18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI

warnings: swearing
“morning sleepy head.” Dennis teased as I stepped into the office. I flipped him off as I walked past. “Well then.”
“shove it finch. I don’t want to hear it.” I mumbled as I put my head down on my desk. “I had a shit night and I don’t need whatever brand of crap you’re shoveling today.” It was quiet afterwards and I inwardly sighed in relief.
“How was the date last night?” Nina asked as she perched on my desk. I groaned and she rubbed my back. “That bad huh?”
“the asshole decided that when I didn’t invite him up, it meant he could camp out in front of my building and call me every hour on the hour.” I said, peeking up at her. “I finally called the cops around two but I still didn’t get any rest until at least five because they had to interview me. But that’s not the worst.” Maya came over and leaned against finch’s desk as she listened. “I had not one. Not two. But three of the cops trying to hit on me. They wouldn’t leave until almost four. And that’s only because I asked for a supervisor. Who finally made them leave.” Nina bent over awkwardly to hug me.
“oh I’m sorry darling.” Nina said, rubbing my back.
"Like that's so bad." Dennis muttered. "Hot cops hitting on you? That should be a dream." There was a smacking sound and David crying out in pain. “What the hell was that for?!”
“shut up Dennis.” Maya said. “Come on. My office is finch free.” I nodded as I got up to follow the two of them.
“so when did you finally get to sleep?” Nina asked. I shook my head as I laid down on mayas couch.
“sleep? What’s that?” I asked, groaning as I put my arm over my eyes. Maya closed her blinds.
“why don’t you stay here and try to get some sleep?” Maya offered.
“we can run interference with Jack.” Nina said. “I’m sure Elliot will agree.”
“and we’ll find a way to keep finch quiet.” Maya said. I nodded.
“thanks guys.” I said, curling into myself on the couch. “I owe you.” Maya nodded as she headed towards the door. Nina patted my foot before leaving, maya closing the door behind them. I woke up later to the door opening again.
“sorry.” I groaned and rubbed my eye.
“don’t they tell you to leave me alone Dennis?” I complained as I sat up, glancing at my watch before pushing my hair back off my face.
“yeah. But I figured you would probably want something to eat when you got up.” He shrugged, placing the tray he was carrying on mayas coffee table. “Consider it an apology for earlier. Maya explained.”
“I thought I’d explained it well enough in the first place.” I raised an eyebrow at him as I stood up, stretching before wandering over to open the blinds.
“I was having caffeine withdrawal.” He shrugged. I rolled my eyes as I looked out over the city. We fell into silence. Dennis appeared at my shoulder, holding out a muffin. “Here. You must be hungry too.” I nodded in thanks before taking a bite. “Not a bad view.”
“no it’s not.” I agreed. Dennis glanced at me as I continued eating.
“hey i wanted to apologize for this morning.” He said. “I don’t mean half of what I say. Especially when I’m just saying something to be an ass.”
“I know.” I said, throwing the wrapper in the trash. “Didn’t help I was running on maybe three hours of sleep over two days.” Dennis chuckled.
“no it didn’t.” He agreed. “Can I take you out? As an apology and…a date?” I turned to look at him, furrowing my eyebrows at him. “I can promise I won’t stalk you after or make you call the cops who will flirt with you or camp out outside your apartment until you let me up.” Dennis tried to joke.
“you want to go out with me?” I asked. Dennis nodded, a soft smile on his face.
“I’ve like you for a while. It’s just you were always going on dates. Figured now was the chance to ask.” Dennis admitted. I smiled softly at him.
“sure. Wanna leave after work?” I asked. Dennis smiled at me and offered me his arm.
“or we could blow off the rest of the day and go now.” He offered. I took his arm with a laugh.
“you really think Jack will let us?” I asked. Dennis smiled.
“hey you’re the one who got paid to sleep.” He reminded me.
“touché.” I said as I walked with him out the door.

Imagine everyone at Blush forgetting your birthday, except Dennis.
Nina breezed past you, balancing a latte and a scarf that looked expensive enough to pay your rent. “Morning,” she greeted casually, completely oblivious.
Jack emerged from his office just long enough to bark something about deadlines before disappearing again. Even Maya, who normally checked in with you about the tiniest details, was too busy bickering with Elliott over font choices to notice you hovering nearby.
You told yourself it didn’t matter. It was just a birthday, after all. Adults didn’t need balloons or streamers…or acknowledgment.
Still, it stung.
You tried not to let it show as the hours dragged on. When Dennis appeared at your desk, you assumed it was for another ridiculous task.
“Hey,” he said, dropping a paper bag onto your desk.
“What’s this?”
“Lunch,” he said, rocking back on his heels. “You always forget to eat when you’re upset.”
“I’m not upset.”
Dennis raised an eyebrow. “Sure. And Jack’s going to give me a raise for my sparkling personality.”
You opened the bag and found a cupcake inside, its frosting decorated with a tiny candle.
Your throat tightened. “You remembered?”
Dennis shrugged. “You only told me, like, three times last week.”
You laughed, and he grinned.
“Don’t worry about those guys,” he said, gesturing toward the chaos behind him. “They’re too self absorbed to notice anything outside their own drama. But me? I pay attention.” He sounded smug, but you didn’t mind.
“Clearly,” you replied.
Dennis pulled out a lighter and flicked it. “Make a wish.” You leaned forward, smiling for the first time all day.
As the flame went out, Dennis handed you a napkin. “Happy birthday, by the way.”
“Thanks, Dennis.”

Should you fight them? Flambeau edition
Book Flambeau:
No!!!!! Absolutely not!!! You will die!! The man is at least 6′4 and built like a tank, with a notable violent streak, a very short temper, and a habit of flinging people full bodily down flights of stairs, not to mention the man is a trained soldier, has fought and won multiple duels, and literally always carries both a sword and pistols everywhere with him for some reason. You will die, it’ll be your own silly fault, and Father Brown won’t even conduct your funeral if you were mean to Flambeau first.
Paul Lukas!Flambeau, from Father Brown, Detective (1934):
I mean you could, but why would you want to? Lukas!Flambeau never hurt a soul, you big meanie! He just wants to drink milk and pet puppies! Providing you’re not tiny or a weakling, then physically, yes, you could fight Lukas!Flambeau. But emotionally? Imagine the toll.
Bill Griffis!Flambeau, from The Adventures of Father Brown (1945):
Why not? He hasn’t really done anything to deserve it but he’s the All-American Flambeau, he can take it, and any injuries you give him will soon be nursed back to health by Father Brown and Nora the rectory housekeeper, given how he spends more time at the rectory than his own house.
Peter Finch!Flambeau, from Father Brown (1954):
Sure, by all means, go ahead, but I warn you. He’ll probably enjoy it, the kinky sadboy bastard man.
Dennis Burgess!Flambeau, from Father Brown (1974):
Burgess!Flambeau is a riddle wrapped in an enigma and a law unto himself, so this could really go either way. Feel free to take your chances if you feel lucky, but don’t come crying to me if he kicks your sorry arse.
Olivier Pierre!Flambeau, from Father Brown Stories (1984):
An interesting case, he's described as having the height, physical strength, and daunting build of book!Flambeau, but he has none of the temper or violent streak. Fight him if you must, but there’s a chance you’ll throw a punch and only succeed in injuring your own hand.
John Light!Flambeau, from Father Brown (2013):
You not only could but you should. Go ahead, fight him. Just do it.

Justin Langer has gone all new age during Australia’s rebuild
It is not exactly how you imagine that Dennis Lillee, Rodney Marsh and Ian Chappell may have warmed themselves up to destroy the Poms with the world. at stake.
There, on the outskirts of Edgbaston before Monday's training, Aaron Finch and his side were in a circle and barefoot in what seemed more like a spiritual gathering than an international cricket team preparing for Thursday's seismic semi final against England.
It was left to Peter Handscomb to try and explain how the outside world might look like different, daring to suggest, rather eccentric, way to warm up.
The squad of Australia were depicted in a circle on Monday and barefoot in Edgbaston Monday was in a circle and on Monday barefoot on Edgbaston "
The Australian team was pictured on Monday sat in a circle and barefoot on Edgbaston
The team also went around the field to take the energy for their semi-finals "
in the energy for their semifinal
Australia has been revived and pitched since and just pitched since Justin Langer became head coach “/>
& # 39; You are doing a lap and you can see all the different views from the ground and where you are riding and it gives you an opportunity to record everything before it starts Thursday. Then we sat down and exchanged some very good stories. "
But it was mandatory to leave shoes and socks behind?
& # 39; Yes, it was and it was fun & # 39 ;, Handscomb said. & # 39; You get a feeling of the grass on your feet and feel the positive and negative energy flowing through the earth and coming out of the earth & # 39;
Excuse me? & # 39; It's a nice feeling and you walk around with the group and laughs while you talk. It was just a fun moment. "
<img id = "i-28d01d5e2a5aba4d" src = "https: //i.dailyma il.co.uk/1s/2019/07/08/21/15792730-7226147-image-a-49_1562618937011.jpg "height =" 458 "width =" 634 "alt =" Langer's coaching methods include motivational messages and personal messages "class" conversations Langer's coaching methods include motivational messages and heart-to-heart chats "
] Langer's coaching methods include motivational messages and heart-to-heart-chats
The only thing missing was the Australians weaker than hot coals – or even some warm sandpaper – but it wasn't surprising that they giggled. We can only guess what they were laughing about, but he didn't need Handscomb's idea about the identity of the man behind this alternative training method.
The Australian coach, who took the helm from Darren Lehmann in the aftermath of the barn-gate crisis, is best known as half of the great opening partnership with Matthew
This is a motivational man groceries scribbled throughout his basement in his house and such a proud Australian of whom he was eleven insisted that he take his baggy green cap to bed with him. When he succeeded Lehmann, he spoke about the need for & # 39; elite partnership & # 39 ;.
Now, Langer & # 39; grounding & # 39 ;, also known as & # 39; earthing & # 39 ;, brought to the Australian party as a way to stop Eoin Morgan and
His old mate Hayden, indeed, was known in his playing days to sit barefoot near the field for a day of play to visualize what lies ahead and probably has enough positive energy running through his feet. Now Langer is busy.

Australia was at least able to recall positive crickery memories in which the earth was a bit of ground. they have not won since 2001.
Handscomb said: & # 39; It was just an open and honest conversation and it was great that some of the boys poured out their heart about what it meant to go to the semi-final to go. It was about their first memories of growing up a cricket and it was a lot of fun. & # 39;
But will all that be good for Australia in a fortress in Edgbaston, where England has won the last 10 games in all formats?
& # 39; Cool. I didn't know that stat, & # 39; said Handscomb.
Australia is doing well in the band, but England has won the last 10 games in Edgbaston
Australia is entering good shape to the draw, but England has won the last 10 matches at Edgbaston
What about you now? & # 39; Now I really don't make a difference. Those games are in the past. We know the crowd here is great. It can be electric and they will let you know everything about it. We know that this audience will be difficult, but that will get us going. "
It is safe to say Trevor Bayliss, an old school Australian who has a different personality and approach to Longer than is possible,
[Bayess] Bayliss & # 39; case, unfortunately, remained private on Monday, but Joe Root, a skilled diplomat, knew the way of
When asked on Monday if he had been told that the trial was being used earlier in cricket, Root: & # 39; I don't, no. Each of them is important to them. They can prepare how they want. We will ensure that we are ready in our own way. & # 39;
More conventional training will begin seriously on Tuesday evening in Edgbaston, but one thing can be said for Australia's unorthodox approach to Edgbaston – at least they didn't hide in their pants.

Broadway Pop!
I have fallen in love with Funko Pops figures -- they're so odd but so wonderful. In recent months, Funko has released several Little Shop of Horrors figures, as well as two versions of both Danny and Sandy in Grease, and big collections of figures from Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin. But wait, there's more! I was fortunate enough to happen upon Amanda Tang's Broadway Pop store on Etsy, and it was like I had died and gone to musical theatre memorabilia heaven. She has custom Funko Pops for Hamilton, Newsies, Wicked, Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera... But it gets even better. You can commission special orders from her! Would anyone really think I could have that information and not act on it? I couldn't help myself. So I asked Amanda to create a trio of figures for me, Billy Crocker, Reno Sweeney, and Moonface Martin, in the original 1934 Anything Goes. See the photo above to see how cool they turned out! Amanda is totally open to suggestions... About the same time, I discovered the very cool work of Brian Reedy, brother to New Line's resident graphic artists, Matt Reedy, who's been designing all the New Line posters since 2006. That family clearly has good artsy genes. Brian's already made a Hamilton woodcut, and an Audrey II linocut, both incredibly cool and both for sale in Brian's Etsy store. Having found both these artists, I've been thinking about all the ways my artist friends could make money creating musical theatre related merchandise. There's already a ton of it on Etsy, though most of that is uninspired. And there's a large, easy-to-target fan base eager for cool stuff like that. That fan base probably skews younger (which is good for the art form!), but it also includes people my age. I started thinking of all the musical theatre characters that would make excellent Funko Pops or linocuts. To work, the character needs a pretty distinctive, iconic look, that translates clearly into these different, necessarily simpler forms. And that made me think about what characters in musical theatre have a look that transcends the original actor who played the role -- or in some cases, characters whose look was set forever by the original actor.
For instance, even with the simple, almost expressionless faces of the Pops, a red sequined dress and red feathered headdress are unmistakably Dolly Levi, at that one specific moment, coming down the stairs of the Harmonia Gardens during the intro to the title song. The same is true of Cassie's red rehearsal clothes, Mame's gold jumpsuit and short haircut, Mrs. Lovett's bizarre side curls... Once I started thinking about this, I couldn't stop. Imagine Pops and/or linocuts, and/or whatever other things we can dream up, depicting... Dolly Levi (in the red dress!) In a set of three! Carol Channing, Pearl Bailey, and Streisand (in gold)! Maybe also Bette? Lola from Kinky Boots Evan Hanson from Dear Evan Hansen Zaza (and Albin?) from La Cage aux Folles
Ti Moune from Once on This Island
Tevye from Fiddler on the Roof
Don Quixote from Man of La Mancha
Stew from Passing Strange Mame Dennis from Mame (in the gold jumpsuit!)
Cassie from A Chorus Line Princess Winifred from Once Upon a Mattress Charity Hope Valentine from Sweet Charity Pres. Jackson from Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson Ethel Merman, as a career-spanning set Including Reno in Anything Goes, Annie in Annie Get Your Gun, and Rose in Gypsy Chita Rivera, as a career-spanning set Including Anita in West Side Story, Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie, Velma in Chicago, and the Spider Women in Kiss of the Spider Woman Porgy and Bess from Porgy and Bess Jeremy, Michael, and the Squip from Be More Chill Tracy and Edna Turnblad from Hairsprayy Mother and Coalhouse Walker Jr. from Ragtime Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins from My Fair Lady
Prof. Harold Hill and Marian the Librarian from The Music Man
Rev. Purlie and Lutiebelle from Purlie Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked Hedwig and Yitzhak from Hedwig and the Angry Inch J. Pierpont Finch and JB Biggley (and Rosemary?) from How To Succeed in Business... Sally Bowles and the Emcee (and Fraulein Schneider and Herr Schultz?) from Cabaret Do two sets -- the original 1966 look AND the 1990s revival look Berger, Claude, and Hud from Hair Laurie, Curly, and Jud from Oklahoma! Anna and the King from The King and I Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart from Chicago Capt. Macheath, and Mr. & Mrs. Peachum from Threepenny Not sure which version... the original 1928 Berlin production? The famous 1950s off Broadway production? The sexy 1970s Public Theatre production...?
The whole cast of the original Fantasticks The three (four?) Dreamgirls
The whole cast of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee All the leads from Spring Awakening All the leads from In the Heights All seven leads from Rent All the leads from Avenue Q All the leads from Into the Woods I could keep going. For a long time. But I won't. I'm sure by now you have a dozen in your head that you can't believe I left off my list. I feel your pain. But also, I'm thinking, how much would I (and you) LOVE Pops and linocuts of Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Sondheim, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bill Finn, Pasek and Paul, Joe Iconis, Kander and Ebb, and sure, why not, Rodgers and Hammerstein. Although personally, I'd love to have a Rodgers and Hart set! And while I'm on a roll, also Hal Prince, Tommy Tune, Bob Fosse, George C. Wolfe, Michael Bennett, Susan Stroman, Michael Mayer, Michael Greif, George Abbott, George M. Cohan... Just think of the thousands of dollars I could blow if all of these were available. Maybe this post isn't such a good idea after all... I'll just leave it there for now... But stop by and see Amanda and Brian and their cool work...! Long Live the Musical! Scott from The Bad Boy of Musical Theatre http://newlinetheatre.blogspot.com/2019/01/broadway-pop.html

A new multi media campaign called Crystals As Crowns recently launched in Toronto. It’s a groundbreaking black youth resilience media campaign seeking to reduce negative conceptions of self and low self-esteem among black and racialized youth. The campaign includes empowering imagery of youth in control of their futures and rooted in a self-determined imagination, the “Crystal Mind.”
Featuring videos directed by Hyghly Alleyne (The Weeknd / XO) this campaign highlights 10 youth influencers from 10 diverse communities across the GTA (including Jamestown, Rexdale, Black Creek, Jane-Finch, Chester Le, Flemingdon Park, Crescent Town, Mount Dennis, Kingston-Galloway, Crown Point and Jamesville) and Hamilton and highlights their stories of resilience and how they’ve overcome barriers and life challenges.Through poster ads on the TTC, social media videos and radio PSAs, this campaign will reach over 32,000 black youth in the GTA and Hamilton and over 530,000 people across Ontario.
One of those influencers shared how he defied his own odds and why he wanted to be involved with this campaign.
My name is Q Tyler Aarons-Montague. I am the first born of 9 children. Growing up in various low income areas of Toronto an entrepreneurial mind was always an asset for me. It helped keep me out of trouble and allowed me to express my need to help those around me. In fact every venture I started was rooted in helping other people. From the age of 12 I did babysitting, dog walking, shoveling snow, odd jobs. Typical things a young person can do in their neighbourhood to make money.
As I aged my ambitions evolved, I started seeing new problems that could be solved and started flexing my creative muscles to come up with solutions.
At the ripe old age of 15 I started a company called Books By Kids For Kids. It was a fun and interactive way to get kids more interested in reading and writing. By using writing prompts and images to help them tell and share stories, they could connect with other youth and build a network of books made by kids for kids to enjoy. My main goal was to help build reading and writing comprehension in low income neighbourhoods where literacy is often not the focus. Sadly it failed. I did not have the resources and guidance as a 16 year old to make it a reality. So the website was closed, books were canceled and I was on to the next thing.
Fast forward and I am now 17. I am helping elderly folk in my neighbourhood with odd jobs. Everything from cleaning, moving and lawn work, to business development consulting, social media and networking advice. Tyler’s Odd Jobs serviced a large area of Scarborough and helped feed my desire to help people. This was also the year that Body by Chosen had come to Chester Le and were giving free classes to youth on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
It changed everything.
I started training with calisthenic athletes in my neighbourhood. These guys pushed me so hard and they sparked something in me. They showed me that you can use fitness as a way to give back to communities. That same year my best friend’s mom told me that I have the type of personality that would be good for life coaching and that I should pursue it. Then it clicked. Life coaching + fitness = personal trainer. I had the equation down and knew what I wanted to do.
I started studying Kinesiology using an open source university online and applied to college for a 2 year fitness and health promotion program. The summer before the course started is when I had the dream about Release The Beast Fitness. The dream was about a fitness company that was fun, playful, and would make movement second nature. A company that helped you feel like you were a kid again; 5 years old, running around on the playground with no worries. A time before bills and aches and pains, and limiting beliefs. In this dream I decided to start mapping out the business plan. Peeling myself out of bed I stepped to my white board and wrote the business plan. Every step that needed to be taken to make this vision a reality flowed out of me effortlessly. It was as if someone was guiding my hand. In this state of flow something was eating at me, it didn’t feel quite right. It took a moment to decipher what this feeling was. Then it hit me. “Wake up you are still sleeping” the realization gave me a rush of energy. I jolted awake, eyes wide, alert I sprung out of bed. Now in the real world I wrote out everything I could remember from the dream.
When I started my studies the dream got bigger, and after my studies I knew it was time to make it a reality. Release The Beast Fitness was my heart’s song guiding me down a path to help more people in a substantial way.
So what exactly is Release The Beast Fitness? It's a fitness and wellness company that strives to put you back in your skin, to ground you, while being playful, educational and fun. We strive to help you put your best foot forward in life by helping you build confidence, discipline, and self-mastery. We want to help you become more, so you have more to give back to others. We do this through Blogs, Videos, Podcasts and in-person and online-coaching.
Currently operating out of Toronto, we service folks across the globe from Italy and Chile, to Vancouver and right here at home in Toronto. RTB was launched January 1st 2018 and is steadily gaining traction in the fitness community. We recently partnered with Jack.org and are proud to announce that a percentage of every dollar earned is donated to help raise awareness and educate folks about mental health and wellness. And that is our journey so far. I am excited to see what the coming years have in store.
If you want to share your fitness journey with us and release your inner beast, then check out Releasethebeastfitness.com or follow us on social media @ReleaseTheBeastFitness.

PANELS HOSTED BY IMAGE COMICS:
Thursday, October 4 @ 6:30 – 7:30 PM, Room 1A18 Image Comics: We Believe in Horror Image Comics has ushered in a new era of horror with cerebral writers and visceral artists elevating sequential-art dread to claustrophobic heights. From W. Maxwell Prince’s suburban doom in ICE CREAM MAN to Pornsak Pichetshote’s reflective haunted house boiler, INFIDEL, comics are evolving terror to new personal, socially minded levels. Join a roster of the most sinister storytellers including David F. Walker (BITTER ROOT), Matthew Rosenberg (WHAT’S THE FURTHEST PLACE FROM HERE?), Dennis Culver (BURNOUTS), and Will Dennis (editor on MOONSHINE, WYTCHES, GIDEON FALLS) to discover how they’re altering an entire genre.Friday, October 5 @ 2:45 – 3:45 PM, Room 1A24 Image Comics: We Believe in Vision Since its creation, Image has remained a bastion for creators to foster their biggest, boldest ideas. Join a vanguard of storytellers as they walk through their most daring projects and how they arrived there—including a surprise announcement. Join panelists Jason Aaron (SOUTHERN BASTARDS, THE GODDAMNED), Kieron Gillen (THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, DIE), Stephanie Hans (DIE), Gerry Duggan (ANALOG, DEAD RABBIT), Jen Bartel (BLACKBIRD), Joe Casey (MCMLXXV, JESUSFREAK), Daniel Warren Johnson (MURDER FALCON, EXTREMITY) and special guests for an introspective dive into the comics defining the future of the medium.
Saturday, October 6 @ 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Room 1A21 Image Comics Presents Deadly Class 101 In 2014, writer Rick Remender and artist Wes Craig unleashed a relentless tale of brutal vengeance and discipline in DEADLY CLASS, where the homework is homicide and the lectures are lethal. The neon-drenched world of Marcus Lopez Arguello and King’s Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts will soon debut as an original television series on SYFY, as the comic series continues to crank the pressure on a group of teens training to be career assassins. Join the creators of this groundbreaking comic as Remender, Craig, editor Sebastian Girner, and colorist Jordan Boyd recount the origins, development, and future of their transformational epic.
Sunday, October 7 @ 3:45 – 4:45 PM, Room 1A21 Image Comics Live Draw: Art Jam with Todd McFarlane, Wes Craig, and Mirka Andolfo Join us for a special live draw session, where a trio of Image’s most imaginative trailblazers each collaborate on one exquisite corpse-style illustration. Image co-founder Todd McFarlane (SPAWN), Wes Craig (DEADLY CLASS, THE GRAVEDIGGERS UNION), and Mirka Andolfo (UNNATURAL) will each contribute a segment to a kinetic digital canvas, while also discussing their work process and expansive histories. An experience designed to show off the sheer skill of Image’s line-and-shape maestros, stop by for an unforgettable experience.
