(short story I made off of my potential 2000 yrs ago nightwing clan face alien contact AU. Characters are; Darkstalker who needs no introduction, Thomas who's a genetically-modified human, and Xernalia, Thomas's alien wife who did the modifications.)

Darkstalker: *looking over some photos*; what's up with those... limbs?

Xernalia: they're actually guns!- like what Thomas has, though his isn't part of his body.

Darkstalker: how... isn't he naturally equipped with weapons?

Xernalia: well he does-

Thomas: but nobody's going to tell you what weapon that is, since that's only a weapon through a technicality and it's a very private thing.

Xernalia: and he mostly uses tool-weapons, which are weapons that aren't part of his body, anyways.

Darkstalker: so, why don't you have these weapons as a part of your body? You seem to have similar structures to this one, *he taps the picture* so why don't you... ya'know?

Xernalia: well, the thing is, guns, or any kind of ranged projectile, is very complicated to do. You need to balance the metabolism, know what kind of ammo they're going to use... even then, I wouldn't be able to properly use them without some literal brain surgery, since I would need to actually fire the things.

Thomas: she's just saying a lot of technical terms to make it sound like more of a hassle than it actually is- she's perfectly capable of solving all those issues in a matter of minutes.

Darkstalker: so you haven't answered my question.

Thomas: yeah she didn't. So to answer; she doesn't have bio-guns because we agreed it would be best if I took ranged weapons and she took melee.

Xernalia: way to spoil the sport of it >:(

Thomas: you shouldn't be making a sport out of answering questions.

Darkstalker: yeah, not giving straight answers only makes people paranoid. You should just let me read your mind so that there's a complete transfer of knowledge.

Thomas: yeah kid, you're going to need to try harder than that to convince us to let you read our mind.

For actually decent MVC ships I thought up:

-As a friendship, BB Hood with Megaman and Roll: 7/10

- Rock would be horrified when he sees a regular mid 19th-century child pull out an uzi...

-But I could see Roll being perfectly fine with it as a cute dynamic.

-BB Hood is repeatedly shown to be batshit insane, though, so pairing the very not-willing robot-murder child with the very-willing human-murder child isn't the easiest thing to do, fanfic-wise. It's also COMPLETE crack.

Jon Talbain x Jack Russell/Jacob Russoff(Werewolf By Night): 9/10

-The idea of two monster-hunters cursed by Lycanthropy falling in love with each other appeals to me.

-*cough cough* Omegaverse- *cough cough*

-Genuinely great. Good fanart, probably great crossover material, especially with Moon Knight.

-I love it, but having two bland werewolf monster designs side-by-side is boring.

First crossover ships:

Spiderman x Morrigan: 4/10

-Not that great. MVC is a GREAT series, but shipping characters? Eh. Morrigan and Spidey as friends sounds funny (Especially if we take black Cat into account), but romantically, it just can't work.

-Also, don't ask about Black Cat x Morrigan, because it's ALSO a 4/10.

Ryu x Cyclops: 4/10

-Made this up based on the MVC collection box art, and Captain Commando x Captain America isn't appealing to me.

-Honestly, still kind of boring. Same problem with Sonic x anyone, but doubled. Two basic protagonists in a relationship, whoop de fucking do.

OK- So, i was making a fanfiction abt Darkstalker and Clearsight if they actually got married, and i'm not great at drawing dragons, but i thought i'd made the estimation of their kids (Who i BELIVE mentioned in Darkstalker were Eclipse, ShadowHunter, and FeirceClaws, but i'm not ENTIRLY sure) If there are any tips on drawing dragons will be GREAT cuz i need advice! OK- so. I made ShadowHunter (The one who mostly looks like a nightwing) and FeirceClaws (the one with white freckles) mind reading twins! ShadowHunter has his moms eyes and dads scales, his twin sister has her mothers color and her fathers eyes, and then i wanted to have Eclipse have a mix of her parents scale colors, as well as some more icewing atributes to try and add to the IceWing blood in her! I also gave her arctic eyes because with genetics there COULD be a small but entirly possible genetic possiblility! (OOOH YEAH GENETICS!!) :D YAYY!! (i need dragon drawing tips)

former wings of fire fan here! i was really into wings of fire (like really, really), for like three years until the the release of the 15th book.

i still remember the day the 15th book came out, i was so excited and..... i hated it ( the book, i mean.)

i was so convinced that tui was going to actually flesh out wasp, and make another tragic villain like darkstalker and i was so ready for the cardboard villains to be over. i was so disappointed that i couldn't even finish the book.

and suddenly, i realized what exactly i had been reading for three years and how i was so caught up in like FIVE characters that i didn't see how....iffy....the writing was. and other things.

three years worth of countless arguments online, fanfictions and works of fan art later, i was out of my wings of fire phase. i deleted my wings of fire wiki account (best decision ever ngl), and started to get into other things.

but, wings of fire has inspired me to write my own novel, its nothing like wings of fire, but i will forever thank those books for giving me the push i needed <333

You know, I didn't recognize that the "dead oc" was her until I saw her actual name, because in my mind she's still alive and running around as a vital part of the ten commandments. I haven't done anything but gently put her in the background of the daydreams with a cookie of her choice yet, because knowing she was Zeldris's only friend on top of being her own lovable self and now learning that she was a like sister to them both- my HEART 😭

i cannot touch that yet. it is holy. but one day, if I have your approval, I swear I'll make her a happy ending. bc that's what I've been doing since I was little for tragic narratives (Cough, cough, Darkstalker Legends, if you know you know) and now's as good a time as any to step up my game. just the prospect gives my heart the zoomies

me when a writer I love makes an oc and gives them the good angst: 👀 is mine to love? to cherish? to make fictional happy endings for? fictional happy endings that don't exist for the characters that don't exist, that are wonderful and die a horrible undeserved death that fits the themes and story so well my heart is screaming?

ichika: absolutely read both warrior cats and wings of fire and was extremely involved in the fandoms for both as a child. spent all her time playing the new prophecy game on the warrior cats website and watching maps to vocaloid songs

saki: she tried to read them for ichika but they weren’t really her vibe. she likes cinderpelt and sunny a lot tho and relates to them

honami: also tried to read for ichika but stopped on chapter 1 of into the wild because the immediate murder turned her off

shiho: actually read both alongside ichika and preferred wings of fire (glory was her favorite) but wasn’t as obsessed as her.
