Dungeon: Sulgien's Sulphurous Tomb
After the ancient titan of fire was snuffed out, her children and followers interred her body in a burial mound that rivaled small mountains for size. It is said the earth itself wept over this cairn, and it's tears were volcanic fire that has never since cooled.
Adventure Hooks:
Whether it be a demiplane or stretch of hostile wilderness (as your campaign might need) the charred wasteland surrounding Sulgien's tomb has come to be known as the Ashmourn. Home to pyroclastic storms and rogue elementals, to say nothing of the rivers of lava or cinderswamps, the Ashmorn is an area all but the bravest steer well clear of. This has made it the perfect home for a band of fire genasi nomads who survive by raiding other lands, then retreating where more flammable folk would never dare to follow. Their leader claims decent from Sulgien herself, and seeks a means to resurrect the mighty titan so that she may again hold dominion over all that burns.
Legends say the gods struck down Sulgien because her rampages threatened the very foundations of the world. The legends are almost right. While it's all to easy to imagine a fiery giant destroying everything in her path, Sulgien's threat lay not only in her strength and battle prowess, but also in her power as an oracle: With some effort the titan of fire could pronounce a destiny and sear it's shape upon the world, impossible to avert or contradict. It's also said that her prophecies were etched upon the inner walls of her tomb, knowledge that mystics of all kind would pay a party generously to obtain.
Stories speak of Sulgien's blade, the bane of gods and monsters alike, which struck apart foes with the violence of the rupturing earth. Someone, perhaps the party, or one of their foes, might be able to obtain a fraction of this power should they be able to reach the titan's burial chamber and touch their weapon to hers. This is easier said than done, not only would one need immunity to fire to even consider the task, it would also require swimming to the bottom of a magma flooded burial chamber as well as laying hands on a weapon that could survive the transfer of primal energy. Even adamantium melts under such pressure, but should someone manage the impossible they will be in possession of a weapon that can carve pantheons.

Noir's DemiPlane (Ideas & Remastering)
I wanna change some bits of Noir's (My TES/Demiprince sona) wird little realm thing. This includes the name of the place. (Like the OFFICIAL name of it)
Heres some things I wanna add:
Considering Noir is technically a mortal, her demiplane should be similar to the mortal realm, but instead of being filled with people, it's filled with spirits.
The demiplanes itself will have few areas in it that while not huge, are big enough for at least some spirit beings to exist/live in.
Its almost always sunny & kinda cool, but can & will become a dangerous place if any of the prisoners do escape from their forever boxes onto the peaceful land.
Yes there is a prison, it's gonna be under Noir's Lil Basement/House thing, each prisoner have their own room pretty much designed for them. The rooms while not huge, are spacious enough. (Bcs Noir isn't some cruel individual who likes seeing others suffer, but does like it when bad ppl get what they frikin deserve. By thT i mean getting bonked on the head)
The homes on the surface will look similar to the ones from her home town but with a slight twist to them. (Bcs due to her past experiences they won't look 100% purely accurate. & that's on purpose)
The spirits there will actually have jobs. (Bcs idk Noir wants them to at least do smtn, & no they aren't hard jobs. Just simple jobs they can do. (Example of 2 spirits having jobs is Petrus & his lizerd wife.. Dia)
These however are just MY ideas. Most of these ideas will be scrapped in the later future if they don't work with what I'm trying to do.

y'all I am having a LOT of fun building Daggerheart characters on Demiplane (it's free)
I've got a rogue I built to level 10 who, while in low light or darkness, has an Evasion of goddamn twenty-two.
Now building a sword-and-board warrior, which is my idea of the "baseline" character for high fantasy tabletop

Dnd Spells: Demiplane
Demiplane is a level 8 Conjuration spell for Sorcerer Warlock and Wizard. Casting Time is 1 action Range is 60 feet Requires a Somatic Component Duration is 1 hour.
You create a shadowy Medium door on a flat solid surface that you can see within range. This door can be opened and closed, and it leads to a demiplane that is an empty room 30 feet in each dimension, made of wood or stone (your choice).
When the spell ends, the door vanishes, and any objects inside the demiplane remain there. Any creatures inside also remain unless they opt to be shunted through the door as it vanishes, landing Prone in the unoccupied spaces closest to the door’s former space.
Each time you cast this spell, you can create a new demiplane or connect the shadowy door to a demiplane you created with a previous casting of this spell. Additionally, if you know the nature and contents of a demiplane created by a casting of this spell by another creature, you can connect the shadowy door to that demiplane instead.

Looking at Roll20's New D&D Character Sheet Beta
I spent Wednesday evening poking around the new Roll20 character sheet beta, and I've got a few thoughts on it in today's blog post. #5eSRD #Roll20
I originally posted these in some threads on social media, but I wanted to put these thoughts all in one place, and hopefully a place that doesn’t get washed away too quickly. If you’ve already seen this, thanks for checking in, again. Just as a head’s up, I hadn’t found the infographic for the rollout yet, so the fact that you can’t update characters from the 2014 sheet to the 2024 sheet is…

Jubilex, Lord of Ooze. Makes slime, summons slime, controls all slime, and is an incredibly corrosive slime constantly expelling poison. Can also restrain, of course. Here's a fun fact, despite what everyone seems to think, Jubilex is one of the most knowledgeable and intelligent creatures in existence. He knows the true names of the eldritch gods and thier goals, the true nature of the Abyss, and when desired can move with near unrivalled strategy. Creatures that even demon lords dare not speak in the presence of, and Juiblex reads them easily. None of that matters because he has 0 desire to use any of that. He hates politics and conversation and pretty much anyone that isn't a slime. Has no need for the power, he's happy to just roam his half of a domain and chuckle as he eats things. Just him and the oozes that feel happy just from being around him. He's older than any god or eldritch horror because he's stayed out of every conflict, just chilling with his slime friends. If you managed to pull this off...I mean, you'll be a legend just from getting him to like you enough, let alone if you survive.
#juiblex#while still extremely strong he used to be far more powerful.#Zuggtmoy just will not leave him the hell alone. Every other god and demon and horror has but not her. owns half his layer.#she tried to banish him from the abyss. wasnt strong enough and only got part of him. that part created an entire demiplane.#he's still in the abyss and strong enough to hold her off even while incomplete though.#dnd#dnd5e#DnD 5e#d&d#smash or pass#5e#monsters of the multiverse#mpmm

Azalin Reviews: Darklord Gwydion
Domain: Arak/the Shadow Rift Domain Formation: 575 BC; became the Shadow Rift in 740 BC Power Level:💀💀💀💀💀 Sources: The Shadow Rift (2e) , Gazetteer V (3e)
Though the Shadow Fey twins Loht and Maeve are the rulers of the Shadow Rift, it is the unseen Gwydion (aka The Sorcerer Fiend aka The Twilight) that earns the title of Darklord of this Domain. Gwydion’s true form is unfathomable, cloaked in shadows, squirming tentacles, cloven hooves, eyestalks and pretty much anything you can throw into one eldritch monster.
Gwydion’s past is as obscured in shadows as Gwydion himself. Legends say he was the spawn of the Plane of Shadow, forming out of it like pus from an overgrown boil. Others say he was once a lord of the Abyss, but so great was his power that the other Abyssal lords united in order to banish him into the Plane of Shadow. It is always wise to remember that legends are told and maintained by those that hold power and though there may be some truth in these tales, the whole truth has yet to be uncovered. There is no denying the immense, near god-like power Gwydion holds. A pity he cannot lift a single tentacle to use it these days. Gwyidion drew the ellefolk into the Plane of Shadows for he required subjects to obey, adore, and respect him. For what is it to rule without adoration? To subjugate them to him, Gwydion infused the ellefolk with darkness from his realm and transformed them into the Shadow Fey. The first born of the Shadow Fey were the Erlking’s children, Loht and Maeve.
Gwydion named the Erlking, Arak, as his seneschal and commanded the Shadow Fey to create a massive Obsidian Gate so he could travel to other worlds and conquer new people and lands. Gwydion’s reasoning for doing so amount to a massive ego and extreme boredom. Fear drove the Shadow Fey to abide by their Master’s commands. Secretly, however, with Arak leading them, they plotted against Gwydion. After centuries of work, the Obsidian Gate was complete and Gwydion directed his armies to pass through it to begin his subjugation of whatever world lay beyond. Foolish, really, to plan to lay siege against the unknown, but for a near god, Gwydion does not possess much in the way of foresight.
As they passed through the gate, Gwydion began to realize it was not his armies, but the Shadow Fey under the illusionary magic of their mages and they were escaping him in mass. Descending upon his wayward people, Gwydion found his path blocked by Arak who had donned his Regalia. This Regalia is made up of nine different magical items and granted Arak enough power to stand against Gwydion until the last of his people fled through the gate, but not nearly enough to defeat him. It also grants the one wearing the Regalia the power to open the Obsidian Gate. For a brief moment, Arak found an opening and pushing Gwydion backwards, Arak ran to the gate. But just as Arak was inches away from his own freedom, Gwydion disintegrated the Erlking with a blast of energy. Though Arak did not survive to make it through the gate, his Regalia did.
The Regalia landed at the feet of Maeve and Loht. Loht was overcome with fear at his father’s demise, but Maeve held her ground and sealed the Gate before Gwydion could escape.
Despite all his power, Gwydion is mostly impotent; stuck in a vast nothingness between worlds. Though he has shown himself capable of influencing the Shadow Fey from his prison within a prison.
He influenced the events that led to Tristessa’s death and the Scourging of the Arak. He influenced Prince Loht of the Unseelie Court to believe his father was still trapped within the Obsidian Gate. When Loht opened the gate, Gwydion nearly escaped before Arak’s Crown was thrown within sealing Gwydion away once more. He almost escaped again during the Grand Conjunction, which resulted in his Domain pushing G'henna and Markovia out of The Core and the Arak becoming the Shadow Rift
If Gwydion was ever to escape it may make the ramblings of Bastion Teodorus Raines of the Church of Ezra in Nevuchar Springs, whom I’ve mostly ignored, make some sort of sense. Could Gwydion’s coming be the start of the Time of Unparalleled Darkness? Perhaps but I am far more interested in this Gate of his that sits on the footsteps of my Domain.

one nice thing about being a persona fan is that persona is just a word, that is used rather often, so you get to think ‘woah sick persona reference’ like every other day
#me when something says ‘apathy’ ‘cognition’ ‘change of heart’ or ‘shadow’: woah sick persona reference#me when a thing uses the jungian concept of the collective unconscious or similar as a literal magic demiplane or similar: woah sick pers—#i love seeking patterns ♡#rambles

I think it’s very possible that Trent had a minion feeding him information over the last 7 years (or at least eavesdropped on guards) but I also think it’s very possible that he doesn’t know shit. For all we know, Essek could have already been exposed to the dynasty and is in hiding. Trent’s threat to Caleb about Essek could have been so empty. I cannot wait for the 4-sided dive breakdown, I need to know ASAP
#critical role#cr spoilers#echoes of the solstice#shadowgast#fuck you trent#imagine if Liam says oh yeah Essek was exposed years ago#he’s hiding in my demiplane#Trent had no leverage#also don’t get my started on the double Caleb
