Hi! Long time sci-fi fan (read old man). Do you think you could find the original dust cover art for J. G. Ballard's book, The Crystal World," and post it, please? I remember thinking it the most oddly beautiful piece when I first saw it, but it's been decades ago, and it still retains a space in my head. Thanks so much!

Yeah, here it is! It's from 1966, by German surrealist Max Ernst:

I actually indirectly referenced this cover in the opening pages of my book on 70s sci-fi art -- after Richard Powers started the trend of surrealist science fiction cover art in the 50s, a lot of other publishers jumped on it, and some went as far as to get fine artists like Ernst rather than illustrators. Good eye, it's really a standout cover!

A Linked Universe meets The Dark Crystal AU! I don't even remember what started it at this point. I remembered that the Dark Crystal and Age of Resistance are things I like, blinked, and woke up three days later with an AU and a bunch of art.

The designs and the story are a wip and for fun so expect a lot of variation! (I have a few different beginnings, ideas for different designs, etc)! :D

It’s right after Nico scored his hat trick, you all go out to celebrate. You’re standing by a table with Dougie and Jonas when you hear Jack say, “Let’s just find y/n, eh?”

You pull yourself out of the conversation and look around to find Jack physically holding Nico back from something.

“Hey what’s going on?” You rush over to them and place your hand on Nico’s chest. Following his line of sight, you see Mat standing a few tables away with his new girlfriend.

“I just want to go talk to him.” Nico’s words are slightly slurred from the shots Jack and the rest of the boys have been giving him. “That’s all.”

“I don’t think that’s a good idea, buddy.” Jack huffs as Nico pushes against him.

“Ni, look at me.” You wrap your arms around his waist and he looks down at you. “Do you really want to go talk to him or do you want to take me home?”

A lazy grin spreads across his face. “Sex?”

“Sex.” You agree.

I was doing research for one of my OC's that has DID and I realized some of the things (Zoning out, disconnection, voices in my head, etc) are things I go through almost every day.

I don't want to self-diagnose just in case so I'm gonna wait and talk to my therapist about it.
