Do you guys think that Sonic has scars?

Not like Tails’, definitely not like those. Tails’ scars are from ripping fur, burning flesh, badly healed broken bones, deep cuts, and stuff he doesn’t even remember, from before he even met Sonic and started fighting Eggman. So many scars. He’s covered in them, his fur hides them, so he’s lucky that his tails are the fluffiest part of him, that’s where he has the most scars, hes not exactly ashamed of his scars, they show what he’s survived, they show that he came through all that. But still, most of them are a painful reminder that he had to survive, not live, survive.

Now Sonic… Sonic has very few scars, almost none of them from fights or Eggman encounters, his dumb bots couldn’t ever dream of hurting him, he was way too fast for that, way too strong. So they’re not from those fights, no, they’re from something completely different.

All the baby fox fangs marks in his hands, all the deep scratches from tiny little claws in his chest and the back of his arms, all the little cuts close to his face, all of them.

Sonic is proud of those scars.

He’s proud of those scars, because each and every of those scars are a reminder that he baby fox that caused them survived, because every time Sonic bled because of that kid, it was worth it.

Because he tried to bathe him when he was more blood and mud than fur. Because he forced him to take medicine when he was sick. Because he hugged him every time he had a nightmare and wouldn’t wake up even if it meant he would instinctively try to hurt him in the process. Because he held him and didn’t let go even when he felt tiny claws digging and ripping in his skin.

Those scars meant his little brother still wanted to survive. Those scars meant Sonic did everything to make sure he would live.

He’s proud of those scars.

i would like to preface this by saying that i think a really important part of mayoi’s character is that he’s human - no matter what he says about being a filthy little creature or whatever he is human, he has a heart and a soul and he is deserving of the same love and respect as anyone else. as someone with a lot of similar symptoms to him i feel like that’s the entire point of his character and i don’t mean to downplay that at all

HOWEVER. i think it would be really really funny if it turned out that his whole “im a monster” thing wasn’t like. metaphorical or a mental illness thing or whatever

like one day we finally get an event with ayase family lore and he’s just like “and this is my mom :)” and pulls out a picture of baby him with cthulu. it’s revealed that the reason he tends to vanish when overwhelmed is bc being stressed makes it harder to hide The Tentacles™️. someone makes direct eye contact with him for too long and they’re just like “maybe we should get you some sunglasses ( ´ ▽ ` )” (they have witnessed a mere fraction of The Horrors)

i just think people should mess around with eldritch horror mayoi more. especially considering he’s like, terrified of people. reverse eldritch horror

i think its insane that bmo is getting a preschool show. i know hes made to take care of kids but every bmo episode is like

"bmo kills his sibling on his birthday and has to deal with th trauma all on his own forever"

or "bmo is lost in the woods and watching his own biological clock tick away he cant protect the baby he found he cant protect the man he just fell in love with and then his fiance is killed in front of him by the people he promised would protect him"

and "bmo and his reflection just established that they love each other, but they dont love each other more than freedom, now bmo's trapped in the mirror dimension while he and his reflection try to either kill one another or destroy any means of escape"

like i cnat stress enough. every bmo episode is like this. bmo noire, guardians of sunshine, orb, they are all like this. the only lighthearted bmo episodes are president porpoise and always bmo closing, and even president porpoise has bmo forcing dark shit into the game. him and ice king are like yay yay yay little colorful submarine trip:) and then bmo is like SOLDIER WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF AIR AND THE ENEMIES AR E SHOOTING.AT US WE ARE. like, i dont think preschool kids cant have a host like bmo i just think its insane. if they strip all the darkness from his character he'd be so weird. hes a sad traumatized little guy. hes cute and sweet and hes good at taking care of kids, but every bmo episode in advtime proper is dark and wild
