And it’s so slow it doesn’t come to the forefront until the very end and AAAAAAAAA the amount of times Duck laments how no one would care about her as a bird meanwhile fakir looks at her with the most adoring eyes shut up!! Shut up literally shut up!!!! People will love you for the things you hate about yourself and you’ll have no goddamn idea because you’re so wrapped up in how YOU see yourself!!!!! Just read Cullen's note to the Inquisitor if they romance him and god I feel so bad for them. Cullen says "the puppy" bit the note, which implies that their mabari found a partner or they adopted another mabari and had puppies, which means that my Lavellan and Cullen have four kids, a mabari and at LEAST one puppy. This would be manageable if it weren't for them running multiple rehab clinics, the disbanded Inquisition, trying to save the South from Blight, AND trying to save their dumbass friend from himself and also Lavellan's GODS.

So basically they take turns sleeping a whole 5 minutes

Other than that, the note was very sweet and I adore the idea that they gave the other puppies to their friends, I think the best contenders for Mabari owners are Cass, Blackwall, maybe Iron Bull and maybe Cole

Edit: I also forgot that I decided their youngest kid gets kidnapped and ransomed around this time for awhile, so that's definitely not helping either

Could this imply that Jonathan was afraid that him being with Mina at home, even Mr Hawkin's death, are all an illusion? Despite pinching himself like back in May, or touching Mina, or tasting the food, or talking to clients...?

Any and everything could be a sign to Jonathan that he is either mad or dreaming.

Castle Dracula and its monsters were all madness. Perhaps a long nightmare. The nuns scraped him off a train station floor, sick and babbling. Cured him well enough. He must Stay Sane for Mina. He must be a good and healing husband for Mina or else he will be put away with all the other lunatics. He is awake. He is 'better' now.

This, the present in England, is the true madness. His mind broke under Dracula's heel and this is all just the fantasy he's constructed for himself to hide in while the Brides feed on and toy with him. He doesn't want to wake up if so. Doesn't want sanity back if the price is losing this sweet illusion of Mina in his arms and home under his feet. Please, don't make him wake up.

The fact that he can't lock onto what Did Happen and What Is Happening with any real certainty is its own layer of torture.

Regardless of which way he leaned prior to Van Helsing's confirmation, I bet it's also why his sleep gives him so much trouble. The dreams have him back in the castle and in the vampires' teeth. When he wakes, he is with Mina, safely away in England...

...as I'm sure so many of his daydreams went while he was actually trapped in the castle.

No wonder he was a wreck.
