You all realize, and I am not saying this is a good thing, that someday someone is going to use A.I. technology to redub Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon Crystal right?

Someday there will exist:

a) A version of Sailor Moon where Tracey Moore, Terri Hawkes and Linda Ballyntyne are the consistent voice of Sailor Moon in the original anime and Crystal. And there will probably even be multiple versions of each where in some versions she is called Serena instead of Usagi, attempting to emulate the DiC dub rather than the original Japanese versions of either show.

b) A version of the Crystal with the original 1992 Japanese voice cast 'playing' their respective characters. Like we could in theory hear Tōru Furuya yell 'Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber' or listen to Shiho Niiyama voice Seiya from beyond the grave.

c) A version of the original anime where the Crystal cast are 'cast' as their respective characters.

d) Versions of Crystal and the original anime with either Japanese cast playing their characters in another language. Literally we will someday hear Kotono Mitsuishi voice Usagi for 200+ episodes in English.

And if you think that is too much of a stretch:

That is the AI Japanese cast of One Piece singing in English

I'm not saying, and in fact desperately hoping, neither Toei nor PNP do any of the above. I am however saying someday someone will. It is going to happen.

Now go ahead and rejoice and/or despair as you see fit.

It wasn’t rare for you to be staying up waiting for him to come home, but tonight he was especially late coming home and he truly did not expect you to still be up. The clock almost ticked 3:30am and he truly wished he didn’t have to stay out so late if he knew you would still be up. He was going to ask why you were still up and tell you about how you should’ve just slept without him, but he knew you would tell him you would be too worried to fall asleep regardless. 

“I’m so sorry I was so late,” he said, apologetically. “But really, next time you shouldn’t mind me. It’s far too late.”

“And it’s far too late for you to be out with no one to greet you when you come home,” you replied with a soft smile. Gosh he was in love with you. “Waiting for you to come home is one of my happiest times, at least let me do this much. Besides, it’s a Friday we get to sleep in tomorrow.”

And you were absolutely correct. Although he’d tell you every single time to go ahead and sleep, it still warmed his heart when he saw you reading a book or scrolling through your phone with a warm tea, waiting for him to come home. The way your face would brighten up when he came home was truly the only thing that could heal him from a long day at work.

“I’ll hop in the shower real quick, so go to sleep okay? It’s still not good to be up this late,” he said as he took off his coat and put his stuff down, getting ready to step into the bathroom.

“Wait,” you said, almost subconsciously.

“What is it, love?”

“Oh, um,” you said, you hadn’t meant to say it out loud. You looked up at him slightly embarrassed. “....kiss?”

A faint blush covered his face as his eyes narrowed and lips pursed. He did not understand how you managed to make his heart flutter from such simple words after all this time, but he did understand that this wasn’t going to go away. He walked right back to you and pressed a kiss on your lips. He was going to kiss you again when he resisted the temptation and kissed you on your forehead instead. 

“Why not?” you asked quietly. You were going to kill him if you kept this up.

“Because I’m not going to be able to stop at this rate,” he said, but you went and kissed him instead.

“But I don’t want you to...” you said. That was it, he was giving in. Saving the country was a whole lot easier of a challenge than the ones you gave him it seemed.

“Okay, now you’ve done it,” he said, kissing you again. 

The shower will have to wait a little.

Some distressing news - It's come to light that prominent seiyuu, Toru Furuya, the voice of some iconic anime characters over the years (such as Amuro in Mobile Suit Gundam, Yamcha in Dragon Ball, Kyosuke in Kimagure Orange Road, and Tuxedo Mask in Sailor Moon) has publicly confessed to not only having an affair with a 37-year-old fan of his, but also for being physically abusive and forcing her to get an abortion. From a post on his Twitter account he apologized to the woman for "hurting her mentally and physically, and apologized to his fans for disappointing them, betraying their trust, and sullying the characters that he voiced." He ended his message stating that he "intends to spend the rest of his remaining life atoning for his mistakes, and is prepared to accept any punishment."

Japanese voice actor Miyu Irino (Sora in Kingdom Hearts franchise, Kōshi Sugawara in Haikyu!!, Ritsu Kageyama in Mob Psycho 100) took over the role of Sabo in the One Piece anime starting with episode 1116.

Voice actor Tōru Furuya stepped down from the roles of Sabo in One Piece and Tōru Amuro in the Detective Conan in June 2024, after Furuya acknowledged a May 2024 report by the Weekly Bunshun magazine regarding an affair he had with a fan.

When you think of your ideal cuddles, most likely the thought that appears is a lazy afternoon on the couch, a hot drink in hand with the one you love. Talking about anything that would come to mind, without much direction of any sort. It is not too surprising that this doesn't happen with you and Amuro often, considering that he doesn't have many free afternoons to begin with. However, you still think nothing could possibly beat his cuddles anyway. They usually end up being before the two of you fall asleep, on the bed, snug underneath your blanket, and this was perfect for you. It could be the coldest night ever, but cuddling would warm you up. It could be 3 in the morning, but his heartbeat would lull you to sleep. It could be the most exhausting day ever, but his scent would relax you every time.

Words could not explain how comforting it was to have his arms wrapped around you underneath a warm blanket in a cold winter night. Your face would be buried in his chest and his scent would calm you down. It was to the point where you fear you wouldn’t be able to fall asleep otherwise— without him nothing would be the same, even sleeping at night.

His cuddles were usually hugs, he would hug you as if to protect you with his strong arms from all his training, but at the same time engulf you in warmth— like a teddy bear. They were warm and cozy and comforting no matter the night and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

He loved holding you close, he loved the soft breath he would feel on his chest, he loved how he could smell the same shampoo from your hair. There were no moments more precious to him and he too, wouldn’t have it any other way.

For this AU, where I plan to make Furuya Rei and Akai Shuuichi struggle through the plot of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, I need help choosing

As the previous post states, I decided that Akai is going to be Takano’s replacement – stoic, more dedicated and caring than he lets on, a softy with a rough shell

And Furuya will take on Onodera’s role in the romcom Sekai ichi Hatsukoi is.

So while Akai’s former name – the one Furuya knew him by during school – is obviously Sera Shuuichi, I struggle to decide how to proceed about Furuya’s name. Because while he has a whole different identity at disposal, there is a crux in the plot around Onodera

Because back in their school days, Onodera Ritsu signed the check-out slips of library books as Oda Ritsu, which Takano (then Saga) found out and which is the reason why/ how Takano knew his given name when they slept with each other first the first time but also couldn’t recognise the name when Onodera started working at Marukawa’s Emerald Department.

The reason for Onodera using a fake name being that he was ashamed of essentially stalking his senpai through his reading habits/ the books Saga checked out
