Deep thoughts likely going through Maw Rugg's mind while diving in the river out yonder
Aaaahhhh baby ... doesn't it just feel wonderful, just wearing yourself more than anything on a warm summer's afternoon such as this? Just to be as close to Nature as it can get, not to mention cooling off some without having to annoy that lazy Paw with his interest in utterly nothing ... what must it feel like ... isn't it refreshing, and then some....

MINECRAFT SHINGLES, OMG HEGSJAGAGAKA
This is an amazing way to word it, and I'm stealing that, bcuz this is also exactly what happened to me lol. I'm 21, I've watched MC vids for 6 months now, I've played for 2 xdd
No immunity, only blocks lol
Also, let's unite in being anti-chest-monster, I very quickly realised how overwhelming digging through chests of junk can be for me, it just sucks the enjoyment right out of the game. I've been looking into building some sort of a redstone sorting system, cuz I discovered I really like redstone, but I don't think I'm on that level yet haha
But I love exploring, flying around, collecting pretty blocks, and orgainising everything into neat stacks (that last one scratches my autism brain pfftttt), so it's only a matter of time before I attempt a storage system like that
And I must unfortunately dissappoint you, for I have no real rhyme or reason when it comes to planning my builds 😅
Ideas and block combos just usually pop into my head, and then I try them out straight in the survival world. I sometimes mess up, change blocks, remove things, so it's not an efficient way to do things, but it does work for me. Plus I've noticed I'm kinda like Etho, my houses are mostly just interior lmaoooo. It's usually a hot mess of things I thought are cool at a time, and a consistent building style is something I lack xd. For example, my island is decorated with moss, spruce leaves, ferns, a fire pit, etc. (cabin in the woods vibes), my fields and animal pen are on interconnected artificial islands on my lake, my potion lab is in a basement I dug under said island and I made it with blackstone and a lot of the nether warped stems (evil scientist style), and the house I made is on top of a... futuristic tree I made from glass and leaves, and said house in itself looks like a Rich Person Seaside Mansion, and it's in white and blue
I supppose this is a real representation of my brain xdd
Also, I'm the person who makes farms for communal use, I was sleeping under the sky for SO LONG, cuz I made a gunpowder farm for my friends, an xp enderman one, now I wanna build a gold one in the nether, and I'm wrangling villagers into a trading hall rn (they are a nightmareeeee xddd)
~🌠
Oh gods redstone scares the crap out of me, i feel like i definitely fall on the builder side of things rather than being a more technical player-- but then i also havent messed with it much yet, so maybe i will surprise myself!!! Still, building a redstone sorting system seems real fun!!! Me when i can just sort things automatically.... the autism is Winning™ truly.
Tbh out of all my friends i am the person with the most Planning Brain. Cannot do a single thing on the fly it Must be scheduled, hopefully about three business days in advance at least /hj 😂😂😂😂 this apparently applies to minecraft in that i will open CSP and meticulously edit a screenshot to reflect what i want the area to look like, then meticulously plan a build outline, then carefully mull over multiple ideas for the block palette, then go BACK into the creative world to double check ive got the right measurements from the outline before ever setting foot back in my survival world 💀💀💀
Your builds sound so cool and unique though, thats amazing!!! Glass tree..... looking so intently at that tbh. Also gods i am dreading the part where i need to wrangle villagers for farms 😭😭😭😭😭 especially bc im entertaining the idea of putting all my farms underground so they're beneath/within the ruins i plan to make under the lake near my base. Luckily there is a village literally on the edge of the lake so at least theyre close by 💀

Studies of two pearl-diver types
Peter Potamus and cousins
If ever there was a particularly fascinating exercise that Peter Potamus would have in store for his nieces Pam and Peg, or even his nephew Pat, especially where the dive experience takes them to tropical waters (including an uninhabited atoll in Polynesia Uncharted such as Peter is fond of inviting fellow Funtastics to for diving vacations via the Magic Balloon), it's likely to involve pearl diving.
But not just any sort of pearl diving: It's pearl diving in the classic style of native Polynesians in such regions otherwise uncharted that Peter is fond of visiting. As in breath hold naked down to about 20 to 30 feet, and in particular those giant clam shells with a notoriety for suddenly snapping shut after the diver takes the pearl therein, with consequences best described as horrible dictu.
But then again, there's also clam shells which manage to be rather managable in opening and extracting pearls from, even if they tend to be the size of peas and a diver's knife is brought in to open up the shell (with Peter Potamus supervising their use with the cousins).
Still, the sale of such pearls extracted from wild waters as these does manage to help Peter meet expenses for as much his own journeys as those of the Travelling SCUBA Par-tay. And can those hippos actually dive rather gracefully!
=============
Maw and Shag Rugg
Even if it's just to escape the heat at the higher slopes of the Ozarks as much as Paw Rugg's laziness and ineptitude in the midst of summer, you couldn't have a more interesting duo in freshwater pearling than mother and son (Maw Rugg and youngish son Shag) in a nearby river as actually manages to remain rather refreshing in the midsummer Ozark mugginess.
As well as some ursine cousins from the general area on Maw's branch of the Rugg clan who, during warm spells, will camp out on the shores of this particular stretch of river to try and seek some relief.
And to think such started early on in Shag's infancy, when Maw Rugg had the idea of getting Shag acclimated to swimming and diving by breast feeding him underwater; such entails Maw swimming in her nakedness out close to where the river's shallows start going to drop off, squatting down somewhat underwater and having Shag (naked as well) swim out to her for his dose of breast milk, the experience of which Shag finds rather "cool" (especially when Maw cradles the breast Shag is suckling from to stimulate flow). In time, such would be a prelude for Shag to learn some serious underwater swimming and diving, gradually embracing a fondness for same.
Even more so, finding some clam shells on the river bottom, otherwise undisturbed for the most part, and finding freshwater pearls inside same on occasion. Whether the clam meat was any good, especially fried up, is probably for another time, but still, Maw and Shagg's freshwater pearling dives turn out being rather interesting as such pearls manage to be exchanged at the local general store for groceries as manage to keep the clan going (and the storekeeper managing to find a jeweller as buys the raw pearls).
And even Maw Rugg's extended kith-and-kin have joined in on the pearl-diving excitement during such warm weather campouts on the river bottoms, with Shag managing to find some interesting diving company in the process ... yet even then, it's important that the whole pearling game remains sustainable, so excusing that habit of such as find pearls in clam shells adding a few grains of sand after extraction to ensure that pearls can continue thriving over time.
(Which is not to say that the diving on Maw Rugg's side is only about finding pearls; you have plenty of pleasure diving experiences to be had as well, not to mention many of the younger cubs learning the experience that is diving, many as an indirect byproduct of being breast fed underwater themselves. And just wearing their ursine selves only makes things even more wonderful under an Ozark summer's mugginess, the water on average being about 25 to 30 degrees cooler than air temperatures.)
All in all, two sets of Hanna-Barbera Funtastics who have found as an interesting sort of experience "on the side" the thrill of pearl diving, and what could be described as the experience inherent. Even if such pearling is in different environments and the ensuing pearls manage to come out differently.
