drabble of regressor jason and cg alfred

"Master Jason, you don't have to help me clean up. If you would like, I can put on a movie instead." Alfred offered. A regressed Jason was fiddling with the loops on a garbage bag, trying his absolute hardest to make the bunny ears and tie it off with a focused pout on his face.

Alfred was truly flattered that Jason wanted to help, but he would much rather he spend his limited and precious time regressed enjoying himself than cleaning.

"Nope! I got it!"

Then again, Jason always had been the little helper as a child, washing dishes with him after dinner or helping him 'dust the high places', though he always suspected that was just an excuse to climb on the furniture.

"Aha!" Jason successfully tied the knot on the bag, and Alfred stepped in to take it from him and walked to the garage to throw it away in the bins.

When he returned, Jason was knelt precariously on top of the counters, putting glasses from the dishwasher into the cupboards he could have easily just stood to reach. Alfred shook his head fondly.

"Please come down, Master Jason. Let me get the cups. Why don't you put away the baking dish? That goes on a low shelf."

Jason huffed, but hopped off the counter anyway. "Fine, but the low shelfs are boring."

"I'm sure they are. But they're safer for children, aren't they?"

"I guess."

With Jason as a helper, they managed to get the kitchen neat and tidy in record time, racing to see who could wipe the counters down the best and the fastest. Jason won the title of fastest washer, but Alfred was most thorough. According to Jason that meant they both won and deserved a treat, so Alfred got them each two Oreos. Jason shoved both into his mouth in one bite.

"There. The kitchen is all clean, so now will you allow me to put on a movie?" Alfred asked.

"Mhm!" Jason nodded, cheeks stuffed with cookie, "Bigh Hero Sixth!"

He chuckled. "Excellent choice. And we don't talk with our mouths full. It's not polite."

"Mm! Sorry Athred!"

· Likes holding you close to his chest and whispering in your ear to make you go to sleep- is very advanced in the art of staying up late too make sure you get sleep- Alfred takes over when it becomes clear that Bruce needs sleep just as much as you do. He lays you down on your tummy and gently pats and rubs your back against your onesie to soothe you to sleep. He’ll play old records too.

· Bruce acts out the stories he reads to you. Literally. He can’t tell a story without setting up some sort of fortress and moving around it in a manner that makes you giggle. Anything to make you laugh.

· You hang off of him every chance you get. He doesn’t even have to be holding you for you to be hanging off of his shoulder or arm.

· You present to be the most well behaved little boy at the multitudes of dinner parties and charity balls that your dad hosts. Both Alfred and Bruce fret over you constantly but you manage to woo the crowd every chance you get.

· You prove to be a much better novice cook than your Dad, which he playfully sulks at before surprise picking you up and tickle attacking you.

· Not too much tv time- Alfred makes sure you’re always occupied whenever Bruce is away. Whether that be playing with toys or dancing on his toes to your favorite sounds with a wide smile on your face.

· Your sleep schedule is never really set. Whenever Alfred or Bruce puts you down to bed you end up sneaking down to the batcave, wide awake. · You’re homeschooled. Everyone knows that Bruce- millionaire playboy who invests so much in his company his workers are prim and pampered-is your caretaker. So it’s not wise to just send you out into the world thinking nobody’s gonna at least try to kidnap you because of who you are. Besides, you don’t like the attention it brings.

· When you’re regressed to smaller ages and don’t like to be away from your Dad you have a little spot carved out in the batcave. Alfred likes to put you in baby jail a lot- a room with all your favorite toys directly across from the kitchen which he can see into.

· In the summer you guys garden. A bunch. Carrots, peas (bleh), parsley, tomatoes, beans, potatoes, and much much more. You don’t necessarily like getting your hands dirty but it’s fun when both your dad and Alfred are around.

· You and your Dad go sit underneath a tree when it’s especially hot and just enjoy the breeze and sounds. You usually fall asleep in his lap while he reads. You’ve forced him to recognize early on that his life can’t just be all work and no play. And the fear of leaving you early on to fend for yourself is still there, a blight on many of his days with you. It’s not like they’re numbered- more the suddenness of it.

· Leaving you without him is similar to the suddenness of a slammed door and the resounding quietness afterwards. Just like his parents did. In the blink of an eye, a mere snap of a finger, a subsequent pulling of the trigger. It’s instant. But he can’t live his life in fear. Knowing that without you the sweetness of life wouldn’t be fully realized.

· That he’d miss out on so many silly moments that only you could come up and he be the benefactor of. Being Batman is not so much about avenging his parents deaths anymore, but protecting those kids who would otherwise be out of luck if he didn’t exist. In a way, he does it for you.

· It’s what makes him clench you that much tighter despite the heat and the cicadas. What makes him hold your hand tighter at those annoying dinner parties. What makes him feel just that much lighter when he’s around you. What makes him work harder when it comes down to the nitty gritty of being a vigilante.

· You have one stuffed animal despite your Dads insistence on buying you more. It’s well-loved and you make sure whenever Alfred goes to wash it that he’s very gentle despite just how many times he’s gone about the task of washing said stuffie.

· He loves spoiling you, whether it be coming home with sweets you like (macarons hands down.) or bringing you toys and pacifiers and babas. It’s frankly impossible to get him to stop spending money on you. You rarely ask for anything but when you do oh boy you better hope he doesn’t buy multiples of the exact same thing just for you.

· What you do have in multitudes is blankets. Dozens of them on you and your dads bed for you and Ace to snuggle into.

· Bruce and Alfred always like to remind you that they love you. For Bruce it’s a quick kiss on the cheek that he pulls you into. For Alfred, a squeeze of your hand whenever you guys are out (especially during the cold months) or an ask for a little hand when he’s baking a sweet treat.

· Bruce is always peeling or cutting your fruit you. He learned from Alfred and now just likes the mundanity that comes with plating cut up and small digestible foods on your cute little separated plate and placing it in front of you while your playing pretend with something he carved.

· You very often go to Wayne tower with him. You curiously mock and observe all the little human quirks about your dad that people don't tend to pick up on.

note: There are different renditions of Batman everywhere. This specific rendition (The Batman, 2004) follows a younger, more naive Bruce Wayne who is just settling into his role as Batman- thus my headcannons might seem a bit out of character from the one you might be used to. However, this one, is not. This Batman is one I’ve known in particular for a very long time (been watching and rewatching this one since I was 14) and thus I write more about him because that’s what I feel comfortable with. He isn’t out of character, he’s just a different version.

I feel like Damain would sometimes act down right childish sometimes because of how robbed he was of his childhood and sometimes he would be more angry at the world. He likes to keep his childish side under lock and key in his room where he can run around, giggle and kick his feet.

One day he gets this bout of childish feelings in the night, nobody was at home so e felt it safe to let free and besides it's not like Alfred didn't know. He make snacks out of potatoes and made some juice and placed it in a cup with a straw. He went into the living room, not one commonly used one of the ones they often forgot but had a good big t.v and pulled blackets and pillows all over, he pulled up the door and not locked it and set nigh lights around and closed the curtains.

He would run around the room and watch cartoons. He would lay down and kick pillows in the air then hug them with a big stupid grin. On the t.v you could see glitter force being played making the room seem more lively. He forgot about time feeling free as birds in the sky in his fuzzy jacket and shorts and fuzzy socks.

He feel asleep there without realising it and then the next thing he knows he wakes to voices and shushing. His eyes shaped open and he jumped up but not too far hands kept him down. He looked around to see him surrounded by his worst fear he would want super boy to beat him at something before this. His family found him and his guilty pleasure. His father was holding him and the others were watching him like he was an caged animal at the zoo.

"I will not explain my self to any of you and you will never see this again "

And they didn't not on purpose after finding out Tim and Jason teased him for like a week and then it was quite too quite.

He should have ran when he had the chance, because enow they are treating him like a child. Attempting to bait him with lollies, and sweets. Grayson picks him up more and more hs now has to run before he dose and the others join him. He was 11 for God's sake. He did not need to be placed in someone's lap or have people Attempting to feed him from hand.

Yes feed him from hand, all the time Tim's eating more backseat he wants to feed damian Jason visits more with what ever he baked and won't leave until he gets to put something in famains mouth, and oh the horror the snacks. His father the worst of them would get him tired then durring dinner place him on his lap and feed him his dinner .

He was not a baby! Fuck you all! Now they bring toys and soft things. Now he was getting babied and he snapped. One day he snapped and they pulled back for a bit. Only a bit. They became Ansty and jumpy. Very jumpy almost killed a few and for a specific person killing a lot more. He did some research. They became caretakers. The person they were caring for wasn't letting them take care if them and it was affecting them. He called bullshit at first but he tested it out with grayson. He sat in his lap for dinner and the whole table Glared at him and dick peened like a peacock. Look at me I got the baby! Everyone because more violent and then he tried it with steph. She carried him around and everyone seemed to have become pissy at her. I won the baby! He wanted it to end so durring dinner he sat down and sighed "Don't go over board this time please" they all looked at him and he gave his food to his father and looked up at him with flushed cheeks. Then looked at everyone. Then everything went back to Almost normal.

Ik @cutiecorner hasn't been feeling that great lately so I thought I'd share some headcannons for them (and if ppl just wanna see headcannons as well lol)

These are going to be agere headcannons and are going to be a mix of like, just random dc characters but mainly centered around the bats :)

♡ Bruce and Hal may squabble a bit when in costume and stuff and may fight but little Bruce absolutely ADORES Hal. Both as Green Lantern and just in general. But he tries to hide it but he Def draws small drawings of both batman and green lantern together or as Bruce and Hal. I don't make the rules:)

☆ Bruce doesn't tell anyone about his regression. ANYONE. He does hide it pretty well when he's in a different headspace, but him in little headspace? It's fair game. He'd likely be a bit easier to read and less careful with things like he is usually.

♧ The only people in the JL that do know about it is likely Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan AND John (*quick side note I hope that's the other gls name bc I did forget), Superman was the last one to officially find out just from observing things and a quick Google search.

★ Barry also regresses but to the age that around his mom died

♥︎ Bruce usually is around 1-3 years, but goes higher if he's not AS stressed or if it's just cause he's extremely happy and comfortable

♣︎ Diana Def bought some plushies for the two of them but says it's just staying at the watch tower until she can find a place for them, but somehow magically they go missing within an hour of being there....strange....

◇ Hal is actually a switch, he doesn't regress much but when he does its likely triggered by something negative, he doesn't tell anyone about it. AT ALL. Even if he knows they'd be supportive and even help him get through it.

♤ One day Bruce finds him absolutely BAWLING like this and not knowing what to do he brings him a soft medium-large sized deer plush (that definitely wasn't one of the toys Diana bought and mysteriously went missing and definitely ISNT one of Bruce's favorite pushes bc it reminds him of Hal) and gives it to him to hug.

◆ This works really well and allows for Hal to quiet down a bit and tell Bruce that he doesn't wanna tell him what's going on (yet) but thanks him and Bruce stays with him while he's still softly sobbing and hiccuping while holding him. (Bruce Def knows that he's little now too though so)

♥︎ Clark is very understanding about it and even can kind of tell when any of them regress, Barry is more open about it but Clark can notice he's little even before Barry can. He Def tells little Bruce a bunch of facts about the farm animals and machinery. He also kind of picks up that Hal MIGHT be little at times but doesn't push it. He does let Hal tell him about planes and flying when he seems like he is and for once is very excited.

♠︎ The one time that Bruce and Hal both trigger each other's regression by accident from arguing they end up needing to take a break from each other for a while but eventually Hal shows up to Bruce's door with the deer that Bruce let him borrow in hand an a reddened face from crying. They both apologize in their own way and go watch their favorite cartoons together! (Both older and modern)

□ Little Barry likes to chew stuff, like, everything and anything. His straw on his cups? Gnawed on until they're litterally sharpened a bit. His suit? Holes in the neck part now. Batmans cowl? Teeth marks on the rubber bat ears. Anything and everything is free game. Once he tried to chew the lasso of truth and Diana had to get him a chewy, turns out those don't last long so Bruce bought him a whole pack.

■ whenever hal does go to someone when hes feeling little he goes to Bruce or Clark, but he only goes to Clark if it's dire and Bruce isn't there. He doesn't even know that Bruce knows yet, he just goes and watches cartoons with him or if shes too overwhelmed she'll just stay with him and relax a but.

~I also headcannon that Hal goes by Both He/Him and She/Her pronouns btw

☆Barry does end up getting a pacifier and tried his best to take MUCH better care of that than his chewies that he takes about everywhere and gnaws on. He saves it for when he's calm enough to not chew it as badly.

♡ Bruce mainly has the plushies that Diana bought for him, and a few childhood toys that Clark claims that he only brought to the tower for sentimental purposes..although he hasn't complained when his old plush cow went missing..he doesn't care though, he DOES hide them in his room in the tower and doesn't take them back to the manor. Well, unless they somehow magically make it back with him.

♧ Hal sometimes drops plushes off at the manor, along with Clark and Diana. Alfred is aware of this and supports it. Anything that'll help his son.

★ Hal sometimes draws pictures of the whole league and himself and keeps them in a notebook in a drawer in her room in the tower

♥︎ She Def draws with Barry and Clark sometimes when she's bored

"Papa..." Harley muttered, placing her hands on Bruce's knees.

He let out a small sigh and hooked his hands underneath her arms, easily picking her up and placing her on his lap.

He ran his fingers through her loose hair, not minding the complaint about getting her dyed tips mixed.

He placed his hands over her stomach when he heard Joker come back into the room. Harley swaying her legs off the edge of the couch and cooing at the sight.

"Dada!" She exclaimed happily when Joker crouched in front of her, flashing his big smile. One that wasn't terrobly disturbing for a change.

Bruce stared at The Joker - His arch enemy, or whatever - as he slipped socks and shoes onto Harley's feet.

He looked back down to Harley, who stared with big bug eyes as Joker tied her shoes. Their neutral ground, essentially, a very little Harley.

"Here." Joker muttered, handing Bruce two hair ties before focusing back on tying Harley's shoelaces.

Bruce hummed in acknowledgement as he started parting Harley's hair based on the two dyed colors. Gently moving them into two pigtails.

"I wan go out." Harley blew a raspberry, holding on to Joker's shoulders. He pat her ankle when he finished tying her shoelaces and looked up at her.

Bruce looked down at Joker, placing his hands back over Harley's stomach once he finished with her hair.

Realizing he was expected to answer, Joker smiled softly and cupped Harley's cheek. "We will doll, in a bit."

Harley whined and pouted, crossing her arms over her chest.

Joker reflected her pout and pinched her cheeks, which slowly but surely prompted a giggle from her.

"Same spot in the park?" Bruce questioned, watching Joker continue to poke the girl's cheeks.

Joker looked up at him and grinned, even now he'd never get used to his genuine smile being flashed at him. Nothing creepy or sadistic.

"As always, Batsy. Never get caught there. Imagine that.." He giggles. "Arch enemies.. getting caught together."

Bruce rolls his eyes, but cracks a small smile. "Terrible." He mutters.

Harley reaches out for Joker. Bruce lets her go as her arms wrap around the other his neck. Joker easily picks her up, holding her against him and gently bouncing her.

Harley coos and rests her head on Joker's shoulder. Giggling as she's bounced.

Bruce lets out a sigh as he stands up. Joker raises a brow and grins as he wanders to the door with Harley in his arms.

"To the park!" Joker exclaims with a laugh, making Harley coo in delight.

Bruce rolled his eyes.
