I'm rewatching How Phil Nearly Died and am once again getting wrecked by the realisation that dnp have really chosen each other for life. Because life includes random crazy unromantic shit (no pun intended) like your partner spontaneously bleeding out of their asshole and you having to take them to the hospital and deal with all the logistical stuff that surrounds that. It's not pretty, it's not ideal, but that's what you sign up for when you commit yourself to another person. And dnp do it like it's breathing. And they're so unfazed about sharing it with us *because* they're so solid and safe and comfortable in their relationship, to the extent that they really only care about the basic purpose of the video (which is to destimagtise "embarassing" health issues), not at all about how talking about this might affect the "aesthetics" of their relationship. They're just so real. They have really chosen each other.
