fill out a simple questionnaire (desired species, means of living, fav color, etc.) and get a colored sketch half body + 3 accessories to go with?? 🤔

gotta draw a practice run to use as an example first, but it would be nice to expand my cheaper options 👀

more fun (non-rock) examples since this took off:

having a deer sona can mean identifying with gracefulness, gentleness, adaptability, and can reframe an overreactive startle-response as a natural (if often silly) survival instinct

having a plant sona can highlight values for personal growth, ingenuity, peacefulness, slow but steady progress and deep roots

canine sonas can be about channeling anger into protection. bug sonas can be about finding beauty in perceived otherness. see the theme here?

all of these comparisons and more help us ask the question: ‘if I don’t judge nature for having this quality, why do I judge myself?’

this sounds backwards, but I’ve always loved viewing furries as modern animism - and being one makes me feel more connected to humanity

animism, historically, was never limited to just animals, either. it can be a way of viewing the whole world.

like, a rock on its own is just a rock, but a rock anthropomorphized with anima can become a mirror, reminding us of human values like patience, resiliency, and strength.

I think we forget that anthropomorphism evolved for a reason… and that we can use it to look at ourselves in a more positive light :,)

also, I can eat berries off the bush and think about being a cute silly deer 🦌 . which is awesome. we’re meant to see ourselves in nature because we’re part of it, too :P

just remembered that Twitch is reducing its video upload limit for highlights so that means a bunch of my livestreams are gonna get deleted next month. 😔 (idk how many exactly - I don’t have the time to download and then reupload everything to YouTube so I haven’t even bothered to check lol)

anyways I’ve seen no mention of this change outside my own email, so PSA to anyone with a fav indie Twitch streamer - it’s likely you’ll see a bunch of footage disappear soon.

the current (just recently extended) deadline is May 19th. videos with the least views will be deleted first, until each account is under the new 100hr limit.

oh and to clarify for INPRNT account withdrawals - it takes a month for the sales to clear and then sometimes another month for the paypal transfer request to go through. and then 3-5 days to transfer from paypal to bank. so a decent chunk of time
