Curtwen Week Day 6: Happy Ending

Amphibia is proof that the best character writing tip is to make everyone at least a little bit problematic

#this is why all of my OCs are horrible people in one way or another #this goes for relationships too #lum1ty is cute and all but nothing about it ever destroyed me nearly as much as even the most tame scene between any members of #the calamity trio. and ik it's because the relationship between those 3 is what drives the story while lum1ty is a romantic subplot and all #but my objection is: that's precisely the problem #it's supposedly meant to be the fluff amongst the angst. a refuge from everything else that happens in the show #plus it's not the MAIN main relationship of the show - the main relationship is between Eda Luz and King #but... i genuinely believe divorcing lum1ty from the rest of the story does them a disservice. imagine how could it would have been if #they let amity be a little bit worse. deeper into the emperor's coven or something. with a more intense rivalry w luz #characters in toh just need more Drama imo especially luz's friends #hunter is great *because* he's Dramatic #this isn't toh bashing. i love toh. i just can't help but feel it's an example of characters being too... *nice*#cant remember who said that the only thing worth writing about was the human heart in conflict with itself and #im sorry but you can't convince me a character like gus or willow is just as much in conflict with themselves as like. idk. hop pop.

So I decided to watch a bit of Bridgerton with my mother, which I'm not really interested in (I don't really like period pieces unless it's a fanfic for a ship I like) but it's a show she enjoys so I sometimes catch her watching it and join her, and literally the only takeaway from the stuff I've seen with her is that Colin, Lord Debling, and Penelope should have all been poly

i saw an "approximate ages of hetalia characters" post a week or so ago and i just realized.

the viking age was in around 700-1000A.D.

norway, denmark, and peesumably sweden were supposedly around their preteens/early teens around the kalmer union.

denmark DEFINITELY remembers being a Viking

idk if anyone realized this but imagine norway, denmark, and sweden as itty bitty 5-10 year olds as vikings they're literally just playing childhood games-

like i'm pretty sure norway from that one iceland birth strip is around the latter half of that time, now just imagine all of them that size and probably smaller-

One little known fact about Sherry is that she has a ridiculously high spice tolerance. The Sinners find this out on accident when dining out at a restaurant of Hong Lu's choice, where he tells them about a certain spicy mustard served there that they can dip their food in.

Most of the Sinners are incapable of handling the sting but Sherry just keeps eating the mustard. She's in tears and has to keep scrunching up her face, but she absolutely loves the burning sensation whenever she takes a bite. Hong Lu, of course, is very happy she likes it, and Ryōshū is mildly impressed she can handle it, but the other Sinners are a bit terrified of just how much spice Sherry can handle.

#I have wanted to make this post for MONTHS‚ but I couldn't find a good way to phrase it ...#but tonight I discovered horseradish has the same flavor and produces the same sensation as that mustard‚ and it all finally came together #Hong Lu is absolutely delighted when he finds out Sherry likes spicy food‚ by the way--he's happy to share something with her #I like to think he really likes her but never knows how to get closer to her--she seems so intimidating to him #I love imagining him going‚ ''Wow!
