Poetry Corner

Scooba-Doo: Unlikely littermate of Scooby-Doo. But for some reason, an interesting twist in personality.

While Scooby-Doo may have a fondness for exposing sham "ghosts" and "monsters," motivated for the most part by Scooby Snax, expect his kin Scooba-Doo to have for fondness the excitement and fascination of the dive. Motivated solely by a passion for the dive and what diving can seriously feel like.

Made especially worthwhile with contacts in the Hanna-Barberian diver's circle led by no less than Peter Potamus and the Three Wolves, yet wondering if Scooba-Doo has parallels to Freddie, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy serving more as human companions and mentors in the dive experience.

To Scooba-Doo, the diving schtick is all about the diving experience and the sensation thereof, unlike the more legendary cousin Scooby-Doo. (And we know about him, don't we?!) And Scooba-Doo's mantra is "Discover Diving," unlike his cousin Scooby's--I guess you know that well.

And just so you know, Scooba-Doo is an original Hanna-Barbera-stylee character of mine influenced and inspired by Scooby-Doo--and imagined as being from the same litter of Great Danes as included Scooby-Doo in the same whelping. Any further ideas you may have for Scooba-Doo's looks, backstory, companions, &c., would be welcome and appreciated.

I picked up an English copy of the first book to read on a bus ride and oml I forgot how these books encapsulate the queer teenage experience so well it's not even funny. I still can't find a site to watch the movie which is KILLING ME.
