we've been questioning being wheelchairquoir + crutchian for a while, but always felt like there was more to it than just wanting crutches/a wheelchair, and i think i figured it out!!

we're specifically trans/perma like. pinched nerve?? i guess? there isn't really a term for it, but basically we want our legs to be permanently "asleep" due to (a) pinched nerve(s) !!

our body is ✨quirky✨ and our legs already fall asleep pretty quickly in the right circumstances, but inevitably they wake back up ykyk (and it's usually super painful too LMAO) so we want to retain the "asleep" part of it permanently! our legs waking back up just to fall back asleep would be mega awesome, but i'm not sure how that would work yk

anyways, if anyone has transwheelchair/transcrutches tips or tips for making our legs fall permanently asleep i guess? send them our way please fnjdnuiawhdiowa /nfnf

This will be tips with the fact that you already have a decided side in mind !

Discomfort , Pain and Limp : Having some discomfort / pain / limp in your leg can help with being eligible for a crutch ! Modifying your shoes so that it creates an unbalanced walk ! Some different ways : - Stuff the toe box of your shoe (the area near your toes) with padding, such as cotton balls or tissue. - Attach a thick sole to one shoe (you can do this with foam, rubber pads, or even duct tape layers). On the other shoe, remove or thin out part of the sole. Another way is wrapping your knee / ankle tightly to restrict motion and simulate joint stiffness ( obviously not too tight , as cutting of circulation can be very bad ! )

Experiment with Muscle Fatigue ! Standing on one leg to tire it out and induce fatigue can help !

Carrying more weight on one side ! Make the habit of holding your bags on your wished-affected side , when putting things in your pocket always choose that side - so that you end up having a need to lean more from the weight , which could help with needing support !

Start prioritizing your " stronger " leg ! So basically practice stepping with your "stronger" leg first , then with the crutch - then weaker leg !

(tldr we get dysphoric from walking due to being wheelchairqior/crutchian but can't just ✨not walk✨)

so i recently realized i was transwheelchair/wheelchairqior + crutchian and every time i realize i have a particular transid i experience a HUGE surge of dysphoria for a bit right after (has literally been happening since i realized i was transgender lmao)

so now i get huge dysphoria from Walking, which is a huge problem bcs i don't have any way to avoid walking since we don't have any mobility aids at all since we "don't need" them ykyk

so if anyone has Any tips for avoiding / easing this dysphoria that would be nice :33
