Batfam: Dragon Riders

This was just a silly little idea I had. It's mostly just giving the Batfam (sans Barbara Gordon and Duke Thomas) dragons from HTTYD. If you want, imagine this as a crossover, with the HTTYD films as the past of the DCU, but minus all the dragons hiding out in the Hidden World. Anyway, since I don't have a plot but dragons and partners, I'll just get into it.

Up first is Jason Todd, with his female Skrill, Surge.

Then comes Dick Grayson and his male Sand Wraith, Duststorm or "Dusty" for short.

Cassandra Cain and her female Stormcutter, Silencer.

Tim Drake and his female Death Song, Melody.

Damian Wayne and his male Deathgripper, Sirocco.

And finally, Bruce Wayne with his female Flightmare, Banshee.

Hiccup has a fear of deathsongs.

Obviously he doesnt hate them, I dont think he has it in him to genuinely hate a dragon seeing as they're just wild animals playing their part in the food chain, but after almost being killed by a dragon that lures in and borderline brainwashes prey via sound it's hard not to see the similarities.

Part of why he had no moral dilemma or second thoughts about trapping the Melody Island deathsong in that cave at first. It's something that makes him feel deeply guilty because he's meant to be the dragon guy right? A bridge connecting humans and dragons, bringing peace between them, it's hypocritical of him to have this knee-jerk reaction, right?

Anyways so much untapped potential in Hiccup's ptsd surrounding the end of the first movie

Something i’ve noticed in rotbtd au’s is that people give Jack a lightfury? Which i get, but Light/nightfuries are not acclimated to cold weather longterm, especially snow.

Jack would have a snow wraith

Small, elusive, uses snow to its advantage and lives in snowy climates.

While i’m here, Rapunzel would have a death song, and Merida would probably have a razorwhip or a timberjack.
