You know on her TV Tropes character page, it points out that wolves could be seen as her spirit animal (The trope: Animal Motif which is when an animal is used to represent a character, therefore I refer to it as "spirit animal").
The first one is the more obvious example, explaining how she is the Bad Wolf she had been hearing so much about during the first season/seires (I'm American, so I say "season").
A strange example, wolves. Her title as "Bad Wolf" came from the moment when she absorbed the time vortex to return to the Doctor and spread the words "Bad Wolf" so it will create the events of "The Parting of the Ways". In "Tooth and Claw", the host of the werewolf detects "something of the wolf" in her. When the Doctor hears the words "Bad Wolf" from Donna in "Turn Left", he immediately associates them with Rose and the time vortex.
But the second one points out that her personality reflects that of wolves.
On a symbolic level, wolves are known to be mates for life, something that reflects the relationship between Rose and the Doctor as she's among the few companions that the Time Lord had genuine feelings for and Rose finally had the closure she was looking for when the Doctor left her with the Meta-Crisis Tenth Doctor. Rose was the Doctor's most faithful companion, trying to alert him from the parallel universe and shared his duty of protecting the Earth from villains.
Rose is the only companion so far that there is semi-confirmation of the Doctor's feeling in return (I'm only a few episodes into the Twelfth Doctor's era, I know Eleven is heavily implied to have fallen for Clara and I believe that he did fall for her and that Twelve had feelings for her and vice-versa, and then Thriteen had something with Yaz but I don't know if it was recipocated, oh, and there's River but I had always felt like his relationship with River was more of a flirtation on his part.) Rose is the only one that the Doctor was full-on in love with, he was literally born out of his love for her. They deleted it from the episode but in "Born Again" he mentions how his accent is imprinted from Rose's. My love for this just barley outweighs my desire that he had had a Scottish accent. I wish Fourteen got a Scottish accent! I loved the Good Omens episode where Crowley put on a Scottish accent.
"like a chick hatching from an egg"
What I mean from all this is that the Tenth Doctor was never as happy with Martha or Donna as he was with Rose until he saw her again. I know Fourteen says something about never being as happy before but come on, look at those eyes.

🌿 Did you know? In the early 1970s, Congress passed three of our most important environmental laws—the National Environmental Protection Act, Clean Air Act, and Endangered Species Act—with overwhelming bipartisan support.
Tumblr media
💧 The Clean Water Act faced a tougher path to passage. President Nixon vetoed it—but public support was so strong, Congress overrode the veto the very next day!
🤔 Why did these landmark laws have such strong bipartisan support back then?
🔥In the late ’60s and early ’70s, the environment was in crisis—rivers burned, oil spills made headlines, and smog filled the air. Rachel Carson’s Silent Spring (1962) had helped spark a national movement, and public pressure pushed lawmakers from both parties to act, protecting our air, water, and wildlife.
🌎 Today, we’re facing a new kind of crisis—these and other essential environmental laws that for decades have protected our health, communities, and wildlife are under attack.
📢 But if this history teaches us anything, it’s this: our voices are our power—and when we speak up together, we can have an impact!
✊ Now, more than ever, your voice is needed! This Earth Month, join us in urging Congress to protect our essential environmental laws! Click here to take action today!

Danny Fenton, a new receptionist at Wayne Enterprises:
Vicky Vale, knowing Danny Is Not Ready for her: So, where does Bruce Wayne leave for during his meetings? A new woman? Man? Trouble in the family?
Danny "Town Menace Phantom" Fenton, done with Genderbent Wes Weston: To fuck your mom.
Bruce's experienced receptionist that left for 6 seconds: okay, Danny no--
Danny, who knows something's up with the Wayne family: and your Dad, because we support the LGBTQIA community. Thank you and leave.

Oh, Aang, you're really in it now...
This is Zu—I mean, Jian Li and Katara's second meeting in the Kyoshi Warriors AU. The first proper one, anyway.
Once they get through a minor difference of opinion or two (“I can carry my own basket!” “Never said you—” “I'm not weak!” “I didn't—” “Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean—” “Would you listen for once, woman?!” ) they'll become nearly inseparable.
For now Jian Li will carry Katara's basket all the way to the Kyoshi Warriors' dojo and, once there, they'll mercilessly tease Sokka when they see him in uniform.

DP x DC Prompt
There are no more heroes.
Well, okay. Rewind a bit.
Danny has been doing the hero thing for a while now. He’s had a big reveal; everyone has accepted him (including his parents), the GIW disbanded, the Anti-Ecto acts repealed, and generally, everything is going great. Some of the A-Listers are even training as junior ghost hunters to help give him a break from his rogues! (Being Ghost King makes things hectic sometimes, and he just needs the extra help. Sue him!)
The point is, literally nothing is wrong with Danny Phantom’s afterlife.
And then Valerie Gray, the Red Huntress, disappears in front of his eyes.
Danny is baffled! She’s just…gone! Valerie just popped out of existence, like she was never there. But no matter how hard he searches in the Ghost Zone, he can’t find her soul anywhere. His core isn't broken in grief. So she’s not dead. Which is good. So then, where is she?
Some of the others come forward with ideas on how to find her. A few ghosts volunteer to go out into the mortal realm, an area Danny had declared off-limits, to see if she was out there. Danny approves it. He rounds up some of the friendlier (i.e., discreet) ghosts and Amity Parkers and demolishes the outside travel ban.
So everyone spreads out, looking for their dear frenemy and teammate. But it becomes apparent very quickly that something is wrong with the rest of the world.
There are no more heroes.
Every single living superhero on the face of the Earth has just…vanished. Villains are running amok; the countries are in chaos! Some aliens are invading Earth, mythical deities are trying to take over, and society is crumbling to the ground. Everything is on the brink of collapse.
Well, Danny was still there. And so were his people. They were pretty spread out, so could they just…take up the mantles? He also knew where to find the souls of dead heroes in the Zone; surely they wouldn't mind coming out of retirement for a little bit, especially if they couldn't die again. Oh! And that skeleton army leftover from Pariah Dark's reign might be useful in repelling those invading forces.
Honestly, there were more than enough hands to go around! And with the heroes gone, Danny didn't mind letting everyone out for a little break, as long as they followed his rules. They wouldn't stop the search for the other heroes, but hopefully, when they found them, the heroes wouldn't mind Danny's intervention too much. :)
In other words:
Someone fucks up, and all of Earth's living heroes are either wished out of existence or are whisked away to some far-off realm where Danny hasn't checked yet. In the attempt to figure out what's going on, Danny lets the dead run amok over the Earth as they search for clues. The skeleton army repels the invading armies, the souls of dead heroes deal with the world leaders, and his rogues and other Amity Parkers set up shop in place of famous heroes, trying to get the cities under control again.
Basically, they just do their best to keep everything from imploding until the Justice League and others are back.
(And why is it that Danny hasn't disappeared? Well, whatever caused everyone to go poof! only affected living heroes. Anyone heroes that were dead in the first place, or even just half-dead, stayed behind.)
#pondhead blurbs#danny phantom#dpxdc#reveal gone right au#ghost king au#for plot reasons#it doesn't count if the hero had died and then came back to life#lots of heroes would still be around then#but this is me pushing the halfa!jason todd narrative work with me here he deserves the fun#deadman is there too#and he's just thriving honestly. it's so nice to be around his own kind even if the world is ending#maybe ellie is whooshed away too cause she never technically died but she took up danny's moniker when he was crowned#vlad is ecstatic cause danny put him in charge of several states while they looked for clues including Wisconsin#skulker is replacing superman and just has a shitty S painted on his chest and just eats kryptonite like candy the first time he meets Lex#Kitty and Johnny take over in gotham and sam is now the new wonder woman#idk man just stupid stuff like this#the press is flabbergasted cause the fucking KING OF GHOSTS just showed up and he's 14 and just looking for some friends#Danny: hey guys sorry about the zombies and fire i'm just here to find my coworker and lil sister and maybe the other heroes#Danny: in the meantime i'll just let my army into the mortal realm to defend it while we figure out what's going on pls don't yell at us :)#the press: how do we explain this to the justice league when they come back. how do we explain that earth was saved by a 14 year old boy-#also idk which heroes are technically dead but are still kicking so if you feel like someone deserves liminal status slap it on them idc#some villains are trying for world dominance and some are just trying to find their buddies. their fight buds. where'd they go? :(#joker gets bitch slapped by a skeleton two days in and waylon becomes bffs with wulf#danny uses the watchtower as a base of operations and it's the only thing he doesn't want to give up when the heroes are back#i have no plot ideas beyond this#i just want everyone to be baffled that an army of the dead showed up while they were gone and just made sure everything stayed cool#later danny realizes he was technically the ruler of the world for a bit since his people were everywhere keeping the villains in check

Hot take but I think a lot more people would like Jason if they didn’t immediately jump on the hate train when they open Lost Hero to see his name instead of Percy. And I think the people who joke and meme the frankly wild overreaction of not seeing Percy (*gasp* how DARE he not be in ONE book) are partially responsible for a number of people who come into the series hating Jason.

Aragorn said, "You have my sword."
Legolas said, "You have my bow."
Gimli said, "You have my axe."
Gandalf didn't say, "You have my staff," because it's Gandalf, not his staff, that's powerful, and besides, I think it was pretty well established for the Hobbits by now that Gandalf was on their side.
But what did Boromir offer? He was, in a way, the odd one out. He was new to this whole Hobbit thing. He struggled to grasp the reason for this whole mission. Some may have been unsure at first if he was really dedicated. They may accuse him of being less noble than Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli, especially because he briefly fell to the Ring's influence.
But when all was said and done, what Boromir offered was the most touching. No, he didn't offer his sword or his shield or even the horn of Gondor. But in the end, in the moments that counted, even though Frodo wasn't there to see or hear it, Boromir's deeds declared:
"You have my life."

DP X DC PROMPT #25
(#) = Notes at the end of post
(*) = Just me building off of other ideas.
Family Reunion
Clockwork sends an adult Danny, newly appointed Ancient of Space, on a mission through time again. Except this time, it isn't located on Earth, but a distant planet he's never even heard of before. Clockwork didn't tell him any specifics on what he was supposed to do or when he was supposed to return to his own time, just to blend in and have an experience. He would know when it was time to return.
Needless to say, he has a blast! His core is bursting with happiness at getting the chance to explore this unknown corner of the universe with a sky full of constellations he's never seen and fascinating locals. Considering he might be here a while, he buckles down and learns all about their culture and their traditions and even eventually learns their language without having to use the two-way translator Clockwork gave him.
He spends decades there, not even having to worry about how he never appears to age, the people here being incredibly long-lived. However, he eventually meets someone. Someone he falls head over heels for. He gets married. He has kids. He watches them slowly grow into adults as well. It isn't until one of his sons informs him that he's expecting his own child(1) that Danny feels a tug at his core.
He ignores it, but over the course of a few weeks, it's gone from the occasional pull to a full-on yank at his entire being, along with a sense of dread that something was going to happen to this wonderful little planet. To his family.
He becomes restless and loses so much sleep, it's a miracle he can even stand. His family are worried for him, but he assures them that he's just feeling a little under the weather. One night, he's sat up in bed, unable to sleep again. His gaze is fixed lovingly on his spouse, but nonetheless sad.
He doesn't miss when all the soft sounds of the night stop and a green glow appears behind him.
"It's time to leave, isn't it?"
"Yes."
"There isn't any way I could stay? I can't bring them with me?"
"I'm afraid not. There are some things that can't be changed or stopped, even when they fall into your domain. I'm sorry."
"Why send me here just to make me abandon them like this? What was the point?"
Clockwork is silent, but when Danny turns to look at the ghost, he's gone.
Danny takes a few more precious days to spend time with his family. Kiss his spouse. Hug his kids. Feel the strong kicks of his grandchild he won't be there to witness the birth of.
The night he leaves, he places a letter on his spouse's nightstand, gently kisses their forehead, and disappears in a flash of green, never to be seen again.
Years later is when Danny gets the news. That the planet Krypton is no more and that his family is gone. He searched the Ghost Zone for them, but he never knew the location of Krypton in the cosmos. Their afterlife is beyond his reach, in a place that isn't even on the Infamap.
He nearly drowns himself in grief when he finds a sliver of reprieve in the form of a news broadcast. An extraordinary man in blue and red with the kryptonian symbol for such emblazoned on his chest is shown fighting off multiple enemies at once. He is the spitting image of his father and Danny as well.
He had a grandson. His grandson was alive.
(1) This was Kara, not Clark. Danny left before he even found out about Kal-El being in the oven, so there will be a misunderstanding at first. Then Kara pops up later, and Danny just bawls his eyes out that he had two surviving grandchildren without even knowing it this whole time. How he first meets either of them is up to you!
(*) What this means power-wise for Clark is yours to decide. As well as what Clark already knows about his grandfather from the stored information his father left him. What his father thought of Danny disappearing without a word is also up for you to decide.

Imagine the reason why Optimus is so focused on Earth isn't because of a noble, sentimental reason... it's because his Prime instincts/the Matrix is literally screaming that the planet is the only cage (blood and bone fueled by the cycle of death of its inhabitants howling, clawing, demanding for the right to exist) that's stopping a fully revived Unicron from consuming all life itself
There's no way he can realistically explain this is his faction or to any other Cybertronian, like who the hell would legimately believe that the Unmaker is within a random orangic, thriving planet in tiny pocket of the space-boonies?!

I think it’s funny that one of the primary conflicts of this season of Invincible is the fandom discourse of Batman and Steven Universe combined into one.
