OK, here’s the meanings behind Horse Tranquilizer (ketamine) Art Therapy:
art 1 shows Star Being, an OC my therapist encouraged me to make as an inner guide. Star Being is sitting on top of a transparent monolith covered in swirly patterns, and is extending a hand down to me. the monolith represents trauma, and Star Being is inviting me to climb up and view it from a different angle.
art 2 shows Star Being laying down on the monolith, shedding black tears of sorrow and white tears of happiness. the sadness is filling one side of a set of scales and overflowing, while the happiness is missing them entirely, not even being measured.
art 3 has Star Being retreating into a bubble, still shedding tears, but as they float away these tears are shown watering a rose garden that surrounds the monolith.
art 4 shows Star Being far above the Earth, more relaxed now, with the monolith small and insignificant in comparison.
art 5 is Star Being reminding me of the infinite nature of the universe - with lotus flower, ouroboros, and “all-seeing eye” symbolism to represent this.
art 6 shows Star Being resting in this universe; at peace and connected with it.
art 7 shows another starbeing - this one belonging to my bf. ;v; his has wings, mine has antlers. our hands touch and create a mini-universe lotus.
art 8 shows Star Being as a child, surrounded by floating shards of glass that reflect childhood memories - both good and bad.
art 9 is Star Being falling back to Earth. the shards from the previous art have transformed into this kind of flimsy paper armor, which represents how I try to use art as a shield.
art 10 is the hardest to explain, but essentially it shows trying to find balance in life… one row of figures starts as abstract matter and forms into a mask, and the other starts as a spark of light and burns out into a nova.
where they intersect is where I want to be: not masking all the time, but not burning out either. I moved on to less intensive (non-psychedelic) treatment after this, but it was an incredible experience and it helped me through a very difficult burnout.
anyways - thank you if you read all this. 🙏 I hope to see more mainstream usage of psychedelics in therapy (this was done in-clinic and paid for by insurance, believe it or not!!), and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone else struggling with severe depression and/or anxiety. it was truly a lifesaver.

OK. I’ve finally figured it out. here’s how to become an artist in two easy steps:
• Accept That You Will Go Insane Trying
• Learn To Forgive Yourself. Again, And Again, And Again, And Again, And Again.

‘Imposter Syndrome’ makes me realize I need to play more on the unsettling-ness aspect of the glitchy-ness of these headsets RN………
like anytime you see stuttering frames or objects jumping around/awkward cuts in my videos it’s because these things are just glitchy as fuuuuuccckk.
and they honestly suck to work with but at the same time I love the experience so much that I still believe in the damned things!!!!!! augh!!
but I’ll leave more of the glitches in (at least in my personal art) to save myself some headaches.

had to reduce The Imposter's level of detail for recording, but he's actually very complicated and made up of countless writhing tubes.. ........which may also be relatable to others.
