HEY hello, I been away from here for a few months and

my physical health began deteriorating in August and I ended up getting surgery last month. Nice. I’m (hopefully) almost done healing from that now and I’m feeling a lot better.

I was also held captive by the sweet siren song of a cute pixel dress up game that ended up being… a lot more stress than I think it’s worth. So I’m jumping ship for now and shifting my focus back to other things.

I’m really, REALLY into Dungeon Meshi right now and I’m working on a cosplay for that! I’ll be doing Thistle. I also recently finished watching Fionna and Cake, Ergo Proxy and Claymore. They were all fantastic! Now that I’m finished reading Dungeon Meshi, I think I’ll read Claymore next. I’ll hopefully be back to posting here now that I’ve got more headspace for it :) Haven’t done too much art, but here’s a little doodle page that’s fairly recent.

the new umbrella academy season was so upsetting

i was obsessed with this show for so long and i’m having trouble describing this feeling of like disappointment and anger at this season. i’m sad because the characters who i’ve grown so attached to that have gotten me through so much were just thrown away in the worst ending they could have gotten.

i stayed up until midnight waiting for the release and watched through every episode. around 4 or 5 am when i reached episode 5 i had to pause. i initially sat up so abruptly it ripped the ipad charger out of my wall. it felt like a joke like this season was so bad it couldn’t be real. and i just sat and cried, not because the show was sad but because i was watching the characters who meant so much to me turn into something they weren’t. it felt like watching the actors playing different rolls on screen.

for the writers to disregard every important development these characters have been through and throw them into a used and tired love triangle. it felt like it was a cheep grab for something that would cause conversation and debates. this didn’t feel like a satisfactory end to their arcs, none of their character arcs felt like they connected to the previous seasons.

and there were small moments i enjoyed. and i’m trying to focus on those. but it’s hard to not feel like my favorite show that i’ve spent years of my life obsessed with is being burned in front of me.

my walls are covered in pages from the comics. my sketchbook filled with doodles of the characters. my middle name is viktor. my klaus and five cosplay are my most worn. i wear my klaus dog tags (that i made) with almost every outfit. i have my diegolila bracelet (again i made it) sitting next to my makeup. everyone who knows me knows i’m obsessed with this show. i got texts early august 8th telling me they hope i enjoy the show because “today is your day! the umbrella academy comes out!” and i had to accept that i already watched it, and it was bad. and now it’s over and that’s how it ended.

Day 2: Casual, this already had me looking up a bunch of references for what Francine would wear, I should just start a whole new pintrest board just for her wardrobe

so life smacked me upside the head so its time to catch up, here's day 3: formal and day 4: street wear

day 5: swimwear which francine would def be more embarrassed to show more skin and day 6: sports wear where i think she would be interested in archery!

im gonna go one step down and do lil baby doodles, day 7 work witch!! and day 8 holiday in samhain which would be the same damn outfit

days 9-12 with the seasonal looks!!! francine gets cold easy so she tends to bundle up :>

day 14: old francine! id think she would love to travel and keep her hand staff, ofc she keeps her usual shapeless clothing style

day 15: heritage! i actually didnt think what ethnicity francine was so i went with witch heritage aka stereotype witch

day 16: historic, wasnt sure where to go with this one so i defaulted to ye olden european healer witch

17: fantasy! i wasnt sure how to do this one as well so i just went off thinking about what kind of hermit druid francine would be

day 18: armor, honestly cant imagine francine decked out in full armor so im made it inconvenient

day 19: cyberpunk: cant really see it but half her head is shaved and uh yeah this one was hard because her asethetic is shapeless to the max

day 20: steampunk which was hard because im not going for that iconic dress corset style day 21: mech and i interpreted this as francine being a robot??? tried to make it interesting by mirroring francine's curse

day 22: mermaid! wanted to see how a jellyfish mermaid might work out

day 23: apocalypse, the one instance where i would def give francine shorter hair

day 24: game and what better game to put my oc into than pokemon she'd be known as professor willow but her friends call her francine and she studies poke evolution specifically the interaction between them and evo stones! but probably once she was a trainer...

day 25: hero! i thought itd be easy if i did a mha hero but i spent most of the day figuring out her quirk w/ my friend her hero name is Open Armed and her quirk is emotional shape shifting, different emotions let her shapeshift in different ways!

day 26: villain! i'd like to think francine would be a terrifying dark wizard who does as she pleases!

day 27: cosplay, in which i am a sucker for eclipsa

day 28: monster! i really wanted to try make francine into a lich bc i thought itd be fun

days 29 and 30: halloween and royalty, ngl i dont have enough brain power to make anything creative so francine partying it up during samhain and ??? generic royalty

When ? Each day from July 31st to August 7th, 2023 will have a theme, however, late submissions are always accepted, you can submit work out of order, and you can opt to only make and submit works for themes that you want ! All themes are open to interpretation and you can even go off script entirely, if so desired.

Where ? All artwork tagged with #StarshippingWeek2023 will be reblogged here in order of submission. If you want to submit something anonymously and have us post it on your behalf, use our ask box or reach out to us through our contact details below.

What ? ALL mediums, ALL sizes, ALL interpretations, be it sketches, doodles, drabbles, fanfics, cosplays, videos, gifs, origami, crafts, embroidery, metalwork, or maybe even pottery - ALL are welcome as long as it predominantly features or implies the relationship between Yusei Fudo and Judai/Jaden Yuki.💙❤️

summary: for tommy’s third birthday, rafe brought the two of you to the obx’s flashing carnival.

warnings: fluff as always, gif credits to @whumpypepsigal ! <3

a bright lovely day was brought to the outer banks on the morning of august 20th.

rafe has his arms wrapped around your body, legs tangled whilst you were in each other’s warm embrace. the soft snores escaping from your lips were fused with the songs that the birds were singing.

it was merely eight a.m. when tommy stirred up. he rubbed his eyes as he adjusted to the light. he let out a small yawn and his gaze fell upon the calendar on his wall, the date today encircled many times with doodles of balloons and a cake adorned on the small box.

he excitedly got up from his bed and hurried towards your bedroom where you and rafe were currently residing.

he twisted the door knob slowly and climbed on the bed, balancing himself as he prepared to wreak havoc on his parents’ peaceful sleep.

“wake up, wake up!” tommy yelled, bouncing up and down on the bed. “it’s my birthday!”

you groaned against your pillow, a yawn escaping from your lips as the boy continued to jump on the bed.

“what time is it, tommy?” rafe asked, his eyes still closed as sleep tried to catch up with him from the sudden disturbance.

tommy flopped down in between the both of you, tapping his chin in thought. “uhh, i don’t know. it’s my birthday though!”

you and rafe chuckled softly as you cupped your son’s cheeks in your hands. you peppered his face with light kisses, his giggles bringing music to your ears. “god, you’re growing up too fast.”

rafe smiled, opening his arms to bring him in a hug. he wrapped his arms around the boy as he laid on top of his chest. “happy birthday, bud.”

the rest of the day was spent at tommy’s favorite ice cream parlor. rafe rented it for a few hours, much to his father’s displeasure, but he’ll do anything to make tommy’s birthday perfect.

the pogues, sarah, topper, and kelce attended the small birthday party, putting the stupid rivalry aside to become one of the cool aunts and uncles for tommy.

they got along, somehow. even going as far as cosplaying superheroes and villains to amuse the birthday boy.

rose and wheezie dropped by, too. rose spoiled tommy the moment rafe told them all about you and him. she loves him, rightfully so.

you prepared a projector and the screen, and spent the rest of the afternoon watching luca, and a few more of tommy’s favorite movies whilst eating tubs of ice cream.

at the end of his party, the now three-year-old now had multitudes of presents. you had to come back again to gather the others since it didn’t fit in your car.

but the day isn’t over yet.

rafe planned something to make tommy’s birthday even more special.

the little boy was practically bouncing around with utter excitement, continuously asking, “are there yet?”

his eyes lit up as he caught sight of the bright flashing lights of the carnival. “wow,”

you and rafe exchanged grins as he parked the car near by the entrance.

you had to hold on tightly onto tommy’s hand because you’re pretty sure he’d run around if you let go. it was his first time being in a fair, and everything from the pretty lights to the creative displays amazed him.

“what d’you wanna do first, tommy?” rafe asked, crouching down to smile at him.

“uhm,” he hummed, his face scrunched up in though. he started to look around, everything was so exciting and he couldn’t choose. although one booth caught his eye, there were stacks of milk bottles on a stool, and huge stuffed bears were hanging on the displays. “that one!”

“alright.” rafe nodded, letting tommy climb on his back for a piggyback ride. “you ready?”

“yeah!” he exclaimed, holding onto rafe’s hair as your boyfriend ran towards the booth.

you let the smile tug on your lips as you trailed after them.

tommy was now on his tiptoes, holding onto the booth’s counter. he was watching rafe intently as he calculated his moves.

you propped tommy on your hip as rafe tried to knock down the milk bottles. you and tommy couldn’t stop giggling at his unsuccessful attempts, which just made him even more persistent on winning.

after six more sets of balls and eight dollars spent, rafe finally managed to knock them all down.

“and we finally have a winner!” the booth manager exclaimed, handing rafe, who adorned a triumphant grin, the three foot tall stuffed bear.

tommy cheered, sliding down your hip to jump up and down in delight. he immediately squeezed the life out of the teddy bear as soon as it was handed to him.

“i love him!” he squealed. “i’m gon’ name him coco!”

“welcome to the family, coco.”

you flopped down on one of the benches after walking around for a few hours, trying to catch a breath as your feet begged for a break.

“you having fun, tommy?” you asked the toddler, dabbing his face with a hand towel to wipe off his sweat.

“yup!” he grinned up at you. he turned around to ask rafe something when he noticed that he wasn’t there. “where’s rafey?”

tommy made a very firm decision that he would call rafe with two names. ‘rafey’ and ‘dad’, always switching between the two.

though he often calls him ‘dad’ whenever he needs something, or he’s done something wrong and he knows that he’ll let him get away with it. he knew that rafe could never resist him.

before you could even reply to him, rafe was already approaching the two of you, two cotton candies occupying his hands.

“is that a cloud?” tommy asked in amazement, making you and rafe laugh.

“no, baby, that’s a cotton candy.” you chuckled before ripping a chunk off and handing it to him. “here, give it a try.”

he hesitantly grabbed it from you and took a bite. his eyes lit up at the sweet melted taste of the candy. he grabbed the stick from you and devoured it as you and rafe shared one.

the three of you spent the rest of the night playing at game stands and trying every ride there was, and rafe settled with the fact that he and the spinning teacup ride were not friends.

from the food court, to the game stalls, and the fun rides, it was time to end the night with a spin on the ferris wheel.

“wow,” tommy mumbled, holding onto you and rafe’s hand for dear life as he gazed across the distance. the stars were especially bright tonight, reflecting across the view of the beach waves.

you smiled softly at him and looked over at rafe, who was already looking at you. you leaned a bit over at him, and pecked his lips, resting your head on his shoulder as the ferris wheel slowly spun.

you held rafe’s hand and coco on the other as you watched the people leave and pack away their stuff. tommy was already quiet and sleepy as rafe carried him.

“did you have fun, buddy?” rafe asked softly, rubbing tommy’s back comfortingly as you walked back to the car.

“yeah, this is the best day ever.” he mumbled, a soft smile gracing his lips despite his drowsiness. “thank you, mommy and daddy. i love you.”
