Darkstalkers at War

I had this dream about Darkstalkers characters waging war against humankind while wearing medieval armor, so I painted it.

I've been playing a lot of Darkstalkers recently and I love everything about the character designs of this series.

You look at some of the most basics like Demitri and Victor who are just a vampire and the monster of Frankenstein, but they ooze personality.

But then you go to some of the series' most iconic designs, like Morrigan and Hsien-Ko, and they are incredible. You get why after the series was killed, Capcom still comes back to them, especially Morrigan.

And then you have my favorite type of Darkstalker design. When they get goofy, when we have some tomfoolery, some silly billy concepts. Like a kung-fu werewolf, a rockstar zombie and a red hiding hood who's a vicious bounty hunter.

This series is so good!

Lowkey the arts a custerfuck but i think i made it a clusterfuck in a fun way rather than a "why god why" kind of way.

Mentioned this on my YouTube Community tab, but, uh haha, what if for mid-October, I did something crazy and make a double-length list on the definitive Top 20 Darkstalkers Characters EVER? Wouldn’t that be fuuuuun?

My friend showed me the awesome cutscene where Yanqing fights Hoolay, and showed me how Yunli was impressed afterwards, and it made me want to redraw a page from the Vampire Savior manga but uh... I'm too lazy to actually finish it properly (the outfits are too annoying to draw for me, and I have like 5 other drawings I'd like to finish).

So I just leave this unfinished drawing here. If anyone wants to redraw it properly, I'd love to see it.

Also, if someone could redraw this panel below with Yanqing, it'd be awesome 😅
