To me the trailer shows exactly what they needed to show to tease but leave us curious. They couldn’t ignore the big cliffhanger so it was going to be mentioned on the trailer so I knew the answer of whether they did it or not would he answered there. This is the final season they are not trying to collect new audiences for a renewal. This is the endgame. I think the trailer shows what it needed to show. I could theorize about it but I still not nothing about them or what it’s happening.

And it also makes me think they will sleep together again (prom night) but this time without miscommunication and both being on the same page about what it means so it parallels the awkwardness from their first boink but this time is them being fine and confident of what it means for them moving forward.

I love this theory.

I haven't wavered from the idea that the love confession is happening in episode 10, but I think it would be interesting if Devi and Ben have sex again in episode 9, and are much confident in their decision. It would elevate the stakes of the finale in an unexpected but fitting way.

I guess whatever floats your boat. I'm in no position to judge in regards to fictional ships. There isn't anything inherently WRONG with it, but I just find it EXTREMELY out of character on both ends. Daria doesn't give af about Butt-Head or Beavis. At most she tolerates them or sees them doing bullshit like "woah! That's crazy guys. Get well soon!" Butt-Head is much the same. At no point in the run of the show do I see a smidge of chemistry between them that would suggest something romantic. When it comes to indulging in fan content for things like this, I tend to have a preference for sticking somewhat close to canon. I just can't see it as something that works whereas something like Butt-Head and Beavis is implied enough in the show as a joke to build off a legitimate interpretation.

man red and shade make me Insane because first of all. the age stuff. red is the version of diluc right after the whole shit w his 18th birthday while shade is current-day kaeya, so it'd be reasonable to assume that shade is most likely "older" than red bc of timeline stuff, BUT ALSO. like you cannot tell me that they don't completely ignore that and still go by the older-younger dynamic that both of them remember. you simply cannot. add on how apparently diluc was a Bastard Of A Kid, and boom. full dynamic right there.

so anyways what i'm saying is that if you leave them alone together red will absolutely rope shade into whatever scheme he has. like i imagine that they still have to be led into reconciliation with each other at first, but your god personally asking you to talk out your problems and try to reform your relationship with your (technically kind of) estranged brother is a really good motivator it turns out! it makes it easier to leave them alone together, but give it a week and shade is also glaring at diluc whenever he's nearby and oh no red what did you tell him.

putting shade and red together in a room is. one of the ideas you’ve had.

they’re very different from their base selves, but red still holds a strange animosity. he’s diluc with all the anger and none of the time for it to cool, and shade has a permanent guilt lingering in his chest he never can place. he just feels… off around red, and doesn’t really know why.

it takes quite a bit of work to get red to adjust to shade, but the process only burns shade more. it’s complicated, to put it simply, and takes time.

but that time passes. with enough quiet interactions without you there, with enough trust that the other truly has your best interest in mind.. they can connect. red shares the fire that drives him, shade chipping at the ice digging into his heart. they talk around the ashes of your campfire, slowly coming to a conclusion.

once shade and red fully reconcile, it’s… dangerous. shade’s constant need for your attention mixed with red’s need for your safety and immense distrust of anyone but nikki or the other reflections makes for a startlingly effective team. you’re happy they’ve made up, really, but shade seems to be pulling you away from your obligations more often, and red sticks closer to your side than ever. on one hand it’s nice to see them get along, and you do appreciate the affection, but on the other, it’s more than a little concerning. you just hope that nothing bad comes of it..

The thing about League Jayce/Giopara is that, while he is an ass, he's also somewhat in the right (or at least Has A Point).

Like, League Viktor did do some pretty shady shit-like come up with a concept for a Diving Suit that could remove a person's ability to feel fear, which would have all sorts of potential for being exploited ad turned into full mind control. Giopara was understandably horrified, and reported Viktor to the Academy. (I don't know if Giopara expected for it to escalate into full-on exile, but I think reporting your partner for doing something you think is super unethical is a reasonable thing to do.)

(League Viktor also tried the "turn people into Hive Mind" thing, but only once as far as I'm aware-and on a much smaller scale than on his Arcane counterpart. He doesn't do it anymore, and he's very express about consent in all of his lore after that, but he did try it once.)

So yes, Giopara's a raging asshole-but it's not entirely his fault that his and Viktor's relationship crashed and burned. (I don't think he's entirely innocent in the affair-far from it-but he at least had a good reason.)

oh yeah like. from my (admittedly limited, take whatever i say with a grain of salt and all) knowledge of the lore it was very much a "they both got a point but neither of them can be normal about it or sit down and have a reasonable conversation to save their lives".

like the glorious evolution thing is some fucking insane eugenics bullshit, viktor's ethical and human rights violations are probably in the triple digits at this point, and he is constantly breaking and stealing giopara's shit, but at the same time. giopara has the tendency to "act first think later" in a lot of situations, has a terribly black and white view of things (they both do, to some extent), and him viewing (or at least saying? i think?) the robotic augmentations as removing what makes them human is also. kinda really fucked up. the removal of emotions temporarily is not necessarily a bad idea, there are plenty of situations it could be applied to save lives, but it could easily be exploited by people with bad intentions. but it was still just a concept, not even in any workshop phase, so im not sure if reporting it (especially given viktor's tract record with the academy already fucking him over once and their view on him) was the right call. I get why he did that, but it still escalated things and pretty much ruined viktor's career over a proposed concept. the factory incident wasn't giopara's fault entirely (you know vik maybe refusing to explain the body horror shit you're pulling off and trying to kill him right off the bat is a bad idea but hey you do you) but like. people still died because he smashed that crystal.

zaun lacks a lot of the resources piltover has and viktor's augmentations genuinely does help a lot of people, but has so many internalized issues he's taking out on the world and again the eugenics shit is really bad. giopara does genuinely want to do good and get through to viktor but he's also an asshole who acts without thinking and has a hard time seeing each other's worldviews. both of them have a point but they won't properly communicate it with the other and decided to make it everyone else's problem.

if either of theses bitches could have a proper discussion (like actual adult fucking communication good lord) and consider each other's views for five minutes maybe we could get somewhere.

Yeah, and just to serve as a general reminder that it is not everyone in that server are like this; it's mostly Shandale, a couple other mods, and a few other members, with the other mods who haven't engaged with this behavior directly mostly being responsible for never doing anything to actually rectify this issue like removing Shandale's mod status or removing them from the server for repeatedly saying shit like this (or doing anything similar to the other mods who have explicitly backed up their rhetoric). There's actually a good few people who will stand against the rhetoric thrown around, which is absolutely something to commend them for knowing that they could easily be banned (since, you know, the person that's saying this shit is someone who has banning privileges and is known to ban people for pretty innocuous shit).

It honestly must suck to be an average Edelgard fan in that server knowing that at pretty much any time there's a pretty damn good chance that one of the members - or mods! - will spout off blatantly racist shit and there's just. Nothing that will be done about it, ever, just cuz that person is friends with a mod or are a mod themselves. And in one of THE biggest spaces for Edelgard fans, at that! I hope they can eventually find a better place to love their fave in, since this one's such an unsalvageable garbage heap
