wicca is part of ancient tribal rites but such evidence is limited.
For many modern Wiccans the ‘Horned God’ sometimes known as the Great God or Great Father is his own father.
Mating with the Goddess at Beltaine then dying at Summer Solstice only to be reborn as her child at the new year, or Winter Solstice, he is a key symbol in the birth/death/Rebirth cycle.
The Horned God is known as the ‘Hunter’ has strong links in Britain with the idea of ‘Wild Hunt’ he is the taker of life, a vengeful spirit, hunting evil with a pack of demonic hounds.
He is often portrayed as carrying a bow.
The british Herne the HUnter is rumoured to survive still as a powerful spirit.
Herne is linked to Robin Hood just as Robin provided for the needy, Herne provided food for the tribe.
In some legends he is listed as Robin Hoods father, although this adds greater status to Robin Hoods legends.
He is portrayed has either having horns or Antlers, as well as his image is full of Phallic symbols.
Locations: There have been representations of Fertility icons for thousands of years as in the Altars of Stag Horns which have been found in Temples of Apollo and Diana in ancient Greece.
He is sometimes depicted with hooves or Goat hindquarters, a link to the Greek God Pan. Which of course had christians mistaken this horned fello for Satan.
Stag God image can be found in a cave painting at Trosi-Freres in France. This painting is thought to date around 13,000 BC known as the “Sorcerer” and depicts a half human, half stag spirit. This image is often seen as a representation of a shaman dressed as a stag performing a rite to ensure good hunting.
The Horned God is not an exclusively Wiccan concept as one would expect as many Pagan faiths have similar roots, the Horned god concept can be seen in the Greek God Pan, the Celtic god of the underworld and animals cernunnos, the Roman Janys, Tammuz and Damuzi the consorts of Ishtar and Inanna, Osiris and Dionysus as well as the Green Man mythological figure in the Uk.
The link with Osiris and Cernunnos which were both gods which guarded the underworld or judged souls and Osiris was both brother and consort of Isis seen by many as the Egyptian mother goddess. Cernunnos was a fertility god of the pagan celts and Gauls and is thought by many to have been the basis for the christian concept of the horned devil being a half man half goat guardian of the underworld and certainly a rival faith for early christianity.
The link between the Horned God and the Green man in English folk lore is very strong and even today many pubs in UK villages bare the name “The Green Man” often with a very pagan image on the pub sign. The Green man also known as ‘Green Jack’ or ‘Jack in the Green’ is an English spirit of trees and plants with the power to make it rain and crops grow well. The Green man is thought to share his home in the forest with forest fairies sometimes called “Greencoates” or Greenies depending on the region of the UK. In popular imagery the Green man is shown as face peering out of foliage, his wood spirit companions and fertility imagery clearly links him to Pan and also as a sort of sanitised Hern the Hunter and Wild hunter.
For many modern Druids and Wicca the Horned god is a key part of the birth, death, rebirth cycle and mentioned in many rites and celebrations, his imagery is powerful and has a strong attraction to many as a symbol of almost suppressed power / violence and male sexuality. Some modern pagans reenact the ancient rite where the hunter who brought the most/ best meat to the table was dressed in stag horns and furs and was rewarded with the right to couple with the priestess representing the goddess sometimes in front of the whole tribe. The few pagan groups that reenact this mostly do so symbolically or with the hunter and goddess being intimate partners already with only a small part of this “Great Rite” being performed before the rest of the coven.

really hate to keep hammering on about this, but this post is getting traction from misinformed people who mistakenly believe that fanwork does not violate copyright, or who do not understand what "fair use" is. so lets make this a teachable moment. (information in this post pertains to usa-based laws and regulations, since thats where i am located.)
fanworks (fanart, fanfiction, and any transformative work utilizing copyrighted characters/settings/other assets) are unambiguously illegal and violations of copyright law. im sorry if someone told you otherwise, but title 17 of the us code specifies that the copyright owner has the exclusive right to produce derivative works based on their property. "fair use" is not a right, it is a circumstantial provision that may be used as a defense in the case of a copyright infringement lawsuit, and the only party that can determine whether a derivative work falls under "fair use" doctrine is a federal court. if "fair use" is even on the table, youve already violated copyright law.
you might say to yourself, as many bootlickers in my replies have, that fanworks automatically fall under "fair use" because theyre not for profit. this is both a misunderstanding of "fair use" and deeply ignorant of what typical engagement with "fandom" actually entails. profitability is only one of multiple factors the court takes into consideration of a "fair use" defense, and perhaps more importantly - profiting off of fan works is extremely normalized (and imo justified!) in fandom.
ever bought or sold a commission featuring copyrighted characters or settings? thats a fair use violation. ever bought or sold an art print (or a sticker, or a button, or some other kind of merchandise) featuring an anime character at an artists alley? thats a fair use violation. have you ever donated to a fanartist or a fanfiction writer, even without the expectation of receiving something in return? as of yesterday, thats a fair use violation - the court held that the archive's publication of copyrighted books was "commercial" because the website solicits donations from its users. sorry about your medical bills, but linking your gofundme or ko.fi on the same blog where you publish genshin impact a/b/o yaoi or whatever the fuck means that, under the precedent set by the ia ruling, your works are not defensible under fair use, and mihoyo or whoever is fully entitled to drag you to court and wring you dry for exploiting their property for profit.
the reason why ip owners dont frequently enforce their rights against fanartists is pretty simple - most fanartists are not turning enough of a profit to justify the time and the money that arbitration would take, and possibly more importantly, taking fans to court makes them look really bad. but dont be fooled for a second into thinking your inprnt store is your god-given right. the law is literally not on your side. take my hand. lets abolish all copyright laws together.
i am pro-copyright infringement. anybody who does fanfiction or fanart or anything should be pro-copyright infringement and obviously we are on the Fanart Website. why this is not a more popular stance among people who spend all their time doing transformative works is beyond me

Don't temp me Sonic. The thought that the kaijus of the Hibino family likes to prank the DF on occasion, much less one that will do it like its a typical monday afternoon is bit too sweet temptation to let go off.
Anyways thats it for the would be uncles of Kafka Hibino. I hope it has been good? Also, you got any names for these guys? I'm looking through a site that helps with japanese names, but I'm still struggling finding the right ones for these boys.
If anyone is going to be pranking the Defense Force then it would be Kafka after how many incidents he has had with them. Don't really have any suggestions at the moment. Only thing I can think of is the names would have a strong meaning behind them since they are Proto's kids.
Plus it would fit the scheme when it comes to the Kaiju members as Kafka's name is derived from a famous transformation based book.

maybe im so jaded by weirdness that jojo weirdness is very normal for me. like
that baby had it coming. kakyoin making it eat shit isnt that big of a deal that baby was tryna kill them
the rainbow snails is pretty weird but the idea of you transforming into something when u touch it isnt that revolutionary its been done before (even the turning into a baby once u touch a shadow, this is derivative of something) the explanation for why it happens is more baffling but at least it derives from somewhere
gwess' thing is not that weird. its like playing with dolls, its derivative of something real and normal turned into something strange and horrific which is what jojo does all the time
giorno piss is weird. i'll give you that, although the way its phrased makes it more bizarre than it actually went down cus the implication is that giorno didnt drink piss and that the jellyfish sucked it up he just wanted to look cool so he didnt get fucking owned. like in execution its a little less strange but when u say it outloud its weird
secco human pet is normal. i mean thats a kink people do that
i'm not religious but jesus' corpse entering people and giving them powers i'm pretty sure there's some christian sect that genuinely believes that. in fact i would expect jesus to do that he has jesus powers
rat cube is normal. rats love cubes the rat had superpowers and it used them to make fun rat cube. this is not that weird
the rock human thing is weird bc it doesn't derive from anything. literally what the fuck does it come from what animal gets raised by wasps (other than wasps themselves) and while the idea of a rock human is based on the concept of carbon-based lifeforms (what if there was lifeform that WASNT carbon-based....!?!?) theyre still fucking weird like theyre normal humans but are rock... and have saran wrap eyeball abilities (or at least one of them does) like i cannot find the beginning point of it

everything you could (probably) ever need to know about c!zalcagon
in a far-future world, there lies a city within an endlessly-stretching wasteland. at least, thats what the people within the walls are told; the patrollers aren't allowed to discuss if, or what, lies beyond the horizon. this city is small, tightly packed within the walls, with few people roaming the streets and the only vibrant color residing in the flowerbeds around the largest building. the largest building, the divitiae, is a combined government building and research facility. science is the primary purpose of this city, for some military reasons only the most elite of elite know about. the scientific research and development within this facility are far from humane, and thus human clones must be used to avoid wiping out the population. but what exactly is this research? well, it's simple: the fusing of animal characteristics with the human genome. there are two main ways these characteristics can be manifested: transformative and persistent. persistent are simple in that a person can have some animal characteristics at all times, such as a tail or claws. a person can have multiple persistent characteristics. however, transformative characteristics are a bit different than persistent traits. since there are multiple characteristics that may be possible, scientists at the divitiae decided it would be most effective for a person with transformative characteristics to have the ability to shift each one independently, essentially allowing someone to pick and choose which traits they want to use. but there's just one problem: they can't get it to work. the cloned humans are very basic in appearance: smooth skin, plain brown eyes, short hair. they're produced en mass within tubes for experimentation. one of these humans, later to be known as zalcagon, would be a subject for testing multiple transformative characteristics within a human. out of all of the subjects, both before and after zalcagon, none succeeded. zalcagon didn't either, though. not in the intended way, at least. zalcagon is a multi-transformative clone human. they're the only subject that successful survived with multi-transformative traits, but they're flawed. whereas the original goal was to create multi-transformative humans that can pick and choose which traits are manifested at any times, zalcagon's traits are completely involuntary. this essentially means that, when zalcagon gets stressed in some manner, then random traits may manifest. usually these manifested traits are helpful in the scenario, but it's important to note that zal cannot choose when or how to transform. it just happens. for instance, if they are actively having a breakdown and wanna just get away, they will sprout wings (ender dragon) and fly away. if they are cornered, they will probably manifest obsidian claws (ender dragon + new world porcupine). so what all traits does zalcagon have? dragon's breath - a diluted ender dragon fireball. sort of like a sneeze but theyre spitting it out randomly.
eyes - despite being a cloned human, zal has green cat-like eyes. probably from the house cat genetics.
horns - jokingly described as mood ring horns. bear close resemblance to saiga antelopes. these horns are always present, but grow longer if zalcagon is distressed. they're long, swirled, and curve at a certain point when they get too long. at that point they start to more-so resemble a bighorn sheep's horns. the horns are sensitive to pain.
obsidian claws - non-retractable fingernail extensions. extremely sharp, as they are made of obsidian. probably prone to breaking since obsidian is brittle. obsidian is from ender dragon genetics while the claws themselves are from new world porcupines.
scales - tiny obsidian scales can appear in patches on zalcagon. derived from the ender dragon.
spikes - a rarer trait, but it does manifest on occasion. very similar to the european mantis in that they are tiny, no longer than half an inch, and protrude from the arms and legs all over.
tail - also a rarer trait. derived directly from a house cat, specifically of the maine coon breed. slightly longer than a foot. it's covered in long black fur, and yes, it can poof up.
wings - massive, deep-purple wings. very similar to the ender dragon. about 12 foot wingspan. they can wrap around zalcagon's whole body. slightly fire resistant, but not completely. tougher than skin but they can be damaged. zalcagon uses them for flight, but they also use them as a shield by wrapping the wings around themself. NOW how much trauma does zal have? lots
within the divitiae, zalcagon had to fight various opponents, primarily nonhuman. they don't like killing and multiple times have almost died from a refusal to fight. they have killed people. they have killed animals. they had to fight these opponents so scientists could observe manifested traits since zalcagon could not voluntarily manifest the traits. most of the time, zal would simply cower in the corner of the room, hiding behind their wings and refusing to fight back. on occasion, they would manifest claws and fight back a little. sometimes they would try to fight back but the opponent greatly outmatched them. either way, they were made in a lab and artificially aged up to about 12 years of age, so they didn't have a childhood. they are now in an age range of around 17-21, but it's unknown since they don't have a birthday.
also they use they/them because i dont know what reproductive anatomy they have. or if they have both. or just one. or theyre just smooth like a barbie doll. either way they give off genderless vibes.
tldr: zal can grow wings n claws n stuff and has trauma and backstory and LORE
#why is it so long jesus christ#zalcagon lore#zalcagon backstory#zalcagon#super original lore mhm mhm#this is my skrunkle. i give them trauma

what do u think abt the mandela catologue? personally im terrified but its one of those series thats like weirdly scary but hysterical in picture form. the amount of times ive seen a still of it and thought it was a meme is weirdly high. might just be the jerma memes tho.
i think i talked about it recently and my feelings on it are extremely negative LOL
like i think the only thing working in its favor IS that the images are creepy but even that was partly ruined for me upon discovering that the most frightening ones are. Literally just search results for "creepy police sketches'. which on one hand i think is a really great sourc for horror imagery and i LOVE appropriation (art definition lol) like that, but it feels cheap when its like "oh that is literally just a jpeg the author saved off of 'creepy police sketch' google image results, ive actually seen that one before"
like imo it has extremely few fresh ideas (oh my god things mimicking people but being Wrong its not like that has been dominating the online horror scene for the past decade or so), doesnt even slightly succeed as analog horror due to not even Attempting to be convincing as its analog medium, but not really trying to do anything else. and even aside from that it has all my typical pet peeves, like the horror equivalent of jingling keys in front of a baby bc the author either isnt confident in their own work or isnt confident in the audiences intelligence enough to allow any degree of subtlety.
#like to be slightly fair i am extremely hard to please irt horror and very little affects me anymore but theres#plenty of things that dont work on me but i still think are Good and this is not it#like it has extremely little substance beyond vhs glitches and lazy attempts at being creepy#and my thing is of Course nothing is 'original' everything is derivative but i think theres#derivative thats transformative and derivative thats not#i guess the apparent meta-narrative about like evil angels or satan or smth is................... different?
