I feel sorry for Monty and the Cat King, they're out there being all modern, shooting their shot, but don't realise it has taken that Edwardian boy 30 years to come to terms with his gay feelings and there's zero chance he'd simply fall into bed with them. If they'd given him some breathing room they'd have had more of a chance. It's not like he was opposed, just startled.

Does anyone else want Edwin/Charles/Crystal polyam? Mostly because (well I am polyam but also) Charles having to rangle the chaos they'd cause him together and smooth over all those hurt feelings their combined bluntness would cause to dead patrons would be entertaining to watch. Every night he's trying to instill some level of emotional intelligence in the people he loves most and it only works sometimes.

watched the first ep of Dead Boy Detectives today, did anyone also think the dialogue was a bit clunky?

I don't mean it was unwatchable or anything i just feel like it didn't feel realistic the way they introduced the characters and world... It felt like the dialogue was for the viewer instead of an in character thing. We were gonna be introduced to a viewer surrogate within the first few minutes, there was no need to have the characters who already know how the show's world works spell it out for nobody... and then explain it again when Crystal showed up? idk it felt like something I would write (not a complient) 😅

thinking once again about how dead apple applies to the state of artists in the world. how shibusawa strips people of their abilities (here seen as their art) and reduces it down to a bare commodity with no soul or unique characteristics. this is the exact same thing, in my eyes, that ai art is doing. how shibusawa’s complete and total separation of the “art” from the “artist” is really just stealing an element of them and leaving them for dead. how this is what ai does, it strips the art it steals of all connection to the artist, making a soulless object with nothing standing out about it

Artificial intelligence unravels mysteries of polycrystalline materials

Researchers at Nagoya University in Japan have used artificial intelligence to discover a new method for understanding small defects called dislocations in polycrystalline materials, materials widely used in information equipment, solar cells, and electronic devices, that can reduce the efficiency of such devices. The findings were published in the journal Advanced Materials. Almost every device that we use in our modern lives has a polycrystal component. From your smartphone to your computer to the metals and ceramics in your car. Despite this, polycrystalline materials are tough to utilize because of their complex structures. Along with their composition, the performance of a polycrystalline material is affected by its complex microstructure, dislocations, and impurities. A major problem for using polycrystals in industry is the formation of tiny crystal defects caused by stress and temperature changes. These are known as dislocations and can disrupt the regular arrangement of atoms in the lattice, affecting electrical conduction and overall performance. To reduce the chances of failure in devices that use polycrystalline materials, it is important to understand the formation of these dislocations.

You all realize, and I am not saying this is a good thing, that someday someone is going to use A.I. technology to redub Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal right?

Someday there will exist:

a) A version of Sailor Moon where Tracey Moore, Terri Hawkes and Linda Ballyntyne are the consistent voice of Sailor Moon in the original anime and Crystal. And there will probably even be multiple versions of each where in some versions she is called Serena instead of Usagi, attempting to emulate the DiC dub rather than the original Japanese versions of either show.

b) A version of the Crystal with the original 1992 Japanese voice cast 'playing' their respective characters. Like we could in theory hear Tōru Furuya yell 'Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber' or listen to Shiho Niiyama voice Seiya from beyond the grave.

c) A version of the original anime where the Crystal cast are 'cast' as their respective characters.

d) Versions of Crystal and the original anime with either Japanese cast playing their characters in another language. Literally we will someday hear Kotono Mitsuishi voice Usagi for 200+ episodes in English.

I'm not saying, and in fact desperately hoping, neither Toei nor PNP do any of the above. I am however saying someday someone will. It is going to happen.

Starting with THIS ONE bc I have drawn. the Diteline Kids. AGES ago, and I'd deffo need to shore them up, but let me introduce the 3rd gen blorbos:

Joy, Eira/Bianca (still on the fence with the name), and Robin (or Robyn, haven't decided which I prefer!) Robin was cursed/blessed with Blaise's shoulders, (cursed/blessed bc they are gender fluid and I need to do a TON of research first to make sure I represent properly, but anyway on some of the more femme presenting days they're like FUCK. SHOULDERS. FUCK! but on more masc days and enby days they're like yeah these shoulders FUCK), so you'll need to imagine more shoulder for them in that doodle, lol. These are like. 2? 3? years old? I didn't date them. Doodled em on a whim. I need to start dating things. Did classics/archaeology teach me NOTHING? APPARENTLY!

ANYWAY

I AM UNSURE WHICH PART OF DITELINE HAS MORE DOMINANT TRAITS! I leave kiddos here for you all to judge! I'm inclined to say Dite's physical traits are more prevalent, but the personality is all Jacquie/Frosts, baybee!

Dite, 100%. she gets very worried when they all get oldER, and Jacqueline is so chill. She's like "Blinter is FINE!" Dite even worries about her own parents. And Jacqueline's like "CHILL. CUPES AND PSYCHE ARE F I N E"

Spoiler alert: they are fine, tbh. Cupid and Psyche retire to their invisible untraceable palace house thing like in the myth, and Blinter lives together happily for a very very VERY long time, before Blaise peaces out to Rosehaven and Winter goes "I think I am going to live in the mountains and become the next Snow Queen, that sounds like a fun romp, I'll join you in the afterlife later Blaise dear" And Blaise goes "Have fun babe, I'll keep your seat warm!"

(I have this image in my head of Blaise sitting in Rosehaven with a cocktail on a beach chair with an umbrella attached, wearing shades, just vibing.
