Mars Enters Leo ✨
Tumblr media
Mars entered Leo on November 3, 2024 setting the stage for a dramatic journey that’s going to feel like we’re all living out our own Overboard moment — one of my favorite movies. Have you seen it? Just like Joanna, Goldie Hawn’s unforgettable character, we’re about to get stripped of our comfort zones, thrown into an emotional vortex, 💔 and challenged to find who we really are beneath the glitter and bravado.
In Leo, Mars wants us to be bold, strong, and fearless, our inner Joanna on that yacht, perfectly in control. But come January, when Mars retrogrades back into Cancer, we’re plunged into unfamiliar waters, 🌊 forced to confront the vulnerable parts of ourselves we’ve tried to hide. We may feel lost or exhausted, like Joanna when she faces amnesia and finds her self scrubbing floors while wondering who she even is anymore.
But if the character Joanna taught us anything, it’s that sometimes losing the life we think we need is the only way to find the life we truly want. By February, when Mars turns direct, we’ll emerge with a new understanding of ourselves. Not just the shiny, confident parts, but the raw, resilient spirit that’s always been there. So hold on tight, because this journey isn’t about staying in control; it’s about uncovering the depths of who we are when we LET GO! 🥹🥹🥹
Let’s explore how this Mars-in-Leo-and-Cancer transit might affect you based on the house Mars is and will be transiting.
1st House (Self, Identity, Physical Body)
Mars in Leo brings a surge in confidence, pushing you to change your look or assert your goals boldly. You may start a fitness routine or reinvent your style. Retrograde in Cancer, however, could bring self-doubt or fatigue, prompting you to reflect on your identity and values. By April, you’ll emerge with a refined self-image, grounded in authenticity, feeling stronger and more self-assured in how you present yourself to the world.
2nd House (Finances, Values, Self-Worth)
Mars in Leo energizes your drive for financial growth, encouraging you to make bold investments or explore new income sources. This might lead to a purchase or decision that symbolizes your values. During retrograde in Cancer, financial setbacks or expenses may surface, prompting a reevaluation of your spending habits. By April, you’ll feel more financially stable, with a clear understanding of your priorities and an improved approach to self-worth.
3rd House (Communication, Learning, Siblings)
Mars in Leo will boost your communication style, making you more expressive and confident. You might start a blog, initiate a new learning project, or take on sibling matters actively. Retrograde in Cancer, however, could lead to misunderstandings or introspection on how you connect with others. By April, you’ll find your voice stronger and clearer, enhancing your relationships with siblings, friends, and your approach to learning or local matters.
4th House (Home, Family, Roots)
Mars in Leo energizes your home life, sparking a desire to make changes in your living space or tackle family issues. You may consider moving, redecorating, or taking a more active role within family dynamics. Retrograde in Cancer might bring old family issues to light, prompting deep reflection on past connections. By April, you’ll establish a more harmonious and secure home, ready to embrace your roots and nurture your personal sanctuary.
5th House (Creativity, Romance, Pleasure)
Mars in Leo lights up your creative and romantic life, encouraging bold moves in love or passion projects. You might take a risk on a new romance or dive into an artistic venture. Retrograde in Cancer, however, could bring up past relationship issues or make you question what brings genuine joy. By April, you’ll have clarity on what truly fulfills you, ready to focus on relationships and creative pursuits that offer lasting satisfaction.
6th House (Health, Work, Daily Routines)
Mars in Leo motivates you to take charge of your health and work routines, perhaps starting a fitness plan or tackling professional goals with vigor. Retrograde in Cancer might bring fatigue or health concerns, prompting a reassessment of your self-care habits. By April, you’ll have established a balanced routine that supports both your productivity and well-being, allowing you to achieve goals sustainably without burnout.
7th House (Relationships, Partnerships)
Mars in Leo intensifies your partnerships, inspiring bold actions in relationships and a desire to set clear boundaries. You may feel drawn to confront unresolved issues or clarify expectations. Retrograde in Cancer might bring back past relationship dynamics or make you reflect on emotional needs in partnerships. By April, you’ll have gained insights into what you need from relationships, ready to invest in bonds that support both passion and stability.
8th House (Intimacy, Transformation, Shared Resources)
Mars in Leo drives deep transformations in intimacy and shared resources, prompting you to set boundaries in financial partnerships or open up emotionally. Retrograde in Cancer may bring up trust issues, delays in shared finances, or fears related to vulnerability. By April, you’ll have achieved a stronger understanding of how to navigate intimacy and shared resources, feeling more empowered and secure in both financial and emotional matters.
9th House (Adventure, Higher Learning, Beliefs)
Mars in Leo pushes you toward adventure, encouraging travel, higher learning, or a philosophical shift. You may feel a strong urge to expand your horizons through new experiences or studies. Retrograde in Cancer, however, could delay plans or bring doubts about your direction, making you question your beliefs. By April, you’ll have a clearer vision for your future, ready to embrace new goals and experiences that truly resonate with your values.
10th House (Career, Reputation, Goals)
Mars in Leo energizes your career, motivating you to pursue new responsibilities or leadership roles. You may find yourself tackling big projects or gaining recognition. Retrograde in Cancer could bring professional setbacks or make you question long-term goals, encouraging a reassessment of your career path. By April, you’ll have refined your vision for success, ready to pursue goals that align with your purpose and bring true fulfillment.
11th House (Friendships, Community, Future Goals)
Mars in Leo boosts your social life, inspiring you to take an active role in community projects or future goals. You may feel driven to expand your network or initiate group ventures. Retrograde in Cancer might bring back old friends or prompt a re-evaluation of your social connections. By April, you’ll have clarity on who supports your growth, ready to invest in friendships and group endeavors that resonate with your authentic self.
12th House (Spirituality, Subconscious, Hidden Matters)
Mars in Leo stirs your inner world, pushing you to confront hidden fears or embark on a spiritual journey. You may feel drawn to self-reflection, meditation, or therapeutic practices. Retrograde in Cancer could bring up unresolved emotions or past wounds, prompting a period of introspection. By April, you’ll feel a renewed sense of inner peace, having released old baggage and gained a deeper understanding of your spiritual path.

You made a blog for your ocs!!! How did I miss this!!
Please, if you can, tell me some fun facts about best girl Bria 💕✨✨
What are her hobbies? What does she do for self-care? What kind of books does she like to read? And anything else you can think of!
I did! And you’re my very first ask…I’m absolutely astounded, honestly, that I’ve gotten an ask or that people are checking out this self-indulgent sideblog of mine. Thank you so much for your interest in best girl Bria! I love writing about her; she definitely gets some favoritism from me so I loved answering this. I hope it’s interesting to you and others who aren’t me, but really, just thank you so, so much for giving me this excuse to rant about her!
Let’s start with the actual questions you posed. We’ll start with the hobbies that Bria has. Which really aren’t too many, to be honest. She has far less hobbies than she wants to have or would like to have. In one of Bria’s most toxic traits, she’s super hard on herself and pushes herself to be crazy productive. In her mind, she’s not worth a lot, as a person and as a Guardian, unless she’s always being ‘perfect’ and her idea of perfection is intrinsically tied to being productive. In her mind, she should always be doing something. She pushes herself really hard – she must be among the tops in grades in school. She must not only take care of her other Family members and the house they all share, but she must stay active and current on everything going on in their lives, in their varying hobbies and changing interests and such. When she’s not doing that, she feels she must be training and improving her skills. When she isn’t doing that, she feels she must be learning various subjects that will help the Family, along with learning the wider world of the Mafia.
It leaves her very little time for proper hobbies of her own. However, in the little bits of time she does find herself with in between everything else she does, she does somehow find times to have a couple things that she really loves and considers hobbies.
Bria is definitely one of those weird people who truly enjoy house-cleaning, for one. Other than just feeling like she should be responsible for it, she volunteers and takes over taking care of the house because it’s something she genuinely finds relaxing. House-hold cleaning and chores aren’t too mentally taxing, they’re monotonous, and that gives her overactive mind a break while also allowing her to have an outlet for the huge amount of nervous energy she normally contains. Her favourite chore is the dishes and her least favourite is cleaning the bathroom. Both Guiana, Raf, and Lara always leave it an absolute mess, with Lara’s makeup and skincare stuff always being all over the place, Guiana having a bad habit of just wiping her hair onto the shower wall when it sheds, and Raf leaving spit-out toothpaste in the sink.
Bria also has a really strong interest in not only interior décor but houses and architecture in general. This is expressed during her teen years in first redecorating and rearranging her own bedroom a dozen times over and then doing the same to the house Luca and the Guardians end up sharing. She’ll be the main one deciding how the place is decorated, though she does take the others opinions into consideration. She also checks a lot of real estate listings and I think one of her main guilty pleasures is going to open houses, even when she has no intentions of seriously buying property or anything. It’s surprisingly Tony who often accompanies Bria to these. In fact, later on, when they’re both adults, I see Bria and Tony, who actually shares her interest in architecture, restoring and selling at least one or two historical properties.
Bria also has a real soft spot for paint-by-numbers. She doesn’t really consider herself a good artist. When faced with a blank white canvas or a blank sheet of sketching paper, she has no idea what to create. She becomes overcome with fear about messing up or creating something that’s trash. With paint by numbers, she gets to feel like an artist, while not having to worry about messing up. She knows the picture she’ll create will look good because it has rules and guidelines already in place. She finds intense satisfaction in perfectly filling in each spot and gets excited for the finished product each time. A lot of the art in the places she’ll live are her finished paint-by-numbers and, other than books, these are the gifts that the other’s often think to give Bria.
I say other than books because Bria’s main hobby and her biggest love? It’s reading. She’s been a voracious reader since she was a child. She’s been reading since she was four, encouraged by Luca’s father who would sit and help her sound out words or would read to her and Luca. She was reading junior chapter books by the time she was seven and had progressed to actual novels by the time she was ten. She is a quick reader and, despite pushing herself and having so little time to herself, she aims to finish a book every month, though she does prefer months when she gets through more than just one book.
She’s not really finicky about what she reads. She’s willing to try most genres and styles, such as fiction, non-fiction, poetry and the like. She really loves non-fiction, especially biographies. When reading fiction, she’s a fantasy novel geek, likes some comic books, and is shonen manga trash, which she’s less shy about admitting. Her secret guilty pleasure for fiction though, and the one she tries to hide? She’s a huge fan of romance novels and shoujo manga. The one she ensures she hides? Her love of trashy erotica ala Harlequin novels, Fifty Shades of Grey, Billionaire Boys Club, etc.
As you can probably guess, Bria doesn’t really allow much self-care into her life. Her entire worth is really based around what she can do for others, often at the expense of her own needs, desires, and health. She wouldn’t even know where to really begin with self-care. To her, the term is really about things that she doesn’t have much interest in – bubble baths, skin-care routines, shopping days, and other stereotypical self-care clichés. It takes her a long time, honestly, to realize that self-care means so much more than that and really encompasses anything she feels like doing to relax.
Fun little facts – she paces whenever she gets angry.
She talks with her hands without even realizing she’s doing so.
She’s embarrassed to admit it, but she reads her horoscope and the horoscopes of her family members every day. She’s not entirely convinced of the validity of astrology, but she’s not convinced there’s absolutely no validity.
She goes to bed pretty early compared to some of the other members of the family, but has a hard time falling asleep. It normally takes her at least an hour or more to fall asleep.

Oh! You Must be New.
Tumblr media
Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. Everyone is new at some point. Even me! But it can be a bit of a problem when you find a blog that's been around in some capacity since 2018. There's a lot of gaps to fill in, and hopefully this post will help be a starting point.
While this is a Wilford rp and ask blog, no matter how busy or quiet it may be, it has been around for a long time. M.otherloving came out about a month or two after the blog was set up, and the accuracy of what I was writing meant this blog was on the right track - I was the only person in my circle at the time who didn't need to either make major headcanon changes or opt to abandon canon and go divergent. With every appearance, there's been no major tweaks that have been required to adjust the portrayal. To toot my own horn, it's been fairly spot on.
Between that and natural character development, this can mean that the blog could be a little... 'inaccurate' to expectations, and can cause a lot of confusion for those who aren't 'in the know'. So! Consider this a 101 on the character without needing to trawl through the gauntlet of a two-part bio (the second part isn't even finished yet....)
In brief, I kindly ask that you leave expectations of a reckless madman who fully personifies the "LOL XD RANDUM" and has no clue about anything going on at the door, please. If you want to compare him to a canon appearance, look more toward M.otherloving or Space.
For a lot more info to help get you started, read on.
-
While this Wilf (also known as 'Rose' when interacting with variants) is still eccentric and kooky, he is more grounded in nature. Chances to interact with others and maintain a somewhat normal sense of time flowing in the correct manner have started to help him feel more connected. Not only that, he's starting to get glimpses of his original life as William, and a later life of Wilson Jackson Bartholomew (or just 'Jack'). The latter I haven't gone into much detail yet in general, so don't worry about that. If you see him getting glimpses of these memories, he doesn't go into hysterics. That's important.
He is six foot three, and heavy built. The evidence of his past life as a soldier is there in his broad shoulders, a barrel chest and strong arms, as well as how he can hold himself. However, he's got a proper tubby belly, and this softness almost counteracts the threat of the almost unnatural strength that lies within. His moustache is either pure pink or black with pink tips depending on the day. He's got a curly mop of black hair that has a slight red-pink tint when the light shines on it just right. The only genuine traces of pink in his hair can be found in his fringe, which curls over his right eye. There's usually faint stubble across his jawline, and he flat-out refuses to wear glasses (he'll say it's because he doesn't want anyone missing out on his 'cute chocolate eyes'. Don't believe him. He just doesn't like them and won't humour the idea of contacts). Despite this, he's still athletic, and can move surprisingly fast if you aren't prepared.
He's still a reporter, though these days he's taken a bit of a back seat. His work in the studio is helping the Jims and others who are making their presence known on camera. When he does interview, that reckless, gun-wielding side comes out in full force... But it's more akin to an act than anything truthful to who he is.
Instead, his priority is the Moonlight Roller. It's the reclaimed disco setting of M.otherloving that was redecorated and given a whole new lease of life. I go into a LOT more detail here, but in brief: it is a roller rink, amusement arcade, diner, and bar that is located both in a real location and in between the worlds and stories. If a character needs a break, they'll find a door to the Roller.
Personality-wise, Wilf is still eccentric, but it's closer to a 'weird uncle' mixed with a cartoon character. He's normally upbeat and childish, though he does have his more serious moments. He'll still take time to voice whatever odd thought crosses his mind on the dash, or go directly to another blog if he wants an answer or opinion on something. And to my surprise, he's even tried to be the stereotypical 'bartender who listens to others' woes'. I never thought that would happen! How did that happen?? He used to be notorious for putting his foot in his mouth!
As for his abilities? He's got the abilities to lift things in and out of pocket dimensions. He always has a weapon on his person, even if there's little reason for it these days. He can blink out of existence or disappear if eyes are off him, and use doors as a way to teleport/take shortcuts. This can sometimes land him in different timelines or eras, not that he minds. He's got impeccable aim, and he usually only misses if he chooses to. That's not mentioning his ability to use any weapon after a brief examination with startlingly good skill.
By the way. You can kill him, but he won't stay dead. He'll come back to pester you about it in a few days.
-
This blog also has William, but I don't need to talk about any potential differences. What you saw in WKM is what you get, essentially. His height was rather unusual for his time, and he absolutely used this to his advantage to add to the intimidation factor. He was a loyal friend, but also not the nicest person to be friends with. And if he didn't know you? Good luck!
Sometimes, you may see someone called Liam. This is a 'what-if' timeline where Celine never arrived, resulting in William's death and him taking the role of 'the villain'. Despite the 'what-if', this was actually the intended plan, where William would die, and everyone else would leave, alive and safe. This goes into more detail about that. In brief, his main distinguishing factor is his paralysed left arm as a result of the fatal injury he received during the gun confrontation with the Detective.

For this week I'm dropping a snippet from Chapter 5, as per usual skipping right to the middle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It felt like at least 2 hours had passed before the door opened again. Sabrina kept her eyes casted downward as a pair of boots came into view, crossing over the threshold, their owner humming a familiar tune. I know this melody. It was the song she sang in the cell. He was there, listening. The realization made her look up, her hazel eyes met John's as he neared, stepping into the light that spilled from the chandelier above. He was wearing jeans, a dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up and way too many buttons undone, on top of it was a vest that belonged more in a courtroom than in a bunker in the Middle of nowhere, Montana. "Kept you waiting, didn't I, Deputy?" A dark smirk marred his handsome face, his posture exuding confidence, like he was about to slip into an opening statement any moment. Only in this room he had full reign, assuming the role of judge, jury and executioner. "Probably should consider serving some tea, maybe redecorating your dungeon. Red's a bit on the nose, don't you think? And I wouldn't rate your goon very highly on any scale either." The comment made him chuckle, and she tried to ignore how familiar it sounded, how it pulled on her soul. "Now, I'm not usually late, but someone decided to attempt to derail my Cleansing.", at that he unconsciously went to smooth out his dark hair, making Sabrina realize it's damp. Sabrina narrowed her eyes, the corners of her mouth twitching, "Did someone try to drown you, Seed?"
Don't laugh again. And he didn't, sending a smirk her way instead. "Now, Deputy, enough jokes, there are more pressing matters.", his head tilted slightly, his expression almost… giddy. "What's a joke is you thinking holding a Deputy hostage is a good idea, you of all people should know it's far from it. Aren't you supposed to be a hotshot lawyer?", she couldn't stop her sneer. "Deputy-" Sabrina cut him off, "I have a name." "Yes. Sabrina Blythe Donovan.", he said it matter-of-factly, but Sabrina could tell he took pride in that knowledge. It didn't shock her he knew her full name, with Nancy being on Eden's Gate side no doubt information about the whole Sheriff's Department was leaking like a sieve. A dry laugh escaped her, "Next you're going to tell me the name of my first boyfriend." John crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow, "Knowledge is power after all. And, Sabrina, you wouldn't be here if you didn't try to arrest my brother. You all had choice and it led to this." She pushed down the feeling at how familiar her name sounded on his lips, the twinge of longing it caused in her was nothing. It had to be. "There was an arrest warrant. I was just doing my job. Your brother is a criminal, and so are you and all of your people." "I'm doing MY job, Deputy. You're a sinner and so are your friends.", he retorted, his words full of conviction as he headed for his torture table. Sabrina froze, expecting him to notice a knife was missing, when he said nothing, she continued, "Why AM I here?" The words came out sharper than intended, carrying the tone she used when interrogating suspects back in Portland, the one that got her straight answers and stripped away all the nonsense. John turned, a look of amusement flashing across his face as he leaned against the table, legs crossed at the ankles. "I should be the one asking questions here, Deputy." "Old habits die hard, I was a-" "A detective back in", a dramatic pause, he raised a finger, "Portland. And you left it all behind to work for Whitehorse. Can't wait for you to tell me why." "I'm not telling you shit. I don't know what you think you're doing-"
John stalked towards her with swiftness that took her aback as he grabbed the armrests of her chair, the force behind his movement making the wheels skid across the floor. His face had grown serious, piercing blue eyes boring into hers as he loomed over her. "You will talk, confess every sin, no matter how small. I know exactly what I'm doing here." Their proximity sent a shiver up her spine and she tried to tell herself it was the bad kind. He was so close to a point Sabrina could smell the musky scent of river that clung to his skin. He had indeed taken a dive, her amusement at the confirmation died down quickly. His nearness, the position of his hands as he held onto the chair allowed her to see his tattoos in detail for the first time. In seconds her whole world came crashing down, her blood froze. No. She knew these tattoos, had seen them countless times in her visions, had drawn them over and over to the point they were embedded in her memory. NO. The hand holding hers as the world ended. The man that called her "Butterfly". It was John. John fucking Seed. His voice snapped her out of her thoughts, "Hm. A butterfly." He was looking at her tattoo, at one of the butterflies that wasn't hidden by the strap of her top. As if she needed any more reminders of the tragic realization she had just came to, John said the damned word again as he backed away, "Why a butterfly, Deputy?" He was back to being nonchalant, like the outburst hadn't even happened. All she could do was blink, wishing her eyes were lying to her. "You still with me, Sabrina?", it had finally hit him she wasn't replying, that she wasn't talking back. Breathe. Focus. Snap out of it. "Wish I wasn't, won't lie.", she tried to hold onto her composure. Silence took over as John went back to his table, picking up a tool, looking it over then placing it down with care and grabbing another one, repeating the process.
It felt mechanical, like a show. Her own knife felt heavy in her hands, the tip prickling her skin, a wake-up call. She knew what she had to do in order to get back to Savannah, imagined it in the hours he made her wait on him. Plunging the blade deep, ending a life. But doubt was creeping in…
Her plan, the dark path she planned to take, there was a chance she would fail, she had seen him alive too many times. And her most recent vision… from the sounds of that one he was breathing and pissed off. John spoke up again, his attention still on the table in front of him, "My brother's church. Let's start there. You saw something." It wasn't a question, he sounded sure of it. She hadn't been able to hide her distress, even tried to stop the arrest. A new path became visible. A plan with a giant leap of faith. Probably the most dumb and risky decision she has ever made in her life. He wanted answers, and she was going to play along. For now. "I will tell you what I saw, but I doubt you'd believe it, they never do." Another smirk, making her feel nauseous. "Try me, Deputy." "I saw the crash. Before it happened, I mean." "A vision.", he nodded mostly to himself, "Joseph has them." "You believe then?" "They're from God. Of course I believe him." John believed Joseph, not her. She was used to people's scepticism, but she had a way to prove it this time. "There's more, John." Something flashed across his face at her saying his name outloud for the very first time, but the mask was back in place too quickly for her to figure out what. Focus. Her mother was good at selling any con, always knew how to approach a person, what they'd want to hear, which buttons to push.
"Say his name. Look him in the eyes and sell the idea, make him think it's his own, darling. There's always be an offer a man won't be able to refuse, one he'd throw himself in the deep end for, willingly. And when he's about to sink, you offer a hand, pledge your loyalty. He'd be a goner before you know it."
A part of Candice lived in Sabrina, and for once she let it take over. "I will tell you what's coming, but I will need something in return.", her voice sounded unshakeable, certain, the exact opposite of how she felt inside. John didn't break her eye contact, nor interrupted her. Sabrina got up from the chair, discarding the ropes as her hands dropped to her sides. "You've been untied this whole time, Deputy?", his eyes shone with amusement again. She took a few steps until she stood almost in front of him, her hand holding out her knife. Surrendering her weapon. "And you had a knife?"
When he made no move to take it, Sabrina placed the blade on his "work" bench and walked back, sitting down in the chair and rubbing her wrists. "I won't lie, I was planning on killing you." "And yet you didn't. Why?" "A change of circumstances." The look of curiosity refused to leave his face, "What's coming, Deputy?" It was a gamble, but she had seen him in a different light, the man from her visions was somewhere in John. Burried deep, probably half dead. I just have to dig him out. Use him to get back to Savannah. "Can I see your watch? Your men took mine." In few quick strides he was in front of her, offering his right hand for her, "You planning on pulling something else on me?" It was 11 am. "I had better opportunities to stab you now, didn't I?", her tone was matter-of-fact, she slipped back into her "let's get to the point" mode, "At what time does Mathias bring my lunch?" John quirked an eybrow, crossing his arms over his chest, "Mathias? You know his name?" "At what time, John?" "12:30, maybe 1 pm. Why? And this time answer the question, Sabrina." "An alarm will sound at noon, about an attack. Seems like you have time to prepare. That's all I can say." She couldn't read John's face, the mask of indifference had slipped back on as he shouted, "MATHIAS." The Peggie poked his head in as the door opened, proving she wouldn't have made it far if things have gone sideways with her original plan. "Yes, boss?" John's eyes remained glued to hers, as if searching for answers. "Take the Deputy back to her cell. I'm done talking." John broke their eye contact, marching off without another look at Sabrina and picking up her knife as he passed by the work bench. To her surprise, he pocketed it. Mathias was staring at her strangely, "Well, you heard him, Sinner, get up and start walking.", he paused, "Why are you untied?" Sabrina said nothing, she wasn't about to give him advice how to more successfully keep someone prisoner. The Peggie grabbed her arm forcefully, leading her back down the same way, not letting go until she was in her cell. She was on her own once again, sitting on the floor, her gaze on the tally marks on the wall, wondering if she should start counting the days too. The whole encounter had left her feeling empty, she had no idea if John had bought into her plan, his demeanor at the end felt bizarre, like another act he was putting on. It wasn't lost on her he stormed off before promising to keep his side of the deal or even asking what she needed in return. Sabrina was glad about one thing: he might have taken her knife, but she stole his too. She let out a deep sigh, her words were but a whisper, "Him. From all people. It had to be him." "God" or whatever was sending her the visions was probably laughing at the irony. For years she had questions, wondered who the stranger she kept seeing was and why he was showing up in them again and again. Not once was she able to see a face clearly. Anytime she'd meet a man for the first time, she'd ask herself if the moment for answers had arrived, but none of them ever came close, they never matched him. "Until today. Fuck.", it came out as a growl. She covered her face, her hands scrubbing at her skin, as if to wipe away all the things she'd been forced to witness ovetime that involved him. It pained her how much comfort she'd found in those visions, they were a rare constant in her life, a break from all the other glimpses into disaster and suffering. They were purely hers, something to hold onto and she had lost that too. "Knowledge is power, eh, John?", a sad laugh escaped her, "I'd rather not have found THAT out."

Hello!!
You've likely noticed that i'm trying to redo my main blog. Why? Idk, new year? To be fair, my ADHD really won't let me stay true to one style of things. I always have to constantly change it because in all fairness, i get bored rather quickly if i can't keep things going--kind of like a ball rolling down a hill. Probably not the best analogy, but it's close enough.
This blog will mostly be dedicated to original works, be they old and having been collecting dust in my online storage since the dawn of time...or new, as i just think of it. This place will obviously be redecorated as need be, but i'm most using it for Writeblr purposes. Will i ever have an RP blog again? Maybe :) it's more likely than you think! But i'd have to get, like...a lot of people who would be on board with that. Or hell, maybe i'll just do it on a whim. I never know where that's gonna take me. I can either be hyper-fixated on something for months on end (lookin' at you, Welcome Home era. That was actually a really hard one to break, ngl) to just a few fleeting hours.
Consider this something of an introduction post, i guess? Call me as you will. Steph, Masked, Mx. Lorekeeper, etc..
I know what the blog description says, but i mess with all kinds of genre. From fantasy, to horror, to angst, and anything in between! I've either written it for a bit...or have dabbled with it. ;) But, i tend to mostly stay in the fiction-side of things, mixed with a hint of realism. Magical realism? I think that's the terminology i'm looking for?? Either way, i've written gods, monsters, Eldritch deities which the world has never seen, draconic demigoddess witches, the Fae, and many, many more.
You'll probably see all kinds of topics and tropes used in my writing...so a fair warning to all on this blog: i will be tagging my works with the appropriate trigger/content warning and a read-more, as needed (or if the piece is just ungodly long, save y'all the scrolling on your dashboard). If need be, a Dead Dove, Do Not Eat warning will be placed at the tip-top of the post. Tl;Dr -- I do and WILL tag my writings accordingly, and should you choose to read and then continue?
Well...don't say i didn't warn you, is all i gotta say for ya, boo.
Otherwise, i'm literally just a 25 year-old goober trying to make ends meet at a stupid, little retail job. Come and talk to me! I assure you i don't bite! UwU' I'm likely more scared of you, than you are of me, and usually once you do: well...be prepared to have someone yapping either about their own characters, music, and a small selection of fandoms.

Rainy Day, Are We Staying In?
Majority of my blog is involved with darker, gloomy stuff. For instance, a song I chose to describe me was on the sadder side. It is one that is made for the heartbroken people out there. As stated in the post, I do use music to express myself. There is just a variety of genres that you could relate to, and it will not disappoint. I am sure many could relate with expressing yourself with music, it can either be by making it or simply just listening to what has been made. Dissecting music by the instruments, vocal, and lyrics really soothes you.
A painting I chose that stuck out to me was a more negative one from what I concluded of it. It is unnamed, but it is by Jackson Polluck. It stuck out to me because it was the only one I have seen where the canvas was not filled, as well as all the red that was splattered.Within the controversial fact that red is known as anger. This painting led me to believe there was some sort of death that was going on.
When I mention the domestic architectures I include how my home consisted of just arguments at one point. Being away from home was a priority for me, I did not like the energy around me, and wanted to be away at all times. I can say with the redecoration a lot has changed and it has been more homey-like.
Even for the poem I had to choose, the title being “Flowers faded and gone”. Going through my blog, it is safe to assume that I may just have a sad soul. Even if a stranger were to go through my blog, I am positive they would say the same. To me it is an easier target since it is what I relate to more. There definitely is a mood brightener with me adding sky pictures. Considering the fact it is what makes me happy. Definitely what I would spend my day off doing.
The pictures I took involve piers, bridges, and the beach. It is the scenery I fall in love with, and with how peaceful I find it. When I think of relaxing I would picture myself being at a scenario with a sunset. The photos I have include various pastel colors giving off a happy vibe. Completely contradicting the other posts I have on my blog. These places for me do mean a lot since it is where I make most of my memories as well. It is where I can hangout with people peacefully and unbothered.

Cadybear's Reviews- #LoveHacks
Welcome to the seventh official Cadybear's Reviews post! Today I'll be talking about #LoveHacks, which I have ranked on the "Gold Tier" at 8 stars out of a possible 10. My last and only playthrough of this series was back in February 2022.
I quite enjoyed this one and found it hilarious.
It seems to get low opinions from other members of the fandom and while it certainly isn’t one of PB’s best works, I think it’s far from being in any of the bad tiers. I will say though, Book 1 felt like one hell of a fever dream. It wasn’t bad or anything, it just felt a little bizarre. The pacing of the plot was just fucking everywhere, and MC befriending Mark’s friends felt very rushed.
I do like that they had a lot of free outfits, especially since I generally found them more appealing than most of the diamond outfits. But I hated that characters (in Book 1 anyways) would throw a hissy-fit when you chose free outfit options. Characters really wanna complain about my new formal fit looking too “plain” when not only do they wear the same shit every day, their own formal fit is the exact same style as my formal wear? Fuck off.
Also, everyone seemed way too hard on Cole for some reason? I think they’re maybe going for a “Shut up, Meg” kind of gag with him or whatever you call that trope…? But… it could get a bit overbearing at times. That trope works best if the character actually deserves it, but some of the stuff Cole got shit for just felt way too innocuous to me? Especially in the earlier chapters, it didn’t really sit right with me.
I definitely think the series picked up around Book 2. There’s much less shaming of free outfit choices, and the plotlines felt significantly more grounded and focused while still maintaining a sense of wild humor. “Unleash the panther” will always be iconic to me.
As a side note, I would consider this one semi-pointlessly genderlocked. Or semi-pointfully genderlocked. Whatever, same thing. On one hand, a fair amount of the story is driven by Martin and TJ being misogynistic to MC, which eventually prompts her to leave ClickIt to start her own blog page with Leah. On the other hand, I feel like a sort of a workplace sexism story could maybe be adapted for a male MC too.
Whereas a female MC deals with being looked down upon because the guys think she’s trying to “redecorate” or “feminize” things at ClickIt, a male MC might be looked down upon for refusing to indulge in their sort of “alpha male” mindsets. Considering it’s unfortunately pretty common for these kinds of people to deem other guys as “low testosterone beta male soyboys” if they stray even the slightest from being stereotypically masculine. I’m just spitballing here, but I do think it's worth exploring how these guys might have treated a male MC.
Overall, it’s good as a “lighthearted chill fun” Choices series with a compelling enough storyline.

Exploring the World of Laminates: What Experts Say
Tumblr media
Laminates have become a popular choice for homeowners and designers alike, and for good reason. These versatile materials offer a wide range of benefits that make them a valuable addition to any space.
In this blog post, we'll delve into the world of laminates and explore what experts have to say about their applications, advantages, and considerations.
Durability and Longevity
One of the key reasons experts tout laminates is their remarkable durability. Laminate surfaces are designed to withstand the test of time, making them an ideal choice for high-traffic areas. Their resistance to scratches, stains, and moisture makes them a wise choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and other spaces where wear and tear are common.
Expert Opinion
John Smith, a renowned interior designer, states, "Laminates are a go-to solution for clients seeking longevity and low maintenance. Their ability to resist damage from everyday use is truly remarkable."
Aesthetic Versatility
Laminates come in a plethora of styles, patterns, and colors, allowing homeowners and designers to achieve almost any desired look. Whether you prefer the natural look of wood, the sleek appearance of stone, or something entirely unique, laminates can provide the aesthetic you want without breaking the bank.
Expert Opinion:
Sarah Johnson, a leading architect, notes, "Laminates are a game-changer when it comes to design. With a broad spectrum of options, you can achieve a custom look without the hefty price tag."
Easy Maintenance
Tumblr media
Low-maintenance materials are a top priority for many homeowners. Laminates are a breeze to clean and maintain, making them an excellent choice for busy households. A simple wipe-down with a damp cloth is usually all that's needed to keep laminate surfaces looking as good as new.
Expert Opinion
Mike Williams, a home improvement specialist, comments, "Laminates are a dream for homeowners. They're easy to clean and don't require any special treatments or products. This simplicity is a huge plus."
Cost-Effective
Laminates are a budget-friendly alternative to expensive natural materials like hardwood or stone. They provide a similar appearance and durability without the high price tag, making them accessible to a wide range of consumers.
Expert Opinion
Lisa Anderson, a renowned real estate expert, emphasizes, "Laminates offer a fantastic return on investment. You can achieve a high-end look without breaking the bank, which is especially appealing to homeowners looking to maximize the value of their properties."
Environmentally Friendly Options
In today's eco-conscious world, experts praise the availability of environmentally friendly laminates. Many manufacturers produce laminates that are certified as low-VOC (volatile organic compounds), contributing to a healthier indoor environment.
Expert Opinion
David Green, a sustainability advocate, says, "Eco-friendly laminates are a significant step forward in sustainable design. They help reduce the environmental impact without compromising on style or functionality."
Conclusion
In the world of interior design and home improvement, laminates have secured their place as a versatile and budget-friendly material. Experts agree that laminates are durable, aesthetically diverse, easy to maintain, cost-effective, and even environmentally friendly, making them a practical choice for a wide array of projects. So, whether you're renovating your kitchen, remodeling your bathroom, or redecorating your entire home, laminates should be high on your list of considerations. Their benefits, combined with expert endorsements, are enough to make any homeowner or designer seriously consider the incredible potential of laminates.

hello, long time no see. how are you? i hope you’re well.
a bit of news to share, some thoughts that I’ve been turning around. I’ve decided that this blog needs a bit of a tonal shift and have made an alteration to my username. as you may have guessed by now quinn isn’t/wasn’t my legal name but rather a pen name used to keep my identity a bit more under wraps. understandable, i think many of us who have been on the internet for a while (or grown up with it as is my case) have picked up the habit. or maybe not; i’ve always been rather guarded about myself online.
it’s official: i’ll be starting a PhD soon. this fall actually. i’d like to keep posting here but PhD work naturally becomes more specified and thus easier to backtrack to find the person behind the screen. i’ve considered just closing this account but i’d like to help other students and young academics as much as i can through sharing my struggles and experiences in an attempt to at least let someone somewhere know that they aren’t alone. that it will always be better in the end.
i’ve done a lot of healing in the time that i’ve been here, and in the time i’ve been away. there’s been far fewer posts of aesthetically handwritten notes and fancy coffees and old books, a shift away from the dark academic and rather dramatic persona i took on at first. i’ve grown to accept parts of myself i’ve spent so long trying to reject, but in doing so realized i made that rejection a cornerstone of the persona epitomized by my previous moniker.
when i started this blog i wanted to push parts of myself away, to adopt a facade of someone cool, calm, and collected. someone unaffected, elegantly detached, twirling away in the world of theory and grand ideas. but i’m not like that. no matter how much i try, i’ve come to understand that that can never truly be me. i get far too wrapped up in the work that i do, far too personally and emotionally invested to be able to skate above it all or maintain the air of aloofness i once so desperately wished to have. i am messy and chaotic and anxious and shy. i write more smoothly than i’ll ever speak; talk too quickly in overlapping thoughts that come out in fragments that end to abruptly or not at all. there’s an softness to me i cannot shake away, an uncertainty i cannot cut out. a tendency to monologue and write for far too long (thank you for bearing with me even this long). an instability of energy, a desperation to know more, always more. an over-attachment to the things i study and the things i love.
to continue under the name quinn now feels disingenuous, and i don’t tend to enjoy that. there are boundaries to what i have shared and will continue to of course, but i’d rather do so under pen name that better reflects who i am, even the unpolished parts, rather than who i’m trying to perform as. i feel i owe myself that much. can’t heal from wearing one mask by putting on another one.
there may be some cosmetic changes to my layout in the near future, some casual redecorating. i’ll be updating my pinned post over time, editing my tagging system to reflect the change. but for now i just wanted to say…
hello. how are you? i hope you are well. you can call me ash.

Hello, hello! This week, we are going on a little:
Home Tour!
Notes: Answer the following with pictures (dialogue from your characters is optional!). Collages are highly encouraged if you want to answer a question with multiple pictures because tumblr mobile only allows 10 total pics. Otherwise, tumblr on a desktop lets you add multiple pictures (non-beta)!
For both:
What does the outside of the home look like? (Front/back yard, garden, pool, etc)
Living room and home office (if any)?
Kitchen and dining room?
Bedrooms? (Master, guest, others)
Other rooms?
Do you own your dream home? If not, what does that dream home look like?
What is your favorite room to spend time in with each other?
Hi babe! Thanks for the fun questions! Hope you like them!
So, little bit of context: Nat and Ethan recently bought this house after finding out that Nat was pregnant with their third child [Lydia]. So, I imagine them doing this tour shortly after Lydia’s born and they’ve settled into the house. Enjoy!
(Also, please imagine Nat doing with this with a baby strapped to her in one of those wrap things ‘cause that is the cutest damn visual and I need it to be seen).
Previous Questions
For both: What does the outside of the home look like? (Front/back yard, garden, pool, etc).
Nat: Ethan likes a much more modern look when it comes to houses while I prefer more traditional so we tried to find something that matched both. Instead, we ended up finding this beautiful Victorian and we both fell madly in love with the place!
Ethan: I have to admit, it surprised me how much I love this place. But I can’t imagine us living anywhere else now.
Tumblr media
Nat: You can’t see it in the picture but the front yard is completely gated which is a huge weight off my mind. With two kids under the age of six and a newborn, the last thing I want to worry about is my kids getting out of the front yard. The gate has a special lock on it too so only people with the code can get in or out. It gives us so much peace of mind.
Tumblr media
Nat: We really wanted the backyard to feel like an extension of the house so we decorated it as such. It’s great in the summer time when we can have friends over and have a big cookout.
Tumblr media
Nat: Ethan installed the hammock for me shortly after we moved in. I had always wanted one as a kid and now we get to curl up there in the evenings whenever we want. Plus, the kids love it.
Ethan: *smiles* Next on the list is to set up a vegetable garden. I would have done it sooner but with Nat so close to giving birth when we moved in, I decided it was worth the wait. But by next spring, I’m hoping to have it set up and ready to go.
Living room and home office (if any)?
Ethan: Technically, we have two living rooms. The first one is more of a formal living room where you can sit and talk with guests, if you want. It’s not pictured but there’s a large fireplace with some bookshelves around the room. We treat it kind of like a study. It’s also where we plan on putting the Christmas tree come the holidays.
Tumblr media
Ethan: The second is our “informal” living room-- or “den” as Nat calls it. This is where the television and game consoles are. This room probably gets the most use out of the house since this is where we have movie nights and just spend most of our time when we’re home.
Tumblr media
Nat: Don’t forget the office, babe.
Ethan: Oh, right! We try not to bring our work home with us but with both of us working on books right now, we figured it was important to have a good work space away from the rest of the house.
Tumblr media
Nat: I admit, I was worried about the black interior when we first saw it, but I’m kind of in love with it now.
Ethan: *smirks* I knew you would.
Nat: *rolls her eyes* Hush, you.
Kitchen and dining room?
Nat: Ah, Ethan’s favorite place in the house!
Ethan: One of my favorites, at least.
Tumblr media
Nat: You know, before moving I never understood the hype for all-white kitchens. But I get it now! Look at this place, it’s so bright and open! And remarkably easy to clean.
Ethan: I could’ve told you that a long time ago, my love.
Nat: Yes, but I probably wouldn’t have believed you. *Ethan laughs*
Tumblr media
Nat: You know that chandelier is original to the house? This whole room is, actually. It was basically untouched during the renovations. They just upgraded the windows and re-stained the flooring. The rest of the room is virtually untouched, which I absolutely love.
Bedrooms? (Master, guest, others)
Nat: Our room isn’t too fancy. Ethan likes it clean and simple and I like a lot of pillows. I think we managed that alright.
Tumblr media
Ethan: We’re trying to keep the kids rooms as neutral as possible right now. Their interests are changing so fast that we don’t want to have to keep redecorating every time they change their mind. We’ll probably do more detailed decorating as they get older.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other rooms?
Nat: We do technically have a guest room but it’s not considered a “bedroom” since it doesn’t have a closet.
Ethan: It’s a room in our basement that acts as a guest room. The rest of the basement we’re treating like a kids playroom and home gym.
Nat: It’s also where my mom has been staying for the last few weeks. She came up to help us settle in with baby Lydia. She’s been a godsend. *Ethan nods in agreement*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you own your dream home? If not, what does that dream home look like?
Nat: Absolutely we own our dream home. This place is amazing and everything I ever wanted in a family home.
Ethan: I never pictured myself with a big house or living in the suburbs, but here, surrounded by my family... it’s beyond my wildest dreams. This is better than a dream home; this is heaven. *Nat smiles and kisses his cheek softly.*
What is your favorite room to spend time in with each other?
Nat: Oooh, that’s a tough one. I love all of the rooms. But I think I’m gonna have to say the den and the backyard.
Ethan: Agreed. Any space where I can spend time with family is my favorite place to be.

Alright so here’s the deal. I’m going to be making some big changes to my main (monochromatic) and my side blog (this account) starting in the new year, and I just thought I’d be transparent to anyone who’s started following me on here since the big boom in eruri fandom in the last year.
This blog has always been a multi fandom reblog space, and for the last few years I have felt constrained to cater to only 1 specific fandom. However, with my recent re-hyperfixation on batfamily content, i’m going to be trickling in more superhero content on this blog space. It feels viciously unavoidable and all consuming *ugly laughter*
So with that being said, if you followed me on here for eruri- don’t worry, i don’t plan on leaving fandom anytime soon, not to mention the fact that I still have PCRF doodle requests to get through. Just wanted to give you guys a bit of warning that this space won’t be solely dedicated to eruri anymore and will likely be a more unfiltered doodle blurb rando thoughts kind of space.
My MAIN however, will be redecorated to cater to all my future fan-projects (fanart, youtube videos, published fanfics... etc) So if you followed me specifically for the content that I create, consider following me on there too.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk, I hope you guys have a beautiful and fruitful new year! <3 <3 <3 Stay Lovely!
