Since the Bells Hells Are most likely going to be spending some time in Vasselheim talking to some gods, Here’s who I think It would be cool if each member of the bells hells talked too. I’ll only be listing gods that would be easily accessible in Vasselheim, so no Betrayers or lesser idols:
Orym:
The Wildmother - We’ve already seen them interact and Her even bestowing him the first known Relic of the red solstice. But i wouldn’t exactly say no to more
Imogen:
Stormlord - Obviously the red storm, and that she’s already interested in talking to him. But I also think “Where does your strength Come from?” is very interesting and compelling for her. We’ve heard a few times how she feels tempted by the power Predathos offers. And she has already displayed her strength and force of will in resisting it. I’m hoping she comes up with an answer for herself that strengthens that resolve even further
Laudna:
Dawnfather - While I still the matron would be cool and make a lot of sense, I also wanted to propose the Dawnfather. The matron is very anti-undead and doesn’t like those who defy fate and death, Which Laudna is actively doing. The Dawnfather Has some interesting Things in his tenets about not forgetting the lessons of the past, and Laudna (and Chetney) Has always been the one to point such things out. The Dawnfather Represents the sun, renewal and rebirth. Laudna’s Connection to the suntree. Also, Vex was a champion of the Dawnfather, could make for some interesting story telling.
Chetney:
The All Hammer - Yes, The craft god for the craftsman. But when it fits it fits. And it goes beyond just their shard love of craft. The All Hammer’s tenants promote Leaving a Legacy. “To create something that lasts is to change the world for the better”. As as we know from Nanna Mori, That’s something Chetney wants and values. Moradin is also god of clan, Family and the home. He promotes Loyalty. Chetney is nothing If not loyal. Even if he sometimes speaks and acts in a way that seems a bit sketchy, (eg. just recently with the bright queen and not telling ashton) But in the end he is always loyal, such as when he choose to administer a potion in the otohan fight instead of drinking it himself. Moradin also tells his followers to remain Stoic and tenacious in the face of Catastrophe, And he proved that by asking about Molaesmyr straight to Ludinus’ Face and many many more times
Dorian:
This one’s a bit difficult. Because of recent experiences and his current mindset (which i don’t blame him for), i think he will find it difficult to approach a god. The arch Heart is a good pick, art god for the bard. Anti-lolth. But I can also easily see the Law-bearer. He is now the eldest Prince and heir of the Silken-squall. Some guidance might help him. But i’m not sure.
Braius:
The Platinum Dragon - Sam and Braius have both said that since receiving truthbearer, this might be a sign. A chance for redemption. And honestly i don’t see the platinum dragon, The pillar of justice, protection, nobility, and honour discarding and condemning Braius for something that was barely his fault: Failing to stop an ultimately harmless Prank. One of Bahmut’s tenets is “Smite evil wherever it is found, yet show compassion to those who have strayed from the path of righteousness”. There is something so Raw and compelling about him keeping his Broken Holy Symbol. No matter what happens, his relationship isn't over yet. Braius is currently the Character with the largest connection to the gods so whatever he chooses will be interesting.
Fearne:
The Moonweaver - Not only do they match each other's energy perfectly: Fey trickery. Seizing your own destiny through your passions. “Walk unbridled and untethered, forging new memories and experiences” is just what fearne does on the daily. But also, Stealing Catha from the moonweaver is Literally Zathuda’s whole prerogative. It would be so Ironic if they instead worked together to steal Gloamglut away from him. absolute icon behaviour.
Ashton:
Ashton’s interesting. I obviously want him to talk to the Luxon and the Titan. But if i where to pick a deity.
The Changebringer - For F.C.G obviously. Ashton still has his change bringer coin that he took from the stone. But it goes beyond that. In my opinion The changebringer kinda suits Ashton better then FCG. Rising against Tyranny, change for the better. In terms of Luck Favouring the bold he can literally manipulate luck. Not to mention how tremendously lucky surviving that shard was. I in no way think he would ever become a follower, but I could see this as a sort of alliance. However reluctant.

Bells Hells Level 14
It is very likely that after the three-episode special that is Downfall, we are going to see the Hells level up to 14 (considering that Sam is joining with a level 14 character.)
Because of that, I figured that I would post this update now as a taste for what lies ahead.
All in all, Level 14 is a kind of a mixed bag in terms of what people get. To start with our non-multiclassers, 3 out 4 of them get subclass-based features, two of which we are completely aware of.
Imogen, as a level 14 Aberrant Mind Sorcerer, gets the Revelation in Flesh feature. Basically, as a bonus action, she can spend a sorcery point to receive one of the following features.
Can see any invisible creature within 60 feet of her, provided it isn't behind total cover.
Gain a flying speed equal to her walking speed (30 ft)
Gain a swim speed equal to twice her walking speed (60ft), and she can breathe underwater
Move through any space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing, and is able to spend 5 feet of movement to escape from nonmagical restraints or being grappled.
Each feature lasts for 10 minutes, but there is no limit to how many times she can do this or how many features she can have active at once. So long as she has the available sorcery points, Imogen can do this.
Dorian also gets a new College of Swords feature, Master's Flourish. Now, whenever he uses one of his Blade Flourishes, he can roll a d6 and use it instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die (currently a d10). The overall roll might be lower, but he can use bardic inspiration without having to worry about his flourishes.
Finally, Ashton receives his 14th-level subclass feature, but because it is a homebrew we don’t know exactly what it is. What we do know from CR cooldown, is that 14th level is “Where everything goes crazy.” So that’s fun. In all seriousness, if I had to guess, the feature could be similar to the Wild Magic’s Barb 14th level feature, where instead of simply rolling for a specific build, Tal could instead roll two d4 and choose which one he wants. But knowing Tal, its probably something far more complicated.
Orym, as our final non-multiclasser, gets another ASI with this level up. There are a lot of roads for him to choose from. Choosing to boast his Con is a likely option, but they are also a number of feats that are very much on the table. Sentinel, Mage Slayer, Bountiful Luck, Martial Adept are all feats I could see Orym going for. Hell, I could even see him mutliclassing depending on what Downfall shows us.
Speaking of multiclassers, let's look at the final three Hells. Two of the remaining folks, I am pretty certain I know their direction.
To start, Fearne has a very simple level-up. She will likely be grabbing another druid level, bringing her to level 11, and granting her access to 6th level spells. To note, because of her Arcane Trickster multiclass, Fearne spell slots are kinda weird. Before she already had access to her 6th level spell slot, but could not prepare 6th level spells until now. This doesn’t affect this level up, but in the future it will be something to be aware of. Some notable druid spells Fearne can now prepare are: Heal, Heroes’ Feast, Sunbeam, Transport via Plants, and Wind Walk.
Chetney is another very easy one. Likely grabbing another level in Blood Hunter, Chetney will get his Brand of Tethering feature. When using his Brand of Castigation, branded creatures are now unable to take the Dash action, and if they attempt to teleport or to leave their current plane, the creature will take 4d6 psychic damage and must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the attempt to teleport or leave the plane fails. Additionally, with this level up, Chetney can use his Blood Maledict three times between rests and he learns another Blood Curse.
And finally, on the biggest variable, Laudna. Before the sword incident, I was very certain that Laudna would be sticking with Sorcerer throughout level-ups. Mechanically, choosing Sorcerer would be the better option, as it would grant her 6th-level spells and a 6th-level spell slot (notable spells include: Arcane Gate, Circle of Death, Disintegrate, Globe of Invulnerability, Mass Suggestion, and Scatter.) But storywise, I could very much see Marisha leaning back into Warlock for narrative reasons. If she chooses this, Laudna would gain her 4th level in Warlock, granting her an ASI or New Feat. Based on her stats, Launda would likely choose a Feat. In that, I could see her grabbing War Caster, Mystic Conflux, Metamagic Adept, or even Skill Expert. Personally, I want to see her take another level in Sorcerer, but either way, I’m excited.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me ramble, and see yall soon!

“All right. I felt a little out of sorts here lately. I don't know if it's something fucked up in my head, or I'm a little off my game, I don't know. Yeah. Well. Is there anything I can do for you, Ashton? I'm desperately wanting to be helpful. Oh, I understand. Useful, have a purpose. I think the answer is yes. I don't know what it is yet. I... I don't know. This group feels different. It's been a while.”-Laudna/Ashton

It's played off as a joke, but ages ago when Launda broke Imogen's rock, Launda freaked out about it and displayed a lot of self-hating behavior.
Then when she's held hostage by Delilah in the tree/dreamscape, she doesn't fight for herself, putting the outcome solely into Imogen's court.
Even when she kills Bor'dor, Marisha explains how Launda only has the illusion of control.
Which is to say, Delilah successfully manipulating Launda shouldn't come as a surprise. Honestly, it should be an expectation.
People with low self-esteem and a poor sense of self-angency are historically very easy to manipulate.
My bet, things with Delilah are going to get real interesting real fast regardless of what Lundinus is doing.

I’ve been sitting on the intro duos in Bells Hells (baring Chetney because he was a solo intro and also Dorian because he is a separate case) and just thinking. Like in the case of the applebees solstice splits we can kind of see the dichotomy of the duos, Fearne and Orym, Fcg and Ashton, and Imogen and Laudna. In this essay I will…
[no but actually there is a mini essay it’s just kind of long so it’s under the cut :)]
Like obviously we all know that they each care for each other greatly, the intro duos in this party are incredibly attached to each other but when you think about it we can kind of see similarities in the parts of these duos. Namely having a person driven to protect the other because of their perceived inherent worth and the other being driven by a protective instinct due to isolation and loneliness and grief. Now I’m not saying that all these bitches aren’t codependent as fuck but I think there is a bit of a difference in the levels due to past events and personal histories.
Okay for example Imogen and Laudna, now both are heavily reliant on each other emotionally and physically (having been the only safety on the road with each other for years). Though I would argue that Imogen takes being separated from Laudna more poorly than Laudna does being separated from Imogen. One could argue the opposite but that not really what I’m focused on because this all connects to the rest of the duos. Laudna always has the utmost faith in Imogen and not to say that Imogen doesn’t feel the same in regards to Laudna but I feel like there is a difference because Laudna (as she has said) has already had the worst thing to happen to her happen. She doesn’t want to die but the fact is that she knows the feeling of dying and loss, of grief. Laudna is fiercely protective of Imogen because she thinks Imogen deserves better than what Laudna got because she is a good person and because she doesn’t want Imogen to have a life like she experienced. I would argue that Imogen leans on Laudna, not only because of the situations occurring in the campaign and their history, but in cases that they are separate she has lost the one person that is not a legitimate physical pain to be around. She is more vulnerable to the thing that she would rather not think about and she fall into the trap of catastrophizing events because she is unaware of the feeling of being only alone and left behind (I am aware of backstory showing that Imogen, Fcg, and Fearne were isolated or suffered with grief due to abilities or events but I think the differences in those cases are different than the case of Laudna, Ashton, and Orym) and having death or grief be the dripping driving motivation in her life, either consciously or subconsciously.
This is well documented in the other relationships as well, Ashton is incredibly protective of Fcg because they cannot let this broken but kind and sweet robot deal with the pain that they endured. However Fcg is incredibly attached to Ashton (especially in the beginning of the campaign) and dealing with their problem and making sure that Ashton stays alive because they believe that Ashton has more inherent worth because of their physical being. Fcg even though they have been left alone and has face murdering their friend and being alone, they actively has very few memories of those events. Ashton is driven by his loneliness and isolation whilst Fcg is driven to protect Ashton due perceived worth.
On the last pair Fearne and Orym it feels more cut and dry in terms of my argument. Fearne believes that Orym is kind and worthy of so much love because he has been irrevocably kind and giving to her. She is protective of him because of her perception of his worth (and I’m not saying anything negative about this I’m mostly just observing). Orym on the other hand has faced the grief of losing a loved ones to circumstance and misfortune and it is a core part of his character. The loss of these important people drives him to be incredibly protective of these new relationships and the connections the other has with outside relationships because he does not want to see what happened to him happen to the others and specifically Fearne.
In conclusion, all these duo have a common thread of one half being protective of the other due to their perception of the other person’s worth (which in this case is that they are incredibly deserving of a good happy life due to the past and the person that the other half of the duo is to the first half). Whilst the other half of the duo as a core part of their character has experienced grief and loneliness and death and so desperately wants to protect the other from experiencing what they have. This common connector between all these duos are reflected in other relationships throughout the group and with guest players and npcs but it is so interesting to me that it is a common thread in our intro duos.
Anyway that’s it bye 👋
