More Stardew Valley dolls!! This time my non-binary farmer, Quill, and Harvey 🥹 Harvey was simple to make-- I've stared at him long enough after all-- but Quill was a challenge. Particularly their chest. They've had top surgery, but there are no flat chested Barbie dolls, so I ended up melting the chest into the shape I wanted 😂 it worked out incredibly well! Even with the shirt off you can't tell they ever had tits!

can anyone appoint to me who takes in custom BJD doll commissions? I've been wanting to make my own Omega ghoul doll but, he has a body type that is not common in dolls sadly. Esp male dolls. And I don't have the skills for digital 3d sculpting, nor access to a resin printer.

Anytime I find an artist who makes their own BJD dolls I'm met with 'takes no custom orders'. So, I'm hoping there are doll artists out there that can do 3d custom sculpts for dolls. I'd be willing to commission and collaborate as I have a design in mind for the doll body + head. (unmasked Omega! i want my vision become real.)

sorry for kinda mid photos but my godddd I'm obsessed with these! I love the Antu "cute beast" bodies but really wasn't thrilled by any of the blind box designs (except the hidden one. lmao) so I had to grab these when they were announced but I was NOT ready for just how gorgeous and detailed they are 😨 Easily an incredibly close runner up to the mianmian dogs for my favorites out of my collection so far

Coco doll update! I wanted to record the process of styling her wig but it turned out to be more tricky than anticipated so I did it off cam. I'm really happy with the hat, it just needs a small button on the white flap to tie the look together. Also-I made it without a pattern or a mockup. Eyeballed all of it in one sitting and really enjoyed the whole process haha. It was also my first time making a tassel this small but it turned out cute. Coco is a 1/4 ImomoDoll Apsu. I finally managed to find a mink fabric in ivory/white so I was able to redo the bodies or the various tails I've made for my dolls.

For most I only had to swap the fabric of the tails' bodies, but for Lily's tail I had to redo the whole thing. I'd originally used way too thin wire for hers and I'd constructed it weirdly. No matter, after a multitude of tails made, I knew how to make a new tail, and fast. Amazing what trial and error plus experience does for skill.

All the tails are fully poseable, and attach by magnet to dolls. Most of them do not have embedded magnets, so I used some masking/painters tape to attach them under the clothing to the resin. Only Jamil (black tailed unicorn) has embedded magnets for the tail he came with, which made my life easier, heh.

The tails are constructed from aluminum armature wire, strong magnets, masking/painters tape, and the tail tips are tibetan lambskin mohair on the pelt still. Though Rose and Amethyst's tails have fake fur for their tiny tail tips.

Hello doll making tumblr, I come seeking guidance. I’m trying to make a creepy little alien bjd and I want it to have two forearms that fuse at the elbow (the first picture is my plan). I’ve made four armed dolls before, but I’m not sure the best way to do the fused arm… the other two pictures are my plan, to just make the start of two arms like normal and thread them into the same elbow joint.

It’ll look cleaner on the actual doll, and I know it won’t have a full range of motion, but I’d still like to try to get it to move just a little more… the forearms are pretty much locked in place, I wish I could get them to bend back and forward somewhat. So if anyone has seen a doll like this or knows of techniques or wrist/shoulder joints that would maximize movement, please let me know!

(For full context, the doll is for a stop motion project so it’ll likely be threaded with wire as stability is one of the most important traits. Also, I could make it in cloth for the added flexibility but I really want to try with clay. It’s a bug, I want it to have an exoskeleton- even if it won’t be able to move that arm as much. Cloth arms/clay body is an option, tho one I’m less excited about.)

Hey to all doll makers and customizers (and fiber artists too lol) - our two old alpacas just got sheared for the summer, so I have a bunch of brown fiber and a bunch of white fiber. Unprocessed/raw, with a shorter staple length than most suri (2-4 inches, theyre suri x huacaya crosses so have the silky straight fiber but not as long). I'll let you have as much as you want for the cost of shipping! Just trying to save attic space.

I customized him a few months ago, but only just remembered that it might be fun to post online. I made him with supplies I already had so it's not the best quality in some parts lol

Honestly, I don't love the face or hand molds, and the neck is so weirdly long. The hair was also a struggle to deal with cuz it's low-quality... but I tried my best to work with what I had. I like this body type though!

I'm good at making doll clothes, but this was my first small-scale faceup! And my first time trying to make shoes... they were difficult. But I still like the overall look!

theyre a doll chateau noah!! hand for scale lmao. im so excited to paint them but i still need to figure out what i want them to look like. i tried to brainstorm some ideas but it was tricky bc i couldnt find a many examples of the peach skin aside from the swatch photo so i wasnt sure what colors would look good, which in turn meant i wasnt sure what style i wanted to go for... i was pleasantly surprised that it was not nearly as pink as id expected, which really opens up my options!! gonna revisit my sketches today & see what i come up with :)

I spent so much time wiping and redrawing Falin's face-up but I think I'm finally content with how it looks. It's not perfect but for the second time I paint a resin doll it's decent enough. And I also had to cover up traces of my previous attempts at painting this head. Wig made by me.

The base doll is a recasted Feeplee Rin which I got second hand as a teen so I just wanted to make my favorite dunmeshi character out of the doll and learn a thing or two. And honestly I'm SO glad I could test out painting on a cheaper doll instead of damaging a legit...pls don't eat me for that.

My girlfriend ball joined doll!! I worked on this thing forever, and I’m so proud of how she came out! She’s my very first doll I’ve ever made like this, fully hand sculpted, so she’s a bit wonky. But I love her so much!
