I love Wonder Woman very much and I love her potential to explore themes of truth’s different meanings and violence against women and what it means for trauma to be passed on or processed in different circumstances but unfortunately all this potential is snubbed by her support of the military vis a vis her solider boyfriend and her origins as a character designed to encourage women to join the war effort. I think if you wanted to give her story real impact and meaning this would have to be completely removed and as such I long for a universe where Etta and the Holliday Girls are an internationally touring band and Steve is their loser friend who manages the finance and Diana follows them all around as the friend who can’t hold an apartment

"nooo, the light! it burns!" he exclaims dramatically with a hiss as someone comes in to interrupt his little sanctuary. as much as he enjoyed being out in the sun being sardined by a whole bunch of people, and how much he actually enjoyed loud, live music...he didn't connect with any of the stuff the festival had to offer genre wise (no matter how fucking dreamy hozier and his voice were, but you didn't hear that from him). the second the man discovered the little resting spot he found himself letting out a sigh of relief, sinking into the couch instantly and bopping a bit to kiss' i was made for loving you while asking for a drink...he didn't care what kind, just as long as it was strong. "you here to take me away? so soon? this little diddy and i were just gettin’ to know each other…" he's still speaking with that dramatic tone of voice, clutching his drink in hand with an exaggerated look of distress on his face, emphasized with a jutted out lip.
Louis was so authentic yesterday, i mean, he could've changed the setlist, or his outfits, or his hair, and so many more things for 100k mostly(expected) mainstream people, but BUT this boy did everything the way he did on tour
Why?( I think)Because louis learnd the really really hard way that you only gain fans, so called forever fans, if you show them the most true side of yourself that you can,You sing the Songs that you like, you go on stage in your beloved outfits, you feel the emotion in the crowd and give it back, you make random things and don't try to be funny
I'm so excited to see what this year has in store for louis, his way with us is so pure and i only hope more people see him in the way he has to be seen(there is an explicit way to love louis)
My heart his so full at the moment and its not only pride, its like this right here is our history moment, the moment louis will experience and create something so much bigger than he ever dreamed of
He doesn't know me, i know that, but i will forever pay and pray for him, because that boy was so
Big town events meant one thing: drama. Tomas lived for it. Well, correction - not to be involved in it, but to watch the unraveling of unhinged people doing the most unexpected things. Truthfully, Tomas turned it into a game where he’d make bets with whoever he was witnessing the trainwreck with on what would happen next. Watching the obvious ending of a relationship, Tomas hadn’t looked away for a good five minutes before he glanced to Farrah. “He definitely cheated,” Tomas pointed out, nodding toward the unsuspecting couple who were sitting two tables from them. // @farrahfields - sitting at a table by the food trucks

Attending ACL with thousands of others this weekend, my expectations were pleasantly exceeded. A certain clarity was achieved this year, one that I failed to understand the previous two years. Going with people you love can create a kind of love that defies all definitions. The combination of wonderful music stimulating all parts of our brains, the acceptance, the love, the diverseness, the passion, all creates a combination of a good time for any and all. Music does a magical thing to the brain, proving that jam packing a weekend with hundreds of bands and local businesses can create a sense of community. When we put our differences aside and share the passion of a cross-culture experience we show the true essence of the social creatures we are. Connecting this with my personal growth in understanding music as well as living in the moment is an experience that brings tears to my eyes, and an experience I think everyone should reach for. Even if not in the sense of music, I take away from this festival that the best way to seek a content state of mind is to try to live in the moment, and appreciate the natural beauty in life. To have a moment where nothing in the past or future matters is one I describe as true happiness.
Sometimes, when I listen to a particularly good song, I can envision a scene and the emotions brought with it, and it makes me sad that my art and animation skills aren’t good enough yet to depict it to others the way I see it
Networking in Music: Strumming Connections Without Missing a Beat!
In the world of music, mastering your instrument is only half the battle; the other half is about making connections. Networking in the music industry can sometimes feel like playing a complex jazz solo—full of improvisation, unexpected twists, and the occasional missed note. But fear not! Just as a good musician knows how to keep the rhythm, so too can a savvy networker. In this article, we’ll…
